As Sebastian walked toward me I froze in panic since I was tied up to even move and wiggling my arms at him would be worthless. I'll look like an idiot.  

He caught my flailing arms and said,"No, no, no. When I say time's up time's up. Now, cut this out!" I gave him a hard look, but he just scowled, and threw me down the floor. I landed face-down and my cry was muffled out in pain as the wire around my legs tightened, and eventually pierced my skin. I would have glanced down to look at the mess, but I was tangled up too much to even as much move my legs. 

Suddenly, Sebastian grabbed me from my underarms,and stood me up, but I cringed back whenever the wire went deeper in me. He didn't care, but only pushed me to a chair. I heavily leaned against the chair and started shivering in fear and pain. 

Then Jayk and some other guy came in the room and headed toward me. Sebastian handed Jayk the roll of tape. Then they came toward me and started untying the wire around my legs. I looked away as they did this and bit my lip so hard that I tasted blood as they pulled the wire away from me. Jayk then started tying rope around my hands, but he left my legs free. I hate being treated like a slave.

They finished and the other guy grabbed my arm to pull me off the chair. I took a timid step, but it would leave me cringing in pain. 

Sebastian looked smug at this and responded slyly,"Hurt, doll-face? Pity, but no one is going to help you so just shake it off and move it." I blanched and fiddled with my nails.

He smiled and snapped his fingers at Jayk who roughly grabbed my shoulders, and prodded me forward. My hands clenched and then I started walking alongside Sebastian and the other two. 

The door closed behind us and I found myself looking at nothing, but blackness. I blinked and looked around me, but Jayk prodded me forward that I obeyed and moved blindly in the darkness. I cringed whenever something brush again me. The world under my feet was cold and empty Emptiness that punctured my heart.

No one spoke. There was just our breathing and the tap-tap of our footsteps. I painfully moved on my feet and was guided by under Jayk's hand. I still couldn't see even though we have been walking for 5 minutes now. I had the impression though that we were walking on some sort of tunnel because I felt like something was going to fall ontop of me any minute. Like, the walls around me were gonna collapse on me.

I blinked as a faint breeze hit my cheekbones and made it's way across my neck. The little hairs on my neck rose up and I squinted at the darkness before me. I still couldn't see anything, but I don't know if this was my imagination or not because I suddenly glimpsed a glint of light. 

I swallowed and tried again, but it disapeared just as it went. Jayk grunted at my right and then I felt him move behind me. Then Sebastian started moving more quickly and eventually he was farther away from us. His footsteps quickly faded out.

Jayk grabbed my arms and held them. We walked some more and not so long did it take that the atmosphere around me started getting lighter. I could see now as light started seeping from somewhere. I just wonder where it's coming from.

Then out of nowhere a door popped open and I temporary became blind. The inside of my eyelids were white and then I started becoming light-headed. Someone grabbed my arms and pushed me forward through the door. I started thrashing about the second my foot hit solid ground and everything disappeared from me.

Everything went quickly after that. Someone grabbed me from behind and started pushing me to an unknown direction. A strong breeze slapped my face and I found myself staring at grass. Really high grass that I could probably hide in. The scent of hay and chestnuts filled my nose and the chattering of birds filled my ears. 

I looked around me more and gaped in shock as miles of land stood before me. It was like an endless sea. I couldn't even detect a house in sight, but only grass and more grass. Why do I have the feeling that I'm not in Oregon anymore? I started having a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. 

Suddenly, a shadow passed over me and I found Sebastian staring down at me with a murderous glint on his eyes. He bent over, grabbed my arms, and dragged me toward a car with tinted windows that I haven't noticed before. 

"Where are you taking me?!" I said as he pushed me against the passenger door, and opened the back door. 

"To your death," he replied. I froze in fear. I was scared, but mad at the same time because that was his intention all the time. He didn't do all of this for nothing you know! 

"Now get in!" he said. I slowly got in and the others climbed too. I pressed myself away from them, but Jayk kept me in the middle of them. I sat there with hands shaking and tears threatening to fall. I peeked at the windows, but they were so tinted that I could barely see the sun or it's light. 

The car rumbled to life under us. Jayk suddenly leaned over me and whispered menacingly in my ear,"Don't you dare try anything because we won't have to go through this and I can just kill you faster." He flipped open a pocket knife and outlined the archery of my neck with it. I flinched away from the cool, sharp object and kept my mouth shut.

Jayk smugly smiled and nodded with the other guy. I silently sucked on my lower lip and prayed for the best as the car started slowly moving. A shaky breath went through me and the car started picking up speed. It reversed and started backing away. We were quiet and patient inside the car. Well, I was, anyway since I didn't want to meet death quickly.

Then the car started moving more faster. I clenched my hands and straightened my back. There really was nothing going on. There was only the beating of my heart and my tear-filled eyes. 

More minutes passed. Then they became to several minutes to hours or that's how my mind looked at it.

Then I slowly realized that I was falling asleep. My eyelids were droopy with tiredness and my mouth was dry. I slowly started giving up to all my senses and eveything started getting darker. My muscles relaxed and my fears started vanishing into thin air. Nothing stood between me now. 

Eventually, my eyes closed. And I let my mind wander to somewhere unknown... 

No pain. No fear. No loneliness. No cruelity. Just the arms of sleep cooing me to sleep.

Someone started shaking my shoulder. Another my knee. Someone shouted something. I softly moaned and turned away. The shakes started getting more violent and they started to hurt. I sniffed and swapped them away. 

"Five more minutes, mom," I groaned. I reached out for my covers, but only found emptiness. I frowned and reached lower.

"Five minutes my ass. Now get up 'cause your time had ended," a harsh voice said on my ear. I froze and my eyes snapped open. I looked at Sebastian and saw him leaning over me with a angered expression on his face. I felt my cheeks start to get warmth, but Sebastian got tired of waiting so he grabbed my arms, and dragged me out the car.

I got light-headed and numbly reached for something to hold one. Nothing came to my reach and I found myself sitted on the ground like a little kid. I rubbed my eyes and found a wide field of hay before me. My mouth popped open at this and fear started coming back to me. Where am I? 

The sky had turned into a faint navy blue and the sun was lower on the sky. It must be evening now or getting to, I thought. A soft breeze moved over the field and and everything was really quiet. Not a single house or car in sight.

I looked behind me and saw Sebastian and the others talking urgently. Then I looked behind them to see a rusted, brown barn. Barn? We came all this way because of a barn? You have to be kidding. What a waste. 

Sebastian nodded toward me and Jayk charged over me with the rope again. He stood me up and tied the rope on my hands again. Then he guided me inside the barn and the door closed behind us.

It was a barn. Not much in it. Just a few stable, garden instruments, and the basics. It was abandoned. Jayk sat me in the ground and stood beside me as Sebastian and the other dude--who's name is still unknown to me--entered the...barn.

This was it. He was going to kill me--here. I could feel it my bones, in every blood cell, and in my heart.

Sebastian smiled at me and toyed with his pocket knife in his hands. I stared at it and found myself backing away from it and him. Jayk grunted and kicked me to the ground. My mouth met a handfull of hay. My eyes snapped toward Sebastian's face who was amused by my action.

"Scared? You don't know the meaning of scared. Arielle, we can make this simple or we can make this hard. Choose? But then again you don't have much of a choice!" Sebastian laughed, but I felt bitterness toward him.

"Even if you do kill me Shadow will hunt you down and make you pay. I know he will. So if I were you I would weigh on my options 'cause your really screwed up so far. Don't dig yourself more," I warned him, my eyes blazing with determination.

Sebastian's face stayed unchanged, but I felt a nerve jump on his jaw. A glint of hope sparked in me. "Nice try. But I know what I'm doing," he coolly replied as he leaned against the wall with the knife passed back and forth on his hands.

"And why are you doing this? Revenge? That's really stupid. I would rather ignore that person then get revenge," I said with honesty.

Sebastian's poker face stayed on, but I saw something move behind that cold mask of his. "Possible. But you wouldn't understand. Your too--"

"I know it's about your sister, Nora. You thought Shadow crashed the car on accident and let your sister die with no mercy. You got it wrong. He didn't--"

"And how would you know?!? You weren't there when it happened! You don't know nothing. Your just some delusional, naive girl! How would you know anything!" he shouted at me, his hand balling into tight fists.

I swallowed and spoke more confidently. "I'm more than you think. I know I wasn't there when it happened, but Shadow wouldn't do anything like that--"

Sebastian humorlessly laughed and said,"Your think your Shadow is that...pure, don't you? News flash, honey, but he isn't a saint."

Anger started boiling inside me and I screamed out,"You don't know him how I do! I know he isn't perfect, but he is not a criminal like you!" I stared defiantly at him and held him against the wall with my gaze.

"Don't be silly. I've known him for a long time. I used to be his best friend you know. He's done a lot of things and they weren't pleasant. If I told you what he has done you would hate him forever."

"I would hate you instead! They're lies just spilling out of your mouth! You worthless swine!" I screamed my whole heart out with the last words.

That's when I took things too far. Sebsatian's face smoldered with anger and hate. His breathing got heavier and his hands clenched murderously.

Then he charged after me. I gaped and frantically scurried away from him. Jayk yanked at my hair and I let out a pained cry.

Sebastian was now just inches away from me as Jayk held me down by my hair. Sebastian's hand lifted and I braced for the slap to make contact with my face. 

"Don't you dare to fucking touch her!" were the words screamed in the air.

My heart stopped beating. My eyes started watering and everything went on so fast that it was like a blur.

Wooh! Now I'm done. I have to admitt I was dreading this chapter because it's like when Shadow and Sebastian face-to-face and Shadow's and Arielle's relationship are put on the line. I also have to admitt that I got bored writing this, but at the middle I started getting into it! :) I got nervous writing this 'cause I was hesitation of how to write it so I hope you guys like this. What else...? Um, Bullet for my Valentine is my new obsession? No joke. I love all their songs. My fav is "Tears Don't Fall". <3

God, did this chapter make me nervouse and writing the "death" scene was nerve-wracking!! Thank god the conversation popped in my head!
