After Tom's suicide, it only left five people. Four adults, one kid. The number in their group was descending, and so was the number of their friends.
Everyone was emotionally exhausted, and if one more bad event took place, their minds would probably shut down in exhaustion. They were too tired and in too much of an emotional state to deal with anything. This weakens them.
And the bandits seem to take this as an advantage.
Four in the morning. Loud banging. Sun not even up yet.
Hannah opened her eyes and looks around the dark room. The banging continues, and she sees Lewis up and opening the door of the bedroom.
"Lewis?" She says, sitting up and rubbing her eyes. "What's that noise?"
"I don't know," Lewis answered in a whisper. "But we're going to check it out."
He didn't need to explain who 'we' were, because Duncan and Liam were out in the hallway already. Elly was peeking out her bedroom door, too.
"Elly," Hannah said, getting up and walking to the door. "Stay with me until this whole thing is settled. Okay?"
Elly nodded and walked into Hannah's room and stood by her side while the boys held raised weapons and headed downstairs.
The banging was on the front door. Liam looked out a window to see who was there, but it was too dark to see anything. He did see a few black figures, but he couldn't make out their details.
"Who's out there?" Duncan questioned.
"Finally..." Someone muttered from the other side. It was obviously not a zombie. "We just want to talk."
"Talk about what?" Lewis asked.
"Just...... talk." The voice on the other side seemed a bit hesitant.
"How can we trust you?" Liam asked. "You could be the bandits from the woods, coming to try and kill us again."
"Now, why would we do that?" The voice had dropped the act, and replaced it with an icy tone. "You are going to give us the farm."
"What?!" The three of the boys said at the same time. A boot started to kick at the door, and more voices joined the first. The three ran up the stairs.
"We have to get out of here!" Lewis yelled.
"What's going on?" Hannah asked when they ran upstairs.
"Get as many weapons as you can!" Duncan said.
The five gathered all the weapons they had upstairs and prepared for a fight. They heard the door break down, and many booted feet marching up the stairs. Men with crossbows aimed at them, while they pointed their own weapons at the intruders.
"We," Said one of the bandits. "Just. Want. To. Talk."
"Talk. About. What?" Liam said, mocking the bandit's way of speaking. Said bandit pointed his crossbow at the Scotsman.
"You wanna fight, irish boy?" The bandit threatened. Liam glared at the bandit, but there was evident fear in his eyes.
"What do you want?" Lewis asked, defeat in his voice. They were mentally exhausted, and they didn't need anymore deaths on their heavy shoulders. Going along with whatever these people want seems like the easiest way out.
The bandit smirked. "Great, cooperation. What we want, or rather, need, is this farm."
Elly stepped up, fist clenched. "No! This was my families, and now their graves thanks to you bastards!"
One bandit pointed a crossbow at her, making Elly stop in her tracks.
"Stay back," The leader bandit said. "And drop your weapons, if you care to live."
Elly stepped forward, but Hannah placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Just listen. We'll make it out of here." She whispered.
Everyone dropped their weapons at their feet, and a few of the bandits picked them up.
"Hands up." The leader ordered. The group did as told. The leader nodded to the other bandits.
Before the group could figure out what the leader meant, one bandit hit the closest person, Duncan, over the head with the butt of the crossbow. The blonde fell down, grunting in pain. The bandit once again hit his head, and the Yogscast member fell unconscious. But while the other members were protesting against this, a bandit walked up to Elly and raised his weapon. She noticed a little too late, because the next thing she saw was stars, then blackness.
This happened one after another. All the Yogscast members fell into blackness, and at the hands of the bandits.

Liam groaned as he opened his eyes. The room he was in was dark, and he let his eyes adjust to the darkness. He noticed a throbbing sensation in the back of his head, and tried to remember what had happened. He remembers the bandits.......... the weapons........ then the attack.
Liam attempts to stand up, but realizes he's tied down. He can't move his arms or legs, and notices that he's on a metal chair. He also apparently lost his glasses, but he can see enough in the dark. Liam moves his hands around and tries to grab something, atleast. He finds himself coming in contact with more skin. He finds out that there are more pairs of hands with his behind his back.
"Hey," Liam whispered, hoping that someone else was awake. "Guys? Are you awake?"
"Thank god," Came a voice that sounded like Duncan. "Someone else is awake."
"Hey, Dunc," Liam said. "Where the f*ck are we?"
"I have no idea." Duncan said. "All I know is that we're tied here. And I think everyone else is out-cold."
"Yeah," Liam said. The pain in his head hurt worse. "God, those guys hit hard."
"They hit you all on the head, too?" Duncan said.
"No," Liam said sarcastically. "They hit us on the *ss and chloroformed us."
Duncan chuckled. "Aw, why do you guys get the soft treatment?"
F*ck you." Liam laughed. "We should probably think of a way to get out of here, though."
"Yeah," Duncan said. "We should wake everyone up."
The two proceeded to shake their friends and tell them to wake up. Soon enough, everyone woke up.
"Ugh, why is it so dark in here?" Lewis asked.
"Why don't you stand up and turn on the lights switch?" Elly said sarcastically.
"Ha, ha, very funny." Lewis replied. "Does anyone know how to undo knots?"
"Even if I could, I can't move my hands." Hannah said.
"Maybe," Elly said, seeming to be a bit distracted. "Maybe we can, like, wiggle out of the knots?"
"These knots are so tight, though," Liam said. "I don't think I can get my fingers loose, even if I had lotion on my hands."
"There!" Elly exclaimed. "I got my hands freed."
"How?!" Duncan asked.
"Well, my fingers are small, smaller than yours, that is." Elly said. She bent over and fiddled with the knots on her ankles. After a few minutes, she stood up, and made her way blindly across the room. "Where's the lights?" She murmured.
After a few more minutes, the lights went on, making everyone slightly blind. They shielded their eyes until they got used to the light.
"Okay," Elly said. "Now, I'll help you."
She went around and untied everyone from their spots. All of them had a throbbing head ache, and some, like Duncan and Lewis, had blood running down their heads. The chairs they were put in were placed in a circle in the middle of the room. They found Liam's and Lewis' glasses on the ground, both lenses cracked. Duncan's was probably outside the room somewhere.
"I guess now we'll see what's out there." Hannah said. "But we have to be careful; there might be bandits out there."
Slowly, but surely, the group quietly opened the door, and peeked out. There was no one in the hall, and they appeared to be in one of the rooms in the upper floor. They did hear voices downstairs, though, and whole lot of clinking.
"Are they drinking?" Liam asked in disbelief.
"They either found my Aunt's and Uncle's wine cellar, or they brought their own drinks. Idiots." Elly said, having a little chuckle.
"Yeah," Hannah agreed. "If a zombie, or us, attacked them, they'd be all disoriented and confused. Easy to take out."
"Then we should be quiet and sneak up on them." Lewis added.
The group made it's way to the stairs, where the voices and clinking were enhanced. They could now hear what was being said.
"And what do wa~nt to do with the lo~sers upstairs?" Said a voice, slurring the syllables slightly.
"I don't know, m~an," Said another voice, sounding quite relaxed. "Their in our ha~nds, now." He hiccupped. "I think we should kill them all off."
"A~w," Said another. "Can't we keep the kid? She's a cut~ie." Elly stuck her tongue out and squeezed her eyes shut at this.
"And the blo~ndie? The chick, I mean." Said another. How many were there?! "Not the dude." This time Hannah stuck her tongue her out in disgust.
"Okay, I think that's enough." Lewis said. He backed up away, followed by the group.
"How should we ambush them?" Liam asked.
"I'm not totally sure we should ambush them at all. I think we could try to sneak by them." Lewis said.
"Ooh, Hitman time." Elly rubbed her hands together evilly.
"But how can we sneak by them? They're right downstairs!" Duncan asked.
"Uh," Lewis said. "Elly, do you know any easy way out of here?"
Elly tapped her chin for a moment. "The dumbwaiter from downstairs goes up here. But I think it's too small for any of you to fit. Maybe we can sneak downstairs? Ooh, or better, I make a distraction downstairs while you all escape! Then I escape by going back up the dumbwaiter, then go downstairs, and we runaway! Then it's happily ever after!" She spoke faster with each word.
"I don't think it's that easy." Liam said, chuckling.
"But maybe it will work," Duncan said. "That sounds like a good idea. Anyway, it's the only plan we got."
The group nodded and went to work.
Elly went to the dumbwaiter and pulled it up to the second floor. She crawled in, with wishes of luck by everyone else. She closes the door, and attempts at sliding down to the floor below.
Meanwhile, the Yogscast members get ready at the stairs. They waited for the moment the bandits left the room, drunk and all.
When Elly reached the bottom floor, she opened the door and peeked out. She was in the hallway she hid in before, when the bandits first attacked.
Elly looked around, trying to find something that could cause a good distraction. Her eyes landed on an expensive-looking vase.
Sorry, Auntie, Elly thought. She took her shoe off threw it at the vase, making it fall and shatter on the floor. Blue and white shards flew everywhere, and Elly quickly shut the door of the dumbwaiter. Already, she could hear feet thudding towards the spot she was in, although quite sloppily. She raised the dumbwaiter up to the second floor, but before she could get it up all the way, she heard a loud crack! Elly froze, and looked up where the noise came from. She could just see the large, metal, rusty cord of the dumbwaiter, with half of the rope snapped. Panic filled her, and she started to open the door. As more cracks! sounded, Elly saw the opening to the second floor. She grabbed onto it, just as the rope broke. The door pinched her hands on the opening, and Elly could tell that she couldn't hold on much longer.
***
The Yogscast waited on top of the stairs, waiting for the signal. The signal was when the bandits left the room.
They heard a crash! and the bandits went quiet. Then they stood up, with announcements like, 'what was that?' and 'let's check it out!'. The Yogscast members waited until all the bandits left the room, and snuck down the stairs, one step at a time.
Lewis was at the back, wanting everyone to go, and also to wait for Elly. They didn't want to leave anyone behind, let alone a fourteen year old.
Just as the last person was descending down the stairs, Lewis heard a crack! coming towards the dumbwaiter. Then a few more. He looked to the waiting Yogscasters at the bottom of the stairs.
"Wait here. I'm getting Elly." Lewis said, and the other three nodded. He made his way towards the dumbwaiter. And just in time.
***
Elly was hanging by her fingertips. She felt exhaustion creep in, and, just as she was about to let go, when hands lifted up the dumbwaiter and pulled her out. She hadn't even realized there were tears running down her face, or the blood trickling down her fingers.
Elly felt herself being lifted and carried. She felt herself bob up and down like whoever was carrying her was walking downstairs. She heard voices, familiar ones, and managed to wipe away her tears to see everything.
She realized there was everyone around her, looking concerned. Elly looked up, and saw that her savior was Lewis.
"Are you okay?" Hannah asked, concern.
Elly nodded. "Yeah. The dumbwaiter broke, and my fingers got pinched. Just a little scare."
"A little scare?! I'd have a heart attack!" Liam exclaimed.
Lewis set Elly down. "You can walk, right?" Elly nodded.
Then there was running. And talking. Looks like the bandits are back.
The group took off running like a lightening bolt. They heard bandits swearing and yelling threats at their backs.
The group found the front door, and ran into the night. The bandits started to shoot at them, but quite poorly, since they were drunk.
And the group ran into the night.
