Y/n bent down to avoid one of the various flying pillows that were now soaring everywhere around the room.

"AND THAT IS WHY I WASN'T IN THE COMMON ROOM YESTERDAY NIGHT" she screamed as to make sure that Jisung (who standing next to her) could hear her words. "I'M SORRY I LEFT YOU ALONE", she went on to say โ€“ after all, she couldn't have known that the friend had not spent the previous night within the Gryffindor dorms, boring himself out of his mind.

Jisung sent a quick spell towards a pillow that was coming his way: that friday, they were practicing Repulsion Spells, which were basically the opposite of Summoning Charms. Flitwick, the Charms teacher, had explained that he preferred to use pillows as objects to try the Spells on instead of books or bags, because "It makes life a lot easier โ€“ for me, for you, and most importantly, for poor Madame Pomfrey".

Y/n was happy that Charms was their first class that day: it was the best lesson for to chat with your friends without fearing to be overheard by either the teacher or the classmates (or, why not, both), as the noise spells made when casted easily overwhelmed that of voices talking โ€“ and that day she'd been especially lucky, since everyone was having so much fun that no one would've cared about the conversation she was having with her friend.

The girl sent an observing look around the class, and finally managed to find Seungmin among that chaos: Gryffindors and Slytherins always had Charms together, and the boy was standing just a few metres from her.

When he noticed that she was looking at him he waved happily towards her direction and smiled, so Y/n made sure to smile back โ€“ after what had happened the night before, she felt a lot closer to the boy, and she would've also guessed that he felt more at ease around her, which she appreciated. He was actually very smart and funny, and could be a great friend when he wanted to.

"SO" replied Jisung, trying to add up all of the information that he'd been invested with, making the friend snap back to reality, "YOU FOUND A PREFECT WHO HAD FAINTED AND BROUGHT THEM TO THE NURSERY, AND STAYED THERE UNTIL THEY WOKE UP?"

"PRECISELY", she answered, casting a spell on one of the nearby pillows: it moved swiftly from its position and flew away, landing on some Slytherin's face.

Y/n had kept the promise made to Woojin not to tell anybody about Chan's "little problem" (so they had decided to call it), so to explain the School why the Head Boy wouldn't be able to take part to the Quidditch game they had had to come up with a different story, that the girl was now trying to explain:

"AND THERE IS WHERE WE FOUND CHAN", she in fact went on, the lie coming easy on her lips, "WHO IS VERY VERY ILL. MADAME POMFREY SAID IT MOST LIKELY IS A VIRUS".

Jisung stopped paying attention at the flying pillows and walked to be nearer to the friend so that he wouldn't have to continue screaming: "So is it true that he won't be able to play on Sunday?" he inquired, looking rather worried.

"Sadly, yes".

The boy frowned: "but who will take up his place then? That's so unfortunate, I can't believe our luck!"

Y/n rolled her eyes. "Well, thanks for the support Sungie. I was hoping for better words of encouragement".

"Whaโ€“ wait" Jisung (Y/n could tell) had been taken completely aback. "You โ€“ the new Keeper?"

"Shhhhh", she said, because although she was pretty sure no one would hear her, it was always better to be careful. "But yes, indeed. But don't tell anyone! Chan has to talk with the team first, and then if they agree they'll fetch me during lunch".

"Are you prepared?" asked the Gryffindor. "Do you think you can keep up?"

"I truly hope so" replied the other. "Chan told me they have trainings today, and if I can I'll try and train a little bit tomorrow as well".

Jisung suddenly pulled her into a hug. "You'll be great, trust me. I believe in you".

Y/n couldn't help but get really surprised at the sudden act of the friend: she awkwardly hugged him back, but her mind was somewhere else โ€“ she'd never told anybody (Jisung in first place) but she actually used to have a pretty big crush on the Gryffindor.

When she'd first met him during first year, and they'd grown somewhat close, she just felt very attracted to the boy, but was too young and shy to even attempt to make a move: the fear of what his answer might've had blocked her right away.

Eventually, that had turned out as a great decision, because she'd ended up finding her feeling too brotherly to get herself emotionally involved in that sort of way โ€“ and she would still thank God for that from time to time, for just awhile after that realization the friend had decided to come out as having a helpless crush on Minho, which would've damaged their relationship entirely had she still felt some kind of non-brotherly love for the boy.

"Thanks Sungie", she managed to say, squeezed between the friend's arms.

When he let go โ€“ a couple of moments after โ€“ her hands authomatically flew to her head to rearrange her hair, and her eyes met with Seungmin's: the Slytherin pretended to throw up dramatically, and Y/n answered by sticking her tongue out and looking resentfully at the friend. At the end of that silent conversation, they just broke out into light chuckles.

"Have you told him about yesterday?" whispered Seungmin after he'd quickly walked to be near the Gryffindor.

"Most of it, yes", she replied, "but not all, of course".

"I was also wondering โ€“ are you going to play on Sunday after all?"

"I don't even know yet" the more she talked about it, the more anxious she was getting. "On one hand, I wanna play, also 'cause I know it'd help Gryffindor, but on the other I'm just so scared..."

"You'll be fine, don't worry. I'd tell Minho to go easy on you, but he's Seeker, so that wouldn't be of much help. It's the others you need to be scared of... Truthfully, I don't know who plays what though... I'm not a big Quidditch fan..."

"Don't worry, I'll get through it", she replied, and for once she actually meant it: whether they won and she would be celebrated, or they lost and she'd have to learn and cope with the general disappointment... the match was going to end at some point, so she was trying to focus on that more than anything else.

"I could try and get Minho to talk to his team members though..." reflected Seungmin. "I mean โ€“ I'm not really sure if they'd agree, of course, but it's still worth trying-"

"They will never", cut in Jisung, who'd just stayed a bit on the side, occasionally practicing the Repulsion Spell, but not missing a single word.

"And by the name of Merlin's old socks, how are you supposed to know that?" asked Seungmin, taken aback by the sudden words of the Gryffindor (who, as a Gryffindor, acted as if he knew Slytherins better than a Slytherin knew Slytherins).

"C'mon Seungmin, your house team going easy on me is most unlikely, and you know thay full well", replied Y/n before Jisung could come up with an answer himself.

Why is he so sure about it though? she thought nevertheless, looking sideways at the friend. Is it possible he knows something I don't? reflecting, she considered how the boy, truth be told, hadn't reacted โ€“ or rather, had reacted but in a very strange (almost guilty) way โ€“ to her apologies about not having been able to spend the evening with him as they'd normally do. She sent a quick and suspicious look in his direction: So is it that? Where was Sungie last night?

Hello everyone๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป
I hope you're having a great day, though maybe a little boring? Ik quarantine can be quite hard (I've been in this situation for a whole ass month now), but once you find a great routine it can be fun & interesting.

Me, for example, I've started to work out both before classes (first thing in the moring) and after meals; I've been binge-reading like never before, getting all my homework done, doing some baking... I just can't say I've been too bored.

And you? What have you been doing?
Let me know! :D

See you on monday โ€“ it will be Hyunjin!
