conversation as we stood above deck, guards on all sides of us.

"Leon, why do we need (Y/n) so badly? Sure, she's smart, but she's not as good of a fighter or as willing as some people. People like me." The girl hinted. Leon growled in annoyance.

"Veera! I have no need for your desperate acts to gain glory or attention from me! I made you my second in command with weaponry orders so you could focus on that! Don't disappoint me with useless questions!" He snapped. She took a step back, shocked by what he said. He stalked up to her. "Remember, I made you what you are. I made you strong. I made you important in the first place. I can take that all away from you in a heartbeat. I suggest you stop thinking and just keep doing." He told her, forcefully lifting her chin to look directly at him.

"....Yes, Leon." She muttered weakly. He let go of her.

"I didn't keep you alive to see you develop all these useless qualities. If you question me, you question my authority. Once you do that, you become a traitor. Don't make me spill more blood than I have to." I saw her eyes widen slightly as she heard that. She said nothing, looking hurt. "That's a good girl now, isn't it?" Leon cooed with a grin before he kept walking.

I watched as he walked away. I looked at the girl and I saw tears beginning to form in her eyes. Her dragon padded over to her, nudging her worriedly. I looked back at Leon. He didn't see it, but I was glaring at him with my blood boiling. You sick freak. I'll make sure you have a one-way ticket to Helheim. I was going to end him if it was the last thing I did. He didn't deserve to live.

Soon, I could see an island up ahead. I looked back at Veera. She looked less sad and more leaning towards angry now. I knew she wasn't angry at Leon though. She was angry at the world. I could relate to that. I knew how that felt. She came over to us.

"I'll guard them!" She snapped at the guard. She wants to prove herself. Yep, all the signs are there. She stood in front of us and I started talking to her.

"Doesn't seem like he cares that much," I said, looking at Leon. She looked back at me before looking at him again.

"Shut it! He does care!"

"Then why is he pushing you away? He's getting into your head, you know. If he made you strong, your strong enough to stand up to him. We might be enemies, but nobody deserves to be treated like nothing." I told her. I saw her gaze soften as she heard that.

"I..." She threw another glare at me, but this one was less aggressive. I knew I was getting through to her. "I'm not nothing to him! Your stupid brat of a sister is getting to him! I'll make him see I'm not worthless! I'm worth more than she'll ever be!" Veera growled.

"Than go tell that to Leon if he'll listen. I'm sure he won't be angry at you for something like that. I just think that if he cared, he'd show it a bit more." She frowned, but she said nothing more.

We made it to the island and Leon ordered us all off the ship. We were put into a cage. I saw our dragons being pushed a shoved around. I frowned as I saw Nightrider getting yanked along by a chain around his neck. I'm sorry, boy. I'll get you out of here. I promise. I looked to the sky. Come on, sis. We need you.

Suddenly, I saw Snotlout come rushing in. I grinned. Yes! Right on time! Not very subtle, but right on time! The others rushed in and I saw my sister leading the others in the charge. I knew Snotlout must've rushed ahead. Not surprising, really. Suddenly, the cage opened and I was yanked out. I saw a furious looking Leon glaring at Veera.

"If he moves, slit his throat!" He hissed. Then, he shouted as loud as he could, demanding everyone's attention. "ENOUGH!" They all stopped and (Y/n)'s eyes widened as she saw me in Veera's grip. Leon grinned at her. "I wouldn't move if I were any of you! It could be very bloody for your friend~"

Your POV

(Play video now and listen while reading.)

"Let him go, Leon! Let all of them go! you don't want this fight." You growled.

"Oh, no, I know I don't. I want your surrender~" He purred. His voice was sickening. You'd never met somebody more insane and bloodthirsty than him. At least Viggo is semi-civilized.

"Never!" You growled back.

"Very well. Kill him." Leon told Veera. You felt your heart jump into your mouth.

"NO!" He grinned.

"You don't have a choice, (Y/n)! It's you give in, or he goes to Valhalla. It's your call, my dear~" You saw Ash say something quietly to Veera. She looked conflicted for a moment, but she still held him firmly in place.

"If I give in, you let my family go, Leon." You said.

"You're in no place for demands, (Y/n)."

"Enough, Leon! It's a trade-off! You free my family for me, or multiple people are dying today! What's it going to be? Are we both leaving empty-handed?" You shouted. He thought about it, looking slightly annoyed.

"(Y/n), you can't!" Hiccup called.

"You can't let him win!" Heather added.

"He's bluffing!" Jahlin growled.

"Am I?" Leon asked with a smirk. You saw his eyes. He wasn't bluffing and Jahlin knew it. He as just in denial. You could tell.

"Do we have a deal?" You asked. He sighed.

"Very well, but I only let them go once your off that dragon." You flew down. Hiccup tried to go after you. You shot him a look. He frowned, but he stayed in the air. You landed and walked over to Leon. He chuckled and strode up to you confidently. "You should know this about me, (Y/n)," He began. He grabbed your wrist and yanked you forward so that your noses were almost touching. "I'll kill whoever I need to to get what I want. Now, you're going to help me as I make this world burn. You're mine~" You glared at him.

"Let my family go. Let them all go." You said, staring back at him. I won't crumble before you this time. He smirked.

"You know, your heart of gold is your greatest strength, but it's also your weakness. I'd kill my own men to get what I want, you wouldn't touch a hair on their heads. You're weak, (Y/n). That's perfect for me. It means I can break you. Kill him, Veera! Show them all who's in charge!" Veera looked at him. She glared at him and let Ash go.

"No." Leon looked shocked and outraged. You were stunned too.

"What!?"

"You said you'd kill your own! You'd sacrifice us! You don't care about anyone but yourself! You wanted the world to burn, so burn with it!" She growled and cut Ash's chains. You pulled back and punched Leon in the jaw. He let go of your wrist, stumbling back. He looked at all of you in outrage. You stood tall before him.

"This is what it means to care. This is what it means to have people who care about you. Saying that everyone is expendable is a lie. Sometimes," You turned to Veera. "even one person can make the difference between victory and defeat."

"I was wrong to think it was your fault he forgot about me (Y/n). I see that now." She pulled out her sword. "And I am with you!" You smiled at her.

"Veera, welcome to the Riders." She smiled at you, before turning back to Leon.

"You made me strong, Leon, but you underestimated me. You pushed me down, but now I can push back even harder. Slitherheart! Free the dragons!" Her dragon quickly knocked some of the Hunters away and the dragons worked together to free each other and their Riders. Soon enough, their entire fleet was overwhelmed.

You took to the air as you fought beside your family and friends. You grinned as they were sent running by the boatloads. Suddenly, something smashed into Nightshade. You shrieked as you were thrown off. She roared and dove after you. She grabbed you and you got back on. You looked around. Kahn and Leon had you cornered. You glared at the two.

Quickly switching your target from the men on the ground to the two of them, Nightshade took off as they tailed you. As you dodged the two of them, you saw Kahn coming in from the side on his dragon. You glared at him and went for him straight on. This surprised him and Nightshade smashed her club tail into his dragon. His dragon roared and Kahn was tossed off.

He screamed as he fell. Leon's eyes widened. Leon called after him in horror.

"NO!" Kahn hit the ground as did his dragon. You frowned sadly. The fall had been too high. Leon was still in denial. "BROTHER!" He flew down and you watched as he ran to his twin. You landed and walked closer. The others landed as well, watching in silence. Kahn was still alive, but his side had been stabbed by one of the sharp rocks on the ground that made up the main base of the island along with it's darkened sand.

Kahn only lasted a few seconds longer before his eyes clouded over. Leon held him, his body shaking in anger and grief. You saw the tears roll down his face and fall onto the sand.

"I didn't want it to come to this, Leon." You told him. "But now you see that hate will cause you to lose everything. You got your wish, Leon. The world around you has burned to the ground." He glared up at you.

"You all took everything from me. When we were young we had nothing! Our mother starved to keep us alive! Then a filthy lizard took her from us! He took her from us and used her bones as toothpicks! She was hardly even a meal! Your hideous beasts don't show mercy!" He yelled. "And I'll make sure your precious pets are all slaughtered. I'll make you pay. If my world must burn, you'll burn with it!" He swore. Suddenly, both his and Kahn's dragons padded away from him, standing beside you. "W-what!?"

"I don't think they like the idea of being called hideous beasts, Leon. And I don't think they appreciate their kind being slaughtered. You used your words to manipulate everyone around you. It's ironic that your words have caused you to lose everything in the end." He glared at you. He stood up, pulling his sword on you.

"I promise you this, (Y/n) (L/n)! I'll avenge my brother and my mother! I'll kill you and your monsters if it's the last thing I do! Make no mistake about that!" He swung at you, but he missed entirely. Still, it gave him a way out and he ran as fast as he could to the last boat on the island. Darkblood and Smoulder growled, wanting to go after him, but you stopped them.

"Let him go. He's not worth it." You said.

"He lost everything and it caused him to hate the world. Holding onto that anger will destroy him in the end." Jahlin said, coming up beside you. You looked after him as he ran.

"It already has." Nobody said a word as you watched them flee. "Come on, everyone. We need to get back to Berk and make sure that there's no attack happening there. Let's go." You said.

"Wait." You turned to Veera as she walked over to Kahn. She closed his eyes and picked him up. "He was just another victim of Leon's lies. He deserves a proper burial. I knew Kahn. He wasn't always so cold and distant. He was happy once, but he lost his best friend because of one of Leon's plans." The rest of her crew nodded, clearly remembering that day. "After that, Leon was all he had left. He couldn't speak his mind if he wanted to. He couldn't afford losing anyone else. We should honor him...and wish him happiness beside Mira in Valhalla." You nodded.

"Veera's right. But we have to make sure Berk is safe first. Tonight, we'll bury him once everything calms down. Let's move."

You all mounted up and took off, hurrying to go and defend your home. You looked back at the fleeing ship as you all headed off. I'm sorry you've fallen into such a dark path, Leon. In another life...maybe you would've been better. You looked ahead as you all kept going. We all need to learn how to be better.
