3rd POV

Vax still hold his sister's lifeless body, hoping that she'll come back and refuse to accept this.

Vax: Sister....

Keyleth holds Vex's hand while sobbing.

Keyleth: Pike, heal her!

Pike tries, but nothing happens.

Pike: There's... Nothing to heal.

Vax: (Sobbing.) SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING!

Soon Kash and Zahra arrive and Kash quickly comes and help.

Kash: Let me see her.

Vax step back as Kash holds Vex.

Kash: We could try resurrecting her.

Pike: A revival rite?

YN: Is that possible?

Pike: I-I've never tried that before.

Kash wasted no time to carve runes on the ground.

Kash: Yeah, not many have. Its hard as hell to pull off, so we gotta do it while the body's still warm. Here, help me.

He finish carving the runes around Vex body.

Kash: (Sigh.) Here we go.

Vax POV

We saw him bit his thumb for blood to mark a rune on her forehead before he gets started.

Vax: This can't be happening. (Angry.) Who was with her?

The carving runes begins to glow around my sister's body as she floats before the yellow glowing magic seals her.

Kash: (Struggles.) She gonna owe me big time for this...if it works.

Soon we realized Kash and Pike are struggle to even seal her.

Kash: Spell's not working.

Pike: Come on. No! Its not working.

YN: Why isn't it working!?

Kash: 'Cause we're inside her temple. This is domain of the Matron of Ravens. She's too fucking strong!

Pike: Our gods have no authority here.

Everyone tries to think of a quick plan to save her but we can't do anything, not while we're in this temple. Even if we leave, the water is keeping us from escaping the temple. Zahra seems to be careless, but I could think of that right now, I just want my sister back.

    Suddenly I saw a giantess figure passing me and slowly approaches towards my sister while everyone but me, isn't aware of her presents. Am I the only one who can see her? My thoughts were interrupted by seeing her finger moving towards the seal that's protecting Vex.

Vax: (Worry.) No...

Soon she manage to crack it easily and it breaks.

All I could hear is my friends muttering but I was to distracted to hear them as I witness her lifting my sister's soul.

Vax: You...

I then notice a glowing string attached to my chest and the other end of the string is attached to my sisters soul.

Vax: (Shock.) What? No.

My sister soul raise enough to her as she looks at Vex's soul. I couldn't loose my sister, so I did the only thing that could save her.

Vax: (Shouting.) TAKE ME INSTEAD, YOU RAVEN BITCH!

She suddenly looks at me emotionless as she grow bigger.

Just with her finger, she lift the string and snaps it before she grew back to normal and leaves.

3rd POV

Kash did his best but fails to save her as everyone mourn for their friend's death.

Kash: I'm...I'm sorry.

Suddenly Vex sits up and gasp for air. This made everyone gasp before Keyleth comforts Vex.

Keyleth: Easy.

YN: Holy shit!

Pike: Oh, thank the Everlight.

Pike sigh in relief before she talks to Kash.

Pike: I can't believe you pulled that off.

Kash: Holy shit, I'm amazing.

Vex: What happened?

Percy: I...I touched the armor.... And you...you were...

Grog: You fucking died.

Keyleth: Grog!

Scanlan: No, like dead dead.

Grog: Yeah. It was crazy. You turned around, and you were just laying dead there stone-cold.

Percy: (Nervous.) Vex'ahlia, it was an accident.

YN: Oh man, let's just be glad she didn't become a fucken zombie like what Delilah did.

Vex: Well...(Chuckles relief.) Fuck.

Keyleth: (To Kash.) You saved her. Thank you.

Trinket rubs his head at Vex, happy to see her alive.

Kash: Well, yeah, yeah, of course. (Grin.) I mean, I'll just say you owe me one.

YN: I don't get it, I thought you guys said your gods have no authority here.

Pike: I...I don't know.

Vex: If I died, then how...

Vex looks at her brother as everyone did the same and they were shock to see him looking different.

Vax is wearing the Vestige.

Vex: Vax?

Percy: The Vestige, when...? How are you wearing it?

YN: More like, since when did you put it on?

Vax: I... I-I don't know.

Vax didn't wasted time to hug his sister, relief to see her back alive.

Vax: I was just worried I'd lost you.

Pike: You okay, Vax?

Vax: Yeah, fine. That was just intense.

YN: Vax, what happened?

Before Vax could say anything, Scanlan cut everyone off by asking Kash and Zahra of why they ditched them. They simply told them that they couldn't find them. After all, why would they come back and help Vex?

Scanlan: Hmm. Fair point.

Zahra: You're very welcome, by the way.

YN: Oh yeah, thank you for not doing anything. But hey, who's arguing?

Grog: Uh, you obviously.

Zahra: Can we please get going?

Keyleth: Oh, sure. Yeah. You lead the way I guess.

Percy: (Helps Vex.) Here. Careful now.

Vex: Thanks, Percy.

Vax looks back to see the statue of the Matron and he only had one question.

Vax: What did I just do?

Time skip

They were on their way back to where they came from while Kash and Zahra are scouting ahead.

Keyleth: Stay close, you guys. I feel like we should be keeping an eye out for traps.

Pike: Pretty sure Grog set them all off on the way.

Grog: Oh, you're welcome.

YN: Still, let's not take those chances while we making our way out. Speaking of which, how are we going to get out? We're still under the water.

Percy: We'll have to figure out soon.

Trinket: Happily growls.

Vex: I love you too, Trinket, but we have to keep up.

Vax POV

As we're making our way back, I heard whispers echoing and notice a room that has gods pictures on the wall.

Vax: Is this the calamity?

Suddenly I saw a vision of a battlefield, everyone's slaughtering each others as I notice the gods are just standing and surrounded the battlefield while just glancing at it.

Vax: Holy shit...are you all seeing this?

Just then, I saw a male Sphinx is also among them.

Vax: The Sphinx's mate.

Soon it reveals the location of the Sphinx where there's a mountain that is split in half. Suddenly I look back and saw a warrior wearing the same vestige as I am while he staring at me. But then I end up back at the temple as I gasp and saw my friends are continuing onward before I catch up with them.

3rd POV

Soon we see Kash and Zahra whispering each other while scouting ahead at a large room

Kash: Z, let it go. We lost.

Zahra: Not yet, we didn't.

Zahra cast her magic to lift them up to a higher ground where no one can see them.

Zahra: They can't just walk away with the Take's property. They wouldn't even know what to do with a vestige.

Soon Vox Machina arrive at the same room but doesn't see them.

Keyleth: Uh, hello? Did we loose them again.

YN: I'm starting to think they don't have sense of directions. I mean look at this place, its huge.

Vex: Let's just find a way out.

Meanwhile with the Slayer's Take. Zahra grabs her necklace and Kash quickly realize what's she planning.

Kash: Wait, are you gonna kill them?

Zahra: (Scoff.) You worry too much, love. (Smirk.) If they're worthy of the armor, well, this will be child's play for them.

Soon she summons a portal above them without any of them aware as something comes out of it. YN's medallion then vibrates as he looks around.

YN: Guys, we got company.

Suddenly they all look behind and saw a giant monster floating behind them as it growls.

Pike: Uh, what is that.

Grog: Oh, shit-

YN: -Fuck.

Grog: Was that back there the whole time?

As soon as it lands, its tentacles hits the ground before it attack them with it from underneath. Everyone quickly got behind the rocks as they get their weapons out.

Pike: Son of a bitch!

Vax: Doesn't feel like the other traps.

More tentacle charges at them as the group spread out.

YN: Either way, we gotta take that shit down!

YN drink his elixir while Percy runs around the monster as he shoots the head, but to no affect

Keyleth: Great. We pissed it off!

Scanlan: We do kind of have that effect on people.

Percy continues to shoot it until he ran out.

Percy: Bollocks.

Pike: I got you!

Pike shields him with Everlight shield, but the tentacles were too strong that it pushes them to the ceiling.

Pike: (Groans.) No, I don't!

YN: Grog, find an opening!

Grog: Got it!

YN charges at the monster while clearing a path for him and Grog. 

But out of his instinct, he quickly jumps high enough before more of them attack him from underneath him. But he still charges at it by running on its tentacles and cutting them off.

this distraction gave Grog the opening as they both charge directly to it. But the creature saw this coming and quickly punches YN from the side.

YN coughs blood and was thrown by the wall.

Grog: YN!

YN: I'm fine, avoid its tentacles!

Grog then jump towards it with his sword ready. It grabbed Grog before pinning him to the wall and does something to him as he struggles to free himself.

Grog: I feel weird!-

Soon it turn him into a statue.

YN: (Shock.) What the hell?

Keyleth: (Shock.) Grog?

Soon more of them attack the others as they're running to avoid the tentacles.

Pike: (Shouting.) He's not dead. I think he's petrified.

Percy: (Sarcastic.) Oh, just petrified? Really!?

Meanwhile with Kash and Zahra, they're both watching everything happening at a safe distance.

Kash: Shit.

Zahra: Would you relax? As soon as they're restrained, I'll wipe the armor, you unfreeze your new friends, and we get the hell out of here.

Back with Vox Machina, Vax hide in cover, looking for any opening until he saw something glowing in red.

Vax: What the...?

His eyes then glows as he's back in the battlefield. Soon he notice someone ahead.

Vax: (Realize.) Purvan.

Purvan didn't say anything as he charges at Vax with his sword. Back to reality, Vox Machina continues to fight the monster, Pike throws her glowing mace, Vex shoots her arrows as Percy did the same with his pepperbox, YN and Keyleth tries to slow it down by freezing it or using Yrden on the monster. But none of it did anything to it until Scanlan cast a giant purple fist and punch it from above as the cloud dust covered everything.

YN: Did that do it?

Then the tentacles attacks them as Vox Machina do their best to avoid them.

Percy: Nothing's working!

YN: We can't get close to it while those tentacles protecting it!

Keyleth then spotted the tentacles were about to grab them but she use the vines to shield them. But the tentacles evaded it and attack them from above. YN saw it and he quickly pushes Percy and Keyleth away with Aard before it caught him and turn him into a statue.

Keyleth: YN!

Before they could do anything, the monster already caught them and turn them into statues. Back with Kash and Zahra, Kash had enough standing around doing nothing while everyone's turning into a stone.

Kash: This is getting out of control. I can't be part of this. I won't!

Zahra: (Groans.) You would betray the Slayer's Take for them?

Kash didn't say anything before he leave and help them.

Zahra: Damn it, Kash...

Kash runs towards Keyleth statue and tries to undo the spell. He then notice tentacles charging at him but Zahra uses her magic to cut them.

Vex: Eyes up!

Vex shoots enchanted arrows at its head before she landed next to them.

Vex: Where the hell have you been!?

Kash: Just grabbing a quick bite to eat.

Two more tentacles charge at them but Kash quickly cast a large shield to protect them.

Kash: What's important is, we're here now.

Zahra: I'll get him back in the locket!

Before she could do it completely, the tentacles grabs her from behind and pins her to the wall as she struggles to free herself.

Zahra: (Grunts.) It was bloody hell capturing you, and I am not-

She couldn't finish her sentences as it turns her into a statue.
