The screen froze once again. "The Iron Man Mark II." Present Mic began. "This suit is a completely revamped design of the Mark I. This suit was built to test Stark's new design ideas that would later become staples for all of his future suits."
As Izuku noted down the new information and watched Stark continue to fly, he couldn't help but smile. He felt something he hadn't felt in years. A feeling he forgot existed. He felt hope. Flight is something that only someone with a quirk could achieve. And yet, here Stark was, quirkless and still flying. This scene made Izuku realize something.
"He really can be a hero." He whispered to himself. As tears began to form in his eyes, he thought that maybe he could be like Stark. Maybe he really could be a hero too.
Eri loved this scene. She already admired Mr. Stark for managing to beat and escape the Ten Rings. As she watched him soaring through the air, her admiration for him grew. He looked so free. Like he could do anything. Go anywhere. She wondered what that felt like.
As Stark flew through the air, he passed by a Ferris wheel. His HUD zoomed in on a kid who dropped their ice cream upon noticing him.
(1:02:48 - 1:03:05)
A few in the audience chuckled.
"I'd be surprised to if I saw a freaking robot fly by." Kaminari said.
"It reminds me of this one time when Izuku dropped an ice cream cone when he saw some heroes nearby." Inko said, much to Izuku's dismay.
After continuing to fly for a bit, Stark then heads straight up. He asks JARVIS what the altitude record for the SR-71 Blackbird is. JARVIS states that it's 85,000 feet, to which Stark responds that records are meant to be broken, and tries to go as high as possible.
(1:03:05 - 1:03:26)
"You already managed a successful flight test, now you're just showing off." Aizawa sighed.
"Can he even make it that high? What happens if he freezes up?" Iida asked.
"Hopefully he's prepared for that." Power Loader said.
"I'd probably try the same thing if I could fly." Toga said thinking this would be a fun experience.
As Stark went higher and higher, JARVIS warned him that the suit was beginning to ice up and it could be fatal. Stark ignored this and told JARVIS to keep going. Eventually the suit completely froze and shut down due to the ice, causing Stark to stall in midair.
(1:03:26 - 1:03:45)
"Uh oh." Mei said as she realized what just happened.
"The fool shouldn't have been so careless." Endeavor commented.
Stark began falling. He called out to JARVIS, telling him to deploy flaps. But JARVIS didn't respond and Stark continued falling.
(1:03:45 - 1:03:57)
"His suit completely shut down. How is he gonna get out of this?" Izuku said.
"Stark's smart. He can't have risked this happening without some sort of fail safe." Melissa said.
"If he does indeed have a fail safe then he'd better activate it quickly." Kurogiri said.
Stark then uses a switch on the suit's right thigh to manually deploy the flaps and break the ice. The suit reactivated and Stark began flying again, narrowly avoiding the ground and a few cars before going back into the sky. He shouted victoriously.
(1:03:57 - 1:04:20)
The audience let out a sigh of relief.
"Phew, he just barely dodged those cars." Ojiro said.
"The man nearly flew too close to the sun." Tokoyami said. "More like the moon." Dark Shadow corrected.
Stark then flies back home and attempts to land on the roof. However, the moment he deactivated the suit, he crashed through the roof and the first floor, all the way down to his workshop where he landed on top of one of his cars.
Dum-E proceeded to help by dousing Stark, much to his annoyance.
(1:04:20 - 1:04:52)
The audience laughed at this.
"Oh what a mess." Inko shook her head.
"Dum-E is so adorable, always trying to help." Uraraka chuckled.
"The way he was flying through the air, you'd forget how heavy the suit must be." Power Loader said.
"Even if he didn't quite stick the landing, that flying was still amazing." Sero said.
Overall the audience loved the whole flight sequence. It was not only cool but it also showed that Stark was one step closer to becoming a hero.
The scene cuts to Stark holding an ice pack on his head.
As he walks through the workshop, he notices a package from Pepper on one of his desks. He opens the package and it's revealed to be a gift for him.
It was the old arc reactor that he told her to get rid of, now presented like a prized possession with the quote "PROOF THAT TONY STARK HAS A HEART" labeled around it. Stark smiled at the gift.
(1:04:52 - 1:05:28)
The audience smiled at Pepper's gift to Stark.
"That's so sweet." Toru said.
"She really does care about him. They're so cute together." Mina said.
'Proof that Tony Stark has a heart'. Izuku took note of the phrase, finding it very meaningful for Stark since at the start of this film, you could say he was heartless. He made weapons of war without a second thought, never considering the lives that would be lost because of him. He was inconsiderate towards others and only thought about himself. But now, despite losing his heart's ability to function without the arc reactor, Stark has shown to have more heart than ever before. He cares about the lives of others and is willing to make sacrifices to protect people. The arc reactor is a symbol. A symbol of when Stark began to change. The arc reactor is indeed proof that Tony Stark has a heart.
The scene changed to Raza watching as his men struggled to put the Mark I back together.
(1:05:28 - 1:05:58)
"Looks like they're struggling to reassemble the Mark I." Momo said.
"Not that surprising. These guys are idiots." Shigaraki said.
"Well, we should be grateful for that." Jiro said.
The scene changed to Stark sitting in front of a computer, listing the various issues he encountered during the test flight.
"Notes. Main transducer feels sluggish at plus 40 altitude. Hull pressurization is problematic. I'm thinking icing is the probable factor." He noted.
"A very astute observation, sir. Perhaps, if you intend to visit other planets, we should improve the suit's exosystems." JARVIS said.
(1:05:58 - 1:06:15)
"Visiting other planets would be amazing!" Mei said.
"I highly doubt that'll ever happen." Power Loader said.
Trixter frowned a little upon remembering what would happen once Stark did indeed manage to visit another planet.
"Connect to the sys. co. Have it reconfigure the shell metals. Use the gold titanium alloy from the seraphim tactical satellite. That should ensure a fuselage integrity while maintaining power-to-weight ratio." Stark told JARVIS.
(1:06:15 - 1:06:26)
"What?" Shigiraki asked.
"I didn't understand any of that stuff." Kaminari said.
"I think that flew over most of our heads." All Might said.
"Stark is making improvements to the suit based on the problems that occurred during the test flight." Nezu cleared up.
JARVIS begins to render the suit.
Stark listens to a female reporter on TV talking about a party that he is technically hosting. He asks JARVIS if they received an invitation and JARVIS confirms that they did not. The reporter then goes on to say that since Stark hasn't been seen in public after the press conference, no one expects him to show up at the party.
(1:06:26 - 1:07:01)
"He's gonna show." Dabi said.
"Obviously." Compress said.
"Honestly, I'm surprised he's managed to lay low for this long." Tsu said.
JARVIS then shows Stark the completed render of the Mark III, being all gold.
"A little ostentatious, don't you think?" Stark commented on the look.
"What was I thinking? You're usually so discreet." JARVIS responded sarcastically.
(1:07:01 - 1:07:09)
"All gold is a bit much." Midnight said.
Izuku and the other students found this scene amusing. It reminded them of how they've sketched different designs for their future hero costumes.
"Honestly I think it's incredible how JARVIS seems to have his own personality, sarcasm and all." Melissa commented on JARVIS saying Stark is always discreet.
Stark then turns to one of his cars, which had a black and red color scheme with flames painted on the sides.
"Tell you what. Throw a little hot-rod red in there." Stark commanded.
"Yes, that should help you keep a low profile." JARVIS once again gave a sarcastic response.
JARVIS then presented the new render of the Mark III, now with red on top of the gold.
(1:07:09 - 1:07:21)
"Now that's a good look." Sato said.
"Red and gold. I like it." All Might said.
"Red makes everything look better." Toga said.
"It certainly does give him a heroic look." Thirteen said.
"The brighter color scheme will also make him more approachable for civilians." Nighteye said.
"I doubt Stark thought that far into it." Aizawa said. "This is just him showing off."
Overall the audience liked the new look.
Stark says he likes the look and tells JARVIS to begin making it. JARVIS tells him that the suit will take about 5 hours to assemble. Stark says to not wait for him as he prepares to leave.
(1:07:21 - 1:07:30)
"Guess he's got some time to crash the party." Izuku said.
"I love parties. One time I snuck into this cute boy's birthday party. It was fun." Toga said.
"You're weird." Kota said.
The scene then cut to Stark driving to the party.
When Stark arrives at the party, he immediately garners a crowd. Obadiah is shown talking to a reporter about how Stark Industries does more than just making weapons.
As Stark walks past the crowd, he pats a man on the back. That man is Stan Lee.
(1:07:30 - 1:08:11)
"By the way guy's, be sure to remember that old man." Trixter said.
"Huh? Is he important?" Izuku asked.
"Not important to the story but he is important nonetheless." Trixter explained. "He is known as the Watcher Informant."
"Informant? So he's gathering information for someone?" Nighteye asked.
"Yes. The Watchers. I'll explain it more some other time. For now, just know that you will see that man appear at various points throughout the MCU. Just call him Stan Lee. Think of him as a sort of easter egg in a video game."
The audience nodded as Izuku noted the first appearance of Stan Lee. 'Appeared at a party Stark wasn't invited to.'
Stark approaches Obadiah and jokes about having to crash his own party. Obadiah, clearly surprised by Stark's sudden appearance, welcomes him.
"I'll see you inside." Stark said.
"Hey. Listen, take it slow, all right? I think I got the board right where we want them." Obadiah said.
Stark agrees, saying that he just had cabin fever.
Stark then enters the party and heads for the bar. Agent Coulson (who is standing at the bar, next to Stark) attempts to speak with him.
"Mr. Stark?"
(1:08:11 - 1:08:40)
"Hey, it's the SHIELD guy." Kirishima said.
"Phil Coulson." Todoroki said.
"Yeah?" Stark said.
"Agent Coulson." Coulson introduced himself.
"Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. The guy from the..."
"Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division."
"God, you need a new name for that." Stark sighed.
"Yeah, I hear that a lot."
Coulson then explains that SHIELD needs to debrief Stark and that time can be a factor when it comes to gathering information.
(1:08:40 - 1:09:00)
"That's true. It's important to get vital information as soon as possible." Aizawa said.
"Indeed. Although I doubt Stark will be very cooperative." Nighteye said.
Stark (who isn't really paying attention to Coulson) spots Pepper. He tells Coulson that he's gonna talk to his assistant (Pepper) and they'll make an appointment for him. Coulson doesn't argue and Stark leaves the conversation.
When he approaches Pepper, he says that she looks great and he barely recognized her. Pepper, surprised to see Stark, asks him what he's doing there. He responds with a joke, saying that he's avoiding government agents.
He then asks about her dress. She says that it was a birthday present from him. He replies, saying he has great taste. He then asks if she wants to dance and even though she said no, he proceeded to dance with her anyway.
The following dance was incredibly awkward.
"Am I making you uncomfortable?" Stark asked.
"No. No. I always forget to wear deodorant and dance with my boss in front of everyone that I work with in a dress with no back." Pepper responded sarcastically.
(1:09:00 - 1:09:54)
"I don't get what the problem is." La Brava said.
"People might think that Stark and Potts are sleeping together. A reasonable assumption considering that Stark is a playboy." Midnight said. "The idea that she's sleeping with her boss could ruin her reputation."
"This scene should be sweet but instead it's just awkward." Mina sighed.
Mineta meanwhile was once again jealous that Stark was getting to dance with a beautiful girl.
"You look great and you smell great." Stark said, trying to ease Pepper's worries.
"Oh, God." Pepper said, feeling even more awkward.
"But I could fire you if that would take the edge off."
"I actually don't think that you could tie your shoes without me."
"I'd make it a week."
"Really? What's your Social Security number?"
"...Five."
"Five? You're missing just a couple digits there." She laughed.
"The other eight? So I got you for the other eight."
(1:09:54 - 1:10:21)
"It's like how Gentle always needs my help with computer stuff." La Brava said.
"And I am grateful for your help La Brava." Gentle said.
"He really should know such important information." Iida commented on Stark not knowing his social security number.
"I guess he just really trusts Pepper." Shoji said.
Stark and Pepper continue to dance awkwardly until he suggests that they go outside to get some air.
The scene cuts to them on a balcony where they begin to argue a little about the dance, with Stark saying that there was nothing wrong with it while Pepper explains why her being seen dancing with him is a problem.
As they stopped arguing, they drew closer to each other, about to kiss...only to back out at the last second (cowards).
(1:10:21 - 1:11:31)
"Aw c'mon!" Mina, Toru, and La Brava shouted.
Stark decides to head back to the bartender to get him and Pepper something to drink.
While he waits at the bar, he is approached by Christine (the reporter he slept with).
(1:11:31 - 1:11:57)
"Hey, it's that reporter again." Kaminari said.
"Christine Everhart." Todoroki said.
"Dude, how do you remember these people?" Kaminari asked.
"It's not that hard." Todoroki answered.
"...Carrie." Stark attempted to guess her name.
"Christine" She said.
"That's right."
"You have a lot of nerve showing up here tonight. Can I at least get a reaction out of you?"
"Panic. I would say panic is my reaction."
"'Cause I was referring to your company's involvement in this latest atrocity."
"Yeah. They just put my name on the invitation. I don't know what to tell you."
"I actually almost bought it, hook, line, and sinker."
(1:11:57 - 1:12:18)
"Why does she seem so upset?" Uraraka asked.
"Maybe she's mad at him for that one night?" Kirishima suggested.
"No." Nezu said. "This is about something else."
"I was out of town for a couple months, in case you didn't hear." Stark tries to explain to Christine that he has no clue what she is talking about.
"Is this what you call accountability?" Christine said before handing him some photos.
She tells him that the photos are of Gulmira. He looks at the photos and sees the Ten Rings with more of his weapons, including the Jericho.
(1:12:18 - 1:12:36)
The audience was surprised to see that the Ten Rings still had Stark's weapons.
"What! But I thought Stark destroyed the weapons they stole from him." Sero said.
"Maybe they had more stored somewhere else." Todoroki said.
"That could be true." Kurogiri said. "Or Stark's company has been secretly giving them the weapons without his knowledge."
The audience wondered if that could really be the case.
"Haven't we heard of Gulmira before?" Jiro asked.
"Yinsen said that's where he was from." Izuku explained.
"Now that I think about it, I've never heard of a place called Gulmira." Iida said.
"Gulmira only exists in this reality." Trixter explained. "There will be places in this world that don't exist in yours. For example, you have an I-Island while this
