TO SAY THE LEAST LUNA AND DEREK LEFT BEACON HILLS for a week at most, they had taken Boyd away to a more safer place which was in Mystic Falls. She had introduced him to Caroline and Alaric who took him into the Salvatore school so he could become a coach for their flag football team since the wolf had experience.

While the hybrid was there she had caught up with the two and played with Josie and Lizzie; introduced them all to Derek. Luna had met the entire gang with the Mikaelson's once which she admit were quite nice with her. The girls even began to talk about enrolling her daughter to the school when she becomes older which she knew Hope would love.

The couple only stayed in Mystic Falls for that entire day before making their way up to New Orleans to see their daughter. She enjoyed spending time with Hope especially with the others, they seemed to enjoy Derek's company, the ones who had yet to meet him, especially Kol and Klaus. Even though Derek had met Klaus, they bonded more on this trip. The three got along with each other the most and had the most in common.

The hybrid was going to inform them about her new founding discovery but decided against it, just wanting to enjoy the time together. But their time had eventually come to an end having to return back to Beacon Hills but Luna promised they would be back. Instead of Rebekah coming back with Hope on her own, Luna and Derek would go get them so they could all see each other again.

The couple hadn't been in Beacon Hills for more than an hour until they received a call from Stiles about Cora's current state. The two had immediately rushed into the hospital and had been there ever since, Derek was completely worried along with Luna. The poor girl was in a condition the two didn't understand, she should've healed already.

Luna sat in a seat on the opposite side of Derek, she kept glancing at Cora's screens making sure the girl would be okay.

"Derek? Luna?"

The hybrid immediately picked her head at the sound of Cora's whisper, Derek following behind her. "Hey, I'm here."

"What's happening to me?" The girl whimpered making Luna's heart break. Derek glanced towards his girlfriend before looking back his younger sister.

"I don't know. But we're not leaving, not again. Okay?" Derek assured her before placing a kiss on her warm forehead.

And with that Cora fell into a sleep once again.

Luna frowned moving the girl's hair slightly from her neck when she noticed it was sticking to the skin due to the sweating.

Derek shook his head, "What the hell is going on?"

"I wish I kn—"

An ear piercing scream filled the air making Luna wince as she slammed the heel of her hands against her ear. Derek's eyes widened as his girlfriend dropping to her knees, he could still hear the scream but it wasn't as bad as Luna was. Her hearing senses were ten times more heightened.

Once the scream was over Luna sighed in relief feeling no more of the stinging pain in her ears. Derek helped his girlfriend up. "What in the world was that?"

The buzzing of Derek's phone caught the two's attention, he walked over to see a message from Scott. "It's Scott. He needs me at the loft."

Luna nodded, "Go. I'll stay with Cora and make sure she's transported."

The alpha nodded, he walked over placing a kiss on Luna's lips before rushing out the door. The hybrid released a breath before grabbing onto a rag to wipe down the sweat Cora had. "You'll be better in no time, Cora."

Luna's head snapped up at the sound of rushing feet approaching the room, she sped on the other side of Cora's bed to stop any intruder she didn't recognize but relaxed when she noticed it was just Peter.

"Great."

Peter rolled his eyes at the hybrid's attitude, "Don't sound too excited for me."

"The only time you'll see me excited for your presence is when your ten feet in the ground."

She smiled sarcastically before making her way out of the room to see if she could possibly spot any help. Luckily, her mother was approaching the room.

"Mom!"

Melissa rushed towards her daughter, the two entering the room. "Sorry, she wa—"

The mother paused when she noticed the man standing in front of her, Peter tried to push himself further into the darkness making Luna roll her eyes. "As if she didn't see you already."

"You're supposed to be dead." Melissa breathed out making Peter sigh and approach his niece's side. Luna's head snapped over to the sound of the monitor beeping rapidly and the sight of her sister-in-law lurching up from the bed.

Cora reached over to the side puking out black blood along with white particles. Luna frowned when she noticed the small white things, "Mistletoe?"

"We need to get her out of here, now." Luna stated, Peter and Melissa managed to help her up while the hybrid sped over to grab her bag. She pulled out the outfits she had worn when she was admitted.

The two McCall women were able to dress her while Peter waited outside of the room. Luna carefully laid her back into the bed just as her phone began to ring.

"How's Cora?"

Luna glanced towards the pale wolf before shaking her head. "It's not good, Der. She's in and out of consciousness. She vomiting black blood along with—"

"Mistletoe." Derek finished making Luna furrow her eyesbrows in confusion, "How did you know that?"

The sound of someone choking made her heart jump, "Derek, who is that?"

"I'll explain later. I'm on my way to the hospital." And with that, the call ended. The hybrid shook her head before rushing to help with Cora.

      DEREK KEPT A FROWN ON HIS FACE ALONG WITH a firm grip around Jennifer's upper arm to keep her from going anywhere. The two rushed down the hall of the hospital Cora was being held in, but once they reached her room no one was there. His eyes shifted towards the black blood that laid on the floor and that's when his heart began to beat faster. No Cora or Luna.

"Derek." Scott's voice broke him out of his trance, he looked over to him to see the teen pointing towards the ground.

Dots of black blood trailed behind a closed door where muffled grunts were heard then suddenly Peter slid across the tiled floor. The man released a groan before realizing his nephew stood behind him.

"We got a problem." His eyes shifted towards down the hall to see Luna's body being slammed into a wall by the twin alphas and Cora laid behind them. "A big problem."

Derek's face immediately shifted to his wolf features releasing a growl catching the twin's attention, they released their hold on the hybrid causing her body to drop. The alpha ran towards the giant twin before the two began to fight.

Scott quickly joined his side leaving Stiles and Peter to retrieve both Luna and Cora. Stiles went to grab Luna but his touch made her jump, "You're okay, you're okay."

Luna sighed in relief at the sound of Stile's voice making her nod, "Okay, I'm good."

He helped her up to her feet before leading her towards Cora and Peter. The four of them rushed into a vacant OR room along with Derek and Scott following them, "Don't stop, don't stop!"

The sound of Derek yelling Stiles' name made her pause, she halted her steps to see Stiles standing out of the twin's sight before swinging the wooden bat. The bat breaking into pieces but not effecting the twins.

Stiles made a face before running off towards Luna's side, the hybrid immediately released a growl at the twins. Scott gave the alpha a look which made Derek nod, the teen leaped into the air with the help of Derek and slammed the light fixture into the twin's face causing them to go unconscious.

Luna and the other three rushed into an empty room where Peter laid Cora onto the hospital bed, she focused her hearing on her heart making sure there was no surprises. She sighed in relief when there was a steady heart beat.

"Where's the big guys?" Peter asked.

Derek peeked out the window, "He's close."

"What about Ms. Blake?" Stiles questioned making Luna look toward Derek, the man just stayed silent where Scott shook his head.

"Who's that?"

Scott looked towards his older sister realizing she didn't know who she was, "She's the teacher you saved on the night of the full moon."

"Wait—What do you mean? What does that mean? Like, she's gone?" Stiles questioned once more looking towards his bestfriend still wondering about the teacher's whereabouts. "Scott, are you kidding me?"

Derek hushed the teen before quietly shouting, "Quiet!"

"Me, be quiet? Huh? Are you telling me what to do now?" Stiles snapped approaching the alpha making Luna take a step forward not wanting the teen to get hurt. "When that psychotic, mass murdering lady has got my dad somewhere, tied up, waiting to be ritually sacrificed?"

"Stiles, they're still out there." Scott stated.

"And—And they want her, right? Which means now we don't have her either, so my dad and Cora are both dead!" Stiles shouted.

Luna frowned at her friend's worriedness, "Not yet, Stiles. You know, I wouldn't let anything happen to him. I promise."

Stiles nodded knowing Luna would never let that happen to her dad so it put him at ease a little bit—just a little bit.

"Is she really dying?" Scott questioned Peter over Cora's health condition.

"She's definitely not getting any better."

"There has to be something we can do. We have to help her." Scott stated shaking his head, he glanced towards his sister who was wiping the sweat from Cora's forehead. "Can't you give her your blood?"

Luna shook her head, "She's puking everything out. My blood wouldn't make it through. We have to find another way."

Before they could pour out any ideas, the double door swung open revealing the school teacher she had saved from the full moon night. "You can't. Only I can."

"I'm calling your bluff." Luna spat rolling her eyes.

Jennifer's eyes narrowed, "I can save her, and I can tell you where Sheriff Stilinski is. But there is a pack of Alphas in this hospital who want me dead. So I'll help you . . . but only when I'm out of here and safe. Only then."

Derek threw across the tray attempting to attack Jennifer but Scott held him back, "Derek, wait!"

"She was trying to get out!" Derek sneered pointing towards the woman.

"I was trying to keep from getting killed you can't blame me for that."Jennifer shot back.

Stiles took a step forward pointing to the sick girl on the table, "If you want to show you're one of the good guys, then heal her."

She shook her head, "Not until I'm safe."

"I'd like to volunteer a different method of persuasion. Let's torture her." Peter suggested making Derek growl in agreement, "Works for me."

Suddenly the PA system squeaked catching everyone's attention. Luna's heart dropped at the sound of her mother's voice, "Um, can I have your attention? Mr. Deucalion—Excuse me, just Deucalion—request you bring the woman calling herself Jennifer Blake to the ER reception. Do this, and everyone else can leave. You have ten minutes."

A deathly silence filled the room where everyone's eyes flickered to Scott and Luna. Jennifer could feel her heart beat quicken at the sound of their mother's voice.

Everyone watched Luna with careful eyes; they could all see she was filled with rage that when Peter went to stop her from getting to Jennifer she threw him across the room. Her hands wrapped around the girl's neck causing her to choke.

"Luna!" Scott shouted for his sister.

"I should kill you right now." Luna growled, Jennifer could see the tears building up in her eyes.

"H-He's not gonna hurt her." Jennifer croaked out making Derek snap.

"Shut up."

"He won't." She shot back. Her eyes glanced towards Scott then to Luna. "You both know why. Tell them it's true."

Luna's eyes narrowed before looking down. Peter's eyes flicked between the two of them, "What does she mean?"

Jennifer huffed seeing that none of them were going to say anything, "Derek is not the only one he wants in his pack."

Derek sighed knowing the secret between the three of them is going to be revealed. Luna grunted slamming her hand next to Jennifer's head causing her to flinch ignoring the hole next to her head. She rubbed her hand on her neck ignoring the sharp pain.

"Deucalion doesn't just want an alpha back. He wants perfection. That means adding the rarest of Alphas to his ranks." Jennifer explained.

Derek eyes shifted to Luna's only to see her inhale a deep breath, she was over this Alpha bullshit, and wanted to kill everyone just to get her mother back. She was doing everything she can to hold back.

"A true alpha." Peter muttered to himself.

"Not just a true alpha." Jennifer pointed out.

Luna looked up finally meeting Derek's eyes. "A true hybrid."

Stiles frowned at the situation, "What's that?"

"The kind that doesn't have to steal their power from another. One that can rise by the force of their own will." Peter stared at the two in amazement. "Our little Scott and Luna."

"It doesn't matter." Scott shook his head looking towards the others.

Luna nodded in agreement, "I don't give a damn about the true alpha bullshit. All I care about is getting Cora out of here."

"Luna, your mom—"

"My mom said there's one more ambulance coming in twenty minutes and I don't think we've been here that long, so if we can get down to the garage, get to the last ambulance, we can get out of here." Scott interrupted his best friend.

"The twins aren't gonna let us just walk out." Peter scoffed.

"I'll distract them." Scott stated making Derek change his word. "You mean fight them."

"Whatever I have to do." Scott stated before looking over to Luna. She nodded, "I'll help you."

"Me too." Derek added. Jennifer frowned looking in between the group, "Uh, sorry, but I'm not going anywhere with you, Derek."

Luna furrowed her brows looking at the woman in annoyance. "What did she just—did she just?"

Peter huffed rolling his eyes, "I'll do it." Everyone looked at the former alpha, "But if prefer to be out there with an advantage if mother hybrid here gets it all."

The brunette rolled her eyes as Stiles began to speak. "An advantage like what? You mean like a weapon?"

"Something better than a baseball bat."

Everyone began to rummage through the drawers looking for anything to help the wolf. Luna began to toss out gauze ignoring what Stiles pulled out, her hands grabbed onto a large syringe filled with liquid inside.

"Epinephrine." Luna muttered look down at the syringe. Derek looked back shaking his head, "That's only gonna make him stronger."

Luna looked at her boyfriend with a frown seeing that he was missing the point. Peter paused looked back, "How strong?"

"We're about the find out." Luna stated sauntering towards the wolf behind stabbing the syringe in his chest. The sound of his heartbeat began to quicken, his eyes began to dilate meaning it was working.

Pushing him out the door with Scott following her, the three paused when seeing the twins at the end of the hall. A growl was heard from their side making Luna look over to Scott and Peter to see their eyes changing to their color.

"All right, boys. Let's rumble." Peter stated. The twins released a roar with Peter following after them.

Luna let the two boys go before she went after them, sliding down on the ground she scratched their ankles causing them to buckle. Scott pushed them against just as Derek, Jennifer, and Stiles rounded the corner to escape.

Scott helped his sister off the ground and the two took off down the hall with Peter after them.

      "THAT SHOT DIDN'T LAST VERY LONG." PETER MUTTERED to himself his back hitting against the wall. Scott and Luna helped the former Alpha onto his feet running down the hall and into a laundry room. The hybrid slammed the door shut peeking out the tiniest bit so she doesn't get caught.

"Those twins are really starting to piss me off." Peter growled looking over to the siblings.

"How the hell are we supposed to get past them?" Scott questioned the two. Peter shrugged, "Personally, I think if we keep letting them beat the living crap out of us, they'll tire and give up."

Luna glared at the wolf, "You're no help."

Scott tapped his sister's arm making her look over to him, he nodded his head to the laundry chute. Luna shrugged before the three made their way over.

Luna was the first to slide down the chute following Peter and Scott. Luckily, the brunette was quick to hop out and didn't get smushed by either boys.

She watched in amusement as Peter pushed Scott off of him. "You couldn't have waited, like, ten seconds?"

Scott said nothing instead pulled out his phone making Peter frown, "They didn't get out, did they?"

Luna huffed before the three began to take off once again down the hospital halls and towards the ambulance van where Stiles and Cora stayed.

The hybrid slammed her hand against the ambulance window causing Stiles to jump in fright, "Open the door!"

"Sorry." He muttered swinging up the door. Luna help Scott by pushing in the tired Peter on the other side of Stiles. Her eyes shifted towards the passed out Cora making her sigh.

"Where's Derek and Jennifer?" Stiles questioned.

Scott looked towards his sister, "We have to go back for them and our mom."

Stiles nodded, "Okay, two problems. Kali's got the key to this thing, and I just saw the twins, like, thirty seconds ago."

A bang made Luna abruptly turn her head around trying to see where the noise came from, she looked back at her friend. "Stay here."
