You gathered the rest of your things and started walking towards the landing platform towards your ship. The rest of the squad was already there waiting for you.

"About time," Wrecker said jokingly, grabbing your things and throwing them in the ship for you, "Echo was ready to leave without you."

Echo snapped his head around in shock and tried to stutter an explanation.

You chuckled, "my apologies, I needed to speak with master Kenobi."

"We are precisely on schedule," Tech said motioning for everyone to hurry into the ship, "I have already begun the takeoff sequence and we are ready to depart."

"Easy, Tech," Hunter said as you all sat down and strapped in, "we will make it in time to reinforce General Billaba."

"You misunderstand," Tech continued, focusing on taking off, "my primary motivation for leaving the planet is to avoid another encounter with anyone on the jedi counsel."

Your smile faded, "and why is that?"

"Because at any moment they could take the mission away, and I am looking forward to seeing the darksaber in person," Tech explained, a slight blush appeared on his cheeks.

Your smile returned but you said nothing, instead closing your eyes as you felt the ship take off and fly into space. You had a moment of rest from the quick ascent before the ship was pulled into lightspeed and you were surrounded by white and blue as you travelled across the galaxy.

Once the ship stabilized, you all unbuckled yourselves and began to walk about the cabin and all settled into the common area. Hunter sat in the corner sharpening his knife. Wrecker lounged at the table, eating snacks and relaxing. Crosshair was crouched against the wall cleaning his gun. Tech sat at the table typing away at his datapad. Echo was leaning back in a chair with his eyes closed. But you sat directly in the middle of the common area cross-legged and began to meditate.

You found it was soothing to meditate in the company of your squad, their presence gave you a feeling of security and peace. They were always respectful of your meditation, staying as quiet as possible and allowing you to relax.

Once you reached into the force, you were immediately transported to the vision you had earlier. You relived the vision once again, but it was just as traumatizing as the first time. You came back to reality hunched over on the floor and gasping for air.

Hunter was at your side in an instant supporting your weight so you could focus on breathing. "(Y/N), are you alright?" he asked, concerned.

You finally caught your breath and sat up. Hunter let you go, but stayed at your side. "Yes, I am fine thank you," you assured him, but no one looked convinced.

"The was quite a lot of gasping for being all right," Crosshair said from the wall, setting down his gun and giving you his full attention.

"You were only meditating for 20 minutes," Tech said setting his datapad down for a moment, "according to my logs, you usually meditate for at least 45 minutes before each mission."

"Thanks for that, Tech," you said sarcastically, sitting up, but remaining on the floor.

"Are you going to tell us what has been bothering you," Hunter asked, settling in next to you. There was no anger in his voice, only concern. "You have been off all morning, something is obviously troubling you."

"You are too observant for your own good," you said, a humorless chuckle escaping you.

No one said anything, they all just leaned in waiting for you to speak. You sighed, "I had a vision this morning, one that I was not supposed to share..." you continued and recounted your vision in every detail to your squad despite Master Yoda's warning. There was something about the batch that made you safe, something that made you trust them, and there was no secret you were willing to keep from them.

After you finished, you looked up waiting for someone to say something. To your surprise it was Wrecker who broke the silence, "well what does that mean?"

Hunter shushed him, but you smiled up at him, "that's the problem, Wrecker, I have no idea what it means."

"But you're a jedi," Wrecker insisted, "you're supposed to know everything."

Hunter shot him a warning look and shushed him again, but you just smiled, "I wish that were true."

Hunter stood up and held his hand for you and you took it, "I am sure you will figure out what it means, but know we will be watching your back, no matter what comes."

You smiled at all of them and placed a grateful hand on Hunter's shoulder, "I know, thank you."

You all spent a while making idle chit chat and playing sabacc with the batch. Suddenly Tech stood up after glancing at his datapad, "you might want to strap in, we are coming out of hyperspace."

You all made your way to the cockpit and you took a place in the co-pilot seat next to Tech. You emerged out of lightspeed with a jolt and hovered over the planet Kaller.

You pulled out your communication device and tried contacting Master Billaba. As a hologram appeared on your wrist communicator, it revealed a young male in jedi robes, you knew it had to be Caleb Dume, Master Billaba's padawan.

"Master (Y/N), am I glad to hear from you," young Caleb said, relieved.

"Caleb, send me your coordinates and we will land near your position," you instructed.

He nodded and moments later you received his coordinates, Tech looked over your shoulder and started moving the ship towards their location.

"Master?" Caleb asked, "I am not sure you will be able to find a place to land a starfighter near us."

"Not to worry, young one," you said with a smile, "we did not bring a starfighter."

Caleb looked confused, "I thought we were getting a battalion of reinforcements?"

"Unfortunately, this is all the republic could spare for you," you explained, "we are all you are getting."

Caleb nodded in understanding. "Keep your locator beacon on and we will be at your position shortly," you explained.

"Yes, master," Caleb said before you shut off the hologram and turned your attention back out the window of the ship. Kaller was a forest planet, but at this time of year it was frozen and covered in snow.

You came up on Caleb's location and motioned to a clearing just south of their position. "Land of there Tech, we will have to meet them on foot," you instructed.

The ship touched down and you all immediately grabbed your gear. Caleb came running to you, he must have seen you fly overhead.

"Master!" he shouted, "Master Billaba and the remains of our troops are pinned down by the droids behind some rocks about 2 clicks north of here."

"Boys, circle around the sides of their location and clear a path for them," you said, nodding for Hunter to take the lead. "Caleb, go back and tell Master Billaba that help is on the way and to stay secured behind the rocks until they clear a path."

Caleb nodded, "yes master," without hesitation he ran off back the way he came and disappeared through the trees.

Your squad had already moved out to take their positions and to clear a path. You found a small mountain and began climbing it to get a better view.

Once you reached the top you looked out and saw Master Billaba and her troops pinned down exactly like Caleb had described. You watched as his small figure appeared next to his master as he explained the situation and they all peaked out from behind the rocks to see what was happening.

You looked around and focused in on the locations of your squad. Crosshair chose a high vantage point behind a tree and had his gun at the ready. Wrecker and Tech were on the east side of the battlefield, behind a few trees and Echo and Hunter were on the west side.

"In position," Hunter's voice came over your comlink.

"Move in," you ordered.

The batch immediately emerged from their hiding places and began systemically destroying the droid army. You stood up and used the force to move droids and protect the backs of your squad. Once most of the droids were clear the batch relaxed but you say a super battle droid sneaking up behind Hunter.

He sensed it and turned around with his gun raised, but you had already pushed off with the force and landed behind the droid, cutting it in half with your green lightsaber.

The droid fell to pieces and you stood up, turning off your saber and placing it back on your belt. "Thanks," Hunter said, giving you a moment to fall into step with him.

In the middle of the clearing, the batch and Master Billaba's forces stood waiting for you. "That was quite impressive," she admitted with a respectful nod, "my padawan's faith in you was not misplaced."

"You have the forces on the run, but you should continue an assault," Hunter explained.

"The General gives orders here," Master Billaba's commander, Blye, said.

Master Billaba held her hand up, "he is right."

"Master, could I go with them?" Caleb asked excitedly.

Master Billaba laughed, "only if Master (Y/N) is willing to look after you."

Caleb looked at you expectantly and you smiled at him, "I have to return to the ship and report to the counsel, but Commander Hunter is more than capable of looking after him," you explained.

He jumped up excitedly and ran to stand next to you and Hunter, "you think you can keep up kid?" Hunter asked teasingly.

"Yes!" Caleb responded.

"Hunter, I will meet you at the sepratist command center," you said, making sure he got the hint to remember their primary objective.

"Copy that, general," he said with a nod. You watched them run off towards the retreating droids.

"You have quite the padawan," you mentioned to Master Billaba.

"Yes, I have quite enjoyed teaching him," she mused watching them run away.

You smiled at her, "I have to return to our ship, but you and your forces should continue on the other way in case there are any stragglers."

She nodded, "I agree." She turned to her commander, "Commander Blye, we will make our way east and make sure we did not miss any forces."

"Yes general," he responded.

"May the force be with you, master," you called after her and you walked towards the ship.

"And with you," she called back with a smile.

As you got to the edge of the clearing you felt a disturbance in the force, a cold suffocating feeling, the one from your vision. You regained you breath and searched the clearing only to see the clones surrounding and shooting at Master Billaba.

Without thinking, you quickly ran to her aid, but the clones saw you coming and turned to fire at you. You were so caught off guard by this turn of events that you were not able to block all of the shots, and one hit you right in the shoulder causing you to pause.  Several other shots found you but none were fatal.

You fell to the ground in a moment of pain before standing back up and trying to make it to Master Billaba's side.

"Run," she shouted at you as she repeatedly missed blocking bullets.

You ignored her and kept running, slower now because of your injuries. "Run!" she shouted again.

Master Billaba used the last of her strength to reach into the force and push you back. She managed enough strength to push you all the way back to the treeline before she fell to the ground and was continued to be shot at.

Tears stung your eyes at the sacrifice of the master. The adrenaline masked the pain in your body so you were able to slowly make your way back to the relative safety of your ship.

Making it back was not easy and by the time you reached it, you were exhausted and the pain returned. You pushed through supplies messily and pulled out some medical supplies and tried to patch yourself up quickly. Once finished you rested your head back on the wall of the ship completely exhausted.

Several times you tried reaching into the force, but were met with more cold feelings and screams of Jedi across the galaxy. Something had happened, and you were not sure what it was, but you pulled yourself back to reality and tried to ignore the sickening defeated feeling.
