Voices. Voices everywhere. Where am I? Where is everyone? The music...my friends...the costumes..the cheering...where?

Everything was so quiet, but I could hear distant voices overhead along with the thuddering of my heart in my chest like a bouncing ball not letting gravity take it down.

I felt like I was underground...like in a basement. My jaw twitched. I listened closely as I felt more awake. I could hear a clinking sound like a...water. It was water, but how could water be underground. And I think I'm still at school since I passed out like for 10 minutes. 

I exhaled and my nose wrinkled at the mustiness in the air. Then I started flexing my hands and reaching out at the darkness in front of me. Was I moving? Or was someone carrying me? I frowned and reached out around me. After a few seconds I hit something, it was hard, and alive.

I stopped moving and I heard a shift below me that sent me grabbing out for something. Dammit, why can't I open my eyes!, I thought with frustration.

Then there came a voice, a male voice.

"Seb! She's waking up! What do I do with her?," he asked. I lazily stretched around and reached again for the darkness since I thought I recognized that voice. Nothing. 

There was a shuffle and as they got more near I found out they were footsteps. I froze and decided to stop wiggling around like an idiot. My heart started beating so fast that I wondered how they couldn't hear it. 

The footsteps stopped and I wanted to move away since I felt like whoever was next to me was staring down at me with disgust and maybe...hatred. God, someone get me out of here, I thought.

I stood still and quiet as the other guy spoke,"Keep her quiet and if she keeps moving more then get her back to sleep."

Then it suddenly hit me: I'm being kidnapped by Sebastian. I'm such an idiot!, I screamed at myselt as the memories came back to me and I hated myself. What am I gonna do now?!? If I move they'll put me back to sleep and then Shadow won't be able to find me...Shadow? Why am I puting Shadow in this when I was the one who got in this situation! Okay, okay, Arielle, just focus, and think of a way to get out of this mess. Uh....think...think... C'mon, think!

I'm so stupid! How could I just have accepted that water bottle from that guy...Jayk! Why are you so nice, Arielle? Why can't you just be careful. Especially around strangers! This is like my third time getting in trouble and I promised that I wouldn't, but how could' I've known! I don't know everything! Oh, Shadow, I'm so sorry. I sometimes wished we never met, but then I wouldn't have known what a great guy you are. I just wish things were different and not so complicated. Dammit, this is not fair.

I tuned out of my gloomy state and sniffed as tears threatened to fill my eyes, and make me vulnerable. Stop it! This will not get you anywhere. I'll find a way to escape without the help of Shadow and the others, I fiercely thought.

Jayk shifted me in his arms and took a lot from me not to smack him in the face. My thoughts went back to where we were, but I couldn't see through the think haze of blackness. As I focused more, I found out that I wasn't looking inside my eyelids I was wearing a bandana. A black one to be more specific. I was relieved about this since I wouldn't have to get paranoid anymore about not finding out what was wrong with my eyes, but it didn't erase the fact that I was being kidnapped. At least they didn't taped my mouth shut. 

How many guys were here anyway? I quietly and slowly cocked my head to the side to detect any noise beside their footsteps an breathing, but really didn't found anything. Just quietness, but there seemed to be some tension in the air. It came to me in waves and didn't strike me in a good way. I have to take action now or I'll never escape. Also, if he takes me like somewhere foreign and unfamiliar to me then I'm in big trouble. 

I took a deep breath and prepared to attack Jayk. Yeah, this was kinda naive from me, but I really had no choice.

Jayk must have sensed the shift in my body because he immediately yelled out,"Hey, Sebastian? I think she's waking up because she's kinda rigid now."

I suddenly froze and attacked Jayk much quickly than I anticipated since he already was on my tail. I quietly took a deep breath and quickly pounced on Jayk even though I was already on him. I unfolded my body from his arms, took hold of my arms, and got him in a choke hold as I also wrapped my legs around his waist. Jayk almost yelled out for Sebastian, but I covered his mouth with one of my hands and took my other hand to snatch the bandana off my eyes. I blinked my eyes open, but they immediately closed again since my eyes weren't adjusting so well since it's been awhile that I had my eyes opened. Jayk shifted above me and that had my in panic so I quickly opened my eyes and shoved him to the floor. There was a loud thudding sound and dirt flew around us. I coughed out loud and it hit that we were in a basement. Probabaly the school's basement. My eyes practicly shined with victory as I realized that I could possibly escape from these people. 

I have to get away like right now. I glanced down at Jayk's unmoving body and quietly, but quickly moved away from him. As I took my first few steps away from him his right hand wrapped around my ankle making me shriek in surprise and I slapped his hand away. His hand slipped away and I lost not time in running away. 

At first I was at loss at where to go, but quickly scrambled away from Jayk as far as I could so I could take a good look at this place since I never been here. I rounded a corner and ran some more until I felt that I was faraway from him. I backed deep into one of the walls and made myself invisible as I could in the darkness.

I was breathing really hard, but it was mostly from fear since I hoped that Sebastian didn't hear Jayk's voice and felt suspicious that he didn't hear him behind him anymore. Speaking of Sebastian, where was he? Wasn't he next to Jayk last time I recall? Or did he just talk to him that one time and decided to walk ahead in case people were in the basement. 

Goosebumps formed along my arms at the thought of Sebastian knowing I escaped and was coming for me since the last time we met our meeting wasn't pretty at all. I shivered and wrapped my arms around my legs. Now, I thought, how am I getting out of here when I never knew of this place and how does Sebastian know this place when he doesn't go this school or any school at all? Well, since I'm not gonna get these questions answered I might as well go search around and look for the exit or entrance to this place. If I can anyway. 

I sighed and looked around for any familiarity in this place. This place wasn't even one of those neat places you see in houses it was full of wiring, air conditioners, old stuff, furniture, and pretty much what a basement looks like before it's repaired. The wall's had deep cracks that I guess were so bad that the school decided to fix the basement to avoid any electrical or plumbing problems. I guess that by looking at the walls and looking at the paint, materials, and all these stuff across from me. 

Okay, okay enough distractions. I gotta get out of here or I'm a goner. I unfolded my arms, propped up in a sitting position, and slowly stood up from my hidding place. Before I fully settled myself in plain sight I glanced sideways to see if anyone was following me and with a deep breath I walked out of the darkness to plain sight.

I froze when my foot brushed against a pebble that skipped away from me making a quick tink, tink sound as it went. I sighed in relief as it stopped a few steps away from me, but was still cautious around me since it was unusually quiet around me, and I only left Jayk 20 minutes ago so it shouldn't have taken him long to wake up. Oh, crap! Time to go and stop being a scaredy-cat here.

I let my hand wander along the wall for like a guide and swiftly ran. I turned a corner and faced a dimmed hallway with a cracked floor. I hesitated for a second, but went through it. I carefully went along the hallway and made sure a hole wasn't in my away since I didn't want to end up with a twisted ankle again. 

As I came to the middle of the hallway a must, bitter smell hung in the air making me cough out as it clogged my throat and my view. I gripped the wall for support and bent over my waist as I coughed. After a minute I controlled myself and covered my mouth with the sleeve of my costume which was still new as I remembered, but dirty at the hem. Oh, well, I thought.

As I sniffed and coughed a bit more faint footsteps came to my ears and I froze as I stared down at the floor. I slowly stood up straight and looked back at the direction I came from. The footsteps got louder and I realized that they weren't walking they were running. I gaped and immediately ran the opposite way. I carefully avoided the holes and glanced from time to time at the end of the hall.

I came closer to the end of it and relief poured in my head as I rounded the corner, further away from them. 

Suddenly, a hand clamped down hard on my mouth and pulled me toward an unknown person. An arm wrapped itself around me waist and sqeezed hard. I gasped out loud as my breathing subsided and my vision blurred. I helplessly pulled on the arm, but it's hold tightened, and I got weaker. Small lights of white danced across my vision and my mind started shutting down.

"This is what you get for running away," a voice said. I couldn't identify him because my body was shutting down and I couldn't think as I gasped out loud for air.

Suddenly, I felt something thin and sharp press into my skin. It quickly dug in and the realization that a needle was being dug in me made me horrorstruck. 

That was when I screamed for help.

ATTENTION PEEPS!!!!!

Sorry, that this took long guys, but I was working on "Chilled", and on my new story. So, yeah I've been in a different world in "Chilled", but it's been interesting. Kinda scary though. :) GO CHECK IT OUT GUYS!! I will love to see what you think and you will not regret it!!

Also, with my new story which will be called "Humanoid". What do you guys think about aliens? And no not with scales and all that. A hybrid. An experiment. A mix of human cells and alien cells combined. Interested already? I hope so! There's more to it than just a hybrid, but it's also about an adventure that will change the course of life of two races forever. Excited now with this new info? I hope so!! :D

Anyway, back to Arielle and Shadow. You guys curious of what will come next?!? I totally hope so because their story is just beginning and it will leave you wanting more or so I hope so! Halloween turned into a nighmare for them. I feel bad, but it has to go like this, but in the end something will come good of this.
