🎤INTRODUCTION

I am Sarah. I can also go by my pen's name, which is shinylights or Kayra_a. I'm currently 21 years old on the way to finish my degree. Writing is my hobby, and it's like an escape boat for me.

🎤What inspired you to start writing?

My best friend. She was the one who first inspired me to write my first book, which we unfortunately lost. I'm trying to recreate it, but I'm not sure if the magic is still there.

🎤When did you start writing?

When I was 13. I was sitting with my best friend during an IT class, completely bored as the teacher was always absent. Then we decided to start writing something to kill time. Doing so for several weeks, our writings turned into a continuous story. Thus creating our first book.

🎤Have you always wanted to be a writer?

Not really, writing came unexpectedly to me. It was just a gift that I discovered, thanks to my best friend.

🎤What comes first the plot or the Characters?

The plot comes first. To start a story, I should have an overall idea on what to write. Like a concept, then the characters. I rarely do outlines, but go mostly with my guts.

🎤What is the most difficult part about writing for you?

Writing about some emotional scenes. Especially if it is about a relationship, it's quite challenging for me to describe them as I've never been in one.

🎤When you're writing an Emotional, Sad, Romantic scene,how did you get in the mood?

I usually listen to sad songs or romantic songs.

🎤What was your most favorite part and least favorite part of the publishing Journey?

Favorite part was the appreciation for the hard work and the writing process. The least favorite part was having someone stealing my work and publishing it on another network.

🎤Did you find it more challenging to come up with your First Book?

Not really. My first work has never really been published, but the others received much love so I can't complain!

🎤How many books have you written? And which is your Favorite?

Well if I count on those which I deleted as well it will be a count of 6 books but currently there are only two published books which are from the same series while the others have been deleted or lost. I'm currently writing one which is quite complex. My favorite is the secrets behind our breakup as one of the main characters is inspired from my best friend and I got to write about her.

🎤Which of your books where most enjoyable to write?

The secrets behind our breakup. It was a roller coaster ride for me, as I had to write about things I barely experienced.

🎤Tell us few things about your first book? What was the journey like?

The first book which was the vampire princess never really got published because back then we were just kids and we wrote it down in a notebook which we lost later on. But I'm currently rewriting it under the name of Royal bond. I hope you guys would love it as it holds immense value for me. Rewriting the story after almost 10 years is challenging, but at the same time enjoyable. My perspectives are different, and so is my writing style.

🎤What advice would you give a new writer, someone just starting out?

Follow your heart while writing. Don't just go with what others say. Also, I would suggest you accept both good and bad criticism, it'll help you grow as an author.

🎤Are you working on anything at the present you would like to share with your readers about?

As I mentioned, I'm currently writing Royal bond and soon I'll begin writing Hello Mr Husband. I hope you all like it because I'm still exploring the waters.

🎤How many plot ideas are just waiting to be written? Can you tell us about one?

I'll tell you about Hello Mr Husband. It's still on the waiting list, but well! It's about the story of a girl who is a billionaire's daughter but life isn't friendly with her, she suffered from various diseases in childhood and got epilepsy. Her dad is very protective of her, but this protectiveness turns into suffocation for her. She gave up on most of her life to try to catch up with the rest of the surrounding people. But things change when her father decides to get her married to his friend's son.

🎤Which was the first book you read?

It's been quite a while, but I'll go with tales from Shakespeare. I used to read since I'm 10 years old and it's too long ago for me to remember the first book I read, but most probably it might be Winx or Barbie.

🎤What is your favorite genre to read?

Romantic novels, fantasy.

🎤Do you read your book reviews? How do you deal with the Good and the Bad ones?

Yes I Do, I just appreciate both and take into consideration the ones that might help me improve.

🎤Who is your Favorite Author?

Charlotte Bronte

🎤Which book is currently on your bedside table?

Jane Eyre, Oliver twist, the mortal instrument series.

🎤Do you have any writing goal in General or just Wattpad?

Not really, I'm currently exploring other platforms as well, which includes Hinovel and webnovel.

🎤Would you like to name any of the good friends you made on Wattpad?
