BRIIIING! BRIIIING! Jim answered the phone almost immediately. He'd been awaiting a phone call about Rumer for the past two weeks. "Help me. Help me! I didn't mean it, I didn't- I'm sorry Mr. Galavan, please!" There was a loud scream and the call dropped.
Jim hung up the phone and jumped out of his seat, "Harvey, Galavan's place. Now." Harvey followed him, jogging to catch up. As they got into the car, Harvey turned to Jim, "What's goin on with Galavan?"
Jim was speeding through the streets of Gotham, "There was a call. I have been waiting on word on Rumer Mills for three months. I'm jumping on every damn call we get." They pulled up to Theo's building and Jim ran out of the car, Harvey rolling his eyes, but staying right behind him as he ran to Theo's door.

Jerome sat and stared at the fire as he waited on Penguin to get back.
"No one. I have been to every source I have, talked to nearly every person in Gotham, no one has seen her. Not in the past month." Penguin said as he hobbled in, especially tired after begging/beating people into telling him what they know.
Though it was killing Jerome, Penguin was dying inside over Rumer's disappearance too. At least Jerome got to have her before then. Had gotten to make memories. "I'm sorry, friend, but we may have to accept the fact that she could be gone. Sur-" Before he could finish, Jerome was up from his seat with his hand around Penguin's throat, "Shut up." He snarled, lips taut and eyes looking as if they had caught aflame while looking into the dancing fire.
"I'm going to Theo." Jerome let go of Penguin's throat, "We should have killed him the last time we were there, but hey," Jerome said, smiling, "Patience is a virtue." With that, he stalked out of his sanctuary. He didn't care if the world thought he was dead. He didn't care if he got caught. But what he did care about, he was willing to kill for.

Jim ran up the stairs and kicked the door open, "GCPD!" He looked around, immediately noticing Theo's dead body on the ground, a knife sticking out of his throat, stab wounds everywhere. Harvey groaned in disgust and pointed at the light flickering from further into the house.
They walked in cautiously and saw Rumer, her hair now hanging sweaty and past both of her eyes to her nose. She was sobbing silently and watching the t.v. "Oh my Lord." Harvey muttered.
Playing on the screen was footage of Theo, torturing and beating Rumer, her hands suspended from the ceiling. "Ugh. Rumer." Jim called out to her, but she just kept sitting, eyes transfixed on the screen.
"Miss Mills?" He called again, more stern this time. Rumer released her legs, turning to face the detectives, "I didn't want to do it." She said, her eyes wide and voice soft. "I didn't want to, but Mr. Galavan, h-he wouldn't leave. I called the police and he got angry. H-he was going to kill me."
Jim walked closer to Rumer, "You called the police?" Rumer nodded, looking at the detectives for the first time, "Yes sir. I woke up a couple of weeks ago and Mr. Galavan had me tied up and beaten. Everyday. I don't know why - what I did to him - but he seemed to not care about my pleads and cries."
Now the men were extremely confused. "What all do you remember? Before waking up here?" Jim asked as he bent down towards Rumer's face as if she were a child. "Nothing," She said. Jim studied her. She looked like she really didn't know what was going on, "Let's go Miss Mills. I'm going to take you down to the precinct to get checked out, okay?" Rumer nodded, tears still running.
Jim called for all of the necessary people to come clean the mess and evidence from Theo's apartment as him and Harvey were leaving with Rumer. Just as they turned the corner, Jerome came up the stairs from the other side. He walked right up to Theo's apartment and opened the door.
He'd expected to see Rumer beating the life out of Theo, but instead, he saw Theo dead on the ground. Part of him wanted to smile, but part of him wanted to growl in anger. He was glad Theo was dead, but he wanted to be the one to do it.
As he looked over the dead body, Jerome heard Rumer. He ran into the living room, only to see the tape playing. Theo was cutting and beating a crying Rumer. Jerome felt his blood boil, an anger rolling in his belly, one he had never felt before.
Just a he was about to destroy the t.v. he saw Rumer go limp. The fire in his eyes deflated as he saw her body sag, purple and blue, her hair longer than the last time he saw her and unkempt, just the way he liked it.
The recording stopped to show another one.
Rumer killing Tabitha.
Jerome smiled at the video, a bit sad, if he was being honest. That was the Rumer he knew, fiery, crazy...alive. Just as the video was ending, he heard Rumer sing, "You're never fully dressed, without a smile." Jerome felt good, the beautiful murderess being the way he'd remember Rumer. A fireball of crazy, and a collar full of murder, with a hint of sanity that made her even scarier than the straight up psychos she had to compete with for her reputation.
As he was remembering his love, the officers walked in, Harvey being one of them. "You bastard, you're supposed to be dead." Before he could do anything, he was being shocked with a taser, "You don't deserve death, sicko. I'm takin you right back to Arkham. How's it feel to be right back where you started?" Harvey said as he cuffed Jerome, who laughed.
Who wouldda thought, this was the second time in less than half a year that he lay on the ground, immobilized and smiling? He looked like a pro at it, but the difference between this time and list time, last time, he had something to come back to.
