Two weeks later, Luke and Lorelai arrived back from their honeymoon, and Liv and Rory were waiting for them at the airport. They had a banner each, saying "WELCOME HOME MOM AND LUKE!" and as they walked out, they dropped it and ran to meet their mom, who was running towards them, and they all crashed together, hugging and falling to the floor, laughing.

"I missed you girls so much!" Lorelai laughed as they stood up.

"We missed you too mom!" Liv smiled.

"Did you two enjoy yourselves when I was away?" She asked them.

"Well, I did, Rory ran off to Paris," Liv raised an eyebrow. Luke walked over and the two girls gave him a hug, too.

"You ran off to Paris?" Lorelai repeated.

"I have news," Rory said, cringing, "but I'll tell you all when we get home."

"Anyway," Liv smirked, "How was it?"

"Too hot!" Lorelai sighed.

"Well mom, Malta is a very hot island," Rory laughed.

"It was very hot, Lorelai, most of the time you were complaining it wasn't hot enough!" Luke exclaimed.

"But now, being back, it's too hot! I couldn't drink a coffee without overheating!" Lorelai sighed.

"How did you cope?"

"Iced coffee!"

When they got back, they dumped the bags in Luke and Lorelai's bedroom, and went and sat in the kitchen.

"So, what's your news?" Lorelai asked Rory.

"I, erm, got...married," Rory muttered.

"You what?" Everyone shouted.

"You got back with Logan?" Liv asked, annoyed.

"Yeah," She said.

"I can't believe you!" Liv stormed it of the house, slamming the door. Rory slumped down in her chair, burying her face in her hands.

"Babe, why didn't you tell us?" Lorelai asked, softly.

"I wanted to tell you together. I didn't think she'd be so annoyed," Rory said.

"I mean, she has a point. He did cheat on you, and-" Lorelai started.

"I never told you he cheated on me," Rory interrupted.

Lorelai froze, and closed her eyes, "Liv told me."

"What? When?" Rory asked.

"When it happened," Lorelai said.

"You knew? You knew! I can't believe you didn't tell me either! You all criticise Logan for lying to me, but you all do too!" Rory shouted, walking out.

Lorelai leaned back in her chair, and Luke rubbed her shoulders.

"I've messed up," Lorelai sighed.

"She'll realise soon enough that you did it to protect her," Luke said.

"And she got married! To him! And I thought my news was going to shock them more!" Lorelai exclaimed, "and when am I even meant to tell them now!"

"You can tell them soon, when Rory has calmed down," Luke told her.

"You're right. I'm going to unpack," Lorelai stood up.

"Yeah, I'll bring the coffee up."

Liv walked into Luke's, where Jess was working behind the counter (he had been covering for Luke while he was away) and sat on a stool on front of him. When he walked in front of her, he noticed her annoyed expression and poured her a cup of coffee.

"She's married," she told him.

"Of course she's married, she's just been on her honeymoon..." he said, confused.

"Not my mom, Rory!" Liv cried.

"What?" Jess said.

"When she went to Paris, she was getting married to Logan! God, for a Yale graduate she's so stupid!" Liv vented.

"I can't believe it...Rory Huntsberger...not really the best name, is it?" Jess shrugged, "Olivia Mariano, on the other hand..." he winked.

"Easy tiger," she retorted half heartedly.

"What're you thinking?" He said, tucking her hair behind Liv's ear.

"That she's an idiot," Liv mumbled.

"Jess. I ordered pancakes with blueberries and chocolate exactly 3.74 minutes ago. When Luke's here, I get them in 3.70 minutes," Kirk interrupted.

"Get a grip Kirk!" Liv yelled.

"Jess, your costumers are very rude today. If you don't do something about it, I won't be coming in again until Luke comes back to work," Kirk said.

"See how much I care," Jess shrugged, causing Kirk to walk out of the diner, "listen to that."

"What?" Liv said.

"Quiet," Jess smiled.

Rory had sat in her car after the argument, staring into space, until there was a knock on the window. Lane was stood outside the car, waving manically at her.

"Lane!" Rory smiled, getting out the car to hug her best friend, "How was Korea? And how are the boys? I miss them so much!"

"Korea was...Korea I guess! Ahhh I've missed you so much!" Lane hugged her again, "you have to come to see the boys, Zach has them at home now, they're finally asleep."

"I will, and I'll bring Logan as well!" Rory smiled.

"You're back together? Liv told me you'd split up!" Lane said.

"Actually...we're married," Rory told her.

"Oh my god congratulations!" Lane squealed.

"At least someone's pleased for me," Rory laughed.

"Uh Oh," Lane said, "guessing a certain mom and sister aren't too pleased then?"

"Bingo," Rory said with mock happiness.

"They'll come round," Lane told her.

"I hope so," Rory smiled.

That night, Liv and Jess were sat in the kitchen with Luke and Lorelai.

"I can't believe it, mom!" Liv repeated.

"I know," Lorelai agreed.

"Do you want a beer, Lorelai?" Jess asked, walking to the fridge.

"No, thanks," Lorelai smiled.

"Coffee then?"

"Definitely not. I doubt we have decaf here," Luke chuckled.

"I'll have some apple juice, please Jess," she smiled.

"Wait. No beer? Decaf? Apple juice?" Liv said, slowly, "Mom, your pregnant!"

"What?" Lorelai chuckled, nervously.

"You might as well tell her, Lorelai," Luke smiled.

"You're gonna be a big sister," Lorelai smiled.

Liv leapt across the table at her mom, hugging her really tight. Luke stood up and embraced Jess, Jess patting Luke on the back.

"Congrats Uncle Luke," he smiled.

"How far along are you?" Liv asked.

"1 month," Lorelai told her.

"Oh my god! I'm so excited. And happy for you, congratulations, both of you!" She grinned, hugging Luke.

"Well, we were going to wait to tell you and Rory together, but seeing as you figured it out yourself...could you not tell her please?" Luke asked her.

"I won't be telling her anything for a long time," Liv sighed.

The following morning, Jess and Liv were loading the car with their clothes; they were going back to New York.

"That's it!" Liv smiled.

"Are you sure you can't stay a bit longer?" Lorelai asked.

"Jess has some things to do at Trucheon, and I need a job," Liv said, "don't worry, it'll be Christmas in a few weeks. We'll come back then."

"And Friday night dinners," Lorelai reminded her.

"And Friday night dinners," she laughed.

"You ready?" Jess hugged her form behind.

Liv turned in his arms and kissed him on the cheek, "Let's go home."

Quickly kissing her forehead, Jess hugged Lorelai and waved by to Luke and jumped in the car.

"You two are so cute," Lorelai told her.

"We try," Liv laughed, "you'll say bye to Rory for me?"

"Depends on whether or not she talks to me," Lorelai sighed, "anyway, call me when you get back."

"Of course," Liv smiled, "I love you, and take it easy. And ignore Luke when he tells you off for not having decaf."

"Obviously," Lorelai said, "I love you too."

"Bye," Liv climbed in the car, and her and Jess drove away.

That night, Liv was in the bathroom brushing her teeth and Jess was lay in bed, reading.

"So, I was thinking," Liv paused to spit out the toothpaste.

"Uh oh," Jess chuckled.

"Shush, it's a good thought," Liv scolded him.

"The only good thoughts you ever have involve coffee or mangos," Jess teased.

"I've had other good thoughts," Liv insisted.

"Like..." Jess prompted.

"Like us getting married...and starting a family," Liv said.

"I thought you didn't want that..." Jess said.

"I do. I don't know what changed my mind, but I do. I mean, I don't want kids yet, definitely not right now, but I do want to marry you. I don't even know why I said no when you asked me," Liv told him.

"Well then," he reached into his draw by the bed and pulled out the ring box, "Olivia Gilmore, will you marry me?"

"Yes," she smiled. He put the ring on, and she kissed him hard.

"I love you so much Olivia Gilmore," he said when they pulled away.

"I love you Jess Mariano," she whispered back.
