Today was possibly one of the most nerve-wracking days of all.

Career Day.

The possibilities you thought in your head terrified you. Some of them were irrational but honestly irrational has been a word that means nothing to you because of all the things that had happened.

Irrational was now possible and it terrified you.

Everyone kept talking about what they wanted to be when they grew up but you were lost in your own thoughts to notice. All you heard was how Ms. Bitters was giving out tests to determine your career.

Typical.

As she passed you the test you started at it blankly. This test was literally the worst idea. Ink Blobs determining your career? What a joke.

Although you went with it and jotted random things that seemed appealing to you. Once you were done you couldn't help but smile at your choices. To be honest you were pretty proud. "Times up! Pass your papers forward." She hissed as you passed your paper up. "The machine will now decide your fate." You sat in your seat the anticipation killing you. She announced everyone else's career. You did however listen in when she mentioned Dib's Name. "Dib...you will be a Paranormal investigator." You smiled as he rejoiced upon hearing his career.

"Y/N...you will be a Magician." You were flabbergasted. "Uh what?" You asked rising from your seat. "Y/N get back in your seat." You sat back down and huffed. A Magician? This was a joke right?

......R-right?

Eventually everyone got out of the classroom to look for their chaperone for the day. As you looked for yours, a woman in fishnet stockings with knee high boots and a tux approached you.

"Hello! Are you Y/N?" She asked smiling brightly. "Yes ma'm." You responded. "My name is Casey! I'm so excited to spend the day with you!" She said happily. You smiled weakly. You were a little nervous and not to mention a little disappointed about your career. But Casey did look very happy and sweet so maybe things didn't seem so bad.

You walked outside following her to her car as her heels clicked against the floor. She opened the door for you gesturing you to get in. "T-thank you ma'm." You say getting in the car. "No problem!" She replied getting in the drivers seat. "Now," she turned her head to face you. "Would you like to go out to get something to eat or drink first? My treat!" She asked smiling. "Maybe some (Favorite Drink) please." You respond back. "Of course!" She replied before driving to the nearest gas station.

Later that day, you had finish your drink and this time you were on your way to the actual stage where she rehearsed. Once you arrived, you climbed out of the car and followed her there as she grabbed the keys and unlocked the door to the stage. And with a pull of a lever, the lights turned on the stage one by one. "Here we are! I should go get the props! I'll be right back." She exclaimed speed walking to the back to grab her stuff.

She came back with scarves, A large box, rings and cards. "Okie Doki! I think we're ready to get started." She added clapping happily to her self. Your first thought was "This was going to be a disaster."

And it kinda was. You couldn't nail the tricks she taught you no matter how hard you tried, but Casey didn't seem to mind at all. She kept giving you a patient smile and led you through it. "Have you always wanted to be a Magician?" You ask picking up a prop from the floor. "Yes! Ever since I was a little girl actually. What about you?" You didn't answer for a bit. "I-I actually didn't expect this to be my chosen career. I know I can change my options but I don't know what I want to be. All I know is that I want to make the world a better place. And I'll do whatever is meaningful to me that makes me feel like I'm making a difference." Casey smiled softly. "Well said."

You proceed to try and try again, but it was just so confusing to you. Later you sat at the edge of the stage eating your packed lunch sadly. You heard someone walking behind you and sitting next to you. "I'm horrible at this. I'm no Magician." Casey sighed. "You're right. I don't think you are a magician." You turned your head to face her with your glum face. "Oh dear, I didn't mean it like that...What you said earlier," She began. "What about it?" You asked. "I think you're cut out for something far more greater! And whatever that might be, you're going to do big things." She said smiling and ruffling your hair. You smiled back. "Now how about we go and get some ice cream from Mac Meaties? I hear it just came out and it's really good!" She said in a sing song type voice. "Sure! What could possible go-"

You looked out the car window horrified. As you later got to Mac Meaties green slime was dripping from the windows and through the windows people were covered moaning in pain. You got of the car quickly upon seeing Dib. He didn't look very happy though. "What the heck happened?!" You asked him as he turned to face you. "Zim molted horribly! Y/N you should have seen it! It was everywhere!" A molt? Your mind began racing on what to do at this very moment.

You decided to go inside to see if Zim was alright. "Y/N? Where are you going?" You heard Dib say behind you. You didn't respond though as you struggled to open the door. Your eyes met Zim's and you ran up to him. "A-are you ok? I heard you went through a Molt." He crossed his arms. "This molt was normal for your information and it comes with my horrible skin condition." He responded but your expression clearly showing you knew it wasn't true soon changed his answer. "...I'm fine." He replied. You smiled. "Good." As you walked out you skipped happily. You had finally got him to communicate with you. This was just one step closer to turning his objectives and saving mankind your own way.

And you didn't need a machine this time to tell you how you would do it.

(A/N: Eeeeh finally the chapter is out! Now I'm sorry if the grammar sucks again. But please enjoy this chapter.)
