We made our way to the third game. "Tug a war." We were allowed to split into teams of 33. There was 4 teams. One girl got to stay out of the game because the amount of players was odd. Arthur and I formed a team with Ivy, Ellen and some of the other strong players. Our teams was one of the first to play. We were against a very strong team too, but we had the brains, Arthur. Arthur was at the front of the team, since he was the strongest. Ivy and I were put at the back since we were also strong. Ellen, one of the weaker ones was put in the middle. The guard then explained to us, "Welcome to your fourth game, tug-a-war. You are split into two teams. You have to try and pull the other team into the water below. The water will rise throughout the whole game, so if one team doesn't fall in, you both die."

I looked back at Ivy. I could tell she was nervous. Arthur seemed very confident that we could win. We then started. The other team was winning. "Come on, pull!" Arthur screamed. The water started rising. I pulled as hard as I could. I got severe rope burn. "We aren't going to win this!" Ivy screeched. "They're too strong!" The other men on our team were about to give up too. "Take three steps forward when I say!" Arthur yelled. "Are you crazy?!" Yelled Ivy. "No, not crazy. Smart." He replied. "But-" Said Ellen. "Just do as I say!" He screamed. "Now!" He said at the top of his lungs, the other team fell back onto their pad. "Pull!" We all said. We pulled and pulled, and eventually the team slipped off the edge and into the rising water.

Because of the impact, Ivy tripped and fell over the edge. "AHHHHHHH!!!" She screamed. I dashed to the end and grabbed her hand. "I've got you!" I said. "All of you, help us!" I said to my teammates. They all tugged, and eventually Ivy was pulled up. The water was a good 5 feet below us now. "We won! Now let us out!" Screamed Arthur. "If you want to live, you're going to have to climb that rope to the roof!" Yelled the guard on the intercom. Ellen climbed up first, followed by some other people, Ivy and I. Suddenly, a man above us fell off the rope, and hit Ivy on the way down.

The man fell into the water and was pulled down. I grabbed Ivy's hand as she slipped. "I can't hold you!" I screamed. Ivy fell, hitting more people on the way. About six more people fell into the water. Arthur grabbed Ivy as she fell, and put his arm around her. Ellen then reached the platform above, followed by men. We then looked at the timer. 5 seconds left. Artur threw Ivy up to us, she screamed, and Ellen pulled her up to the platform. "Arthur!" Ellen yelled. It was 1 second left. Arthur pushed his whole body upwards, scrambling up the others. I put out my hand and grabbed Arthur's. The rope then snapped, and all of the others fell to their deaths.

I pulled Arthur up. He patted me on the back. "Arthur! Are you okay?" Asked Ellen. "I'm fine." He answered. It was only the four of us. Out of the 66 of us that played in that match, only four made it out alive. We then left the room and went back to the main room. We watched as the other group of 66 people went out. After about 30 minutes, 12 of them came back.

The head guards voice then came through the intercom. "Out of the 131 players that participated, only 16 survived." We then realised that the woman that got to skip the game because it was an odd number, was eliminated too. "Please make your way to your next game, marbles."
