We were all so worn out from the last game. Only 16 of us were left. The guards told us to get into pairs. "See you soon." I said to Ivy. She smiled. Ivy decided to go with Ellen. I went with Arthur. The other 12 people went with their friends too. We entered a room with about 20 cubicles. Each pair was put in one cubicle. The guard then said, "Today you will be playing marbles with your partner. Try and knock out as many marbles from the square as possible. After 10 rounds, the player with the most marbles will win, and the player with the least will get eliminated."

Arthur and I stared at each other. We both made a great mistake. "Oh my goodness.." He muttered. "One of us aren't going to make it out." I said. "The same with Ivy and Ellen." He replied. "I have to let you win." Said Arthur. "Hang on now." I replied. "That's not fair." Arthur shook his head. "Promise me, that if you win, you'll give some money to my family." A tear rolled down my cheek. "I promise." Arthur took the first shot. He missed on purpose. We heard a gunshot go off. One player gone. It was my turn. I knocked out a marble. Eventually, at the tenth round, Arthur had no marbles. I made my shot and knocked one out.

Arthur cried. "Promise me." He said. I nodded. "I promise." I whimpered. The guard next to us pointed the gun at Arthur's head. I closed my eyes. Bang. I left the room and went to the main hall. I crossed my fingers. "Ivy, come on.." I stuttered. Eventually there were 6 players in the room. Two more to go. Another player came in. They were all crying. The next person to come in would be Ivy. It had to be. A tall woman the entered the room.

Ellen.

"NOOOO!" I screamed. Ellen looked at me and burst into tears. I tried to tackle her, but the guards pulled me back. I was fuming with rage. "I'm sorry." She lisped. The guards voice came through the intercom. "Out of the 16 players that participated, only 8 survived."
