Pike POV

I travel alone to Emon and the city still burns while remaining civilians are in a line. Carrying anything that values for the dragon. Soon I head toward the front as the fire dragon emerged out of the fire.

Thordak: (Disappointed.) Your offering grow ever smaller.

After he finished, the other dragons appear around him as everyone gasp.

Thordak: I trust the remaining treasure has been wrung from Emon?

Raishan: As you commanded, Thordak. Every last ounce delivered to your feet.

Umbrasyl: And Wetruun is on the brink of ruin, my king.

Thordak: More are soon to follow. And once all is in order, the entire realm shall quake in our shadow.

Soon he looks at all of us and speaks.

Thordak: As for your kind, it seems your useless baubles are no longer needed.

Pike: Run! Run!

Civilians gasp and drop their valuables before they desperately run for their lives. But soon he immediately breathes a fire at everyone. Wiping out everyone before I immediately wake up from my meditation as I breath heavily.

Grog: Whoa, whoa. Are you okay?

Pike: (Panting.) No. The dragons, they're moving. Expanding across Tal'Dorei.

Grog: Uh, you saw 'em in your head?

Pike: A vision granted by the Everlight. The red one. The others called him Thordak. He just....wiped them out. I...I couldn't save them...

Keyleth POV

Grog comforts Pike as she sobs quietly while everyone is worried.

Keyleth: I know we come from all over even from another world for YN, but Emon was the first place that accepted us. It kind of felt like our home.

Percy: They even gave us a title.

Vex: And we'll live up to it, once when we find the tomb and that fucking vestige.

Suddenly we see Vax appear and landed close before telling us the good news.

Vax: Well, I've got good news and bad news on that front.

Scanlan: 'Kay. Good stuff first.

Vax: I found the lake Osysa told us about over the next ravine.

Vex: Fantastic. Let's go.

Percy: Wait. (To Vax.) The bad news?

Vax was quiet at the moment until he breaks it.

Vax: Come see for yourself.

The group nods and follows Vax, but I notice YN was sitting quietly by the tree.

Keyleth: Hey, YN?...YN? YN.

YN: Huh? Oh, hey.

Keyleth: Are you okay? You've been quiet ever since.

YN: Its nothing. Just got distracted. Did Vax came back?

Keyleth: Yeah, he said he found the lake.

YN: Oh, that's good.

YN gets up before we catch up to the others.

Keyleth: Still thinking about what Osysa said to you?

YN takes a deep breath before he answers.

YN: Yes...she knows about my past, even...

Keyleth: (Confused.) Even what?

YN: Uh, that's all I got. Let's just join the others and find the vestige.

YN walks ahead to join, but I was curious of what Osysa knows of his past. Is there something secret he has what he can't share?

3rd POV

Soon everyone arrived to the lake, but the entire lake is frozen in ice. Pike uses her Everlight to see if there's any magic near.

Keyleth: No tomb.

Vax: No temple, no ruins, no nothing.

YN: Well, there's ice. That's gotta be something.

The twins roll their eyes before Pike speaks up.

Pike: Its not an illusion, either. Did the Sphinx lie to us?

Vex: It must be across the lake.

Vex was about to walk on the ice but Vax stops her by grabbing her arm.

Vax: (Serious.) Where do you think you're going?

Vex: We can still make it by nightfall.

YN: No, this is way too easy. There's no way this is like buying a bow or some.

Vex: (Scoff.) Oh please.

Vax: He's right, this is a Vestige of Divergence we're talking about. I doubt it'll be waiting for us wrapped in gift paper. We have to be careful around here. All of us.

Scanlan: (Smirk.) Not to worry. Here. I'll slide over and check it out.

YN: (Whisper to Vax.) Ten gold coins says that he'll slip on the ice.

Vax could help but chuckles as Scanlan create a large magic feet before he slides across the ice lake.

Scanlan: Whoo hoo hoo hoo! Yeah! Hehe! Whoo! I love having a foot fetish with- whoa!

Scanlan almost lost his balance for the moment. Soon he heads back while having fun.

Scanlan: (Laughs.) Guys, this is the best!

Suddenly he lost his balance and fell of the foot before landing on the ice. The groups laughs at his fail while Vax secretly gives YN ten gold coins.

YN: (Smirks.) Thank you.

Vax: Shut up...

Scanlan: Uh, something just moved under the ice.

Scanlan then saw something move under the ice again as he looks around.

Scanlan: Weird.

Keyleth: Scanlan? What's going on out there?

Scanlan: Uh, I, uh, its fine. I'm sure this ice is...super thick. (Gets up.) I'll just recharge the old Scan-juice.

Just when he was about to, something breaks through the ice, revealing a humanoid hand as it grabs Scanlan ankles and tries to pull him in the water.

YN: Oh, shit!

Grog: Hold on, Scanlan!

Grog was gonna go but the ice easily breaks the moment he steps the ice. Luckily Pike and YN pulls him up. Percy was about to do the same but realize the ice may be thin.

Percy: Shit. Keyleth, can you, I don't know, be a bird or something?

Keyleth: A bird? How does that help!?

Scanlan swims back up and beathes.

Scanlan: Anyone!? 

The hand appear but before it was about to grab him, a glowing spear hit its hand so powerful that it tore it of the creature as I the spear disappear. Soon a red glowing magic surrounded Scanlan before it lifts him up and safely brought him back to his group.

Scanlan: (Panting.) Close fucking call. Oh, which on of you guys saved me?

???: That would be us.

Vox Machina turn around to see Zahra and Kash who are smirking at them.

Zahra: Hello.

Keyleth: Kash? Zahra? What are you...?

Kash: Osysa thought you might need our help. Obviously, she was right?

Vax: (Sarcastic.) How generous.

Vex: (Sarcastic.) Oh, so generous.

YN: So you guys finally decided to step up. What, they didn't have enough hay for you sheeps back home?

The twins chuckles while Zahra and Kash ignores him.

Kash: Well, at least Antlers here is happy to see me, right?

Keyleth: (Blushes.) Well, yeah. I mean...

This made YN a bit jealous big shrugs it off, not showing them weakness while Scanlan ask what just grabbed him.

Kash: Adaro. Fish people. They hunt at dusk. Better wait till morning to find the tomb.

Vax: (Curious.) You know about the tomb?

Zahra: (Smirks.) Oh, we're full of secrets. Which we'd be happy to share as soon as you make us a campfire.

Time skip to nightfall.

Everyone gathered around the campfire for Kash explain about the tomb. It was built for the Matron of Ravens, the Goddess of Death. Enshrines her ancient champion who is the highest of her order and striking fear at the hearts of her enemies.

Kash: His name is Purvan.

Vex: (Spits her drink.) Perv on?

YN: (Laughs.) The legendary perv of her order.

Scanlan: (Laughs.) Last name Pedobear, maybe?

This made Vox Machina laugh.

(YN next between Vax and Keyleth.)

Vax: (Smirk.) I mean, you've got to get your perv on.

Kash: (Disappointed.) Wow, you guys suck.

YN: (Laugh.) Oh please, you bastard did the same to us, last I check.

Zahra: Laugh, but Purvan Suul gave up everything for his god. She won't let her treasures go so easily.

Vex chuckles and notice Zahra necklace she's holding.

Vex: Speaking of treasures, where did you pick that beauty?

Zahra: Oh, this old thing? Well, I had to kill a demon for it. (Smirks.) Don't be jealous.

Vex: Not at all. In fact, we just picked up quite a haul of magical items. Didn't we, Scanlan?

Scanlan: (Confused.) Huh? You mean that shit we took from Gilmore's?

Vex: (Disappointed.) Yes, obviously, the shit we took from Gilmore's.

Vex takes the bag from Scanlan and dumps out all of the items they got from Gilmore's but they weren't impressed by the items they got.

Zahra: (Sarcastic.) Ooh, a broom. Marvelous. Oh, you have such a keen eye for value.

Vex: (Frustrated.) Shut it, Zahra.

YN: All those things you all got ain't nothin'. I killed a tons of insectoids for its venom, useful it for my arrows.

Kash: (Chuckles.) That doesn't sound tough.

YN: They travel in packs and some can be bigger than Grog. Plus one drop of its venom and you'd probably die.

Kash: Uh...okay?

Vex angrily throws it away but grog catches it before he digs something out of the bag until he find the belt.

Kash: Well, that's an interesting and yet chunky belt. What's it do?

Grog: Uh...hmm

Grog gets up before putting it on. In an instant, he grows a beard.

Grog: (Gasp and smiles.) I got a beard!

YN: Wait what!? Grog, trade back!

Grog: No, its mine!

YN: (Depressed.) Damit....

Pike: Uh, you already have a beard.

YN: Yeah, but they don't grow that fast like his.

Kash: (Chuckles.) That's all?

This made Grog mad and he approaches him.

Grog: I. Got. A. Beard!

Kash: (Nervous.) Okay. That....its awesome.

Grog: (Smiles.) Zing!

Zahra: Anyway, the Slayer's Take assumed the tomb was destroyed centuries ago. Turns out its still there.

Percy: (Smirk.) You mist be fairly annoyed that Osysa told us about before you.

This made her glare him while her left eye twict from anger until she wipe that glare off of her and smiles.

Zahra: Hadn't crossed my mind.

Short time skip.

Everyone sleeps while the twins are up on the trees awake.

Vex: They followed us. We obviously can't trust them.

Vax: Zahra and Kash? No. And we can't take any more chances tomorrow. Sister...do not go far from me.

Vex: (Comforts him with a smile.) You've been saying that our whole life. I'll be fine. Gets some sleep.

Vax nods before he sleeps and soon she did too.

Time skip to morning.

Scanlan and Grog are having a pee break while the rest are by the lake with Kash showing them the map.

Kash: We pulled this from the Slayer's Take archives. Now see if you can follow me. (Points the map.) Lake. Tomb.

YN: Oi, lad. We're not kids here.

Kash: Just pointing out where the tomb is.

Vax: Then your map's wrong. Look, the tomb here is upside down.

Zahra: Osysa is older than time. She doesn't make mistakes. Perhaps the tomb....isn't upside down.

YN: It could be under the water then. Like Atlantis.

Vax: The what?

YN: In my home world, there is an ancient city we call it the Atlantis. but the sea flooded it centuries ago and became ruins.

Zahra: Hmm, in that case.

Zahra uses her magic on the icy lake, soon her magic glows red under the lake, revealing tomb.

Zahra: Voilà!

Percy: Its underwater. Right. So I supposed everyone grab a bucket and we'll have this emptied by springtime.

YN: Right. And the Chroma Conclave will take over half of the realm by the time we're halfway done.

Kash: Actually, we were thinking. Earth, wind and fire here could assist.

Everyone looks at Keyleth as she looks behind her but saw no one until she realize he means her.

Keyleth: Oh, me? Oh...um...

YN: I'll melt the ice.

YN uses Igni aka fire magic to melt the whole ice before letting Keyleth and Zahra do the rest. 

Keyleth: So, I-I'm not great with water yet.

Zahra: Don't worry, just use wind. I'll hold it back. Ready?

Keyleth nods and uses her wind magic to push the water away. It was struggling for her but she manage to push it enough to reveal the entrance of the tomb. Soon Zahra uses her own magic to hold the water from flooding.

Keyleth: This is...very cool.

Zahra: (Struggles.) Everyone down. Now!

They wasted no time and run to the entrance. Grog tries to push it open until Scanlan stops him.

Scanlan: Uh, beardie? This one's a pull.

Grog: Oh. (Opens the door.) After you.

Grog let's everyone enter before he does. Soon the magic could hold anymore and Grog closes it before the water falls back.

Keyleth: Ugh. Smells like fish and death.

Pike uses her Everlight for the crystal lights to shine their path. Soon the Matron's champion relief on the walls before they continue.

Vax: Keep your eyes sharp. There will be traps, and they will be deadly.

Vex: (Smirks.) The deadlier the traps the richer the reward.

YN: Word of a advice, Vex, keep your expectations low so you won't be disappointed if there isn't any loot.

Vex: (Shrugs.) Fair enough.

Vax: (Sigh.) Just keep close.

Grog then notice the button on the floor and he walks over it-

Grog: (Smiles.) Oh. Don't wanna trip on this.

Grog steps on it and it triggered a trap that almost killed Vax as he glares at Grog.

Grog: (Innocent.) Found a trap.

YN smack his head while Zahra and Kash were disappointed of how they're reckless. Soon they slide down to the next room and Keyleth slips but Kash caught her before she fell.

Kash: (Smirks.) Hi. Lucky I was here.

Keyleth: (Chuckles nervously.) I-I am. Was lucky. I mean I...um...yep.

YN looks at Keyleth and Kash, sighing out of jealous until Grog accidentally triggers another trap that almost killed himself before he slipped towards the other group.

YN: Grog!

Grog: That might've beeny fault.

Soon they notice the trap drops a large brick between them as Vex tries to stop it.

Vex: No, no, no!

The brick shuts, separate them to two groups. Vax, Kash, Keyleth, Scanlan, and Percy are one side while the rest are at the other side.

Vax: Vex! Vex! Can you hear me?

Kash: Oh, save your voice. We'll find another way around. Come on.

Vax: Vex, stay where you are! I'm coming!

At the other side, they could rarely hear his muffled words.

Zahra: Well, no use waiting around here.

Pike: (Groans.) I guess we're stuck with her.

YN: Let's just find another way. And for fuck sakes, stop pushing any traps.

They continue to move deep as it gets darker the further they go until Pike uses her Everlight on the crystals again, only to see the stairs leading toward the water. They head down as the water raise up to their waist. Unfortunately for Pike, it was too high for her as it reaches up to her chin.

Pike: Uh, waters...a little high.

Thankfully Grog supports her by carrying her on his head like father carrying their kids.

Grog: (Smiles.) Get up there, Pike.

Pike: (Chuckles.) Yeah.

They continue onward as Grog saw his reflection on the water.

Grog: (Smirk.) Damn, I make this look good! Oh yeah!

Grog show off his muscle while the other three are walking ahead. They were both quiet until Vex notice YN was a bit worried about the others.

Vex: Hey, don't worry about her, YN.

YN: Huh?

Vex: I mean Keyleth.

YN: Oh, right. Keyleth... I'm sure they'll be fine.

Vex: (Chuckles.) Well you seem worry too much, you do like her after all.

YN: (Blushes.) A-as a friend, obviously. Look, let's just focus on our task here. Last thing we want is another booby traps here.

Vex: Wait, look at this.

They found a large handprint on a stone, Vex touches is to see its fresh blood.

Vex: Well, that's not ancient.

Zahra: It seems something moved into this tomb after it sank.

YN: Whatever it is, I highly doubt its alone here. Keep your guard up.

Pike then smell something disgusting before she pinches her nose.

Pike: Ugh, Grog, did you just fart?

Grog: Like, how recently?

Trinket roars while YN medallion vibrates.

Zahra: Uh, your medallion is vibrating.

YN: Something's in this room with us!

Suddenly an adaro jumps out of the water and grabs Pike before jumping back in with her as she yells.

Grog: Pike?

Another adaro jumps out and attacks Grog.

Zahra: More Adaro!

More of them appear out of the water and attack them as they fight back. Zahra use her magic to blow one head of while Vex blocks the other Adora sword with her bow before kicking it away. More of them come and charge at YN who was calm yet more focus.

4 more surrounded him, but YN uses Igni to burn them before he kills them.
