Chelsea got up from the floor and rubbed the back of her head. The powerful shove that the girls performed on her, was a killer. She walked out of the room and tried to look for a trace of the girls. She found nothing and with her speed she took off back to campus.
Chelsea threw her hospital badge on the bed as she got in and locked the door. She sat on her bed and put her hands in her hair, she bit her bottom lip to stop it trembling... But nothing could stop the tears. They poured out like a waterfall, the memories flashed through her thoughts and then she got up. She stood up from her bed and sniffed, she walked over to her mirror and looked at her reflection. Her make-up had run all down her face. She spoke to herself "I can't keep crying. I have to move on..." She wiped the remaining tears from her face and tied her hair up and decided to go for a run.
She ran round campus, a couple of times maybe a good ten circuits. Just to try and get the thoughts out of her mind. As she listened to her music, she kinda just left everyone else to it until she saw a girl standing in the middle of the football field, on her own. Chelsea moved to her closer, and stopped a few feet behind her. The girl looked like she was wet, her clothes dripping from water. Chelsea moved closer and put her hand on the girls shoulder it was until she lifted her hand and saw the red liquid on her palm. The girl turned around and smirked holding a knife to her arms and cutting them letting the blood drip. Chelsea felt her fangs come down and she couldn't resist the urge she lunged straight for the girls wounded neck and sucked the blood, she felt as the warm blood filled her mouth and the power she felt as the blood flowed through her body. She sucked the blood more and more until she ripped herself away and watched as the girl's lifeless body drop to the floor. The sound of a gasp behind her made Chelsea whip her body around and saw 3 more people look at the aftermath. Chelsea looked at them, and hissed.
"Oh my god what have you done?"
"I'm so hungry..."
"What are you?" One girl shrieked and blinked, the other two people who was with her were now on the floor not moving and Chelsea showed her veins underneath her eyes. She hissed once again and threw herself towards the girl and bit into her neck, ripping through the skin one piece at a time until she got to the main artery and drank from it. Chelsea lifted her fangs from the girls neck and pushed her dead body to the floor, she breathed out. "I'm tired of being the sensible one." Chelsea slowly walked away from the bodies and disappeared into the night, she walked down the road and hailed a cab.
She smirked as she slid in the car and leaned forward. "I'm glad you were driving about."
"Where to miss?" The driver faced her and saw watched as her face changed. "What the hell?!"
"Don't speak. I'm so hungry and I can't resist." She brought her hand forward and sliced her fingernail across the side of cheek and watched as the blood trickled slowly from the cut. She lifted her finger and took some blood sucking on her finger. "Don't react and don't shout." She grabbed him by the neck and pulled him into the back of the cab and bit into his neck sucking his blood.
"Was that okay Miss?"
"That was wonderful..." Chelsea looked at the badge around his neck and wiped it revealing his name. "Jimmy." She bit into her wrist and held it out to him. "Take some of my blood and you can heal right up and then we can go." She gave Jimmy her blood and let him get out and sit back in the drivers seat.
"Where to?"
"Chicago." She smiled and leaned back into the seat and relaxed.
Oliver sat on the couch, gripping his phone after trying to call Chelsea multiple times but she never answered, he left her tons of voice messages yet they were never answered. One more time he would try...
"Chelsea, it's me Oliver. Can we meet and I'll explain everything. Please it's been 2 days, call me back."
"Still nothing?" Alex popped her head through to check on him, she watched a he shook his head. "She'll come around just give her time..."
"I don't know Alex, I've really messed up this time."
"It will all be resolved soon... Trust me."
"When will you be leaving?" He asked abruptly.
"You still hate my presence? Even after all these months... Oh come on Oliver..."
"Well since you've helped me in the last few months... I can't hate you. I just want to know why you're here."
"I have my reasons... And I'm not going to tell you."
"Fine..." A knock at the door and then someone barging into his home made Alex and Oliver stand up next to each other. Zoey came through the door and stood there silently. "Zoey? What the hell made you force your way in?"
"We have a problem.."
"What sort of problem? If it's college drama I don't need to hear it." Alex interjected while Oliver stood and listened.
"Go on..."
"3 bodies were found on the football grass this morning... All drained of blood."
"What?" Alex and Oliver said in unison.
"Did anyone see?" Zoey nodded.
"Everyone found out this morning, we got sent away from the scene as soon as the principle got there. I followed them back quietly and listened in on the conversation. They know about vampires... And they know they have some on campus."
"What? How do they know?" Zoey shrugged her shoulders and grimaced.
"I don't know but we need to find Chelsea and tell her." They all nodded and rushed off to campus to find her.
"She's not here? Her bed hasn't even been touched." Zoey spoke as she walked about her dorm room. Alex crouched down next to the mini fridge and opened it, all the blood bags that she brought with her at the start of college was still in there, untouched. "What's happened to her?"
"I don't know... But we need to find her this instant." Oliver looked at the girls and folded his arms over his chest.
"Thanks for the ride..." She threw Jimmy some dollar bills and strutted away. Chicago, the first place she called home all them years ago... And it felt weird being back to where she grew up. She looked around into the night and saw every building lit up brightly, the streets full of people. She ran through the city fast and came to her old building. Chelsea punched through the glass door and ran into the building, flying up the stairs back to her old place, and standing outside the door one snap and the door unlocked and slipped into the empty apartment. She felt nothing being in the main room, a place where if she actually did feel something then it probably would of been at ease, content. But Chelsea decided to throw that away and leave her old self back in Pennsylvania along with her old friends. She looked around the place, it had been decaying for years. It still had the old decor that her father put up all them years ago... This place hadn't been touched in forever. She whipped her head around when she heard the sound of footsteps and then a flashlight shone into the room. Chelsea crept into the darkest corner of the room and watched as the security guard shone the light around finding nothing.
"Must of been them kids again... There's nothing here." He spoke into the radio that was in his head. He spun around and Chelsea was standing right in his face... The security guard held onto the button and spoke gently as he watched Chelsea. She smiled viciously and bared her fangs hissing at him and hearing his scream run through the room.
"Jeff! Jeff! What's going on?!" The voice on the other end of the radio was calling out. "I'm coming up there! Jeff answer me!" Chelsea bit into his neck, sucking the blood chewing and gorging on his warm blood, she ripped at his clothes and pulled at his tie, letting it get tighter around his neck. Jeff gasped and coughed as his breathing became less and less. Chelsea continued to attack him as she pulled him over to the big window. She pulled back and looked at her reflection, she let him go and watched as he tried to get the tie loose from around his neck, Chelsea looked at him the sheer terror on his face made her chuckle, Chelsea moved a step closer to him, and Jeff continued to move back, placing his bloody hands on the window leaving a stain on the glass. Chelsea stood back and watched him, he cried out and then she lifted her leg, with full force she kicked him in the stomach so hard his body shattered the glass and tipped through the window and down the side of the building, Chelsea moved to the edge and watched as his body fell fast through the air and saw as Jeff landed on the floor with an almighty thump, she smirked and wiped the remaining blood off her mouth and left the building.
Days passed and the murders continued yet Chelsea was never found out. She walked along the streets of Chicago the city in full swing of a Friday night, she turned the corner and saw a bunch of people heading into a nightclub so she followed. The music flowed through the building, the walls and the floor vibrating from the loud music. Chelsea walked up to the bar and ordered her drinks, drinking the alcohol straight and letting it burn as she swallowed. She danced with girls and she danced with men throughout the night and when she got hungry she just compelled a few people and drank some of their blood... Being a vampire was easy especially when she didn't have anyone looking over her watching her every move. She glided through the dance floor, strutting herself over to a guy who had stared at her all night. She stood in front of him and smirked, she took the shot glass that he handed to her and knocking it back letting the liquid slide down her throat. He got closer to her, placing his hand on her throat and caressing her cheek. It wasn't too long before they were kissing passionately, she pulled him with a force closer to her body, ruffling up his shirt and scratching his skin. They parted and then she smiled darkly. "I'm Chelsea." She held her hand out.
"Seth." He replied back to her, shooting her with a seductive smile.
He pushed her against the wall, outside the club, running his hands through her hair, pulling her head back so she was moaning out in pleasure as he assaulted her mouth with kisses. She ripped his shirt open and unbuckled his trousers, he trailed kisses down her neck, biting every once in a while. She whipped him around so he was against the wall, slow enough for him not to catch on. She bent down, kissing his torso, letting her hands guide her further down. She looked up from the floor and smiled at him, Seth watched her with wide eyes as she seduced him. She raised up from the floor, wiping her mouth she looked at him in the face and then showed her vampire face, showing him the veins that became prominent underneath her eyes, the fans that lowered from her gums and she hissed. She watched as Seth transformed in front of her, also showing her the vampire face. Chelsea moved back a little and watched as he retracted his fangs and smiled at her. "I'm sure you would've guessed that I wasn't human in the club?" Seth spoke gently, buttoning up his pants and zipping his fly.
"I was a little busy." She winked and bite her bottom lip, she moved closer to him again, he spun around and pushed her against the wall. "Plus I wouldn't of guessed because we were having so much fun out here." She stuck her tongue out.
"You're different to the ones I've met."
"Hey, you'll never find someone like me ever again.."
"How long you in the city?"
"However long I wanna be." She replied back, scooping her hair to the side as she looked at him in the face.
"Come with me." He grabbed her hand and walked out of the alleyway and ran with her through the town.
"Where are we going?" She shouted as they ran through the city. They stopped outside a black building with red writing.
"We are going to a real club, one that a emotionless vampire will absolutely love."
"How did you know?"
"Honey seriously? I'm a decades old vampire, I can easily pick up on the traits." He tutted and with their speed they ran off into the bustling city.
"Welcome to First bite." He held his hands out and showed her the club. Chelsea scoffed and shook her head.
"First bite? Really?"
"Hey I didn't name the club!" He held his hands up and chuckled. "Hey bud! How's it going?"
"You alright Seth. Not too bad. We got some new ones tonight."
"That's great!"
"Who's your lady friend?" The man who stood at the door asked, looking directly into her eyes.
"This is Chelsea. She's a 'first bite virgin'."
"I'll need to see proof." Chelsea nodded and pulled up her sleeve, with her sharpest nail on her finger she sliced her wrist and within three seconds she healed completely. That's all Bud needed and then he scooted to the side and let them in. Chelsea walked into the club and was surrounded by dark low lights and seductive music. She followed Seth to a corner and sat down opposite him. He held up a menu and scanned through.
"Drink?"
"Is that a trick question?"
"Nope, but they also do alcoholic beverages which I order before the girls arrive."
"Girls?"
"Have you never heard of these clubs before?" Chelsea shook her head. "I thought a vampire like yourself would've been to one before. How long have you been emotionless?"
"3 days."
"Oh wow you newbie." Chelsea laughed. "Heads up, after a while you don't really ever get it back, it's all a lie when you get older."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean the more years you have your humanity off, the normal it becomes. You don't ever change after like let's say... Someone turns it off as soon as they turn, then they realise they don't want to be a cold bitch so they try to turn it on again but nothing happens. So you're stuck like it."
"Have you?"
"Once or twice yeah."
"Are you drinking?" A waitress came up a few seconds after and introduced herself.
"I'll have a bourbon neat." Seth said gently looking at the girl, she looked at Chelsea next and waited for her to choose.
"I'll have the same." She smiled at the girl.
"Okay great. We have new flavours in town tonight, so choose which ones suits your fancy. I'll let you have test of each one."
"Brilliant thanks Candy." Seth smiled and watched her walk off. Chelsea excused herself from the table and went to the bathroom. As she looked at herself in the mirror her phone started to buzz. She answered it and placed in on her ear.
"Chelsea? Chelsea Thank god it's me Zoey!" Chelsea stayed silent. "Chelsea are you there? The phones picked up but No one is answering. Wait here give me the phone." She heard Olivers voice sound and then his voice on the other end.
"Chelsea it's Oliver. Where are you? If you need help we'll help you."
"What get betrayed once again by my so called best friend, ex boyfriend and doppelgänger. Pfft I don't think so."
"Chelsea listen, tell me where you are and I'll explain everything."
"Nah, I don't need an explanation I don't care anymore."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, I don't care what happens now. I'm done with my old life."
"That's it Chelsea I've had it. I'm coming to find you." Chelsea chuckled down the phone darkly and waited for Oliver to reply.
"What's so funny Chelsea?"
"Oh Oliver. If only you knew where I was. Have fun trying to find me."
"Oh don't you worry Chelsea I will."
"Catch me if you can Oliver... Catch me if you can." She laughed and ended the call, snapping the phone in half and throwing it into one of the toilet bowls before going out of the bathroom back to Seth.
