"Thank you Niffty, darling." Alastor stated as Niffty handed him the bowl of soup. He would have preferred something a bit more substantial but it probably wouldn't be the wisest. Alastor shifted in the seat at the massive dining table, his black sweatshirt clung a little too much to the bandages on his arms but he wasn't about to tell Angel that.

"Of course sir." Niffty said before jumping up into her chair beside Charlie. It was rather late, most of the other residences had either turned in for the night or had gone out. For the most part it was just the core group of demons that sat around the table.

"So, has your magic returned yet?" Husk asked as Alastor rolled his eyes.

"Lay the fuck off, Husk. He'll tell us when it returns." Angel snapped from his seat beside the deer demon. Husk gave a low growl before folding his wings in a bit more, but ultimately didn't make another comment. Niffty kept looking at the two that sat across from her, her eye flickering between Alastor and Angel. It was probably because she was surprised to see the two demons laying together in a bed. In all fairness there was nothing actually going on, they were just talking and laying on the bed. It still didn't mean she didn't make a small noise before fleeing the room, getting Angel to blurt out a laugh and Alastor to blush in embarrassment.

"So..." Charlie started before a small look from Alastor shut the princess up, at least for a moment. "Angel your shoulder." Charlie pointed out as Alastor glanced up at the blonde.

"What's it fuckin matter." Angel stated as Charlie stared at him.

"Well, you're hurt. I don't like to see anyone hurt, and you also never told us what happened?"

"What's it matter, babe. I ain't going ta tell yah." Angel responded as he took a spoonful of his soup. Alastor rolled his eyes, of course there couldn't be a few minutes where there wasn't a form of fighting. Normally, Alastor wouldn't have cared but now it just grated at everything, even the pain. It almost made it worse in a sense, probably because it made him draw his attention inward and it made him focus on the injuries.

"Angel-"

"Stop being a bitch, Angel and just tell us what happened." Vaggie snapped.

"Oh so I'm a bitch now." Alastor let out a small grumble before having some of his soup. God he forgot how bland soup was, he rarely ate it. Was it always this bland? Alastor tried to tune out the argument but it was the best entertainment he's had in a while.

"Vaggie no! You're not a bitch Angel. We are just concerned." Charlie clarified.

"Shouldn't be concerned about my wellbein. I'm an adult, I can handle myself." Alastor's ear twitched at the statement, he wanted to say something but he didn't really want to get into an argument as well.

"You most certainly don't act like an adult."

"The fuck do yah know!" Angel growled at Vaggie.

"I've seen the way you behave, so don't be acting all high and mighty around me." Alastor's head pulsed, the arguing was making his head hurt. He tugged at the bandages on his forearms, by Satan they itched. He tried to push the growing pain from his leg out of his mind.

"Guys stop." Charlie exclaimed, trying to get control of their growing argument. Why did they always have to argue when the group was together? Couldn't they ever just get along for a bit without going for each other's throats.

"No. You know what! Do you even want to ascend Angel? Cause your doing a great job at not ascending!" Vaggie shouted. Alastor's right ear twitched as a whisper from his shadow echoed through his head. Wait, what? The shadow wrapped itself around its masters shoulders, giving off a hiss, conveying its message.

"Angel." Alastor whispered.

"What's it fuckin matter!"

"It matters because you're wasting our time! If you don't want to ascend, then leave!" Vaggie screamed as Angel stood there, a blank look on his face.

"Is that what you want?" Angel asked the room, falling almost silent at the question.

"No voy a lidiar con tus tonterías ahora mismo." Vaggie grumbled under her breath. Alastor's ear twitched again, this time he was fully listening to what was happening outside the room.

"Angel."

"Yes, Al." Angel huffed.

"Valentino's here." Alastor stated getting everyone to stare at him.

"What the fuck do yah mean he's here!" Angel screamed. "Oh Satan, what do we do!" Angel looked to Charlie for help. The princess of hell was on her feet in moments, trying to calm the spider demon.

"I'll go distract him."

"What's that going to do? There is no way for us to get him out of here." Angel gestured towards Alastor.

"There has to be a-"

"No, Angel is right. There is no way you're going to be able to keep me hidden. If anything, we might have to fight." Alastor said as he pushed himself to his feet.

"Al, yah can't fight. Yah don't have yer magic."

"I'm aware of that Angel, but we might not have much of a choice in the matter." Alastor stated as the group looked to him for a few moments, not certain what to say or do.

"You're certain, you can't teleport?" Husk asked as Niffty scurried up from her seat darting to the wall.

"Very certain, Husker." Alastor responded.

"All right then." Husk's arms were suddenly around the deer's chest as the avian cats wings flew open. "Niffty the window." Husk ordered as Alastor struggled in the cat's grip.

"Put me down!" Alastor screamed as they rose off the ground fully.

"Shut the fuck up. We can't have you fuckin dying again." Husk said before soaring towards the window. Alastor grabbed Husk's forearms trying to keep his balance as the feline took him out of the window. A gust of wind slammed into the two nearly knocking them into the building causing Husk to tighten his grip around the deer demon.

"This is insane!" Alastor shouted as he tried to keep his grip on his friend. They rose higher and higher into the air before reaching the top of the hotel. Husk not so gently landed on the building's roof sending the two men tumbling on the stone terrace.

"Fuck, that was bad... Are you good?" Husk asked as Alastor took a few pained breaths. Everything screamed at him, but he chose to ignore it as best as he could before slowly pushing himself up on his elbows.

"What was that?" Alastor asked through gritted teeth. His leg roared at him, as he put even the slightest amount of pressure on the limb.

"Oh, sorrie. I haven't flown in years, you ass." Husk snapped as he pushed himself to his feet.

"Shouldn't we be helping." Alastor growled as he flipped onto his back, his side screaming at the movement.

"Nah, the girls can handle themselves." Alastor sent the cat a small look. "Angel qualifies." Husk mumbled. "What the fuck is going on with you?" Husk blurted as he started walking over to the deer demon.

"Care to clarify?" Alastor growled but he couldn't build any irritation behind it. He was in so much pain, and he was using all his composure not to curse at the other.
"You! You act like this, are you putting on an act or something?"

"An act? Why would I fake this?" Alastor gestured to his injuries.

"Your magic you dick! Are you seriously not faking it!" Husk shouted.

"There would be no reason to fake not having magic. If I had my powers then this wouldn't be an issue. I would be partly healed at this point, and I could actually walk on my own." Alastor snapped back. Husk gave off a growl before plopping down next to the radio demon as a soft static escaped Alastor. Alastor sat fully up, as his injuries roared against it but he didn't want to stay on the ground.

"I just... I've never seen you like this."

"You think I like being like this?" Alastor asked.

"I- ugh... I don't know. I just thought you were faking it to... you know..." Alastor's ears twitched at the statement.

"I know what?"

"Oh my god, I forgot how terrible you are with feelings. Angel, you fucking idiot. He's been all over you, and yeah you sort of own his contract now but that isn't the reason he is. He likes you, you asshole." Husk states. Alastor sits in that statement for a few moments, he should have known to some extent. He actually did know because Angel was very upfront about stuff like that, but it still sort of shocked him to hear it so blatantly. Angel has made it his job to get to know him so well, and now Alastor wasn't certain what to think.

A fuzzy image flickered through his head, as his shadow tried to show him what was happening. A loud boom filled his ears, as he heard someone shouting, and gun fire filled his head. He had to do something, he might be able to... Alastor dug his nails into his palms, feeling the blood dripping through his fingers. A crackle of electricity sparked from the sign behind them, getting Husk to jump to his feet.

"The fuck!" Husk shouted as the lights popped, sending glass everywhere around the terrace. Electricity surged up Alastor's arms as they tore into his skin, leaving burns behind. The dark aura formed around the man, his eyes flickering to static. The sound of a crackling radio filled the air, more lights broke behind him. "Alastor!" Husk yelled as he rushed to the deer demon.

"Don't..." Alastor hissed but Husk didn't care as he dragged the other demon away from the falling glass.

"Shit! Fuck! OW!" Husk yelled once he released Alastor, small burns covering his paws. "What are you doing!"

"I'm not...." Alastor whispered as the electricity surged through him, taking his breath out of his lungs. It was getting harder to breathe, his vision blurred and his head screamed at him.

"Alastor stop!" Husk screamed as he wanted to reach out of the deer again but didn't dare to touch him. Electricity crackled along the radio demon's body as the sound of static grew louder over powering the noise of the city below them. Why did this hurt so bad? Everything started getting hazy as the pain overtook his senses, overwhelming his mind and body. "Holy shit! Alastor stop!" Husk's voice sounded so faint now. Everything suddenly went dark.

I published the wrong parts in the wrong order like an idiot. I hope this makes a lot more sense now.
