(Wait to play video!)

You flew around with Nightshade. Nothing looked off as you both patrolled. Nightshade didn't notice anything either. You pet her with a smile.

"Well, girl. That's all that we needed to check over. Let's head back." She barked and turned around. You both hurried back to the Edge.

You got back and you saw that Arrow was training in the dome. You flew down and said hello to him. He called back before throwing his ax at one of the targets and hitting it dead on. You walked over to him as he yanked it out of the target.

"Hey, have you seen Hiccup? I need to tell him about my report." You asked.

"Uh, yeah. I think he was still in his hut. Probably still working on his Inferno sword." Arrow replied.

"Thanks, Arrow!" You called, rushing over to Nightshade and hurrying off.

"No problem!"

You made it to Hiccup's hut and knocked on the door. He opened it a moment later. He smiled as he saw it was you.

"(Y/n)! You're back from patrol already?" He asked.

"Yep. Calm waters on my part. Nothing out of the ordinary." You replied with a smile. He nodded.

"That's good. So, other than that, what brings you here?" You walked inside and looked around.

"Nothing. I just wanted to tell you how my patrol went. Arrow said that you were still working on your Inferno sword. How's it coming along?" You asked.

"Amazing! It'll be fit for battle soon!" He replied. You chuckled.

"Well, flaming or not you still can't win against me in a fight."

"Oh? You think so?" He asked with a grin.

"Yep!" He grinned and quickly tackled you to the floor.

"Ha! I don't even need it to win!" You smirked and lifted your legs up. They wrapped around his waist and he paused, blushing hard. "H-hey, w-what are you-?" You twisted your legs, slamming him onto the floor and quickly pinning him down.

"You were saying?" He struggled, but your grip held firm. "You might've been strong enough to floor Snotlout, but you're not stronger than me, Hiccup." He chuckled lightly.

"Yeah, I know." The tone of his voice threw you off.

"What? What do you mean?" You asked. He looked up at you.

"I know how skilled you are. You've trained and you trained your own family. I didn't lie when I said you're the strongest person I know. You always manage to impress me and I wouldn't have that any other way." You laughed a little in disbelief.

"I'm the strongest person you know? What about your father?"

"Okay, second strongest. I don't think anything could kill my dad." You both chuckled and you let him up. However, you'd accidentally knocked his leg loose during the scuffle and he tripped. He fell and you caught him. That didn't pan out for you however as he fell on top of you and flattened you on accident. You both moved to get up, but that's what killed you. Your lips brushed his and both of you were now nose to nose. Your faces burst out red, your cheeks burning vividly.

Hiccup scrambled off of you as fast as he could. He quickly offered his hand to help you sit up. You were still extremely embarrassed and Hiccup hurled apologies as you.

"G-gods, I-I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to fall! Well, of course I didn't mean to fall, but I didn't mean to kiss you. N-not that it was really a kiss, but, um, I-I...uh, gah! N-nevermind! Just sorry! I'm sorry." He rambled on. You frowned at how he reacted.

"N-no, it's...it's fine. I understand. You didn't mean to." You said, sitting up and looking away from him. You tried to hide the hurt, but your tone had already given it away. He frowned.

"Hey, are...are you okay?" You looked at him. You said nothing as you got up.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I should probably get going." He stood up after fixing his leg.

"W-wait! You don't have to leave." He said quickly.

"It's okay. I have some stuff I need to do anyway." You told him. "I'll see you later." You left and neither of you said a word as you walked out. You hopped on Nightshade and went over to your hut. You sighed heavily, collapsing onto your bed. "What am I doing, girl?" You groaned through your pillow. She grumbled, nudging your leg. You looked at her before huffing and getting up. "This is gonna drive me insane, isn't it?" Nightshade whined and you huffed again as you got up. "Come on, let's go see what the others are doing."

You both took off, beginning to survey the Edge. As you were looking around, something off in the distance caught your eye. You peered out and you were surprised as you saw Jahlin flying in on Riverlilly. He was coming in fast and both he and his dragon looked panicked. You hurried to meet him as he landed at the stables.

"Jahlin! What's wrong? Did something happen?" You asked.

"It's the Hunters! The A-team and your family went out on two separate patrols, but neither came back! We went for a recon mission, but we were ambushed by more ships than we could handle! The A-team, your family, my team...they were all captured!" You felt your heart skip a beat.

"How is that even possible? Berk has more dragon riders than the Edge! Are you sure that the other two teams were captured?"

"Yes! I saw your brother on one of the decks! They used two separate fleets, captured the two patrols first, and then joined together to overwhelm my search party!" He exclaimed.

"Did you see where they were headed?"

"They were headed more in this direction, but they split off, going away from the Edge as soon as they were out of the Archipelago." You nodded.

"With all of those dragons and enemy riders, they'd be heading to an island for better cells and more materials for better transport. If we hurrying, we can catch them before they leave and split up the teams taking them to islands that we'll never find." He nodded. "Come on, we need to tell Hiccup right away."

You both hurried off on your dragons and went to Hiccup's hut. You rushed in, not wasting a moment. "Hiccup!" He turned quickly.

"(Y/n)? Jahlin? What's going on?"

"All of the Berk Riders have been captured!" Jahlin said quickly.

"What!? How?" Hiccup exclaimed.

"Fleets were waiting for patrols to ambush them. The only Riders that are left are Jahlin and your father." You explained.

"We need to get them back! Come on, we need to get the others." He quickly scribbled something down on a piece of paper.

"What are you doing?"

"Sending a Night Terror to my father. We're going to need all the Riders we can get." He said as he gave the note to a Night Terror and sent him off.

You all went to get the others. After Hiccup had explained what was going on and given everybody the run-down, Stoick arrived. Together, you all set off with Jahlin leading the way to save your friends and family.

Ash's POV

*Meanwhile*

"Let us go!" I shouted.

"Not today, hot shot~" I glared at the girl who said that. Jahlin's team was on a different ship. Our dragons were on a different ship too. They'd completely excluded us.

"You all are going to be perfect news for Viggo. Berk will be defenseless when they all come chasing after you and it'll be easy to take over it. Even the chief will be on a goose chase. And you're little sister will finally become my pet~"

"(Y/n) won't ever love you, Leon!" I shouted.

"She doesn't have to love me to be mine. Once I capture her and make her my toy, her brilliant mind will be for our use and our use alone. Viggo will praise me for that. She's clever, even more so than Hiccup. She's just learned to follow him around like a lost dog.  Once I break that part of her, she'll be the perfect ally."

"She'll never break and she'll never join you," Zane said calmly. I had to admit, I admired how he could keep himself collected. I wanted to rip Leon apart.

"What makes you so sure?"

"Because our sister is stronger than you'll ever know or you'll ever be," Zane told him strongly, still keeping his composure. Leon glared at him and punched him in the gut through the bars.

"Stronger than that, smart guy?" He asked and walked away with his little girlfriend right behind him. Carl and Kent helped Zane up.

"You okay, bro?" Carl asked him. He nodded.

"I'll be fine. It was to prove a point. They'll get here in time and we'll tell them what's going on. We'll get back to Berk and do our jobs right." We nodded.

"I just hope Jahlin gets to the Edge in time," Cala said worriedly.

"He will. I trust him." Zane replied.

"So do I. He was brave enough to stand up against Leon before for (Y/n) and the others, he'll do it again," I added.

"I hope you boys are right. We're putting all our faith in him. I hope he doesn't double-cross us." Cala sighed.

"He won't, Cala. I know it." Zane told her. For once, I could agree with him. I always wanted to protect my younger sister and keep her safe, but she was stronger than any of us. I knew it, we could all see it, the only thing was that...she needed to learn how to use it.

Veera's POV

I followed after Leon as we went up onto the deck. I knew that he'd planned it out perfectly, but Viggo had said the same thing for his plans, and some had failed recently. I was hoping he'd listen to some of my ideas as fail-safes.

"Leon, if I may, I have some suggestions that could help make sure that we succeed." He sighed heavily.

"Veera, you are my fighter, you know everything about combat. I need you to focus on that. Besides, once we have (Y/n), we'll have all of the brains we need out of a girl. Your ideas won't be needed." I was stunned. He turned and walked away without another word. I frowned.

"But...I..." I wanted to say something, but my feelings for him made me stay quiet. I simply turned back around to give orders to some of the men. "Take the first watch on our...guests," I told them with a grin. They nodded and headed below deck. I walked to the edge and called over to our other ships. "Status!"

"Dragons and Riders locked down tight, Ma'am!" One called.

"Keep an eye on them! We can't risk anything!"

"Right away!" He called back and ordered some men to watch the dragons. On the next ship over, they made sure the Jahlin's traitors were secure. I nodded in approval and I took my post at the back of the ship, overlooking everything.

As I did this, I saw Leon talking with Kahn. I frowned. He trusted Kahn more than he trusted me. I remembered when he'd told me that he cared about me more than most. I had never felt so happy in my life. Ever since Viggo mentioned (Y/n), he's been acting differently. He hasn't been telling me certain things and he's always talking about how important (Y/n) is. Honestly? It made me hate the brat even more. I just wanted to get rid of her and get Leon to pay attention to me again. Things were better when she wasn't around. And I'll make sure they're like that again.

Your POV

As you were flying, you began to feel like something wasn't right. Why would Viggo capture all of the Riders on Berk and not go to try and do it to the Edge next? It didn't make much sense to you. If he was smart enough to capture all of them, why wouldn't he try for the rest of you? Too much risk? You wondered.

Then, a thought occurred to you. It frightened you and sent chills down your spine. You reacted fast.

"WAIT!" They all stopped turning to you. Hiccup looked alarmed and concerned.

"(Y/n)? What is it? What's going on?" He asked quickly.

"While we're all out here...Berk is defenseless." You pieced together. They all looked at each other in alarm.

"What are we going to do? We need all our dragons to fight off that many ships!" Fishlegs said.

"But we can't leave Berk with no Riders," Stoick added.

"I should've known there was more to this. We don't have a choice but to split up. Let's just hope we can free the rest of the Riders before Berk could be overwhelmed." Hiccup said.

"Jahlin, you lead the way to the ships. Dad, you take Arrow and the twins with you. Hopefully, it'll be enough to hold off an attack long enough for us to get the rest of the Riders."

"Right. Goodluck, all of you. We'll be seein' you again soon with any luck." Stoick replied. He took Arrow, Ruff, and Tuff with him as you all kept going. As you flew along, Nightshade suddenly stopped.

"Whoa, girl! What is it?" She sniffed around. You held on as she changed direction. "They turned! She's got a scent! Come on!" You called. The others hurried after you as Nightshade swiftly led the way. I really hope this is the right way and I REALLY hope we get there in time.

Leon's POV

My plan was working perfectly. No Riders had shown up and we were closing in on the island. The island ahead was our pit stop to separate the cargo once and for all. Once that happened, we'd be in the clear and (Y/n) would have no choice but to surrender herself to me to save her family. That little girl would do anything for those idiots. I could tell that much from the start. Caring too much was her strength and her greatest weakness. It gave her power in a fight, but it would end up killing her in a bargain.

As I watched over my ship, looking at the island ahead, Kahn came up to me once again. We'd talked about the plan once more and he agreed with me completely. I listened to his ideas. They were good ones, but they would also be less of a requirement once (Y/n) was under our control.

"Leon, what if they reach the island as we're switching ships?" He asked.

"Relax, Kahn. I've planned this out perfectly. We're going to be fast with the transfer and it will go through easily. I'm sure that our merchants won't have a change of heart. It will be easy to persuade them to change back if they have. Nobody does like losing limbs after all. Or better yet, nobody likes losing their lives." I growled with a grin on my face. I love it when others submit. One of these days, I'll be able to work beside Viggo, not for him. I will be stronger than ever and Hiccup will die for his outrageous crimes against our work. I'll make no mistake about that.

"If you say so...brother." Oh yes, Kahn is my twin brother. He is more calm and collected, I'm an ambitious one. Still, he sees my potential and he trusts me. Without me, we'd still be scraping by for mere scraps of food. Slim pickings never did suit me. I wanted it all. I wanted the blood I spilled to shape my name and the money I knew I could earn to etch my name into history. I would be the strongest someday and it would end with my bloodline forever on the top of all of the chains that were out there.

As I stood there, alone once more, I thought of this song my mother used to sing to me. I smiled with a sigh as I thought about it. I began to sing it quietly to myself.

"The sun will set over poor souls with no pity~ One day we'll put its light to shame. The lamb has been heard and called to sacrifice, but the howl of the wolves will overcome. We'll light our way and make others hear our names~ For our blood on the ground now, but the ones who keep us down will fall. We can be something in this world if we do it right! You will be something in this world, for it's do or die. I have faith in you, so you have faith in me. You will be the brightest star, my little star shooter. Your name will stay...and you will go far~"

I laughed to myself as the song finished. My mother had been right. I'd pulled us out and up and I wasn't going back. I'll make sure of that! Just you wait, mother! I'll make those retiles pay. I'll make their riders pay! I'LL MAKE THE WORLD PAY FOR WHAT IT DID TO OUR FAMILY! I'll kill the dragons that slaughter you and I'll make them kill their riders who think they can trust them. They tore our family apart and now...I'll make their world BURN.

Your POV

Nightshade was still following their scent. You hoped it was promising. You still hadn't seen a trace of them. You were starting to get very worried about your family. You knew your family and you knew how they acted. Worst of all, you'd told Leon about it when you'd first met him. Still, you knew his secret too.

As you were flying, you heard Snotlout complain. You were used to his whines, but today you weren't in the mood to put up with it. What he was complaining about only made it worse too.

"Uhg! We've been flying forever! We should've found them by now! I think your dragon's tracking skills have taken a vacation!" You shot a glare at him and he instantly went quiet. Hiccup flew up beside you.

"(Y/n), are you alright?"

"Yes, I'm fine." You told him.

"(Y/n)."

"What?"

"You're gripping the reigns so tight that your knuckles are turning white." You looked down at you clenched fists and sighed, loosening them. "Your tense, (Y/n). I know you're worried, but we'll get them back. All of them."

"We can't take too much time. We need to find them now." You told him.

"I know, (Y/n)." You looked over at him. "We'll find them." You smiled a little. You trusted Hiccup's word. He was always right when it came to stuff like this. After all, none of you gave up easily.

Suddenly, Nightshade barked. You looked ahead, hopeful. Hiccup took out his spyglass. He smiled. "An island! There are ships all around it! We found them!"

"Good! Good, good, but um, did you forget the part where there are ships all around it!" Snotlout said.

"How are we going to free the others?" Jahlin asked. You thought about it as did Hiccup. You got an idea.

"Hiccup, toss me your spyglass!" He gave it to you and you looked ahead to see what was going on.

"They're moving everyone to different ships that are going to different ports." You said.

"They want to split them up. It's the final part of the plan." Hiccup pieced together.

"What's good about that is that they're moving them and we can go in dragon blazing, giving the others a chance to escape and free their dragons." You said.

"No. That island is incredibly exposed and I'm sure they know that. This isn't right." Hiccup said.

"Hiccup, they're moving fast to get the cargo loaded. They know they're exposed, but they also know they're in danger. We have to move now." You told him. He thought about it.

"Let's just go already!" Snotlout complained, hurrying off.

"Wait! We still need the element of-" Snotlout fired a shot, laughing happily. "...surprise." Hiccup groaned. You all hurried to help him.

The fight began and you looked around for your family. You saw Jahlin's team's dragons and you saw the A-team down there, but your family was nowhere to be seen. You felt your gut sink. They have to still be here. They just have to! I can't lose them.

Suddenly, you heard a very familiar voice. It was a voice you'd grown to hate, a voice full of lies. It was a voice that could only mean trouble.

"ENOUGH!" You all stopped and looked around. You saw Leon on the ground with Veera next to him, restraining Ash. The rest of your family was in a cage guarded by Kahn. There was a sword at Ash's throat. Leon grinned at you. "I wouldn't move if I were any of you! It could be very bloody for your friend~"

Ash's POV

*Ten minutes earlier*

Kahn was just starting to move us. We were forced to follow after him. As we were moving, I saw the same girl from before. I watched as she walked up to Leon. I listened in to the
