"Charlie!" Angel yelled as the princess fluttered around his side, basically trying to stop him from getting up the stairs. "I'm fine!" Angel snapped.

"You're bleeding!" Charlie shouted back. "What happened! Angel tell me what happened!"

"Nothin, fuckin happened. Just leave me alone!" Angel screamed before he raced up the stairs. Anger rolled through him, why couldn't Charlie just ever leave him alone. It wasn't like he didn't come back in worse condition and she always jumped at him trying to figure out what was wrong with him. Angel growled under his breath, as tears threatened to fall. He walked past Alastor's bedroom, he'd be back in a few minutes he needed to see Nuggets.

The demon pig always brought him out of his mindset, always helped him forget just a little. He could still feel Valentino's grip on his shoulder, the pain that radiated from the spot which had stopped bleeding a while ago. He was fine... Angel threw open his bedroom door and looked around the dark space. The pink vanity gave off a faint light from its bulbs as Angel dropped the bag down on it.

"Nugs." Angel called out to the pig, as he waited for him to come out. After a few moments Angel checked the animal's bed to the farside of the room, besides a few of his socks the space was empty.

"Nuggies?" Angel asked as he knelt down checking under the bed. Empty? He was on his feet in moments before bursting into the bathroom finding it empty. No... no. Where was he! Panic started to swim in the spider's head as the chilled grip of Valentino clawed at his throat.

Hello Angie. The voice hissed in his head, as Angel caught a glimpse of glowing pink teeth and eyes came from the mirror. Fully facing the mirror, there was nothing. Snagging a blanket he threw it over the mirror hiding the possible vision from his mind.

"Fat Nuggets!" Angel called into the empty room. His hands grabbed the edge of the bed, pulling it off the ground as the sex worker scanned it over again and again. He had to be here, of course he did. Nuggets rarely left the room and never did without him. Maybe he wandered down to visit Charlie or Niffty. His mind flew to some of the residences, some were alright while others were downright cruel. Why Charlie let them hang around was beyond him? They would often joke about killing the spider's pig, saying how it would make a good snack. Angel had never put much thought into their words but now.

Angel rushed from his room, descending the stairs quickly before grabbing Vaggie who was the first person he saw.

"Whoa! Angel. What are you doing?"

"Have yah seen Nugs? He wasn't in the room." Angel panicked, his voice getting higher pitched the more desperate he got. "I don't know if something will happen! I need..."

"Whoa, um... okay, Angel. I think Charlie said something about him earlier." Vaggie admitted as Angel released his grip on the moth before running off to find the princess.

"See now, why was that wrong?" Charlie asked the group of three demons that sat around on the bar stools. The trio grumbled and rolled their eyes, Angel didn't care what they thought or said however. Snatching Charlie's wrist, he dragged her away from the group of demons.

"Charlie, have you seen Nugs? I can't find him!" Angel practically cried as Charlie stared up at him for a moment.

"I-"

"Lost your fucking lunch, woulnd't be suprised if it was on tonights menu." A demon laughed, he took the shape of what appeared to be a dinosaur with a long multicolored tail. Angel growled but ultimately said nothing before returning his attention back to Charlie.

"Ask Alastor." Charlie smiled as Angel gave her a questionable look. Dropping the princess, Angel turned back heading towards the stairs. Why ask Alastor? What did Charlie mean? Of course he hadn't really wanted to see Alastor until he calmed down a bit more. Alastor was going to ask him what happened and Angel didn't know if he was ready for that. Then again, if Alastor asked he was going to tell him. He owned him af-

Crack...

Angel stopped before raising his left foot up a bit to see what made that noise. A flash of glass filled his eyes as the spider demon leaned down picking the piece of the bulb from his boot. Angel looked up to the lights, noticing the two that hung around Alastor's room were broken and shattered. How the shit did that happen? Kicking the pieces of glass out of the hallway, Angel opened the door. The light streamed into the room, illuminating it enough for the spider to see inside.

"Hey, Al?" Angel asked as he stepped inside. A pair of bright pink eyes opened as Fat Nuggets uncurled himself from where he slept pressed against Alastor's shoulder. "Nuggs." Angel whispered as he scooped up the little demon.

"He is quite warm." Alastor stated as he looked over at Angel, his smile was small and a much more relaxed look. The demon's red eyes gave off a faint glow as he glanced at the spider before shifting to fully look at the spider. The radio demon blinked his eyes a few times adjusting to the light before pushing himself up a bit. "What ha-"

"I don't wanna talk about it." Angel responded as he settled into the leather seat, holding Fat Nuggets to his chest. Alastor was silent before leaning back down in the bed, his hands scrubbing at his eyes, trying to push the sleep from them.

"Angel..."

"I said..."

"I wasn't going to ask. I was going to say I thought you went shopping, did you find anything?" Alastor asked as Angel stared at him for a few moments.

"Uh... yah, I found some nice clothes I thought you'd enjoy. They are in my room." Angel admitted.

"Good, at least you found something." Alastor stated as he looked at the spider for a few moments. He'd say something, eventually, he'd just have to be patient. Alastor was good at being patient, he had learned how while he was hunting. The point of the hunt was patience, something that he always remembered, oftentimes forgetting other things all together except for the sounds of his game in the distance.

"I met a friend of yers." Angel said after a few minutes of silence. Alastor's ears perked up at the statement, pushing himself fully up into a sitting position as he looked at the other demon.

"Care to explain."

"I... ran into her. Her name was Rosie." Angel whispered, getting Alastor to freeze, his smile widening slightly. Why was he in Cannibal Colony? If Angel was out buying clothes like he said he was going to, there was no reason to wander that direction. There had to be a reason that drove him there.

"You traveled very far, out of your normal areas." Alastor stated as his ears lowered slightly.

"Didn want to." Angel admitted. "She helped me."

"Rosie?"

"Yah, she was nice." Alastor took a deep breath before shifting his gaze to the demon pig in the spider's arms. He was most certainly holding him rather tight. Alastor glanced up at the black blood that stained the spider's shoulder, it appears to have stopped bleeding some time ago.

"If you don't want to keep talking about it, perhaps a small game would suffice?" Alastor asked as he heard a small chuckle escape the spider.

"You make everything into a game."

"I do enjoy games... Now let's see. It appears someone hurt you and drove you into the colony. Perhaps an old client?" Alastor asked. Angel shook his head no as he pulled Fat Nuggets more to his chest, the spider's legs came up so they were on the edge of the seat as his upper set of arms wrapped around his knees.

"It was Val, wasn't it?" Tears streamed down Angel's face. Alastor was silent before shifting over in the bed. "Come here." Alastor stated as Angel practically launched himself into the deer demon.

"I don't even know how he found me." Angel whimpered. The door slammed shut as the faint glow from the shadow could be seen.

"He... what?"

"Huh?"

"My shadow? You had him?"

"Is that the thing you're really questioning right now?" Angel asked as he looked to the door.

"Well, yes. I haven't been able to use any of my magic and here you are with my shadow." Angel gave a small sniff before wiping his eyes.

"I guess he likes me more." Angel whispered as Alastor gave a small chuckle.

"I don't know about that. But back to the other topic, look Angel... I'm sorry, I should have dealt with him too. I r-"

"Don't yah dare."

"What?"

"Don't yah, dare take the blame for failing to kill him. Ya killed Vox, and it nearly killed yah too. Ya badly hurt him, he just... He isn't as strong as he once was. I could have..." Angel flopped back onto the bed. "I should have done something. He was weak, he couldn't really walk. But I just... I fuckin froze. I froze! Like a useless piece of shit! I couldn't do fuckin anything! Your shadow had to fuckin save me, and he led me to Rosie. If yer shadow wasn't there, I would have been taken back to the studio. I'm fuckin weak!" Angel screamed.

"You aren't weak."

"Yah didn see me." Angel whimpered. "I let him hurt me, Al. I let him touch me again, even though I said I never would. I cant... I'm so fuckin stupid." Angel hissed as he covered his face with his hands.

"You aren't stupid or weak."

"Huh... says the almighty radio demon." Angel responded as Alastor's ears went fully down.

"You know... I'm not as strong as you think." Alastor started. Why would he bring this up? He shouldn't bring this up but why was he about to. He hated himself for being so open around Angel, he was the only one he ever was.

"Yeah right."

"You know at my... death... I was terrified." Alastor admitted as Angel stopped. Removing his hands from his face, Angel sat up to see the other demon before bracing his back against the headboard.

"I don't even remember mine." Angel mumbled.

"You said that you passed out and woke up here." Alastor pointed out.

"How'd... how d... how did you die?" Angel whispered.

"I was found out. The police started to hunt me, like you would hunt a deer. They sent their hounds after me first..." Alastor shook with the statement, remembering the snarling beasts. He took a shaky breath trying to push the memory out of his mind. "They got me and kept me pinned until the officers arrived. One bullet to the head was all it took." Alastor whispered as he brushed his right hand over the small red x on his forehead. "I was so scared the whole time, just as scared as I was during that fight with Vox. I just knew if I let them win..." Alastor trailed off. Four arms wrapped around him as Angel pressed his head against the deer demon's neck.

"Thank you." Angel whispered as tears stung his eyes.
