The evening air was cool, with a soft breeze that rustled through the wild grasses of the poppy flower field. The sun had just set, painting the sky in hues of pink, purple, and gold, casting a gentle glow over the sea of red poppies that seemed to stretch endlessly. Y/N stood at the edge of the field, her hand lightly brushing the tops of the flowers as she waited for Mattheo, the sound of his footsteps approaching through the grass.

Mattheo's figure appeared through the haze of twilight, tall and handsome in his dark jeans and a casual jacket. He smiled softly as he reached her, his green eyes sparkling with mischief and warmth.

"You look beautiful," he said, his voice low and sincere, as he took in the sight of her. Her black hair was loose and wild, the wind teasing it gently, and her eyes glowed in the fading light.

"Thank you," she replied, a playful smirk on her lips. "I think you look pretty good yourself, Riddle."

Mattheo chuckled, a deep sound that made Y/N's heart skip. Without a word, he held out his hand, and she took it, allowing him to lead her further into the field. The sound of poppies swaying in the breeze mixed with the chirping of distant crickets as they walked, their hands intertwined. The entire field seemed to come alive under the twilight sky, the colors more vivid against the darkening backdrop.

They found a soft patch of grass beneath an ancient oak tree that stood alone in the middle of the field, its wide branches providing shelter from the growing chill of the evening. Mattheo sat down first, patting the spot next to him for Y/N to join him. She lowered herself to the ground beside him, leaning her back against the trunk, feeling the soft grass beneath her and the weight of the moment settle in.

"Stargazing," Mattheo said with a quiet smile, his hand reaching out to gently touch her hair. "Always wanted to do this."

Y/N raised an eyebrow, glancing at him with a playful grin. "Yeah? I thought you'd be more into something... a little more dramatic. You know, like, dark caves or a crypt."

Mattheo laughed, his fingers now gently weaving through the strands of her hair. "I'm allowed to have a soft side too, you know." His voice softened. "I like this. It's peaceful."

Y/N smiled, her heart fluttering in her chest. She leaned into him, resting her head on his shoulder as they both stared up at the vast expanse of the sky. The stars were beginning to twinkle into view, slowly filling the sky with a million tiny dots of light. They laid in comfortable silence for a moment, letting the world fall away around them.

Then, Mattheo shifted beside her, his fingers moving as he began to pick a few of the poppy flowers around them. Y/N watched him curiously, wondering what he was up to.

"Hold still for a second," he murmured, his eyes focused on the delicate flowers. He began weaving the poppies together, his hands skilled as he crafted a flower crown.

Y/N raised an eyebrow, amusement dancing in her eyes. "Are you making me a crown?"

Mattheo looked up from his work, his expression a mix of determination and affection. "Of course. You deserve a crown, Y/N."

She couldn't help but smile, a warm feeling spreading in her chest. "You're going to put that on my head?"

He nodded, finishing the final touches. The flower crown was simple but beautiful, with a mix of soft red poppies and tiny white flowers interwoven, creating a delicate, ethereal look.

"You're something else, you know that?" Y/N said, her voice soft as she leaned forward.

Mattheo's lips twitched into a half-smile, a mischievous gleam in his eye as he gently placed the crown on her head. "It's just a little something to match the stars above you," he said, his voice almost a whisper.

Y/N reached up, lightly touching the crown of flowers, feeling the softness of the petals. She looked up at him, her heart full. "Thank you, Mattheo," she murmured, her eyes locking onto his.

"Anytime," he whispered back, his hand brushing against her cheek as he leaned in to kiss her gently on the forehead. "I think you're the most beautiful thing in this field."

And as the stars continued to twinkle overhead, they stayed there, wrapped in each other's presence, their hearts beating in perfect rhythm beneath the night sky.
