Evelyn stayed with Recovery girl for the majority of the first round of battles. Embarrassment swelled throughout her chest, her face flushed red.

She watched the battles on a small screen. Evelyn stared as Midoriya went against a purple haired boy and clicked her tongue in annoyance as he broke her finger. She healed him swiftly and bandaged it, sending him off with a stern warning to be careful.

The battles came and went. Evelyn finally stepped back onto the field for Uraraka and Bakugo's battle, simply out of worry. The ruthlessness of the boy made her fear slightly for Uraraka, and she wanted to be on site for immediate treatment. Evelyn stared in horror as the battle commenced, but she couldn't help but feel a swell of pride at Uraraka's smart tactics and determination. She knew what it was like to be underestimated not only for being a girl, but having a quirk that isn't necessarily good at offense.

Evelyn's wings unfurled as Uraraka collapsed, flying over to the girl. She let out a sigh of relief to see it was only from exhaustion. Evelyn carefully picked her up carrying her to the recovery room.

Evelyn smiled as the girl's eyes fluttered open. "That was quite the battle." Evelyn smiled softly.

Uraraka looked down, her fists clenched tightly in her lap. "I lost." She grumbled.

Evelyn took a sharp breath. "It isn't always about winning. You proved a point; you aren't weak."

The brown haired girl looked up at her teacher who smiled brightly. "No one out there is going to underestimate you anymore. Or, they shouldn't, not after that beautiful fight."

She stood and waved to the student before disappearing down the hall. Evelyn couldn't shake her nerves for the next battle. She snorted quietly to herself. I'm not even competing. She walked swiftly, the heels of her boots clicking against the ground.

Todoroki and Midoriya. Evelyn already knew the outcome. Midoriya would lose. But at what cost? She knew nothing she did would stop him from going all out. He would harm himself for a dumb medal.

As the battle began, Midoriya instantly broke a finger. Evelyn's helplessness only grew. She couldn't heal as well right now; her hands were far too burned. She couldn't do anything. Part of her wanted to interfere. Stop whatever damage she could. But Evelyn couldn't move, her feet glued to the ground.

She cried out as Cementoss interfered and a large explosion went off. She flew into the air, her staff in hand as she flew towards Midoriya. The crowd muttered, dust filling the air as they tried to see what happened. Evelyn squinted through the dust cloud, stumbling as she landed.

The boy was purple and blue. I could have stopped this. Guilt wracked Eveln's brain as she carefully pulled Midoriya's head into her lap. I- I can't fix this. My aura isn't that strong.

The audience fell silent. The dust cleared, revealing the strawberry blonde with the child, her wings draped gracefully across the ground. The image reminded them of someone who had just died, their guardian angel appearing to take their soul away.

Evelyn was overwhelmed. She was a healer, a teacher. She knew what her students were like, so why didn't she say anything? Why didn't she step in?

Her face flushed and her eyes stung. Tears slowly fell out of grief, dropping onto Midoriya's chest. Suddenly, the two were glowing, gold mist surrounding the two. A gold flower bloomed where Evelyn's tears had fallen, its petals coating Midoriya. As it faded, the crowd gasped. Midoriya looked good as new, save for a few scratches. She knew that it hadn't healed his arms completely, but she let out a sigh of relief. The pained look that once adorned his unconscious face was replaced by a peaceful one.

Evelyn carefully scooped him up whispering a quick 'I'm sorry'. She dropped him off in the Recovery Room before heading up to the announcers box. There was no point in her trying to stay and heal, her hands were shot. She had to wait until the burns healed.

She knocked twice before opening the door.

"Evie!" Hizashi greeted gleefully. "I didn't know you had magic tears!"

Her face flushed, and she rubbed the back of her neck shyly. "Right. They're stronger than my regular healing aura."

He looked confused. "I-I can't use it as often because the tears have to be of pure emotions. I can't just go around forcing myself to cry on demand, it doesn't work like that."

She stood awkwardly, not having anywhere to sit.

"Why aren't you with Recovery Girl?" Shota asked curiously. Evelyn grinned sheepishly and held up her bandaged hands.

"It seems that I'm going to be out of commission for a bit." She shrugged. "Recovery Girl said she would take care of the rest, so I thought I'd chill up here. But I think I'll head to the stands since there isn't anywhere to sit."

"What do you mean?" Hizashi grinned mischievously. He patted his knee. "We can share my seat." Evelyn tilted her head. She didn't see why not. She took a step toward him only to be pulled away.

Aizawa grasped onto her hand, pulling her back into his lap. Evelyn's body flushed against his, her whole face erupting in a flaming red. She could feel his hot breath fanning against her neck, her heart beating erratically in her chest as he growled lowly.

"Mine."
