Somewhere outside an Abandoned Eggman empire bunker...

As Tangle and her team approach the abandoned bunker, they notice the eerie quietness surrounding the area. Whisper, Y/N, and Alex all move with caution, knowing that the slightest misstep could mean disaster.

Whisper begins surveying the perimeter looking for any alternative ways in except the front door.

Tangle: Sneak-Sneak-Sneak.

Whisper falls to the floor stressed by Tangles actions. Whisper takes her mask off.

Whisper: Tangle, please. This isn't a game. We need to stay focused and alert. 

 Tangle: Sorry.

Meanwhile Y/N is drawing a replica of the base in the dirt while Alex is laying back on a tree messing with the knife he took.

Whisper notices Y/N's drawing and nods in appreciation, impressed by their analytical skills. She takes a closer look at the drawing, trying to identify any potential weaknesses in the structure. 

 Tangle: Good thinking, Y/N. This will help us plan our approach. 

Whisper: No activity outside. Can't scan inside.

Tangle: So, that's good right? We're clear to go in there?

Alex: Were walking into his trap blind. He has every advantage.

Tangle: PFFFT! He invited us here! Yeah, he knows were coming but we got him backed up in a corner.

Alex raises an eyebrow.

Tangle: A corner he has control over, I get it. Would it be better to back off then? Try and find him another time?

Whisper: No. Now or never have to risk it.

Tangle: So, we'll be careful.

Whisper frowns. 

Tangle: Relax your gonna give yourself an Ulcer. Besides, you seem to know how this guy operates. He seemed to think you where something called a "Diamond Cutter". I'm assuming you two have history.

Whisper grunts with guilt before adjusting her mask over her face.

Whisper: yes

Alex: Touchy subject got it. "He says as he flips the knife around." Anything we need to know about him before going in?

Whisper: He's dangerous, manipulative be on guard.

Y/N (Sign): Got it!

Cut to Mimic watching the 4 through a window walking cautiously towards the front door.

Mimic: You scouted every angle, and found no other way in. So here you come walking through the front door. This must be torture for you. And you brought that delightful rube from Spiral Hill with you, and are those children? Oh, Whisper, you almost make me laugh. Didn't learn your lesson?

He chuckles

Mimic: Then again you couldn't do much outside of your old gang. Now you're using all our Wisps as a crutch. "A very affective crutch, admittedly. Credit where its due you put me on the run. "But then you let your guard down. Took a little time out with you little friends. Tsk Tsk.

He begins transforming.

Mimic: Part of me wishes we could settle this just between us... But since you INSIST on bringing your friends along...

His voice begins turning younger. He shapeshifts into Alex.

Mimic: I'll just have to let you handicap yourself!

Tangle uses her tail to pull the metal door up.

Whisper walks in her Wispon armed and ready with Alex behind her.

They walk inside and discover a maze of long shelves and broken machinery. 

Y/N and Tangle follow behind, keeping a lookout for any signs of danger. 

Tangle: This is a pretty boring nefarious trap.

Whisper: Shh

Tangle uses her tail to grab onto the top of a nearby shelf.

Tangle: Let's make him play at our pace. I'll go high you guys go low.

Whisper: Don't-

Before she can stop her Tangle is already gone.

Whisper sighs.

Alex: Don't worry Whisper I'll go find her.

Alex fly's up to the top of a shelf before disappearing as well.

Whisper turns to Y/N with a grave expression on her face. 

 Whisper: Y/N, stay close to me. We need to be careful. 

 Y/N nods, their eyes wide with excitement and fear.

Meanwhile with Tangle...

Tangle is jumping across the shelves using her tail to catch herself.

Tangle (Mind): Check every shadow. Second guess every movement. Whisper counting on you so don't screw this up. She hasn't said much, Not like she says much but this Mimic guy clearly hurt her and the one thing you don't do is hurt my friends.

Alex: TANGLE! HELP!

Tangle: Alex!

Whisper (in the distance): Oh no!

Tangle begins running toward the sound of Alex with Whisper beside her.

Tangle: I heard Alex, but I thought he was with you?

Whisper: They left to go find you. This way!

Tangle: If they hurt him, I'll kill Mimic myself!

Whisper: Keep your voice down he's being used as bait.

They run over to an open safe.

Whisper puts her hand up.

Whisper: Hold it!

A few seconds pass.

Whisper: Looks clear, check inside the Safe I'll cover you.

Tangle: Right, 

Tangle slowly opens the safe.

Tangle (Mind): Heh Whisper must be really worried too; I've never heard her speak so plainly before.

Tangle opens the safe to see Alex Tied up and gagged. A wave of realization hits her.

Tangle (Mind): Wait! Did she not have her Wispon! Where's Y/N?

Before she can do anything Mimic kicks Tangle into the safe before closing it on her locking it.

Tangle gets up and begins banging on the door furiously.

Tangle NO NO NO! Let me out! F-Fight m-me in th-the o-open! HELLO! YOU JERK OPEN UP RIGHT NOW!

She goes to Alex and begins uniting him. 

After she's done untying him, she puts her hands on her mouth trying to slow her breathing.

Tangle (Mind): Don't! Can't pass out again! Can't use up all the air! Theirs two of us in here!

Meanwhile with Y/N...

Y/N is carefully following Whisper through the maze, their heart pounding with anticipation. They can't help but feel a mixture of excitement and anxiety, knowing that danger lurks behind every corner. Whisper suddenly stops in her tracks, causing Y/N to almost bump into her. She puts a finger to her lips, signaling for Y/N to stay quiet. Y/N nods, their hands trembling slightly.

Suddenly Tangle comes running from around the corner.

Whisper aims her Wispon at her.

Tangle (Fake): Whoa Whoa Whoa! It's me!

Whisper: Prove it.

Y/N watches in confusion as Whisper points her Wispon at Tangle, who claims to be the real one. They both look at Tangle, waiting for her to make a move. 

 Tangle (Fake): What do you want? My diploma? Mimic turned into Alex and lured me out.

She points toward her slightly ripped top.

Tangle (Fake): He took a swipe at me, and I ran to find you guys. 

Whisper: Y/N, Sniff.

Y/N hesitates for a moment, unsure of what to do. But they trust Whisper's instincts and approach Tangle cautiously. They take a deep breath and let their senses guide them. As they get closer to Tangle, they take a whiff of the air around her. Y/N's eyes widen in realization. 

 Y/N (Sign): It's her! She smells like Tangle.

Whisper slowly puts down her Wispon.

Tangle begins to run.

Tangle (Fake): He wasn't far behind c'mon let's get him.

Whisper reaches out to Tangle while running after her. Y/N following closely behind.

Whisper: Wait!

They both turn the corner to see Mimic in Tangles form on top of a giant Badnik swinging a wrecking ball around.

Y/N's ears fall on their head intimidated.

Whisper: Stay behind me, Y/N.

Mimic: You know I can shapeshift! DID YOU NOT THINK I COULD ALSO TAKE THE SMELL!?

The Badnik swing the wrecking ball over at Whisper sending Y/N back , but she dodges it, she gets up and puts her mask on her face before firing a pink spike at the chain destroying the wrecking ball. She then shoots orange missiles which destroys the Badnik. Mimic quickly jumps off of it. A small Eggman bomb lands in front of Whisper and Y/N. Whisper grabs Y/N and uses Hover mode to fly over the bomb. Mimic pulls out a blaster and begins shooting at Whisper. Whisper throws Y/N in a box of pillows before shooting at mimic with a lightning blast, Knocking the gun out of his hand.

Mimic: OW!

He falls into some boxes and is laying there with a pissed off whisper in front of him.

Mimic grunts

Mimic: Nice shot

Whisper puts her Wispon in Hammer mode her eyes open and filled with rage.

Mimic: And it looks like you've learned to appreciate the personal touch.

Whisper: WHERE. ARE. THEY. She says with the Hammer wispon above her head.

Mimic oh you mean.

He shifts half the side of his body into Tangle and the other being Alex.

Mimic: These pretty faces? Don't worry there in a Safe place! 

Mimic then turns into a teal-furred ocelot, anthropomorphic with pink eyes and a dark pink nose. He had triangular ears with tan canals and had white fur on his muzzle, chest and tail tip. He also had turquoise markings on top of his head, above his eyes and his tail.

Mimic: But I can't say the same for the others. And whose fault is that hmm?

Whisper steps back in guilt.

Whisper: Dont you dare!

He then turns into a short, green-furred, anthropomorphic howler monkey with light green skin. She possessed light yellow eyeshadow and lipstick. She had longer fur on the top and the sides of her head and a long, curly tail. For attire, they wore a cream dress with four black buttons on the top level, gray leggings and a gold earring on each ear.

Mimic: Why not? They were my friends just as much as they were yours.

Mimic then turned into a large, brown-furred, anthropomorphic lion with bright brown eyes, a black nose, rounded ears and white hair on his light brown muzzle. He had a large, dark brown mane with the lower part of it held by a black beard tie. He had light brown fur on his chest and long tail with a black hair tie near the paintbrush-shaped side of his tail tuft.

He goes up to Whisper who has a guilty face on her.

Mimic: You HAD ONE JOB! AND WHERE WERE YOU IN THE END CERTAINLY NOT WITH US.

Whisper hits him in the gut with the hammer which sends him back. She holds the hammer above her head.

Whisper: YOU SOLD US OUT. I Will MAKE YOU PAY FOR ALL OF THEM!

Mimic: So, you've already given up on your new friends? If you hurry you might open the safe in time before they run out of air. I doubt all four of you will get out of here before the bombs go off though. Especially with one of them already out for the count.

He points toward Y/N who is unconscious.

He looks up at Whisper.

Mimic: But I'm counting on you trying.

Whisper hesitates, she deactivates her Wispon before grabbing Y/N and running for the safe.

Whisper's heart races as she holds onto Y/N, desperately trying to outpace the impending danger. The weight of her guilt gnaws at her, but she pushes it aside, knowing that her priority is to save her friends.

Mimic makes his way outside, shutting the door and trapping them in.

He begins shifting into his true form, a blueish violet anthropomorphic octopus. He has a large, sagging head with six small protrusions at the top and four long tentacles with dark blueish violet tips that extend from his head down to nearly his ankles. Suction cups can be seen on both his hands and feet. Mimic has white eyes with black sclera and possesses a white chocolate muzzle with wrinkles at his beak and a black marking just above it, making his face look like a skull. For attire, he wears a small, tattered gray cloak with sleeves and tattered gray leg warmers of the same slim fabric, all of which are tattered.

Mimic: Rest in peace Whisper it was fun while it lasted. 

Whisper refuses to give in to fear or despair. She tightens her grip on Y/N and races towards the safe, determination fueling her every move. As she reaches the safe she sets Y/N down and uses her Wispon to shoot 3 pink spikes breaking the door.

Tangle falls out of the safe while Alex stumbles out.

Tangle: no more let me out!

Alex falls to his knees.

Alex: better late "Gasp" than never Whisper.

Whisper grabs Tangles arm pulling her up.

Whisper: Get Up! There are bombs!

Alex laughs due to the lack of oxygen.

Alex: what type of bombs?

Tangle: Thats not good

Suddenly the bombs begin to go off.

As the bombs detonate, the abandoned bunker starts to crumble around them. Whisper's eyes widen in panic as she realizes the gravity of the situation.

Tangle: Well, me and Alex are gonna hate this but!

She pushes Whisper and Alex into the safe and uses her tail to grab Y/N's unconscious body before going in the safe and shutting the door.

Inside the safe, Tangle holds onto Y/N tightly, praying that they'll make it out alive. She can hear the deafening sounds of destruction outside, accompanied by the muffled screams of Alex. Tangle's heart pounds in her chest as she waits for the chaos to subside.Finally, the rumbling ceases, and silence fills the air. Tangle takes a deep breath, her body trembling with adrenaline and fear. She looks down at Y/N, still unconscious, and hopes that they'll wake up soon.Whisper and Alex begin to stir, disoriented from the explosion and the impact of their landing. They both groan in pain as they slowly regain their senses.

Outside there's nothing left of the Bunker.

Tangle uses her tail to punch down the safe door. Before flopping onto the ground.

Tangle: AIR! Don't care if it smells like burning!

Alex steps out.

Alex: Whoa! Mimic wasn't kidding there's nothing left!

Whisper: Tangle, Alex take Y/N, Go home. She says with guilt her mask hiding her face.

Tangle: Wait! I know I screwed up! I knew Mimics game and he still tricked me.

Alex: You're not the only one.

Tangle: But it won't Happen again!

Whisper: No

Alex goes and checks on Y/N.

Tangle: Please don't do this let me prove were not failures!

Whisper: Your not!

Tangle: Then why!

Whisper takes off her mask she looks at Tangle with guilt in her eyes.

Whisper: I WON"T LOSE ANOTHER FRIEND! I CAN'T!

Whisper begins breaking down.

Tangle is taken aback by Whisper's raw emotions, her heart aching as she watches her friend crumble before her. She sniffles a bit before walking over to her sitting down. Alex walks over holding Y/N's body bridal style having heard everything.

Tangle: Ok you gotta hurt, it runs deep. I'm thinking your long overdue for talking about it. So let it out, Ill shut up.

Alex: We'll listen. He says in a soft voice looking down at Y/N, tears threatening to spill.

Whisper: ok I'll tell you guys everything...
