Wolfheart was close to the lake. He could see the lake and all of the fish that filled it. The sound of the lake accompanied with the sound of the birds in the trees and the wind in the trees calmed him. Wolfheart loved to be here. All of the smells and sounds always seemed to clear his mind. Wolfheart remembered when he had only been an apprentice and discovered this place.

'' Wolfpaw was holding his squirrel in a fim gripp. He had caught it earlier that morning and wanted to show it off to his mentor Craneleap. He was for once filled with energy. Normally he was a very calm cat but this day he had just been less patient. Of course he had much energy most days but he was just patient. His mother had looked so proud when he was about to get out and he had been embarrassed by how good Swanflight had talked about him to her friends. His mother didn't look like him at all, she was as white as snow while he had dark gray fur like his father Cloudfrost but everyone said he had her eyes. Cloudfrost had looked so happy when he left with Craneneck. His mentor had shown him a new hunting technique. Wolfpaw sped up to get to camp. He knew that his mother and father would like to hear everything he had done and he was eager to tell them.

The moment Wolfpaw entered camp he knew something was wrong. Craneneck looked up from the small group of warriors she had been talking to. Something in her eyes made Wolfpaw know that they had talked about him. He glanced around the camp in search of his mother and father. Swanflights white fur should have stood out from all of the other pelts but she was nowhere to be find and his fathers smell was old. Wolfpaw took an unsure step forward. He was scared now. Craneneck walked up to him he eyes filled with sorrow.

- Wolfpaw there was a fight with Riverclan, she said, unsure of how to approach her apprentice. Panic started to flood Wolfpaws mind. His grip around his squirrel hardened.

- Swanfligh and Cloudfrost they, Craneneck said something more but that was everything he heard. Wolfpaws went deaf after that. He knew what had happened without his mentor finishing the sentence. Wolfpaw took a step away from his mentor and dropped his squirrel on the ground.

- No no, he breathed his vision clouded with tears. Wolfpaw backed another step away from his mentor. Then he turned around and ran out of camp. He knew that Craneneck was calling his name but he didn't care. His only family had died. Wolfpaw had been the only kitt in his litter. He had no one else.

Wolfpaw found himself running towards the lake. There he saw a willow hangin down over the vatter and there he laid. He felt so helpless as the tears streamed down his face. A hole inside of Wolfpaw opened up and he was slowly being consumed by it. When dusk came Wolfpaw climbed into the willow where he laid down.

It had been three sunrises since Swanflight and Cloudfrost had died. Wolfpaw was still lying in the same spot without moving. He heard pawsteps under him but didn't bother moving. Then the cat under him looked up.

- Wolfpaw, do you know how much the clan have worried, the voice said. It was Beestripe. Wolfpaw didn't answer. He just looked at the tom without listening to him. All of him was suppressed with greiff.

- Come on time to go back to camp, Beestripe said and started to walk back to camp. Wolfpaw followed and just looked forward with blind eyes. Nothing around him materd anymore. The birds chirping in the trees or the smell of prey meant nothing to him. Beestripes' tail flickers when they entered camp. Wolfpaw saw Craneneck walk up to him but he just ignored her and walked over to the apprentice den where he curled up into a ball. He didn't sleep he just laid there.

Over the following moon it was nearly impossible to make him leave the den. He had stopped cleaning himself and his eyes had cataracts over them from being in constant darkness for so long. Wolfpaw didn't care. He had also stopped eating. It was one day when he was laying in the den and he saw Swanflight and Cloudfrost before him that he got up. They talked and after that Wolfpaw got better but any cat who ever knew him knew that he never returned to the same cat he was before Swanflight and Cloudfrost's death.''

Many cats would maybe say that it was strange that he revisited a place with such bad memories. Wolfheart came here and from time to time he caught a glimpse of Swanflight or Cloudfrost. It healed him and he could just leave his worries for some time when he returned to the willow close to the lake. This was where he felt like a kitten again.

Hey everyone. So what do you think? Kinda cliche with dead parents backstory I am aware but this entire thing is kinda cliche so I am just posting it anyways and I don't have the energy to write about parents right now. I hope you all like this chapter and yes I am going to admit this chapter is just kinda filler but still hope you enjoy it and have gotten a new pikture of Wolfheart.
