Still fuming, I pulled out my phone and quickly dialed my dad's number. The line barely rang once before he picked up.
All for One: Izuku, my boy. What's the matter? I thought you were supposed to be at U.A. doing something hero-related.
Me: Yeah, about that... Did you know Shigaraki decided to pull some idiotic stunt at U.S.J. today? He's planning to take down All Might. And get this, he had Kurogiri drag me out of there because he thought it was too dangerous for me.
There was a pause on the other end of the line, just long enough for me to hear my dad let out a low chuckle.
All for One: I was aware of an attack, but I wasn't informed that Shigaraki himself would be leading it. At U.S.J., no less? Ha, the boy really does lack subtlety, doesn't he?
Me: Subtlety? He lacks common sense! The guy thinks he can take down All Might like it's some kind of video game boss fight. And he thinks that cutting me out of the action was a smart move.
All for One: It's almost endearing, in a pitiful sort of way. Shigaraki always did have a flair for the dramatic, but this... this is just pure idiocy. Does he truly believe he stands a chance against All Might with just a Nomu and a handful of misfits?
Me: That's what I'm trying to wrap my head around. He's so delusional he didn't even bother to consider what might happen if—when—this goes wrong.
All for One: I always knew the boy had a certain... unpredictability to him, but this? This is just reckless. I assumed he'd have more sense than to attack without proper preparation.
I let out a bitter laugh.
Me: Preparation? That's a word Shigaraki doesn't even know. I mean, I get that he's pissed off, but this? This is just suicide. And what's worse, he thinks he's protecting me by keeping me out of it. Like I'm some kind of liability.
All for One: Protecting you? The irony of that statement is almost too much. If he truly wanted to protect you, he would've had you lead the operation. You've got more brains in your little finger than he does in his entire body.
Me: Tell me about it. The fact that he thought sidelining me was a good idea just proves how out of touch he is. I'm honestly insulted.
All for One: And he didn't even inform me about the location. It seems Shigaraki's reckless ambition is matched only by his incompetence. What a pity.
Me: A pity, indeed. He's got all this power at his fingertips, and he wastes it on half-baked schemes. It's like watching a toddler trying to run a business.
All for One: He's like a child playing with fire, not understanding that he's going to get burned. It's almost poetic... in a tragic way.
Me: Tragic for him, maybe. For us, it's just frustrating. I swear, Dad, if he screws this up, it could set us back months, if not years.... all that we worked and build up. The peace we have right now... EVERYTHING will be gone....
All for One: Indeed...... It's almost laughable. If he wasn't so irritatingly incompetent, I might actually feel sorry for him.
Me: I'm more annoyed that he thought he could just exclude me like this. As if I'm some kind of side character in his little drama.
All for One: Well, my boy, it seems we've learned something today. Shigaraki is not only foolish but also remarkably short-sighted. I suppose we'll just have to clean up his mess—again.
I sighed, my frustration simmering down into cold resolve.
Me: Yeah... I guess we will. But next time, I'm making sure I'm the one calling the shots. I'm not going to let him drag us down with his stupidity.
