Sorry it took so long, but it's been a busy week and I'm ready to start writing some more!

The Song of the Day was supposed to be Full Moon by The Black Ghosts, but apparently I couldn't show on here for whatever reason that happened so the song I guess will be Paint it Black by VersaEmerge.

This chapter is dedicated to TheShadowThief who has been a great friend and has a great style of music! This song by VersaEmerge is actually a song she told me about so I decided to choose this one as the second song for this part! Seriously people she has good taste in music 'cause were both rock girls! :P

Previously....

I gaped at the house in front of me as it towered in front of us, it's focus on us. I shivered involuntarily. I still was dumbfounded at Shadow's words:

"Welcome to my home, Arielle."  For some reason it sounded odd coming out of his lips like that.

Shadow stopped in front of the house and turned off the motorcycle, but my eyes were still in the house (cabin-like) and it's surroundings. Flowers were blooming here and there and trees were surrounding the house from behind. I couldn't tell how many floors the house had since the way the house was made was confusing. The bottom of the house was made out of stone and the other half was made out of wood. I cringed at bugs crawling all over the place since this was a woody area with trees, flowers, and grass everywhere so bugs weren't unknown around here.

There was three paths that led toward entrances of the house:one led toward the front door, the other led toward the side of the house where stairs where at that led to a room I suppose I couldn't really see so much, and the last one led to the other side of the house that I guess led to a back door? It was confusing for sure, but why were we here anyway?

I finally looked at Shadow who surprisingly was standing right next to me, gazing at the house. How couldn't I notice that he got out?

"Confusing, eh? My mother is fond of different life-styles so she bought this house that was surrounded by a big amount of trees. I didn't mind just that it was somewhere where not a lot of trouble is caused. Private, but not boring." Shadow said with fondness then he glanced at me. I probably looked stupid sitting there on a unmoving vehicle with my helmet settled on an awkward angle at the top of my head. I quickly got out the motorcycle, as I swung my leg out of the motorcycle it started falling down on me. I gasped in shock and then I saw Shadow's hand come down firmly on the motorcycle, giving me time to get out underneath it before it fully went down on me.

I stood up and nodded at Shadow that I was alright. I'm that clumsy? Shadow stood it upright and smirked at me from under that waves of hair covering the side of his face. I raised an eyebrow at his little action.

Shadow shook his head at me while still smirking and said,"Are you like attracted to danger whenever I'm around you? Or are you plain clumsy? Seriously."

"No! And so what if I was clumsy!,"I retorted. That made him smirk more which made me look down at the floor as I blushed a dark red. I cursed under my breath.

"Don't be so offended at this Arielle. I'm just playing with you and I think it's cute," said a soft-looking Shadow. I blushed even more as he commented at my clumsiness as "cute".

An unsettling silence settled between us as he said that, so I decided that we should keep going with what we were supposed to do right now.

I shifted from foot to foot and then I looked up from the gravel-covered ground and said,'Um..shouldn't we go inside, I think, but before we do that, why are we here?"

"Well since we need some privacy around us then why not go somewhere surrounded with miles of trees and Sebastian doesn't know where I live so this was the perfect place to talk. And it's really cozy in the inside so it won't look like I'm trying to kidnap you."

"I wasn't thinking that!,"I argued. Shadow raised an eyebrow, mockingly. I sighed.

"Okay,Okay just a tiny bit, but not anymore. Anyway can we go inside now,"I said.

Shadow nodded, but there a was tightness in his eyes now. He led me toward the small, thin path that led toward the front door of the house. Along the way, flowers brushed up against our ankles and unseen birds chirping around us. Shadow opened the door with a sort of metal key and we stepped into a dimly lit house with two staircases facing us, leading into unseen dark hallways. It would have seem creepy, but by the help of some curtains drawn aside in the living room (that was the room beside us) it looked cheerful and welcoming. I'm impressed.

I placed my hands on my hips and looked around. "Wow! Your mom really did a good job with making the place match and look comfy."

Shadow smiled at the compliment I gave his mom. "Yes,well she has a thing for art and different cultures, and she used a lot of that to make the house interesting while being filled with history in it. Neat, huh?"

I nodded. "Yeah,"I said in a breathless voice. I wish this was my house since it looked soo cool.

Shadows indicated to the staircase at the left and said,"Let's go upstairs to the balcony behind the house. It's hard to see it behind all the trees covering the back of the house. Shall we?" Giving me a glance. I swallowed hard and nodded. We slowly climbed the wooden stairs, that creaked under our weight making a shiver make it's way along my spine.

Then we were at the top of the stairs and I could see a hallway at my left side, curving toward somewhere else. There was a window that had the curtains drawn aside too, sunlight was filing the hallway with some light since the window was in the middle of the hall. There must be a lot of rooms here, I thought. Shadow led me toward the hallway and then we made a curve toward the right to another staircase. In the way the walls were covered with pictures. Family pictures.

I stopped in front of one of the pictures that held a tall, lean dark-haired boy sitting in an open field filled with flowers with a twinkle in his deep eyes. He seemed in his early teens. I squinted in concentration at the picture. Did I know that boy with those blue eyes?

"Uh-hum." A throat cleared. I glanced behind me to meet Shadow's eyes staring intently at me. He glanced at the photo that made him clench his jaw. I followed his gaze and then to him.

I pointed my finger at the picture. "That's you?"I asked. Shadow moved so that he was beside me and he stared silently at the picture. I stared at him, carefully watching for his reaction.

Shadow sighed and said,"Yeah I was like 13 years old there. My mom and me with some family friends were having a picnic in my hometown New Jersey. It was July the Fourth so we started off with a picnic and ended it with exploding fireworks in the night. It was an amazing day." I smiled at Shadow. Then glanced back at the picture with awe.

"It must have been an unforgettable day for you. It sounds like it." I said cheerfully.

Shadow smiled and looked at me with a soft look in his eyes. It was mesmerizing. I had this strong urge to kiss him, but I kept my hands to myself since I didn't want to ruin this moment with my delusions.

A peaceful silence spread between us as we got lost in our own thoughts. I sighed dreamily.

"Let's go up the balcony now," said Shadow. Another sigh broke from my lips and I smiled up at him as we made our way up the stairs. We came to a room that didn't held much stuff in it. Facing us at the other side of the room was two glass doors with intricate patterns on them that led to a balcony.

"My mom is still deciding what to do with the room so that's why it looks so empty,"explained Shadow.

I nodded while Shadow opened the glass doors and the room was soon filled with rays of sunlight. I breathed in the fresh air as we set foot in the balcony. I looked around, it really was beautiful out here with the trees looking quite majestic and green, and the sun was hiding behind the treetops.

A small table was between two simple chairs that looked welcoming. I hesitated in sitting in one of the chairs and I looked questioningly at Shadow. With his hand he indicated for me to sit in one. I sat down. A slight breeze brushed my face as I glanced at the sun. Shadow settled in the other chair and then glanced at me with hesitation. I bit my lip, a sign that meant I was uncomfortable.

"Soo...."I started.

A sigh escaped from Shadow. "Better not waste time. It's now or never." He said. It was more to himself than to me.

"Arielle,"Shadow said sternly." Now do you understand how Sebastian will treat you if we stay more in contact?"

"Yeah now I do, but how could he be so...merciless? He was so cold and just cruel. It's just  unbelievable to grasp,"I replied back. I flinched at the memory.

"He wasn't like that you know, but after after his sister died he's come to the conclusion that I killed her when I didn't. It was just a tragic accident. And now look at him, a merciless creature filled with strong hatred toward me. I'm lucky that I'm not dead yet, but luck runs out so quick." I cringed at the last part.

"How are we gonna do this then?"

"Well obviously we can't hide that we know each other since he already knows. It's surprising he found out so fast when you barely knew. Hmmm.....oh yeah um I guess just try to dodge him meaning try not to get tangled on one of his traps again. I gotta find out how to end this before he starts making grudges against you." Shadow said with his eyebrows furrowed in concentration.

"It's not fair that he treats you like this! Haven't you tried to reason with him that you didn't do anything wrong?" I put in. I had hatred toward this guy since he doesn't know the whole truth, but I had this feeling that even if they told him the truth he would still follow his plan to end Shadow. I clenched my fists on my lap.

Shadow shook his head,"But even if I do he won't listen, he stands beside his decision. Arielle, you better not do anything crazy like try to reason with him because that will only lead you to your death, understand?" I nodded.

"Now what? I get the whole not get involved so much in this, but now what?" I asked.

"I guess we can just keep low and I can't leave you by yourself all the time since who knows when he'll pop out. I guess I better accept that you know, but I can still keep you out of it."

I narrowed my eyes and said,"What do the others think of this?"

"They're alright with it. They know it will be a little tricky, but they'll manage. Anyway it's not the first time a girl got involved..."Shadow cursed under his breath at his slip.

My head snapped toward him."What other girl,Shadow?" What! A breeze swept my hair back from my face as I frowned at him

Shadow cursed under his breath again and after a few moments he spoke,"Remember Nora? Yeah well she was in our gang because we had problem with other gangs and she was involved in it by her own mistake. Not like yours though. So since she was tangled in it by herself we couldn't do anything about it and we decided to let her in our gang since she she didn't have all the skills to defend herself and we knew she would need some back-up and we said, "What the heck! Why not?" So she was the first one we let in our gang."

"And I'm the second one, but with no skills at how to take on a gangster or on anyway to defeat one. Great. I'm useless,"I said with irritation. I shook my head angrily and felt like pacing around.

"Well if it was necessary I will teach you how to fight and teach you other defenses, but since there are not much dangers against you then that means not right now. Ash and TJ will help too,"Shadow added.

I nodded in approval and asked a random question,"Is Ash really his name?"

Shadow seemed disappointed at the question and then said,"No, his name is Asher Kaulitz." I smiled since his last name reminded me from Tokio Hotel's lead singer Bill Kaulitz I think that was how his last name was spelled.

"Arielle, you do know how to make a fist, do you?"Shadow asked. Where did that come from?

I nodded and lifted my fist to show him. I folded my fingers in a fist and placed my thumb over my pointer and middle fingers. Shouldn't everyone know how to make a fist?

Shadow nodded in approval. "Good. At least you know that, but it'll take more than a fist to fight someone and get a good few hits on them." I knew that and I was eager to learn to just seem not so worthless. I mean seriously Sebastian took advantage of me so easily, making me feel so weak because I couldn't fight back at all or even throw a punch!

I sighed miserably and said,"How long has Nora been with you guys?" I was curious.

Shadow cocked his head and said,"Like 4 years, maybe 3. She didn't participate much in the fights since she was still so young. She was two years younger than me so we didn't let her go in the street races or the gang fights, but even if she was young she had a feisty side to herself that was very determined to not show weakness around us. She was dangerous, but quite innocent about it for whatever reason that was." He laughed. It was an attractive laugh. He really had a deep voice. I smiled at how independent he was being, what I meant was he wasn't being careful at what he said or did. I like that.

Then I asked a question I've been dying to know since he mentioned his mom. "Shadow does your mom know that you do this? That you have gang fights and street races?"

Shadow stiffened and looked away from me to the treetops. In a strained voice he said,"Yes she did know that I was doing those things. What I mean is that she did have suspicions, but really couldn't prove them since she never caught me in the act or anything like that, but one night she found out everything..."He stopped there.

"What happened?,"I whispered.

"....She found a pack of weed under one of my hiding places and my switchblade in another place. That was enough for her. When I got home that night she was furious with me since I was like 15 when she found them and she forbidden me to ever smoke or drink and I don't know what she did to my switchblade, but me being the rebellious one I said no. She was shocked when I said I would never stop, that it ended with the point of her threatening me with leaving New Jersey, but even when she said I did it more. I rebelled against her wishes and then we moved out of New Jersey to Oregon. I was so shocked that she would sell our house to move to Oregon because of me. Even if we moved to another state I still did it, but hid it from her completely this time. To this day she doesn't know and I plan to keep it that way. You better not dare tell her Arielle because it will end in a disaster." Shadow looked closely at me.

"I will never because it will just make this more hellish and more complicated than it is. Shadow do you still smoke or drink?" I asked.

"Not that much like I used to I mean I take a drag here and there, but not as much as I did before. And I rarely drink at all since it's just useless to me,"replied Shadow.

Before I could open my mouth to ask another question about his gang, the slamming of a door was heard below us, making me gasp in shock. Our gazes met and the next thing you know we out of the seats and making our way out of the balcony.

"Helloooo, somebody out there! Shadowfax is that you! I see that deadly thing of yours at the front of the house so that must be you up there!"said a muffled, feminine voice.

I looked questioningly at Shadow, but he was too busy climbing down the stairs and into the long hallway. Shadow left me behind as I climbed down the stairs two at a time. When I made my way through the curving hallway I heard muffled voices under me and I sped up. I glanced at the picture of Shadowfax hanging from the wall before I climbed down the long staircase. No one was there.

I narrowed my eyes and placed my hands on my hips in annoyance. Then the sound of muffled voices picked up again and I followed them to another hallway in the living room. This was such a confusing house, I thought.

When the voices got clearer I could easily detect Shadow's deep voice from the other one since the other one was female. Wait. Female? I pushed open one of the doors in the hallway to find a wide kitchen in front of me. I gaped at it and my gaze fell on two people arguing about something.

I bit my lip and cleared my throat. That didn't help. I cleared my throat once again, but more louder. Nothing.

"Um hello,"I said. Just a twitch. I sighed exasperation and spoke louder. "Hello! Somebody!"

Okay that was it. "Excuse me! Can somebody hear me!" I practically yell. Two heads snapped in my direction and I found myself staring directly into two pairs of blue eyes. I gaped at the resemblance and I quickly shut my mouth since I was being rude.

Shadow stepped forward and grabbed my arm. We stood facing the other female. She had a pixie-cut that were spiked in the edges and her hair was raven black. She had a strong, but slender physique and the blouse and dress pants showed perfectly her curves. What made this more shocking was that she had the same blue eyes that Shadowfax held in his own face, but his held more depth and the color was different from the woman's. I had a feeling I knew who she was....

"Arielle, this is my mother Alexandria. Mom, this is Arielle," said a calm Shadowfax. I was the opposite of calm. I was in pure shock.

The raven-haired woman smiled at me.

"This is your mother!," I chocked out.
