~~~ TIMESKIP ~~~

     I was waiting in the temple watching the broadcast the Diamond's were giving for Steven. White, Blue, and Yellow told the story of Pink Diamond and how she formed Steven. She announced that Steven was finally ready to sit on Pink's throne. The camera panned down to Steven, who introduced himself, and talked about how he doesn't want to be placed on a throne, rather living on Earth instead. The Diamond's were surprised as there was an audible command.

White: "Cut the feed."

     The broadcast ended and I shook my head with a smile. That's Steven for you. After a minute or two I heard the warp activate. Steven and Connie came down the stairs talking about space camp. I started to head out, making my way to my Aunt's house. It's been a long time since I have seen her, and I have been, honestly, avoiding her. I approached the door and knocked. (A/N) opened the door and stood in shock while looking at me.

(Y/N): "Hey. I-"

     She hugged me.

(A/N): "Where have you been? Ever since that night so long ago, I thought I lost you."

(Y/N): "I have been busy. Figuring things out about my, special side. And, I wasn't sure what to say, or even if you wanted to see me, so I have kind of been avoiding you."

(A/N): "Oh (Y/N). That night I was confused, and learning about this, what was it, gem thing? I started to think of you differently. Though after a while I remember that you're still just the same (Y/N) you have always been, I just knew more about you then I did before. But there have been evacuations and, those large ships and things. I was so worried."

(Y/N): "Ah yes. There is so much to talk about. I know where my gem came from, but I still don't know how it ended up being apart of me. And I have found out a lot about what I can do. If you want, you can always think of me like a superhero of sorts, cause I can do quite a lot."

(A/N): "Well, I am sure I can handle it, even if it takes some time."

(Y/N): "Well, with all that's been discovered, like my past and abilities, I think it is best to explain it, bit by bit. Today, let's just talk about, my origin."

(A/N): "Of course."

(Y/N): "So. Gems can do this thing, where they become one with another gem. It is called fusion. When Pearl and Amethyst fuse, they turn into Opal, Garnet is Sapphire and Ruby. My gem is obsidian, a, somehow, physical footprint of the gem fusion Obsidian from the war six thousand years ago. Obsidian is the fusion of Pearl, Garnet, Amethyst, and another gem. Before, we just knew her as Rose Quartz, but it has been revealed that she is actually Pink Diamond, I will go into that in a moment, but first, any questions?"

     She sat there for a moment, slowly taking in this information.

(A/N): "So, your gem, is six thousand years old? But you are obviously not that old, I mean your mother and father can't be older than sixty, let alone six thousand."

(Y/N): "That is one of the mysteries, yes. My gem is from a long time ago, but somehow it was dormant or something before I came along."

(A/N): "Okay, well I understand as much as I can right now. Continue, you mentioned a Pink Diamond?"

(Y/N): "So, first of all. The home planet to Gems is what they call, Homeworld. On Homeworld there is this hierarchy of gems, and at the top is the Diamond Authority, consisting of Yellow Diamond, Blue Diamond, White Diamond, the late Pink Diamond, and a new addition, Black Diamond."

(A/N): "Okay, So, a bunch of Diamonds are the leaders or monarchy of this Homeworld?"

(Y/N): "Exactly. Now, Pink Diamond, ran away from Homeworld to live on Earth, faking her death, and going by the alias of Rose Quartz."

(A/N): "Okay. So this Rose Quartz is here on Earth hiding from Homeworld?"

(Y/N): "Not anymore. First, when Pink Diamond faked her death, it started a war, six thousand years ago. And now, in current events. Pink Diamond, or Rose Quartz, is no more. She gave up her physical form to give birth to Steven."

(A/N): "Okay, so it is like when a mother dies giving birth to her child?"

(Y/N): "Exactly. So now Steven has her gem and abilities. He is the only other half human, half gem, that we know of. And that kind of brings us up to current events."

(A/N): "Kind of?"

(Y/N): "So, the new addition to the Diamond Authority, Black Diamond..."

(A/N): "What about them?"

(Y/N): "Well, they are, me. I am the newest addition to the Diamond Authority."

(A/N): "Okay. I think, that has been quite a lot for today. I am glad you came back, and I am glad you are sharing with me. But this is a lot."

(Y/N): "I understand. I was trying to keep it lite, but, you haven't really hung out with the gems, or gotten used to what goes on around them huh?"

(A/N): "Yeah. But I do know one thing. I am glad to have you back."

     We hugged again as the house shook.

(Y/N): "What's wrong now? I thought we were done with this stuff."

(A/N): "What stuff?"

(Y/N): "Fighting, random earthquakes, and overall gem stuff. I might have to be back, but I will be back."

(A/N): "Of course. You go be you."

(Y/N): "Don't worry, the gems usually have everything under control, I tend to watch more then anything."

     I looked out the window and immediately say the problem from the house.

(Y/N): "What the hell is that thing? Okay, I really need to go. See you in a bit, and if an evacuation of sorts happens, don't worry, I will be fine, I know a lot of easy access safe spots."

     I started to run toward the temple hill where a large injector of some kind was clinging. I ran up the hill.

(Y/N): "Guys are you okay?"

     I saw that it was only Steven and a gem that looked so familiar. I got a flash of an image in my head. An elegant garden, and the sound of laughter. I shook away the memory and headed up to them.

(Y/N): "Steven what happened to the gems, are you guys ok?"

Steven: "(Y/N)? Thank goodness your here this gem just came here and-"

???: "Oh, another one of our friends? They won't last long, your human half won't stand a chance against my injector, especially not after what I did to your gem."

    I saw Steven trying to hold back the gem's weapon. A scythe of some kind. I looked at the shape and thought. What if I took Pearl's spear, and my Karambit. The spear for the handle, the karambit for the blade, and it would form a scythe, a perfect spinning weapon, and I have been practicing with the hammer. The scythe is going to be lighter and easier to hold. I could give it a try. I took out the black spear and put my karambit on top, making a nice long scythe.

(Y/N): "If you want to pick on Steven, why don't you come here."

Steven: "(Y/N), No, the gems couldn't handle her, she wiped them all out! Stay back!"

     The gem looked at me in annoyance.

???: "So, you're another one are you? No matter. I can make quick work with that."

(Y/N): "Oh, I bet if you manage to hit me it's going to make things a lot harder, but to hit me. You have to know where I am."

     I teleported to on top of her injector. I looked down as she looked around in confusion. She shouted in anger.

???: "You like to play games do you!? A little hide and seek!? Well once I find you, you're gonna go down!"

     I teleported behind her and gave her a kick before teleporting behind her injector.

(Y/N): "How can you find what doesn't exist?"

     I teleported to the top of the water tower as I saw her slowly approach the injector. Something felt off. I watched her snap around and jump toward me with her scythe, but before she could hit me, she was back at the injector approaching it. Oh, so that's true future vision. Can't let that go to waste. I teleported to Steven as the gem turned around and leaped to the tower before noticing that no one was there.

???: "You're a fast one aren't you? You won't last. No, not at all. You may be able to run around, but I will get you, be sure of that."

(Y/N): "Well then how about some hand to hand? I don't use a scythe much, a game is no fun when it's unfair, isn't it?"

???: "Unfair? You think this is unfair? Oh, you don't know anything."

     I put away my scythe and activated my aura. The gem looked at me, seeing an opening and went for it. She entered my aura, and I saw her scythe didn't dissipate. The stick was solid, and the light blade wasn't summoned, it was artificial. I teleported to behind her and retracted my aura to save energy. But I couldn't teleport too many times at once, I was already starting to get dizzy and disoriented, with the in and out of reality, hopping from place to place, it was hard keeping track of where I am, where I was, and where I need to be. She rushed at me again, she stretched a lot, I can't use that to my advantage right now, I have one shot, and I need to be careful. I knew I was desperate, and the only thing that would allow me to win was hope, so hope is what I was going to use. I let hope fill me, hope that I would come out on top, hope that I would pull this off, hope that everything would be okay. And I felt it, I embraced it, and I knew I was in control. As she approached, I got low, a wide stance. She swung at me, and I used this. I rotated my body, allowing my leg to swing around as I outstretched my hand. A small, diagonal pillar of ice came out of the ground and hit the scythe, adding momentum to her swing causing her to spin a little to much, and the scythe went faster that she expected. She lost her grip, I grabbed the scythe, and I swung it at her. I looked over at Steven who was having trouble making his shield.

(Y/N): "Steven, you okay?"

Steven: "Whatever she hit me with is messing with my powers. My shield won't stay. It's getting harder and harder to make it."

(Y/N): "Save your energy. Let's just get everybody ready to reform."

     Steven nodded as we brought everyone inside. I felt a tingle in my leg, and I looked down to see that I had lightly grazed myself with the scythe she used. Damn it. Never use weapons without practicing them first. I have no clue what that thing can do. It took away Steven's powers what if...... If it takes away mine. Could I possibly just go back to the way I used to live? Before all this? Mom and Dad wouldn't have to worry about strange things happening. 

Steven: "(Y/N), we need to bubble her before she can do more harm."

(Y/N): "Oh of course."

     I put her in a bubble. We were in the house as the gems were on the table. I felt something off as we heard a popping sound, and then a clunk. Steven looked over to see the new gem on the floor.

Steven: "(Y/N)? What happened? Are you okay?"

(Y/N): "I may or may not, have nicked myself with the strange anti power scythe."

Steven: "What?! But, then how could you keep the bubble up for so long?"

     I looked at my leg to see a few small pink lines on my leg.

(Y/N): "It seems to be spreading slowly. Maybe there will be a way to stop it entirely before it takes full effect?"

Steven: "Maybe."

(Y/N): "I could try becoming non existent."

     I do not exist. I am nothing, and there fore, no where. I have no injuries, I have no body. I looked around to see that I was still on the couch.

(Y/N): "I may or may not be existent locked. Like Schrodinger's cat, the box is open."

Steven: "What?"

(Y/N): "Oh, well after I figured out my powers are based on my existence, I looked at a bunch of theoretical science text books, and there was this person named Schrodinger who did this famous experiment. If you put a cat in a box, and a timer attached to a nozzle that will release poison into the box after a random amount of time. The when the box is closed, there is no way of knowing if the timer has released the poison or not. Therefore, the cat is in a simultanious state of being dead and being alive. Only when we open the box and observe it, do we see the true outcome. So my powers allow me to exist and not exist at the same time. I can choose which state I am in. This weapon has opened the box, I am in a set state, the outcome is definite."

     Steven looked at me in confusion.

(Y/N): "Okay. Here you go, to put it simply.... I am stuck. I can't teleport, I cannot stop existing."

Steven: "But is the cat fine?"

(Y/N): "There is no....... yes, the cat is fine."

Steven: "Thank goodness, now we just need to find a way to help you."

     There was frantic breathing as Greg came into the temple. We had put the unknown gem on the table.

Greg: "Steven, (Y/N), I came as fast as I could. Are you okay?"

     He looked at the table to see all the gems.

Greg: "Holy shhhhhe really got everybody. Is that her?"

     He pointed to the heart shaped gem.

Steven: "Yeah."

Greg: "Who-"

Steven: "No idea."

Greg: "Why?"

Steven: "No idea."

Greg: "How?"

Steven: "She hit all of us with this."

     He activated the scythe.

(Y/N): "So she didn't summon it. That's why my aura had no effect. Bummer."

Steven: "It did something extra weird to us and now our powers aren't working right."

(Y/N): "I can't teleport. We can't bubble, and he can't summon his shield. I haven't tested yet, and I would rather we save our strength just in case. Right now you can still summon your weapon, barely, but it might be a limited amount of times. We need to be conservative."

Steven: "I have no idea what's going on."

     Greg put his hand on Steven's shoulder.

Greg: "Well son, now you know how I feel almost all the time. But you know what else? Any moment now the ems are gonna do that thing where they glow and float in the air and reappear better then ever. See? Here she comes, good old Pearl."

     Pearl began to glow, and float. A shell formed around Pearl's Pearl. 

Pearl's Pearl's Shell: "Please identify yourself."

Greg: "Um, Greg Universe?"

Pearl's Pearl's Shell: "Greetings Um Greg Universe. Please state preferred customization options."

Greg: "Um, what am I supposed to say here?"

Steven: "I don't know."

Pearl's Pearl's Shell: "Default settings selected. Please stand by."

(Y/N): "Oh perfect, standing by is my specialty."

     Pearl's Pearl's Shell floated back and began to open up. Pearl began to form with a new dress. She saw us. But focused her sight on Greg.

Steven: "Pearl! Pearl thank goodness you're back."

     She walked up to Greg, and started to sing and bow.

Pearl: "How do you do? My Um Greg Universe. Thank you for bringing me into, the world. I am at your eternal service, welcome to your new Pearl."

     Greg and Steven were confused, so was I, but I did not vocalize it.

Greg: "Could her gem be cracked?"

     Steven looked at Pearl.

Steven: "It looks fine to me."

     Ruby began to float and reform.

(Y/N): "I predict that this is not going to be the Ruby we know."

     Ruby reformed with a salute, Steven rushed over to her.

Steven: "Ruby! Are you okay?"

Ruby: "Ah, who are you? You're not my assignment."

Greg: "I could really use an explanation here."

Pearl: "Allow me to illuminate. A Ruby guard, but just a single one. They tend to come in teams of three, or more. A special Sapphire, she see's the future, that's who the Ruby's for."

Ruby: "My Sapphire. As my sworn duty and sole purpose. I will protect you with my life."

Sapphire: "I know you will. That's why I predict you won't last more than a day. Come now."

     They got off the table as Amethyst started to glow.

Steven: "Amethyst. Hey, Amethyst?"

Amethyst: "Hey, Amethyst?"

Steven: "What? No you're Amethyst."

Amethyst: "What? No you're Amethyst."

Pearl: "You must be right, this is an Amethyst. Except an Amethyst is big, and strong. This one is not the best, example. Something is clearly wrong. I do say, something is clearly wrong. What are all these different gems doing here in this strange place?"

Steven: "Pearl, don't you recognize them? Don't you recognize me?"

Pearl: "Well I certainly recognize my Um Greg Universe. As for you..."

     There was a glow as the heart gem started to glow and levitate.

(Y/N): "I can't wait to see what non vicious, playful mystery gem looks like."

Steven: "What?"

(Y/N): "You'll see. And you won't get it at first. But you will get it in a moment."

     There was a giggle as the light form extended it's arms and wrapped around Steven. Slamming herself into him.

???: "I'm so excited to meet you."

Steven: "You're not mad?"

???: "Mad? Why would I be mad at my best friend!?"

Pearl: "This will be fun, aren't you the lucky one? Her cut is perfect and she's pink as well. She'll bring you endless entertainment, your new best friend Spinel. "

     Steven pointed a shaky, accusing finger at Spinel.

Steven: "You!!! What have you done to us!?"

     He shook Spinel, and stopped. She laughed as she lightly poked or 'booped' Steven on the nose.

Spinel: "Now it's your turn."

     She wrapped her arms around him and shook him up and down.

Steven: "Would you cut that out? Please?"

     She stopped shaking him and let him down. She pointed past Steven.

Spinel: "Hey look, there's more gems. Let's ask them to play."

Steven: "Wait a minute, you don't remember?"

Spinel: "Remember what?"

     We went outside to look at the giant injector.

Spinel: "Wowee. That thing sure is big. You want to climb it or something?"

Steven: "Wait wait, are you serious right now? What about that stuff you said about how I won't stand a chance against your injector?"

Spinel: "I said what now?"

Steven: "You really don't remember."

     I clapped, slowly.

(Y/N): "Congratulations, what's your prize? More time to figure out what to do, rather than interrogating a blank card. What will you do next?"

Steven: "Can you quite it?"

(Y/N): "Sorry, it's just annoying when you don't listen to me. I have to have some output. Comedy is better than violence. Right Spinny?"

Spinel: "Well sure it is. Laughter is the best medicine."

     Steven sighed and walked up to Lion, who had just came up to us. He grabbed the scythe stick, and put it up to Lion's mane. The stick fell.

Steven: "I can't store things in Lion's mane now? Come on, that's like the easiest thing I do."

     Steven did some thinking as I started to walk down the beach to little homeworld. I noticed that Steven, Ruby, Spinel, and Sapphire had caught up. We went up to the top of the tower that was currently being built. Steven was catching Bismuth, Lapis, and Peridot up. I hung around with Ruby and Sapphire.

(Y/N): "Nice to meet you two for the first time again."

Ruby: "What?"

Sapphire: "Nice to meet you too."

(Y/N): "So, you guys. I cannot wait for you to see what you become."

Sapphire: "I don't see us become anything."

(Y/N): "Well of course. To become what you are going to become, you will have to change the future. You don't get it now but you will. I can't wait to see how though."

Sapphire: "You are someone who eludes me."

(Y/N): "You cannot predict those who predict. We are invisible to each other. Or at least that could be IT. You never really got into future vision and time lines when you
