WARNING: SAD SCENE

The next day, Tom and Lyndi were inseparable. They held hands under the table, they sat next to eachother; they all in all never left each other's side.
Elly made sure to keep quiet about their relationship, because she's not totally sure if they want to be found out. But still, they're acting all lovey-dovey in front of everyone, so it's not going to be a secret for long.
"You know what?" Elly suddenly said while everyone was sitting in the living room. Elly decided to play a random movie from Netflix.
"What?" Hannah asked.
"Dinner last night wasn't much," Elly continued. "I was saving steak in the back for a special occasion. I feel that this would be the right time. I also have my family's special dishes stored in the garage. We could have a feast tonight!"
"Are you sure? I mean, using your family's special dishes and steak on us?" Duncan asked.
Elly nodded. "Positive. I feel like this is the right time."
She showed the Yogscast members in the back of the house, where the steak was stored in a freezer. Hannah got it out and set the frozen pieces of meat in the sink to warm up. Duncan went out to get the fine dishes from the garage.
"How much steak do you have?" Hannah asked Elly as the two got ready to prepare the meal.
Elly shrugged. "Dunno. Usually my Uncle took care of getting the steak in the first place."
"You mean your Aunt and Uncle killed their own cows for meat?" Hannah asked.
"Yup. To save money. Although, they did buy some from the store then and again, and also to get the necessities like bottled water and spices. They were pretty rich before my Uncle had a heart attack a few years ago. He's my mom's older brother. After that, my dad came over once and a while to help my Aunt with the meat. Lucky guy got out before the world went to sh*t." Elly said, while grabbing a few spices out of a nearby cupboard.
"You talk in front of your parents like that?" Hannah teased.
Elly stuck her tongue out. "No. But like every teenager, we do stuff like that when the parents aren't near. And even worse things." She winked.
Hannah chuckled. "I guess nothing really matters now that the world did go to sh*t."
Suddenly, a loud crashing sound was heard. The two, with everyone else who was in the living room, ran outside to the front porch where the sound came from.
Duncan was on the stairs of the porch, with many sharp pieces of glass everywhere. The rug on the stairs looked ruffled.
"Duncan!" Liam said. "Are you okay?!"
Duncan got up. "Yeah....I'm alright. Sorry about the dishes, Elly."
He looked at Elly, but didn't get a respond. Elly was staring out at the woods, fear shining in her eyes. Everyone followed her gaze, but didn't see anything.
"What is it, Elly?" Lewis asked.
Elly blinked. "We have to hide. They know we're here, and we have to hide." Elly ran back into the house, followed by everyone. Duncan carefully stepped around the shards of glass and ran after them.
"Elly, what do you mean?" Lyndi asked.
"I mean the bandits. They heard us. I know they heard us." Elly turned around.
"Then we fight." Tom said. "We can take them with our weapons."
Elly nodded. "I have my own sniper. I could help-"
"You stay here." Lewis interrupted. "You need to hide while we take them. You're just a little girl."
"Who knows how to fight." Elly's fear from earlier dissipated into determination. "I know how to shoot. I could help."
"We'll take them." Liam said. "You hide in that dumbwaiter you told us about earlier."
Elly was about to retort, but a yell interrupted her once again.
"WE KNOW YOUR IN THERE! COME ON OUT!"
Martyn walked over and lightly put a hand on her shoulder. "Where's the dumbwaiter?"
Elly pouted, but removed a nearby painting, revealing a dumbwaiter. Martyn nodded and helped her get in the dumbwaiter.
"You stay here until they're gone, okay?" Martyn said.
Elly nodded.
Martyn shut the door, and was about to replace the painting when he heard Tom yell for him. Martyn walked into the living room where Tom was crouching next to a window, a pistol aiming out the slightly open window.
"Help me here, Martyn." Tom said. Martyn nodded and crouched next to the ginger.
Meanwhile, the others had gotten in their positions as well.
Lyndi had gotten to the roof with her bow and arrows. Lewis and Hannah had the dining room covered, their guns also out a slightly opened window. Duncan and Liam had sharp weapons ready, and guarding the house in case any of the bandits got inside.
"YOU CAN'T HIDE FROM US!" A bandit yelled.
"WE ARE COMING FOR YOU!" Another yelled.
"AIM YOUR WEAPONS! DREW, GET YOUR *SS READY TO GET IN!" Yelled another, obviously the one in charge.
"What are we going to do?" Martyn whispered Tom.
"I don't know." Tom whispered back.
Suddenly, an arrow flew from the roof of the house and landed through the bandit leader's skull. He fell backwards, while the rest of the bandits looked at eachother wildly.
"Hell, did you see that?!"
"Yeah, the little rat just blew Daren's brain out!"
"Holy crap," Martyn whispered. "Who would've thought that Lyndi could do that?"
"And did you hear them? 'Little rat'? They must think that Elly did that." Tom answered.
"Okay," One bandit yelled. "We'll go leaderless on this one. She's just young; we can take her out easily. Get 'round back!"
"Who made you leader?"
"Just listen, jack*ss, and maybe we'll have something to eat tonight."
The other bandit gritted his teeth but listened to other's orders. The group of bandits made their way to the back and sides of the house.
"Everyone get ready!" Lewis called.
Martyn shot out the first shot. He hit a bandit in the head just as they were coming towards the house. Then the rest of them started to fire shots. An arrow was seen once in a while, too.
Duncan and Liam tensed as they heard the bandits hitting the windows. They each took different rooms, taking care of bandits as they came through. Well, they tried.
Duncan hit one just as he came through the window with a pointy hand garden tool used for plowing a small garden. The spikes sunk down into the man's skull with a sickening crunch. Blood ran down onto the beige carpet. Duncan took his weapon out of the man's head as more bandits came through the others windows.
Liam was having the same problem. He was using a shovel, and one bandit lay at his feet with a crushed head. A puddle of blood has formed around him.
"I think I'm going to need help here, Dunc!" Liam called.
"Uh, I could use some help, too!" Came the reply.
"Sh*t." Liam said, and continued to swing at the bandits.
One bandit managed to slip away from the guards, and crouched through the house. He stopped as he saw a dumbwaiter.
"Well, well, well," He muttered as he opened up the door.
Elly sat there, eyes wide with hate and fear. The bandit laughed and grabbed her hair, and the fourteen year old screamed. The bandit covered her mouth, though. Elly kicked and clawed at the man's arm. Then she managed to bite down on the man's hand. Hard. The man yelled and swore venomously and stepped away. Just enough time for Elly to grab something from the dumbwaiter.
When the bandit looked up, he was faced with a small sniper pointed at him. It was covered with purple and pale yellow camouflage.
Before he could grab it, Elly shot, and the man slumped to the floor with a bullet hole just above his left eye.
Elly walked out to the two rooms where Duncan and Liam were quickly getting overwhelmed with the amount of bandits in the room. And there were still more outside!
Elly began to help by shooting the bandits if they were too much to handle for the other two, or if they simply got too close.
Martyn, Tom, Lewis, Lyndi, and Hannah continued to shoot at the bandits outside. There were many corpses on the ground.
Martyn looked over his shoulder to the back of the house when the first gunshot sounded.
"Did you hear that?" He asked.
Tom nodded and just moved his eyes to Martyn. "Yeah. But I thought the bandits only had crossbows? And we didn't give any guns to Duncan or Liam, did we?"
Martyn shrugged and began to turn back around. Right when he did, though, an arrow came flying through the open window and went through Martyn's head. Right in the center of his forehead an arrow stuck out, and the blonde man fell to the floor, eyes still open.
"HOLY SH*T!" Tom yelled. He sat up abruptly and ran into the room with Lewis and Hannah.
"What happened?" Lewis asked.
"Martyn! An arrow.... came in and...... he's......" Tom was panicking. He never actually saw someone die right next to him. Some blood even splattered on his shirt.
"Oh god....." Lewis said.
"I know this is bad, but can we save the mourning until after the bandits get off our backs?" Hannah said.
Lewis nodded and crouched back down and pointed his gun. Tom went back to the room, and tried not to look at the corpse.
After about half an hour of shooting, the bandits seemed to die down a bit. Some, the smarter ones, went back into the woods to plan. The rest were either dead or hiding somewhere.
Lyndi came down from the roof.
"I ran out of arrows. Does anyone have any? Or could spare a gun?" Lyndi asked.
"I think my Uncle had one in his room. I'll have to go check." Elly said.
"This kid just saved our butts." Duncan said.
"Yeah. She came out with her gun and shot the bandits as they came in." Liam added.
Lyndi looked at Elly. She ruffled her hair. "Good work, kid."
Elly smiled shyly and didn't say anything.
The people from the front of the house came back to where everyone else was. They looked pale, Tom being the most.
"What happened? Where's Martyn?" Duncan asked.
Tom sighed. "An arrow came through the window, and........ hit him.....right next to me....."
"I'm sorry you had to see that happen." Lyndi said.
Tom looked up, and his eyes widened. A figure moved closer up to Lyndi, holding something sharp that gleamed.
"LYNDI!" Tom yelled.
Before Lyndi could react, the figure grabbed her head and sliced her throat with the knife. She fell to the floor, blood pouring out of the cut.
Tom was outraged. He walked over to the bandit, and pushed him down with so much force, not even Tom could believe it. Then he raised his gun and shot the bandit through the jaw.
He dropped the gun, and turned around to Lyndi's side. Lyndi had her hands on her throat and gurgle and spluttered. Blood dripped from her mouth, and she started to choke on her own blood.
"Lyndi," Tom said. "Don't you dare die on me. Don't you dare."
Lyndi looked at him with eyes filled with fear and pain. Everyone else gathered around them, watching with sorrow, tears dripping down their faces. They cried for both of the lives that would be lost on this day.
Lyndi raised a blood-covered hand up to Tom's cheek. She moved her mouth, but no sound came out.
"What?" Tom said, voice barely above a whisper. He leaned down and had his ear above her mouth.
"I..... love.... you...." She managed to whisper out.
Tom was on the verge of tears. He put his arms around Lyndi's head and put his mouth next to her ear.
"I love you too, now you will live and be alright, okay?" He whispered in her ear as tears streamed down his face. There was no response from Lyndi. She went limp in his arms.
Tom pulled back. Lyndi's eyes were glazed over, and no breath escaped her lips. Her chest did not rise and fall. There was no heart beat.
Tom sat there with Lyndi in his arms and sobbed. The rest looked on in silence.
