Lunch was served a half hour after that. Eggs, toast, and milk.

"It's like I'm eating breakfast." Lewis said.

"It's what I've been living on." Elly said again.

They all sat around a dining room table, scrambled eggs, buttered toast, and glasses of milk at each seat. And Elly couldn't stop talking.

"Whenever I have nothing to do, I watch your most funniest videos!" Elly said around a piece of toast. "Like, the Santa Claus statue! I can still hear Sips plain and clear, 'Why is the belt below his *ss?!'." Elly managed to laugh while not choking.

"I wonder how Chris is doing." Liam wondered aloud.

Elly stopped laughing. "I'm sure he's fine. Just because we haven't seen him, doesn't mean he isn't still fighting like we are."

"That's right. Maybe Joakim and Zoey are fighting, too. We just have to hope that they're alright." Duncan said.

They ate in silence.

It's 11 pm. Everyone had gone to bed besides Tom and Lyndi. They sat on the couch, watching the TV/computer. Elly taught them how to connect her laptop to the TV.

Lyndi yawned. "I'm bored." She stretched her legs on top of Tom's lap.

Tom raised an eyebrow. Lyndi shrugged. Suddenly, Tom grabbed onto Lyndi's ankle, then used his other hand to tickle her bare foot. Lyndi covered her mouth from laughing. She didn't want the others to wake up.

Lyndi tossed and turned and tried to stop Tom from tickling her foot.

Once Tom stopped, the two realized that Lyndi managed to wiggle her way on top of Tom's lap. Tom's hand was on her knee with an arm around her shoulders. Lyndi had grabbed onto his shirt sleeve.

The two stared at each other in the silence. Then Lyndi leaned in and crushed their lips together. Tom went along with it and move his hand onto her waist. Lyndi moved her hand through his hair.

"I see you two are getting comfy in my house."

Lyndi and Tom looked up and saw Elly standing in the doorway of the living room. She had her arms crossed and leaned on the door frame.

"Uh," Lyndi said, taking one leg off of Tom's lap. "We were just-"

"You don't have to explain." Elly interrupted. She chuckled a little. "It's almost as awkward as the time I walked in on my parents when- never mind. I'm just getting a glass if water then going back to bed. You too stay comfy." Elly winked and walked to the kitchen.

Tom and Lyndi sat in silence for a moment. Then Lyndi got up. She held a hand out to Tom, who took it. He stood up.

"Lyndi-" Tom began.

"Shh," Lyndi said. She wrapped her arms around his waist. Then she pecked him on the lips. "How about we continue this upstairs?"

Tom chuckled and followed the blonde up the stairs.

Once they were upstairs, Elly appeared eyes wide. She shivered.

"I will never understand adults. Never." She shook her head and went upstairs with a glass of water and fell asleep.
