FEW DAYS HAD PASSED SINCE THE FULL MOON incident, Luna was feeling much better after the long naps she has been having. Cora had been staying with her brother and his girlfriend. She had met her niece, Hope, and it was in first sight that she had fallen in love with the small human being. The four of them really had gotten to know each other more especially Cora with Derek since the last time he had seen her was the fire.
Cora had spent her days either playing with her niece or training and preparing herself to go after the Alphas.
Luna sat on the floor with Hope, the two were playing with the color blocks she had in her room. She would randomly pick up a block and throw it across the floor which would leave Derek to walk over to pick it up.
Cora was doing pull ups on a metal pole making Derek sigh, "Stop. You're not done healing."
She dropped onto her feet before glancing her brother, "Yeah? Well, I'm done lying around."
"Then sit." He stated just as she got on the ground to prep for push ups.
"Are you gonna help me go after them?" Derek's eyes shifted towards his girlfriend who played with their baby, she caught his stare. He turned away before swiping his younger sister's hand causing her to fall.
Cora frowned in anger quickly jumping to her feet, Derek blocked the hits she threw towards him with ease. She grew irritated throwing her hands down to her side, "Come on. Fight back!"
Derek stayed silent looking at his sister, the disbelief covering her face. "I came back for this?"
She scoffed catching the mother's attention along with Hope's, "I can't believe I got my ass thrown in a vault for three months for you. All those rumors I heard. A powerful new alpha, one of the Hales was building a pack."
Her head snapped towards Derek's, "Do you know how long I waited to hear something like that? Do you have any idea how it felt to find out you were alive?"
The alpha's head hung low making a pain feeling make its way into Luna's heart. "I'm sorry to disappoint you."
Suddenly the alarm in the loft began to blare immediately Luna jumped to her feet with Hope in her arms. Derek turned sending Luna a look which she nodded to and within that second she sped out of the room towards the back where stairs led towards Rebekah's loft.
"What's happening?" Rebekah jumped up to her feet taking in the child as her mother handed Hope to her. "It's the Alpha's. Get her out of here."
And with that Rebekah was gone. Luna sped up into her loft just as the Alpha Derek had dealt with from the hospital pulled opened the door. He released a growl making Cora grow back as she began to run.
"No, wait!" Derek tried to stop his sister but she didn't listen. The two ran towards each other but Ennis dropped her to the ground by her neck.
He turned to the alpha and hybrid, "Ready for a rematch?"
But before Derek could run to her, a woman entered the room. Luna cringed at the sight of her sharp toes and nails. The couple looked towards each other before sending a nod, Luna took off towards Ennis as Derek took off towards Kali.
"You've been pissing me off lately." Luna growled but the man didn't say nothing instead he grunted as she threw him across the floor away from Cora. She sped towards him but he was to jump to his feet, he blocked her hits.
But her guard fell when Derek released a loud roar making her turn to him to see the pole sticking out of chest. Ennis took the opportunity to slamming her against the wall and shove his hand into her chest.
Luna gasped at the tug of his hand wrapping around her beating heart. The couple stared at each other in defeated, Luna glanced towards Ennis to see him smirking. "Hybrid isn't so powerful now, huh?"
She grunted looking into his eyes but all he did was grin, "Don't even try to compel me. Vervain is something truly amazing."
Cora attempted to help the hybrid but Ennis just slammed her next to Luna keeping his hand on her neck.
"Everybody done?" Catching everyone's attention towards the door, the tapping being heard from Deucalion's white cane. "'Cause just listening to that was exhausting."
He approached in front of Derek. Just with the slightest movement Luna grunted, a small tear fell down from the corner of her eye. "So . . . let's chat."
He dragged himself a chair infront of the Alpha, "Sorry about this, Derek. I asked Kali to be gentle, but . . ."
Kali smirked towards her leader, "This is me being gentle."
She twisted the pole making Luna's eyes narrow while coughing catching Deucalion's attention, "Ah . . . Well, if it isn't Luna McCall. Sorry for the brutal introduction but it seems that it's needed due to your, strength."
"LetβLet them go." Derek panted making Deucalion nod towards Ennis, the alpha removed his hand off of Cora's neck but kept his other in Luna's. Derek's eyes flickered towards his girlfriend but Deucalion shook his head, "Not her. She could destroy us, so excuse us for a little precaution."
Cora looked inbetween both Ennis and Kali but Luna softly shook her head not wanting the teen to get everyone killed. "See? We're not unreasonable."
"What do you want?" Derek grunted out. "You want to kill me?"
"You really think I'm that boring? Don't throw me in with your sociopaths like your uncle. I'm a man with far more vision simple murder. In fact . . ." He sighed pulling off his glasses, Luna turned her head just a tiny bit to focus on Deucalion, his eyes glowing red. "I'm here to show you just how much vision a blind man can have."
"You're killing them." Cora shouted towards the alphas as blood were pouring out of the couple's mouth. The sunken rings began form around Luna's eyes, her skin was becoming more pale.
Kali shot up sending the teen a smirk as she waved her pointer finger back and forth, "Not yet, little sister. But we could. Who knows it could be five minutes or five hoursβ"
"Or a tug of the heart." Ennis added with a smirk, tugging her heart just a tiny bit causing Luna to grunt. Kali smirked, "Before it's too late. But just to be on the safe side, Duke, you might want to get to the point."
"Now you see the one problem with being in an alpha pack. Everybody wants to make a decisions. Me?" He shrugged. "I'm more about discovering new talents . . . like you, both."
"Not interested." The couple spat out the best they could due to the conditions they were in.
"But you haven't even heard my pitch." Deucalion pointed out.
"You want me to . . . kill my own pack." Derek murmured making the alpha of the alpha pack shake his head. "No. I want you to kill one of them. Do that, and I won't have to ask you to kill the others. You'll do it on your own. I did it. Ennis did. Kali did."
He glanced towards the female alpha with a smirk, "Tell him what it's like, Kali, to kill one of your own."
She hummed at the thought smirking down at the injured alpha, ". . . Liberating."
"Listen to me, Derek and Luna. Do you really want to stay beholden to a couple of maladjusted teenagers bound to become a liability?" Deucalion asked making the hybrid's eyes narrow at the insult he threw to the kids. "And believe me, they will become a liability. In fact, I have a feeling one of them is getting himself into trouble right now."
Luna's heart began to beat faster at his words, the thought of one of her kids in trouble and in need of help. The beat caused Ennis to look down at her with a smirk but she ignored his look and focused on her boyfriend.
A large puddle of blood began to form around Derek while Luna's white shirt was becoming damper by the second from her blood.
"See, the reason I'm always invested in new talent is simple. We all know a pack is strongest due to its individual parts. The strongest individual parts, the greater the whole." Deucalion said, Cora glanced towards the hybrid only to see her eyes shutting but quickly fluttering open due to blood loss. She frowned feeling bad for the mother and her brother but with any movement from her can cause their deaths.
"When I lost my sight, one of my betas assumed I wasn't fit for my role anymore. He tried to take it from me." He began to pull apart his cane slowly while continuing, "Killing him taught me something about Alphas I didn't know they could do. His power was added to mine. I became stronger, faster, more powerful than I'd ever been."
"I tested this new ability to subsume the power of your own by killing another one. In fact, I killed them all. I took the individuals parts and became a greater individual whole." He flicked out his cane causing it to be put together once again.
Deucalion bent down to Derek's eye level, he roughly pulled his hair as he began to feel around his face feeling the structure. "You're right, Kali. He looks like his mother."
He rose from the ground sparing a glance towards the hybrid before making his way by the window, "You'll get to know me, Derek. Like she did."
"I know you." He grunted looking to his side the best he could. "I know what you are. You're a fanatic."
"Know me?" He questioned turning back around. "You've never seen anything like me. I am the Alpha of Alphas."
Thunder began to fill the skies as he began to shout making Luna mentally roll her eyes, "I am the apex of apex predators. I am death, destroyer of worlds! I am the demon-wolf!"
Cora cowered in fear while the other two alphas stared at their alpha with slight fear swirling in their eyes. And with that, Kali pulled the metal pole out of Derek's chest and Ennis pulled his hand from Luna's chest. The hybrid could feel like she could breath again as she inhaled the biggest breath she could.
She ignored the rest of Deucalion's words before trying the best she could to pick herself up when she saw Derek fall to his side. Cora threw an arm over her shoulder before leading the two towards the man. The two just laid there defeated until Luna could slowly feel herself healing but was still weak.

THE SOUND OF A SHOUT CAUSED LUNA TO RUSH down the stairs from her deep nap that she was in. After Ennis' had his hand around her heart for an entire thirty minutes, Cora had given her a blood bag that was in the fridge and she fell into a nap along with Derek. Rebekah and Cora were downstairs watching Hope.
Luna made it to the end of the stairs only to see Isaac staring at his alpha with a broken and pleading look. Her eyes shifted towards the packed bag in front of him making the hybrid look at the man.
"Go!" Derek shouted to the poor boy throwing his glass at him but missed by a few inches causing it land in the cement pillar. Isaac cowered in fear memories of his father's abuse popped into his head.
Luna instantly rushed over to the teenager planting herself right in front of him, she looked at her boyfriend in bewilderment. "What the hell is wrong with you?"
Derek frowned not expecting his girlfriend to be awaken from her nap already, "It's nothβ"
Her eyes narrowed towards the man turning to look Isaac, "Are you all right?"
He nodded before gripping onto his bag, he attempted to walk away but Luna stopped him from doing so. "Where do you think you're going?"
"It seems I'm not wanted here anymore." Isaac stated looking towards his alpha making Luna look towards him as well but he avoided eye contact.
"And for what, exactly?"
Derek sighed, "It's becoming too much in the loft. With Cora, andβ"
The lie was slipping through his teeth and Luna knew it. She knew his attitude would began changing eventually, "You seriously kicking him out? After everything he's been through with you? Us?"
She scoffed shaking her head as he remained quiet, she grabbed her keys from the coffee table making Derek look over. "Where are you going?"
"To take Isaac somewhere he would be safe instead of left on the street like some kind of animal." She snapped before walking out the loft with Isaac beside her.
Her gaze soften at the boy sending him a small smile, "Don't worry, Isaac. You'll be comfortable there."
Soon enough, the two arrived in front of the McCall residence. Luna smiled at her home before making her way in with Isaac, leading him upstairs towards her brother's room. Her mother wasn't home but she knew she wouldn't have minded. She knocked on the door before hearing a small come in.
The two entered the room only to see Scott looking at them with a confused look. Luna grinned at her brother before pointing to the beta, "Say hello to your new roommate."
Scott's face fell into a confused one before looking between both people.
