THE ALARM INSTALLED IN THE LOFT BEGAN to blare throughout the room, Luna and Derek quickly jumped up from their nap rushing to shut the alarm off. The two glanced towards the still sleeping baby making them sigh in relief. Cora awoken from her nap as well, her eyes fixated on the large window.

"What does that mean?" She nodded her head towards the direction making the couple turn their heads. A large symbol painted in black on the window made Luna sigh.

"It means they're coming. Tonight." Derek informed her. He glanced towards the brunette making her nod.

LUNA HAD INFORMED THE ORIGINAL ABOUT THE symbol on the window, she had packed a bag for Hope and told the blonde to get her daughter out of Beacon Hills and take her to New Orleans. No stopping for anything and don't let anyone stop them from making it to there, meaning kill anything that stops you from doing so. Luna wanted to keep Hope as far away as possible not wanting to risk the Alpha pack to catch ahold of her scent.

Luna sat on the couch with her nose deep into a book she had began to read. The front door peeled open making the brunette pick up her head to reveal Isaac and Boyd entering the loft, a smile tugged on her lips.

"Go back to school." Derek grumbled.

"Well, actually, we can't." Isaac replied. "Boyd and I are incredibly and unbelievably sick."

"With what, brain damage?" Derek shot back from the spiral stairs. Isaac shook his head, the two standing in the middle of the room. "Well, I have a migraine, and, uh, Boyd here had explosive diarrhea."

Luna raised a brow at the choices making Boyd shake his head in reply before glancing between the two, "We're here to protect you."

Derek ascended from the stairs just as Luna closed her book, "You're here to protect us? Well, we're in trouble."

Luna smiled at his words. "Actually, Boyd here came up with a plan."

The beta nodded before reaching towards his duffle back making Luna look at it in curiosity, "Yeah, I thought about the time Gerard had me and Erica locked up, tied up with electrical wires pushing currents through us."

He yanked out something from the bag revealing large red wires, "I was wondering how we could do something like that. But on a bigger scale."

A few minutes later, the floor in the entire loft was beginning to set with water and to think, Luna had already cleaned the place up just for it to be filled with water.

"It can take up to fifty milliamps to kill a normal human, less than the power it takes to turn on a light bulb." Body explained dropping the hose onto the cement floor.

Derek eyed the floor, "That's comforting."

"If we disable the circuit interrupter in the building's electrical room, the current will keep coming, and anyone who steps foot in her, they'll get a pretty shocking surprise." Boyd stated, a smirk making its way onto Luna's lips at the thought of a familiar alpha.

"Especially some who's barefoot."

Luna's phone began to vibrate on the coffee table making her walk towards it. She glanced towards her boyfriend to see him conversing more about the plan and wires. Looking down at the phone she noticed it was Scott that messaged her.

Baby Bro 🀎

meet me at the clinic.

Putting the phone away she turned to face the others, "I've got to go. Scott needs me to meet him at the clinic."

Derek raised a brow in confusion, "For what?"

She shrugged grabbing her coat that was on the couch before walking to kiss her boyfriend's cheek, "I don't know. Shouldn't be long, I'll try and come back quick."

He nodded leaving her to say bye to the other boys and with that she made her way out of the building. She paused pulling out her phone attempting call her brother but a sharp sting was felt in her neck.

"What the hell?" Luna murmured, her phone slipping out of her hands. Everything was becoming more and more blurry each second and felt herself going weak, she turned to see the person.

"No, no, no." She whispered at the sight of Kali's eyes meeting hers, her bright red eyes staring into hers. Flashing a canine smile while waving her long nails but before the hybrid could fall, Kali caught her.

"Since we couldn't exactly get your daughter in time. I guess you'll have to do." And with that, darkness fell onto Luna.

"SHE ISN'T ANSWERING?" BOYD ASKED HIS ALPHA who held his phone very tightly in his hands. Derek glanced towards the beta before shaking his head, he turned his attention back onto the phone and refreshed his messages only for none to be received by Luna. The Alpha had tried calling and messaging her several times but she wouldn't answer. He began to worry a lot more when he noticed Scott answered back his message from earlier, saying she never arrived to the clinic.

But his worry was cut off by Isaac speaking, pointing towards the alarm system. "Isn't the light on that supposed to be on?"

Derek looked up to see the red button on the box was no longer blinking, he sighed, "Yeah."

"What does it mean if it's not?" Isaac asked. Derek rose up from the ground, "Someone cut the auxiliary power."

"What about the mainβ€”" Boyd was cut off by the lights in the room going off. The two betas jumped up from their spots looking around the darkness, Derek as the first to move from his spot. He stared down at the water before taking a step in, no shock ran through his body making his theory correct, someone turned it off.

"Derek . . ." Isaac called for his alpha but he was ignored.

He stopped till he was in the middle of the room. "What do we do now?" Isaac questioned.

Derek slowly looked up, his crimson eyes meeting his front door. "We fight."

And just on cue, a bang was heard against the loft door and it was pulled open revealing Kali. Isaac and Boyd rushed their way behind their Alpha preparing themselves for any fight that was to come their way.

"Gonna be honest, Derek. When Ennis died, I thought to myself I'd just go for it. Find you and kill you, where you stood." Slowly Kali walked down the stairs keeping her eyes on Derek's, "Then I remembered how you surround yourself with these teenagers, hiding behind them, and I thought, what's a girl got to do to get you alone?"

She tilted her head towards the loft door making Derek as well, in came the twins carrying a weakened Luna. She stumbled against the concrete, grunting as one of them kept their hands on her chest to rip out her heart at any time. Her eyes met Derek's worried ones, his heart began to beat faster at the sight of her and the dried blood on her face.

The hybrid grunted attempting to push herself away but their hands tightened around her, Luna was still weak from vervain and wolfsbane in her system.

Kali smirked knowing she's got his attention now, "You and me Derek, or they will stick their hands in her chest and yank out her heart. What do you say? You think you can beat me one on one?"

The anger began to flow through Derek's body, he nodded his head to beta motioning them to back off leaving to do as he said. "I'm gonna rip your throat out with my teeth."

The two growled towards each other and it began, Derek jumped high in the air slicing down Kali's arm. She roared ignoring the searing pain she felt before moving out of the way as he attempted to get her again. Luna watched with worry flowing through her eyes watching the battle, all she kept thinking was she had to do something.

Since she was on her knees, she attempted to get back on one of her feet again but the twins forced her back down. "Stay down, hybrid."

Luna grunted when they pushed her head down to look at the ground. The anger began to fill inside of her, something inside of her wanted to tear something apart but she couldn't do that, it wasn't her. She didn't even kill when it came to her transition, she only had to get a drop of blood from her daughter's blood which made her very depressed for the longest.

Kali chuckled, her foot resting on Derek's chest keeping him from going anywhere. She looked between both parent's with a smirk. "A shame, really. The both of you defeated like the weak family you are. I should've went after little ol' baby Hope to make it a harder fight."

Silence filled the air, Isaac and Boyd's heart dropped at the Alpha's words, they glanced towards the mother only to see her shaking with anger. A chilling growl from her lips causing Kali's head to snap towards the hybrid.

The mother slowly picked up her head to see bright red eyes staring down at the woman, "You shouldn't have said that . . ."

"Impossible." Kali growled as Derek's eyes widened at his girlfriend, her eyes yet again flickered back to Amber making Derek question the sight.

Luna jumped up from the ground knocking over the twin, her feet planted onto the concrete, her narrowed eyes met Kali's. Derek took the advantage to knock down the alpha leaving Luna with the twins, she weaved one of their fist and flipped on his back.

The other one took off to wherever he went, leaving Luna to fight one of them, she gripped onto his leg as he attempted to kick her and tossed him against the wall. Ethan quickly jumped up punching her against the lip, she huffed gripping on his head and kneeing him against the nose.

Isaac took off to Luna after receiving a message from Stiles, he jumped up sucker punching Ethan against the lip causing him to fall. The electricity crackled against the water causing the two Alpha's and Boyd to fall in pain, Luna gasped as Derek and Boyd's body fell.

She attempted to run towards them but Ethan yanked her back slamming her head against the cement wall. Isaac went to go after him but stayed with Luna picking her up in his arms as she was slowly healing, her vision was blurring.

"Take him!" Kali shouted to the twins, motioning to Derek's body. They did as they were told lifting up the Alpha's hands forcing out his claws. Kali smirked holding onto Boyd's body, Derek tried to pull his hands away but it was too late, Boyd was dropped onto the Alpha's claws making the kid grunt.

"No!" Luna shouted at the scene in front of her. Kali smirked before walking away with the twins. "I'm giving you till the next full moon, Derek. Make the smart choice. Join the pack or next time I'm killing all of you."

She walked by the hybrid her hateful gaze on the alpha, "You're gonna pay for what you did."

But all the Alpha did was smirk and walked away with the other two following her. Luna shook her head trying to get the spot away from her sight, she slowly picked herself up with the help of Isaac. The beta helped the mother to the sadden sight.

"Get your hands out of him." Luna whispered making Derek's head snap to her, tears were gathered around his eyes. "What?"

She had tears of her own but kept her face serious, "I'm the only that can heal him so take your hands away."

Luna sent him a reassuring nod leaving him to do what he was told to do, with the help of Isaac's he pulled Derek away leaving Luna to pull the injured beta in his arms. Tear formed around his eyes as he began to choke, "I . . . I d-don't want t-to die."

His words made Luna hold back her tears trying to keep strong, "And you're not, sweetheart. I promise."

She ignored the footsteps that entered the room followed by a gasp. Letting her fang pierce the air, she bit her wrist, the blood began to slowly drip before holding it against his lips. He began to drink letting the metallic taste be welcomed into his mouth, once he pulled away, Luna glanced towards her boyfriend. The brunette slowly pulled up the beta's shirt to see the wounds were healed, she sighed in relief along with the others.

Boyd took a deep breath in looking up the woman, "Thank you."

Luna smiled softly before nodding, looking towards Derek he smiled at her in amazement. He wrapped his arm around her before the two looked down at the beta, who let his head fall in Luna's lap.

AFTER THE FIGHT WITH THE ALPHAS AND THE saving Boyd's life along with the vervain in the hybrid's system, Luna needed a well deserved nap along with the other. But she couldn't get that, not yet at least. She had just finished her FaceTime call with Rebekah and Hope, the two were enjoying their time in New Orleans.

Her daughter had spent time painting with Klaus, playing with the small trinket Elijah had given her, or even watched movies with Freya and Rebekah. Kol on the other hand attempted to make scary faces towards her but the small child would just laugh.

She smiled down at the photos Rebekah had sent her, the swinging of the door caused her to pick her head up to Deaton and Scott entering.

"Hey, look at this photo of Hope . . ." Luna picked herself off of the bed only to see the doctor and her brother with a worried face. "What's wrong?"

Scott shared a glance with Deaton before looking towards Derek who began to descend from the spiral stairs looking at the two with a confused look.

"Earlier, your brother was attempting to save me from being sacrificed. He tried to cross through a line of mountain ash that was keeping him from doing so but . . ." Deaton began to explain glancing towards the teen making Luna frown. "But?"

"His eyesβ€”His were red. Bright red."

Luna's eyes widened at his words glancing towards Derek, the Alpha took a step forward pointing to his girlfriend. "Luna's too, but they go away instantly. I thought I was seeing things."

The hybrid nodded, "But how is that possible? Scott and I aren't even Alphas."

"It's rare. It's something that doesn't happen within the hundred years, but every once in a while a beta can become an Alpha without having to steal or take that power." Deaton explained to the hybrid. "They call it a true alpha."

Luna glanced towards her boyfriend to see him in thought before looking back to Deaton. "It's one who rises purely on the strength of the character, by virtue, by sheer force of will."

"Luna, you and Scott are the strength. You protect everyone even if it means killing you in the process. Scott is a true alpha but Lunaβ€”Luna, you're a true hybrid." The doctor explained making the hybrid's heart drop, Derek's looked towards his girlfriend with a shock look. The love of his life is a true hybrid, something that never existed till now.

"Deucalion isn't after Derek," Scott explained looking towards his older sister.

"He's after us." Luna frowned looking at her boyfriend then to the two in front of her.
