"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Melissa asks as she, Tommy and Cindy break into Nurse Lanes office.

"It'll be fine! It's not like she's coming back and they haven't appointed a new Nurse."

"So, what exactly are we looking for?" Tommy questions.

"Answers," Cindy returns as Melissa looks at Tommy in concern of their current illicit activities. 

"Come on, Cindy. It doesn't matter, alright?" Tommy tells her as Cindy emphasises that it does, in fact, matter.

"Cindy, I really don't think this is a good idea. We should be supervising Colour War." But Mel's words fall upon deaf ears.

"There's a reason Mary did what she did and said what she said. We're going to figure it out now" Cindy refused to let it go as Tommy and Melissa argued that it was a dumb idea and really didn't matter. Tommy sighed as Cindy walked into the nurses' office, Melissa trailing after her. The girls continued searching the office, opening the drawers Cindy chuckles and picks up a medication bottle.

"No label, half-empty. Like I said, she was on drugs! Just have to get these to the cops, then they'll tell us what they-" She trails off as Tommy picks up a book from beside Melissa, "What is that?"

"'A deal was made with the devil'" Tommy starts off as Melissa continues, "'Sarah Fier cut off her wicked hand on Satan's stone, in exchange for eternal life, scarring the soil beneath with the witches mark bringing darkness upon the land.' Do you guys seriously believe in this witch bullshit? It's probably just a scary campfire story" Melissa laughs out while looking at the drawing of the witches' mark. The three turn their heads around as they hear glass break. "Did you hear that?"

Tommy moves towards the noise calling out as Mel follows at his heels, "Hello? Is somebody in there?" Tommy jumps as Alice scares him, Melissa letting a little scream in fear. Alice laughed at their reactions. "Come on. That's not funny."

"Alice? What are you doing here?" Alice scoffs at Cindy's remark.

"Looks like we're here for the same thing." She says looking at the medicine bottle Cindy was still carrying, "Must really want me to scrub those toilets." Cindy asserts that she wasn't getting the drugs for Alice and Arnie.

"Woah, Berman! I didn't know you were into that kinda thing." Arnie says with a chuckle.

"They're not for her. She's giving them to the police!" Melissa speaks up but Alice doesn't believe them before snapping at Cindy in anger.

"No, what are you talking about? What? Now you're going to snitch on Mary too?" Cindy stutters trying to justify herself as Arnie steals Mary's diary and tosses it to Alice. 

"'She emerged by the meeting house, one hand severed, lost forever. We hanged the witch, body chained and buried but without her hand, her grip on the land holds firm' Ohhh!" She grins, speaking in a spooky voice. "This is Sarah Fier shit." She moves the book further from Cindy's grasp, "When she is near, blood will fall and the curse will last until body and hand unite".

"Alice! That's Mary's diary, you need to put it back and this Sarah Fier stuff is just bullshit to give people an interesting campfire story" Mel tries to persuade her, truthfully Melissa doesn't know if it's true or not. Having moved to Sunnyvale, everyone had mixed beliefs but many labelled it as a running joke to deal with all the massacres. 

"It's not just a diary." She turns it around, "It's a map. Crazy Nurse Lane made a crazy map," she said while studying it, moving over to the bed. "It's camp but looks like she drew all over it. 1666 Union."

"Union! That's Shadyside."

"What?"

"I mean, the settlement before it was divided into Shadyside and Sunnyvale."

"Really?"

"If you went to class..." Cindy snarked,

"So, the camp is built in the same place as the settlement? Woah! look, look, look! Sarah Fier!"

"Do you think that's her house?"

"What are all the X's?" Melissa asks peering over Cindy's shoulder at the drawing.

"There's only one way to find out," Alice smirks, grabbing Cindy's bag along with the book.

"Hey, that's my bag!" she says as Alice instructs Arnie to grab a flashlight. Arnie grabbed it as Alice observed the pills that Cindy found while walking out of the Nurses office.

"What is this shit?" Alice asked.

"Let me see! L484. Sounds familiar. Ooh, Dex, Maybe." They continued to talk about the drugs as they took them together. Cindy emerged shouting for them to bring the prescriptions back. 

"It's called fun, Cindy Berman. You used to have it, remember? We're gonna find you, Sarah Fier!" Alice called out as she and Arnie ran off into the dark woods, Melissa chasing after them with Cindy beginning to follow. 

She stopped as she realised Tommy wasn't following them. He was standing on the porch of the nurses' office looking lost, staring off into the distance. 

"Tommy!" Cindy called, "Tommy!" She called a second time, finally snapping him out of his daze.

"Come on! They took everything and Mel's chasing them alone!"

"Alice!" Cindy screams, "Alice! Come on, it's disgusting in here" she added. Cindy and Tommy finally caught up with Melissa and the three of them were sticking close to each other to feel protected in the woods. Alice refused to listen and continued on her way with Arnie, the pair of them deciding to take more of the drugs as they couldn't feel the effects of them. 

"Alice! I swear to god-" Cindy shouted but was cut off as her polo shirt was snagged on a branch, "Shit! It's ruined now!" She whined as Melissa inspects the tear and offers to try and fix it the next day. 

"You cursed again," Tommy stated as Cindy gave him an annoyed look.

 "You want me to murder you?" She asked before realising the look on his face, "Babe, you okay?" to which Tommy responds that he's fine. Everyone looks to where they heard Alice scream and all made their way in that direction shouting out Alices' name.

When they caught up Cindy and Melissa pointed their flashlights in Alices' direction to see her climbing out of a hole in the ground. Brushing off her hands and knees she warns everyone to watch their step.

"Is someone digging a grave?" Tommy asks looking around before Alice corrects him using the plural word for 'grave'. "Hey, where's the, uh... The X's, look. Look." He says pointing to Mary's diary. "Look, here, here. She was marking where she dug"

"'But without her hand, her grip on the land holds firm and the curse will last until body and hand unite.'"  

"Maybe Mary was looking for the hand? To end the curse? Didn't she claim that her daughter lost her mind because of it and that it wasn't a psychotic break" Mel suggests as Tommy and Alice agree with her but Cindy was sceptical. Arnie vocalised that he needed the toilet and he walked off muttering 'L484' out loud.  

Cindy took the book back before Alice could get it and proposed that if Alice gave her the drugs, she could have the book. She explained that if Nurse Lane took them and it made her crazy, then the drugs could be very dangerous. 

"Oh my god! What happened to you? You remember when you used to have fun? Before you became a snitch?" Alice teased, Cindy becoming more annoyed with her and the situation, "Oh, that's easy for you to say, you lying fucking Brutus." The girls were inching closer to each other in the heated moment, pulling away when they heard Arnie shout that he found it.

They all ran towards the little house as Alice and Arnie messed around, Melissa tripping slightly before Tommy and Cindy caught her and helped steady her. She let out a little giggle before thanking them. She pulled her blonde hair into a low ponytail as it kept getting in the way, and if a witch was going to kill her she'd prefer to see her coming.

"Am I the only one who was expecting, like, I don't know, a house made out of sweets?" Mel snorts, Alice hits her arm lightly chuckling and admitting that she thought that too before making an offhanded comment about her use of the word 'sweets' instead of 'candy' and her British accent. Alice gasps when Arnie nudges her towards the stairs.

"Hey Sarah, you got any candy down there?" She laughs pointing her flashlight down the hole. "We're high and hungry!" She continued, "Sarah Fier!" Alice screamed startling Mel and Cindy slightly. Cindy told her that they've seen enough, "Alright then, go home, Berman. I didn't march all the way out here for nothing, okay?"

Alice begins advancing down the hole after flipping Cindy off. Alice then shouts up to everyone.

"Hey, someone's been down here. Like recently." The rest of the group begin making their way down. Once they enter the room they begin exploring the small area, they notice a lot of stuff relating to witchcraft. Alice tries to frighten Melissa and Cindy, telling them that Sarah Fier had been there. Alice makes her way over to the little hollow in the wall, shouting into it.

"Hey, Sarah Fier, if you're in here, say something!" She turned to the group smirking, "maybe she's shy?" She smiles before going deeper into the cave with Arnie. Melissa sighs before following them with Cindy, Tommy staying where he was in the room in a little daze that no one noticed. 

"Woah!" Alice said looking at the circle thing in the middle of the room, "It's like some kind of, like, occult thing... Like devil worship. It's kinky" Alice says as Arnie pulled her into him. 

"It's the witches mark"

"What?"

"Cindy's right, it's the witches mark," Mel says taking the book out of Cindys' hands, flipping a few pages to find the one she's looking for "'A deal was made with the devil. "That's it!" Arnie exclaimed suddenly, "It's acetaminophen." Everyone looked at him confused. "L484. It just hit me. It's fucking Tylenol. It's nothing." He explained, Cindy, rushing to look at the pill bottle. Arnie made a comment about leaving to get weed from Joan and left to return to where Tommy was waiting unaware of the danger looming closer.

Looking around the room, writing on the wall caught Mel's attention as she swore out loud and pulled Alice in her direction, pointing out the horror that she discovered.

"Holy shit!" She exclaimed again before going to get Cindy, "We need to show you something!" Alice points to each name with her flashlight as Melissa reads names off. "Cyrus Miller. Billy Barker. Ruby Lane." Cindy makes a comment about that being Mary's daughter. "Yeah. Issac Milton, Harry Rooker."

"You don't have to go to fucking class to know those names." Alice stresses.

"The Shadyside killers."

"Yeah. Except one." Alice points her flashlight to the newest name.

"Tommy? Alice, Melissa, this isn't funny!"

"It wasn't us!"

"What? You think Mel or I carved your boyfriend's name into solid stone with our fingernails? Someone else did this!" The three girls shared a look before rushing towards where the boys were waiting. Coming out of the cave they saw Tommy seizing an axe.

"Tommy?" Cindy called out to her boyfriend who ignored her and ran at Arnie swinging the axe. The girls screamed in terror and rushed back into the cave to avoid the same fate. "Right here! Help me!" Cindy calls from the bookshelf. The three girls rush to move the books and enter the tunnel before Tommy can catch up. 

Knocking the bookshelf over Alice and Cindy make their way in before Melissa follows them. She entered just as Tommy eventually got into the room. He followed them into the tunnel and grabbed Mel's leg. Melissa shrieked and tried kicking him as the girls pulled Mel towards them.

"Get off of me! Tommy! Please let go!" She cried out in terror, eventually, Tommy lets go after a well-placed kick and the rocks in the tunnel begin to collapse on them. Alice and Cindy shout as they manage to pull Melissa out in time. Melissa sobs into her hands as the dust settles, her cries coming to a halt as she can hear heavy breathing.

"Oh god! Can you hear that?" She chokes out. The other two began to listen and hear Tommy's breathing from the other side. 

"He's still alive?"

"He can't... get us"  Alice reassured them, "He can't get us".
