Author's Note
Hello everyone and welcome back. With this chapter, we begin Iron Man. Please enjoy.
_______________________________
Everyone looked for the seat with their name on it. They noticed that their seats were divided into three groups. One group in the front, two groups in the back, and one seat in between the back groups. The lone seat had Trixter's name labeled on it. So they were watching the films with them?
Aoyama, Ashido, Asui, Iida, Uraraka, Ojoro, Kaminari Kirishima, Koda, Sato, Shoji, Jiro, Sero, Tokoyami, Todoroki, Hagakure, Bakugo, Mineta, Yaoyorozu, Hatsume, and Melissa all sat in the front group.
Nezu, Endeavor, Nighteye, All Might, Aizawa, Present Mic, Inko, Midnight, Powerloader, Recovery girl, and Thirteen all sat in the back-right group. Present Mic saw a note in his seat.
Mic, I want you to hold on to this note from now on. At some point during the films something strange will happen. When you see the signal I want you to read this note out loud. It'll make sense later.
- Trixter
"Huh?" Mic questioned.
"What's it say?" Aizawa asked.
"It's from Trixter. Says I should hold onto it and read it out loud later." Mic answered as he took his seat.
The final group in the back-left area consisted of Shigaraki, Kurogiri, Dabi, Mr. Compress, Gentle, La Brava, Stain, Spinner, Twice, Toga, Midoriya, Eri, and Kota.
Midoriya couldn't believe his luck. Out of all the seats in the theater, he had to get the ones next to all the villains. As he nervously approached his seat he saw a note, a notebook, and to pairs of glasses that looked kinda like 3D glasses. Midoriya read the letter.
Midoriya, I know you'll want to take notes on the things you see here so I got you this notebook and pen. Also the glasses are for Eri and Kota. They aren't actually 3D glasses but they'll blur out any scenes that are too inappropriate.
- Trixter
Midoriya took the pairs of glasses and handed them to Eri and Kota. "Here Eri, Kota. Trixter wants you two to wear these." Midoriya said.
The two kids put the glasses on. "Everything looks the same, what's the point of wearing these?" Kota asked.
"T-Trixter said to." Eri said timidly.
"Fine." Kota sighed.
Midoriya analysed the cover of the notebook Trixter had given them. 'MCU Analysis' was written on the cover. Midoriya took his seat. He looked to his right and saw the crazy girl, Toga, staring at him.
"Hi, I'm Himiko Toga." She said.
"H-h-h-hi T-T-Toga. I-I-I'm Izuku M-Midoriya." Midoriya was terrified and sweating profusely. Not only was he talking to a villain but also a GIRL?!
"You can just call me Himiko cutie." She gave him a huge smile, showing off her fangs.
Midoriya's face turned red. "O-o-o-okay H-H-Himiko." Midoriya turned away hoping to escape this conversation. Luckily for him, Trixter came to his rescue.
"Well, looks like you've all gotten comfortable." Trixter said. "Now allow me to explain some things about the world of the MCU. This is a world where quirks do not exist." This shocked the audience. "However, 'quirk' is just another name for superpowers. If you look at it that way then I guess there are are some people in this world with quirks, but they are few and far between. Most people in this world are quirkless. Because of this, the Age of Heroes has yet to occur. So you will all get to see how heroes first appeared in this reality." This piqued everyone's interest. "Now then, our journey begins with the hero known as Iron Man." As Trixter said this, the name 'Iron Man' appeared on the screen behind them.
'Iron Man.' Midoriya wrote down the name of the first hero they would see. "Maybe a hero with an Iron Body quirk?" Midoriya said, his curiosity helping him forget about his conversation with All Might.
"Maybe they'll have a quirk like mine. But instead of making their body rock-like, they make their's metal." Kirishima suggested.
"I'm glad to see some of you are already getting interested." Trixter said. "I'll give you all a little hint." everyone leaned foward. "Heroes aren't born. They're built." And with that statement, Trixter moved to their seat and the film began.
_______________________________
The scene begins in Afghanistan, with some military vehicles driving through a desert while Back in Black began to play.
"So we're starting in Afghanistan." Shoji said. "And I guess they're soldiers."
Some of the audience began nodding to the music.
The screen then showed the inside of one of the vehicles. Three soldiers and a man in a suit (Tony Stark) could be seen.
"Who's that?" Kaminari asked.
"How the heck should we know." Sero said.
"Trixter?" Momo asked.
"Sorry but just because I'm here doesn't mean I'm gonna spoil everything for you." Trixter said.
"Well whoever he is, he doesn't seem like he should be there." Thirteen said.
Stark then spoke. "I feel like you're driving me to a court-martial. This is crazy. What did I do?" The soldiers didn't respond. "I feel like you're going to pull over and snuff me. What, you're not allowed to talk? Hey, Forrest!"
"We can talk, sir." The soldier beside him (Jimmy) said.
"Oh, I see. So it's personal?" Stark said.
"No, you intimidate them." The soldier driving said.
"Intimidates them? Why would soldiers be intimidated by some guy in a suit?" Shigiraki questioned.
"Perhaps he's some sort of benefactor, providing them with weapons." Kurogiri suggested. "Suppliers hold some power over their customers so it would make sense that they're intimidated by him if that's the case. Even Giran manages to intimidate some criminals."
"Pfft, like I'd be scared of that weakling." Shigiraki scoffed.
"Good God, you're a woman. I honestly... I couldn't have called that. I mean, I'd apologize, but isn't that what we're going for here? I thought of you as a soldier first." Stark said.
"I'm an airman." The soldier driving said.
"Well you have, actually, excellent bone structure, there. I'm kind of having a hard time not looking at you now. Is that weird?" Stark said, making the soldiers in the vehicle chuckle. "Come on, it's okay, laugh."
"He seems like a pretty chill guy" Jiro said.
"But they're soldiers! He should show them some respect!" Iida shouted.
"Jeez dude, chill out." Kirishima said.
"U-um, my apologies." Iida apologized, remembering that they're in a theater.
"Sir, I have a question to ask." The soldier in the passenger seat said.
"Yes, please." Stark said.
"Is it true you went 12 for 12 with last year's Maxim cover models?"
"That is an excellent question. Yes and no. March and I had a scheduling conflict, but fortunately, the Christmas cover was twins. Anything else?"
"Oh my." Midnight smirked.
Mineta was already jealous of this man who had apparently banged a bunch of models.
Jimmy raised his hand. "You're kidding me with the hand up, right?" Stark questioned.
"Is it cool if I take a picture with you?"
"Yes. It's very cool."
"So he's a celebrity?" Momo wondered why the soldier wanted the mans picture.
"Sounds like it." Aizawa said. "He certainly acts like one."
Jimmy handed a camera to the soldier in the passenger seat. "I don't want to see this on your MySpace page." Stark said as Jimmy put up a peace sign. "Please, no gang signs." Jimmy lowered his hand. "No, throw it up. I'm kidding." Jimmy raised his hand again. "Yeah, peace. I love peace. I'd be out of a job with peace."
"So he is some sort of weapons manufacturer." Power Loader said.
"You know the same goes for all of you heroes, and hero-wannabes. You'd all need to look into new careers if your world had peace." Trixter said. This caught some of the audience off guard. As heroes, it'll be their job to put a stop to violence, but they never considered how they wouldn't be heroes without the violence in the first place. Then again their world is already at peace right? All Might made it that way.
"Come on. Hurry up. Just click it. Don't change any settings. Just click it." Jimmy said. As the picture was about to be taken, something hit and blew up the vehicle in front of them.
The audience jumped at the sudden explosion.
"What happened?" Uraraka asked.
"Some action, that's what." Bakugo smiled. He was glad something eventful was happening.
"What's going on?" Stark asked.
"Contact left!" The driver shouted as she stepped outside only to be shot down.
"What have we got?"
"Jimmy, stay with Stark!" The soldier in the passenger seat commanded as he went out and was shot as well.
"Stay down!" Jimmy told Stark.
"Yeah." Stark said as he ducked down.
"Son of a bitch!"
"Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait! Give me a gun!"
"Stay here!" Jimmy commanded only to be gunned down like the rest.
The audience was horrified at the sight of all the soldiers being gunned down. They hoped a hero would show up to help but then remembered that this reality doesn't have heroes yet.
"I can't watch stuff like this." Inko said as she covered her face.
Midoriya turned to see Eri and Kota shaking in fear. "Trixter, I thought you said the glasses would keep them from seeing anything bad."
"I meant anything sexual. I know this kinda stuff might not be suitable for children but I want them to see the world for what it is, good and bad." Trixter explained. Most of the audience didn't like that Trixter was allowing kids to see something so horrible but they couldn't do anything about it.
"I don't see the problem." Himiko said as she smiled at all the bloodshed.
Stark stumbled out of the vehicle and took cover behind a rock, only for a missile labeled 'Stark Industries' to land next to him.
"Wait a sec, Stark Industries?" Midoriya questioned.
"What is it?" Sato said.
"The soldiers called that man Stark." Recovery Girl said.
"Whoa!" Stark said as he attempted to back away from the bomb, but it exploded before he could get away. As Stark laid on the ground, he tore open his shirt, revealing that the bullet proof vest he had been wearing was pierced by the shrapnel from the missile. He then fell unconscious and the screen faded to white. The next scene showed Stark alive but captured by a mysterious group. Then the screen faded to black.
While everyone was relieved to see that Stark was still alive, they were concerned for his safety now that he had been captured.
"So it looks like Stark was captured by a group of what I assume are terrorists." Aizawa said.
"That seems to be the case." Nezu agreed.
"What are they gonna do with him?" Ojiro said.
"They'll probably want him to supply them with weapons." Power Loader answered.
"Is...Is that man gonna be okay?" Eri asked Izuku.
"I...I'm sure he'll be fine Eri." Izuku answered not wanting to worry the girl.
The next scene was a flash back to Las Vegas, 36 hours before the incident, were a presentation about Stark was being shown. "Tony Stark." A narrator began. "Visionary. Genius. American patriot. Even from an early age, the son of legendary weapons developer Howard Stark quickly stole the spotlight with his brilliant and unique mind. At age four, he built his first circuit board. At age six, his first engine. And at 17, he graduated summa cum laude from MIT." The presentation continued as it showed pictures, magazines, and newspaper articles about Stark's life.
"Wow, this guy's really smart." Melissa said.
"Graduating from college at 17? He must be a real genius." Power Loader added.
"Then, the passing of a titan." A newspaper article about the death's of Tony's parents was shown. "Howard Stark's lifelong friend and ally, Obadiah Stane, steps in to help fill the gap left by the legendary founder, until, at age 21, the prodigal son returns and is anointed the new CEO of Stark Industries." The audience began clapping. "With the keys to the kingdom, Tony ushers in a new era for his father's legacy, creating smarter weapons, advanced robotics, satellite targeting. Today, Tony Stark has changed the face of the weapons industry by ensuring freedom and protecting America and her interests around the globe."
"So Stark's parents died in a car accident and Obadiah Stane became the temporary CEO until Stark turned 21 and was made the official CEO." Midoriya wrote down the information about Stark and his company.
Kota frowned at the fact that both of Tony's parents died. It reminded him of how his parents had died just because they were trying to be heroes.
"I wanna see more of Stark's babies!" Mei announced.
"Don't worry you will soon." Trixter said.
A man wearing military badges (Rhodes) came on stage and began to speak. "As liaison to Stark Industries, I've had the unique privilege of serving with a real patriot. He is my friend and he is my great mentor. Ladies and gentlemen, it is my honor to present this year's Apogee Award to Mr. Tony Stark." The audience clapped but Tony didn't show up. "Tony?"
"He didn't even show up to receive his award? How disrespectful!" Iida said.
"Awards are a waste of time." Aizawa said. "He's probably doing something more important. He does have a company to run."
Obadiah then came onto the stage. "Thank you Colonel" He said as he 'accepted' the award.
"Thanks for the save." Rhodes said.
"This is beautiful. Thank you. Thank you all very much. This is wonderful. Well, I'm not Tony Stark." Obadiah began his speech. "But if I were Tony, I would tell you how honored I feel and what a joy it is to receive this very prestigious award. Tony, you know...The best thing about Tony is also the worst thing. He's always working."
"Of course, he's probably working on a baby as we speak. After all, genius never sleeps." Hatsume said.
The next scene shows Stark in a casino, gambling. "Work it! Come on!"
Everyone's sweat dropped. "You were saying?" Dabi raised an eyebrow at Mei.
"Eh, even geniuses need a break every once in a while." Mei said attempting to defend her fellow intellectual.
"You are unbelievable." Rhodes said.
"Oh, no! Did they rope you into this? I'm so sorry." Stark said.
"Nobody roped me into anything! But they told me that if I presented you with an award, you'd be deeply honored."
"Of course I'd be deeply honored. And it's you, that's great. So, when do we do it?"
"Yes, you certainly seem honored." Gentle said sarcastically.
"It's right here. Here you go." Rhodes handed Stark the award.
"There it is. That was easy. I'm so sorry." Stark apologized.
"Yeah, it's okay."
"Wow! Would you look at that? That's something else. I don't have any of those floating around." Stark said as he handed the trophy to the girl next to him. "Uh, we're gonna let it ride! Give me a hand, will you? Give me a little something-something." Stark held up the dice to the girl next to him as she blew on it. "Okay, you, too." He then held the dice up to Rhodes.
"I don't blow on a man's dice."
"Come on, honey bear."
"I don't blow on a man's dice." Rhodes said as knocked Tony's hand away causing the dice to roll.
"There it is. Lieutenant Colonel Rhodes rolls! And..."
"Two craps. Line away." The dealer said.
"That's what happens." Rhodes said.
"Worse things have happened. I think we're gonna be fine. Color me up, will ya?" Stark said as he, Rhodes, and his bodyguards began leaving.
"This is where I exit." Rhodes said.
"All right." Stark said.
"Tomorrow, don't be late."
"Yeah, you can count on it."
"I'm serious!"
"I know, I know." Stark said as he handed over his award to Caesar. "Render unto Caesar, that which is Caesar's. There you go."
"And then you just give the award away." All Might sighed.
The scene cut to outside the casino where Tony was about to get in his car before being stopped by a reporter. "Excuse me, Mr. Stark! Christine Everhart, Vanity Fair magazine. Can I ask you a couple of questions?" Christine asked.
"She's cute." Tony's bodyguard (Happy) whispered to him.
"She's all right?" Tony asked before turning around. "Hi."
"Of course he only talks to girls that are cute." Toru huffed. She couldn't stand guy's that only cared about looks.
"Hi." She said.
"Yeah. Okay. Go." Tony said.
"It's okay?" Christine said before begin to question Tony. "You've been called the da Vinci of our time. What do you say to that?"
"Absolutely ridiculous. I don't paint."
Some of the audience chuckled.
"And what do you say to your other nickname? 'The Merchant of Death'?" Christine continued.
"That's not bad."
"'Merchant of Death'?" Ochaco questioned the name.
"Because he makes a profit creating and selling weapons of war." Stain explained.
"Let me guess. Berkeley?" Tony said.
"Brown, actually."
"Well, Ms. Brown. It's an imperfect world, but it's the only one we've got. I guarantee you, the day weapons are no longer needed to keep the peace, I'll start making bricks and beams for baby hospitals."
"You rehearse that much?"
"Every night in front of the mirror before bedtime."
"I can see that."
"I'd like to show you first-hand."
"All I want is a serious answer."
"Okay, here's serious. My old man had a philosophy,
