Aaaaaaand, we are back in business! Sorry I haven't been uploading, if you haven't read my messages than I explain that I've been away camping for the past few days, and that's why there haven't been any updates.

Enjoy! (Maybe)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's been a few days after the battle with the bandits. They've been quiet, and hid away in the woods.

The remaining six buried Lyndi's and Martyn's body in the graveyard where John and Elly's parents are buried.

"There," Lewis said, holding a hand to his mouth and trying not to puke. "It's done."

They placed two sticks in the shape of a cross over each grave. It isn't much, but it's all they can do right now.

Tom was kneeling between each of the graves, unresponsive. This hit him worst of all.

"Let's go back to the house." Elly said quietly. She held her arms around herself as a gust of wind blew by. The sky was starting to grow dark, even though it was about noon. It looked like a storm was coming.

"Tom?" Hannah asked softly. The ginger didn't move.

"I saw them die...... right in front of me. Both of them. I feel like I could've done something....." Tom whispered, and everyone just barely heard him.

"It was inevitable. I don't think we could've saved them, even if we knew they were going to die." Liam said.

Tom didn't respond. It soon started to rain, and the rest of the group went inside.

"Don't stay out too long. You'll catch a cold." Elly warned. She always admired Sparkles* and his band, Area 11. She was never able to imagine a frown on the ginger's face. Now the image was implanted in her head.

Tom came inside an hour later, soaked to the bone, and locked himself in his bedroom. Nobody knows what he was doing, and many tried to talk to him. But the door was locked, and there was no response.

"What do you think he's doing up there?" Duncan asked. It's been three days since the death of Lyndi and Martyn. The only good thing that's happened is that the bandits had been quiet.

"I don't know, friend," Lewis answered. "Maybe this is his way of grieving."

The next day, Tom still locked himself in his room. Not much went on. Elly went outside to tend to the chickens, cows, and one horse.

"This one," Elly pointed to one of the chickens with a scar on his wing. "Got bitten by one of them. About a week before you came. It seems like animals aren't affected by the sickness, or whatever this whole thing is."

The group nodded and helped Elly take care of the animals. When they were feeding the cows, Elly ran up and jumped up and down in excitement.

"Guess what! Guess what!" Elly said, bouncing on her feet.

"What? What's happening?" Duncan asked.

"It's one of the cows! Matilda, I think my Aunt called her," Elly said, putting a finger on her lip in thought. "Anyways, I think she's pregnant!"

She lead the group to an older looking cow with an enlarged stomach. She layed on her side, occasionally mooing.

"See?" Elly asked, gleaming with excitement. "She's gonna have a baby!"

"You sure? It isn't like a tumor or something?" Lewis asked, uncertainty in his voice.

Elly stopped smiling and raised an eyebrow. "My Uncle and Aunt lived on this farm. They taught me about this kind of stuff incase I ever decided to live on a farm. I think I know what I'm talking about."

Everyone else laughed at the fourteen year old's outburst. She rolled her eyes while trying to hide her smile.

They headed back inside to prepare for dinner.

The group had the same thing they had for weeks; eggs and milk and bread. And they were getting low. Either someone had to start hunting or they had to start looting.

"Is Tom coming down?" Liam asked.

Hannah shook her head. "I brought some food up to him, but he wouldn't open the door."

Everyone was silent as they finished their meal.

***

The next day, everyone was just as silent, and just as bored as the day before.

Elly was watching TV(laptop connected to TV), while everyone else counted the weapons for the hundredth time.

She heard creaking on the stairs, and saw Tom walk down. He spared a quick glance at her, and Elly swore she saw a glimmer of panic and fear in his eyes. But he turned his head away.

Tom walked through the front door, and Elly just saw the handle of something he was holding out of her view. But she didn't say anything, or made a move to tell anyone.

A moment later, Duncan walked in.

"Hey, have you seen a pistol around here somewhere?" He asked.

Elly looked at him in disbelief. "You mean to say you lost a weapon?"

Duncan nodded sheepishly.

"Well, I ha-" She stopped suddenly as two and two fit together. Tom was holding something. Something with a handle and looked a lot like a pistol.

"Elly? You okay?" Duncan asked.

"Sparkles*!" Elly got up from the couch and ran to the door.

"What's going on, Elly?" Duncan asked after her.

Elly paused in the doorway. "I saw Sparkles* walking out the door with something in his hand. I think it was the gun."

"What's going on?" Liam walked into the room.

"Nilesy! Get everyone, now! Sparkles* has the gun, and he walked out here a few minutes ago!" With that, Elly ran out the door and after the ginger. Duncan ran after her.

Liam ran into the room and got everyone. They ran out and followed the other two.

They found Tom standing before the two graves, the pistol in his hand, back to them.

"Tom! What are you doing?!" Lewis yelled.

Tom turned around. He had tears running down his face and bags under his eyes like he hadn't slept for days. He looked pale, and his hand shook around the gun.

"What?" He asked coldly. "What do you want?"

"We want to know what is going on!" Hannah tried.

Tom glared at them. "There is nothing going on. Isn't it obvious?"

"Sparkles*," Elly said, hands over her mouth. "Don't." Tears rimmed her eyes as she saw the pale shadow of a man dipping into the depression that ran in her own family.

Tom shook his head. "I have to. I am responsible for both of them. They both died on my watch. It's all my fault...."

"It's not your fault!" Liam tried to reason. "It's nobody's fault! Death is a thing no one can avoid. It will catch up with all of us eventually. It's not your fault."

It tore at the group's hearts to see their friend in such a state of depression. It hurt even more to know that he was suffering and they did nothing to stop it.

"It's not just Martyn and Lyndi. It's everyone else, too. My band..... my family...... They're either dead or zombies. And Martyn and Lyndi died right next to me. Do you know how that feels? To have someone you care about die right in front of your eyes? They better be lucky they don't have to feel such pain the rest of the world is feeling right now. Their image is stuck in my head forever now. Whenever I close my eyes or go to sleep, they are right there. It's like I'm watching their deaths over and over again in my head. I can't take this anymore. I give up." Tom said as he raised the gun.

"Tom!" Lewis yelled. "Don't do this. Not to your friends or fans." He gestured to the Yogscast members, then to Elly.

Tom paused, seeming to contemplate this. Then he shook his head and said in a voice just above a whisper, "I can't." He raised the gun to his head, and shot in one quick movement. His body went limp and he fell to the group, blood pooling around his head. Elly screeched and covered her mouth with her hands as tears poured over her cheeks. Hannah wasn't far behind.

The guys stood there in shock. Tom, the one who was always joking and singing happy tunes, just killed himself out of depression.

Another death, another burial.
