~~~ TIMESKIP ~~~

     I woke up in my bed, I went over to my table where some food was placed. I had my breakfast and heard the doors to my room open.

Yellow Pearl: "My Diamond requests your presence in the extraction chamber."

     She turned and start to leave. I followed as she headed to the extraction chamber. When the doors opened I saw that it was a sort of sauna. Yellow and Blue sat across from each other.

Yellow Diamond: "Ah, welcome (Y/N). Come sit."

     I on the side adjacent to both of them, sitting in the middle.

Yellow Diamond: "We have news. A team of Rubies were sent to Earth in search of Jasper."

(Y/N): "Oh, I remember them."

Yellow Diamond: "You have met them?"

(Y/N): "Yeah. I definitely remember them."

Yellow Diamond: "Really? Did something happen with them?"

(Y/N): "Oh, well, it wasn't anything too special, that was just when we went to the Moon Base, where I first remembered Pink in front of her Palanquin. And also the time I figured out I wouldn't die in space."

     Yellow and Blue looked at each other in concern.

Yellow Diamond: "You don't suffocate?"

(Y/N): "No, I do. It was excruciating. I just didn't die."

Blue Diamond: "That sounds terrible. The things you have been through."

(Y/N): "Well, I am just glad that it was just a learning experience I lived to tell."

Yellow Diamond: "Well, they came back with a report. Apparently Rose Quartz was there. You were with Rose Quartz, (Y/N)?"

(Y/N): "I don't remember any Rose Quartz, or at least nobody that looked like them. If I was with Rose Quartz, then I have been fooled."

Yellow Diamond: "Yes, the Ruby did say that she looked different. Nothing like her previous self. I see."

     The room started to glow blue as Blue was now quiet, fist clenched, I could feel her sadness, and rage.

Blue Diamond: "That traitor is still alive?"

Yellow Diamond: "Yes, it is outrageous indeed. I'm sorry to tell you this Blue. Shall I get the Ruby team for a statement Blue?"

Blue Diamond: "Yes. I want to hear what this Ruby has to say."

     Yellow nodded as she and Blue stood up. I stood up as well and we all headed out, to a room with many bubbled gems in it.

Yellow Diamond: "Pearl, Go grab the Ruby team."

Yellow Pearl: "Yes my Diamond."

     Yellow Pearl left. We all sat there and waited. Blue seemed to calm down enough to retract her aura, but I could tell, she was still furious. 

(Y/N): "I have to tell you guys something."

Yellow Diamond: "What is it?"

(Y/N): "The more I think about the memory of Pink Diamond in front of her palanquin, there's something that doesn't add up."

Yellow Diamond: "How so?"

(Y/N): "Well, there were shards of Pink Diamond in the spot she was struck down right?"

Yellow Diamond: "Of course, why?"

(Y/N): "Well, in the memory, I remember being dissipated, but then I feel warmth, like a hand around me, and some sort of movement, like I was about to be taken somewhere. The memory persists a little bit after dissipation, but that would mean that the shards couldn't have been right where she stood. I am not saying she wasn't shattered, but, the memory is just so, weird."

Blue Diamond: "But I was there! I saw the shard right there!"

(Y/N): "I know, I know. But, I had another memory. I saw the shards. There were three of them, a large long one, and 2 smaller pieces, right?"

Blue Diamond: "Exactly!"

(Y/N): "So, I am seeing the memory through Pink's eyes. But, how could I remember seeing the shards as her, if they were her's?"

     Yellow Diamond's eyes widened as she slowly pieced together what I was saying.

Yellow Diamond: "Then that would mean Pink wasn't shattered, not there at least. So they must have abducted her to do who know's what!"

Blue Diamond: "Oh, poor Pink."

Yellow Diamond: "That would explain why we could never find the rest of the shards. We never found all of them, it was always incomplete, too small."

     The door opened as Yellow Pearl had come back with the Rubies.

Rubies: "You asked for us, my Diamonds?"

     Eyeball looked up and noticed me.

Eyeball: "You! What are you doing here!?"

Yellow Diamond: "Silence Ruby! You will respect them, they are..."

     She thought very carefully, outright calling me a diamond would be dangerous, and could cause an uproar. 

Yellow Diamond: "... An honorary member of my court."

     Blue looked at Yellow then down at me and nodded.

Eyeball: "Oh, of course my Diamond."

Yellow Diamond: "We have decided to take that traitorous Rose Quartz to a trial. Some light has been shown on the previous events. You will be there to make a statement and confirm that the one before us is Rose Quartz, when we do manage to find her."

Eyeball: "Of course my Diamond."

Yellow Diamond: "Now Rubies, are there any more descriptions you would like to add?"

Eyeball: "Yes, when we arrived at the moon base the console was destroyed and the communication device had been taken."

Blue Diamond: "What?"

Eyeball: "Yes, those stupid crystal gems."

Yellow Diamond: "Thank you, that will be all. Now, (Y/N), let's continue to the arena."

     The Rubies left as Yellow, Blue, and I headed to the arena. When we arrived Yellow turned to me.

Yellow Diamond: "Now, we have to work on the expansion of your aura. For this, Blue is going to need to help explain it."

Blue Diamond: "Well, the aura is an extension of who you are, so one way of thinking about this is, imagine expanding and extending yourself, allow yourself to encompass your environment."

     She put her hands in front of her and made a ball of blue light. She let her hands drift away from each other as the ball got larger, until it burst, filling the whole arena. The Yellow and I had started to tear up a little, as the blue faded.

Yellow Diamond: "Yes, excellent demonstration. Your turn (Y/N)."

     I took a breath. I put my arms in front of me. I am nothing, in front of me is nothing. Let everything become nothing, there nothing around me. A small ball of darkness appeared between my hands. It slowly got larger. I managed to make a small zone of nothing, but it didn't fill the arena, only my immediate area.

Yellow Diamond: "Hmm, a good start. And still useful, any ability or weapon that get's close to you is absorbed. That is still a great defense, but not perfect. You still have no defense from an actual gem attack. It would still be beneficial to increase your area. You should keep practicing."

     I nodded and continued to practice expanding and retracting my aura.

          ~~~ TIMESKIP ~~~

     I had been practicing for the past three days. I had twice the range, but still not enough to fill the arena. My progress has been slowing down a lot. Does the area get harder to maintain exponentially as it increases? It would make sense, every time the sphere get's larger, the perimeter has to increase by more and more to expand. I got up out of my bed and walked to the arena to continue my training. I was trying to focus on endurance, keeping my ability active for long periods of time while exerting myself, to allow myself to increase my concentration and duration. Though I can still only keep up my barrier for five minutes while jogging, and then again I can only jog for five minutes. 

     After about thirty minutes of training I heard some footsteps and saw Yellow and Blue arrive. They seemed to be having a conversation.

Blue Diamond: "...Though the Aquamarine say's they will be arriving soon, and something about a surprise."

Yellow Diamond: "I hope they didn't get side tracked and forget their mission. It would be a huge disappointment."

Blue Diamond: "Yes it would."

     They turned and saw me working on my aura control. Expanding as far as I can, then drawing it back, and then expanding it again.

Yellow Diamond: "I see you have expanded your aura quite a bit."

Blue Diamond: "Yes, this is impressive."

(Y/N): "Thank you. I have been making progress, but it get's harder and harder."

Blue Diamond: "Well I am glad you have managed to make it this far."

(Y/N): "Well you have definitely helped me out a lot."

Blue Diamond: "Oh it was nothing."

(Y/N): "I also want to try something out, but I will disappear for a bit."

Yellow Diamond: "Okay then."

     I nod and then closed my eye. I appear in the the void of blackness. So, I can change who I am, but what I stay myself, and just change how I look? I thought of my clothes changing. Instead of what they were, now I have long black pants. My shirt was black with long sleeves, and a grey 'X' on them. I had sunglasses and a black cape. I went back to the arena and saw that I kept my new clothes.

Yellow Diamond: "That is, very interesting. What's with the cape?"

(Y/N): "What's wrong with capes? Everyone loves a good cape."

Yellow Diamond: "If you insist."

     There were frantic footsteps from the halls from the arena. Yellow Pearl was making her way toward us.

Yellow Pearl: "My Diamond, the Aquamarine and Topazes are back, they claim to have Rose Quartz."

Yellow Diamond: "What?! Get the Trial Room ready. (Y/N), follow us."

     Yellow Pearl walked away. Yellow, Blue, and I walked to a large building.

Yellow Diamond: "You are going to want to go down the upcoming hall and go into the fifth room on the left. Soon a Green Zircon will be with you. She will ask some questions so she can form a case."

(Y/N): "Okay, I get it."

Yellow Diamond: "Really?"

(Y/N): "Well of course, there are courts, trials, and lawyers on Earth too. The Zircon is the Lawyer, you are the judge, Rose Quartz is the defendant, and so on. I am guessing I am a witness of sorts?"

Yellow Diamond: "Interesting. Yes, that's correct. Then I will see you in a moment."

     I made my way down the hallway to the room Yellow mentioned. It wasn't long when a green Zircon entered the room.

Green Zircon: "Hello, you must be (Y/N)."

(Y/N): "That would be me."

Green Zircon: "I am told you have information that is vital to understanding what happened to Pink Diamond? Not like there is more to know, she was shattered, what more could there be?"

     I sighed and told the Zircon about what I remember and what Yellow, Blue, and I know about the situation.

Green Zircon: "So, the abduction of a Diamond, and faking a shattering? That sure is quite the case. I have everything I need, thank you. As I make my case, I will bring you in to confirm that what I am saying is the truth based on what you have told me."

     I nod and wait as Zircon left.
