Hearing those words, that statement, Grimmjow paused for the moment. 'Grimmjow, Kagami was crying'.
"Tch." Grimmjow sounded out as he stared at the food in front of him. At this moment, Grimmjow hated himself so much his own pride couldn't ignore this. He was king, he wasn't supposed to feel this way, like a man who had lost everything in his kingdom... including his queen.
Grimmjow had promised himself the day he walked out of Soul Society unharmed, with you by his side, leading him out, that he would never make you cry again. That he would protect and lead his queen through every battle unscathed, and that her eyes be dry from tears every time. But he had broken his own promise, and was even the one to cause them.
"Fuck!" Grimmjow growled as he slammed his hands on his desk. He had tried and worked so hard to make you love him, and now that he had you, you were slipping out of his grasp.
"Jiro!" Grimmjow screamed as he left his office, walking up to the cashier where Jiro was helping a customer.
"Yeah?" Jiro asked as he had just finished helping the customer.
"Hurry up. I need to see you in my office." Grimmjow growled as he walked back in. There was too many customers today, and Grimmjow didn't feel like sharing his damn life story with the whole store.
"Umm, okay." Jiro answered hesitantly. Workers were never really called into the manager's office unless someone was failing to do work. And since Grimmjow seemed to be more of the boss then Daichi, having Grimmjow call you into his office gave people an intimidating feeling.
"You needed to see me?" Jiro asked in a soft voice as he poked his head into the office, not sure what to expect from Grimmjow.
"Did that woman say why she was crying?" Grimmjow asked seriously. There he went again, addressing you without name, as if you were in an assembly line of unknown females waiting to be labelled.
"Umm... who?" Jiro asked nervously. Grimmjow was known to bring women to the shop, all of which he named 'woman'...
"Kagami." Grimmjow growled, grinding his teeth.
"Ohh..." Jiro answered lowly. He knew your name... why doesn't he just use it!?
"You know Grimmjow, you really shouldn't refer to her as a 'woman'." Jiro mentioned with a sigh. "It's degrading, especially when she has a name."
"What does it fuckin' matter?"
"It's insulting."
"And?"
"You're insulting Kagami- san." Jiro tried explaining.
"Tch. Fuck whatever." Grimmjow brushed off. "Just tell me what the fuck I can get her so she quit cryin' over shit."
"I don't have an answer to that." Jiro answered truthfully without hesitation.
"What the fuck do you mean you don't have an answer!?" Grimmjow screamed. "Just tell me what to get the fuckin' girl so she quit cryin'!"
"It's not that easy." Jiro explained. "You must have done something wrong to make her cry. Gifts are one way to make her happy, but it doesn't solve the problem."
"Then what the fuck do I have to do?"
"Apologize."
"Apologize for fuckin' what!?" Grimmjow growled once more.
"For making her cry." Jiro explained cooly.
"Arghh!" Grimmjow yelled in annoyance. "So what the hell am I supposed to get her?"
"I don't know." Jiro answered as he thought about it. "Times like these, sometimes you can't buy a gift to apologize." Once more, Grimmjow growled in annoyance.
You sat on the back porch, staring into the evening sky as the sun was slowly going down. Once again, Zaraki had kept you company as he sat on the porch, leaning against the wall with his eyes closed, although he made sure no one bothered you. Boarders of the house had already seen your sunken and saddened expression, your eyes were puffy and red, and your eyes only half open. In truth... you had just woken up from a nap and were still half asleep. The boarders of the house had become worried about you, especially Yachiru, who no longer had anyone to play with.
Suddenly, there was a loud male voice screaming from the front door. You had slowly turned around from the back of the house, wanting to see who it was. But Zaraki had already stood up and walked back into the house.
Grimmjow walked into the shop, another bouquet of flowers in his hand. Jiro wasn't helping with thinking of a gift, and he didn't have the time to think of one either. He had things he had to do tonight, but he knew this situation would sit at the back of his mind and eat away at him if he didn't try to fix it now.
"Ahh. Grimmjow- san." Urahara greeted as usual. "What are you doing home?" Urahara asked, his tone changing slightly, but Grimmjow didn't seem to notice.
"I'm looking for Kagami." Grimmjow said in a rush.
"Hmm." Urahara answered. "Not sure where she is right now." Urahara lied.
"Damn it old man!" Grimmjow growled in annoyance, he was losing his patience. Fast. "I know she's here, so where the hell is she!?"
"Somewhere." Urahara answered again, avoiding the question.
"Where the fuck is my woman!?" Grimmjow yelled, now tired of the unhelpful replies.
"Your woman?" Urhara asked, arching an eyebrow. "I didn't know any of the women in this household belonged to you Grimmjow- san."
Grimmjow growled at this response, his reiatsu rising with his anger. It was at that moment that the door leading inside slammed opened, and there stood a massive man, with black hair that was a bit pass his shoulders, and a hard expression on his face.
"What's with the yellin'?" Zaraki asked darkly, his single piercing green eye glaring at Grimmjow.
"Where the fuck is Kagami?" Grimmjow asked bitterly. Grimmjow wasn't scared of Zaraki, but he figured he might as well give respect towards the man, since he is your brother.
"She's busy." Zaraki answered directly.
"Doing what?" Grimmjow asked, trying to keep himself under control.
"Whatever it is, doesn't concern you." Zaraki answered, getting ready to go back inside.
"Fuck you! Where is she!?" Grimmjow growled.
"What does it matter to you, espada?" Zaraki asked in a serious tone.
"I'm trying to apologize to the damn woman!"
"For what?" Zaraki asked, surprising Grimmjow with the question. It was quite obvious what Grimmjow wanted to apologize for.
"For the damn girl cryin'!" Grimmjow answered angrily, he was wasting time being interrogated, when he could be fucking that damn girl in her hotel again.
"Tch." Zaraki replied, obviously displeased with the answer. "Why the hell is she crying in the first place?"
"Fcuk, like I would know! I just found out today that she was cryin' because of me." Grimmjow explained. "So I'm trying to apologize."
"Well the brat ain't here." Zaraki lied, heading back inside without another word. Grimmjow growled at the answer, it was a lie. He knew you were inside, he could feel your reiatsu so close to the door.
As Zaraki walked back in, he noticed you sitting on the floor closest to the stairs, able to hear the whole conversation.
"Why did you lie to him?" You asked, not looking at Zaraki.
"What does it matter?" Zaraki answered coldly.
"He was trying to apologize."
"For somethin' he doesn't know. Fuckin' espada doesn't know shit." Zaraki answered as he picked you up by the collar of your shirt. "Why do you care anyways brat?" Zaraki asked seriously.
"Because he came to apologize." You answered truthfully once more, an innocent tone in your voice. "Grimmjow never apologizes."
Zaraki had placed you down, so your feet could touch the ground, and simply continued to stare at your dead expression.
"You're getting this warnin' only once Kagami." Zaraki said as he was about to walk away from you. "Stay away from that espada."
"Okay, onii- chan." You answered sadly. Easier said then done.
"Don't you have somewhere to go Grimmjow?" Urahara suddenly asked, cutting off Grimmjow's thoughts about you.
"Yeah, so what?" Grimmjow asked, his expression angry.
"Then it's probably best that you leave now."
"What?" Grimmjow spat. This was a first. Usually Urhara was always trying to get him to come home early instead of going out like he always did. This time, it almost sounded like he was kicking him out of the house.
"If you have somewhere to be, then go." Urahara instructed. This was one of those times where Urahara lost his playfulness, and replaced it with a more serious tone.
"Then get Kagami and I'll be on my fuckin' way!" Grimmjow growled once more.
"Just leave Grimmjow, she's not here." Urahara lied, that serious tone and expression never fading. But Grimmjow knew you were there, he knew you were inside. It was the fact that no one would let him get to you that was pissing him off and frustrating him.
"Fuck this." Grimmjow answered annoyed as he threw the bouquet of roses to the ground, smashing it with his foot after. Without another word to Urahara, Grimmjow left in a fit of rage. Urahara stared after him as Grimmjow slammed the door, and then felt his reiatsu flare up.
That night Grimmjow had gone to his new 'playmate' after cancelling a dinner plan with Hana. However, his night of 'fun' didn't last long. Grimmjow's mind was plagued with thoughts and frustration that he had left early, so early that neither of them had time to take their clothes off.
Grimmjow had stayed in a hotel each night, and it was like that for the past few days. Grimmjow would go to work, go back to the hotel and loaft around. It's not like he wasn't welcomed to go back to the Urahara Shop, it's just that he felt unwanted, so he didn't go back. Even at night, Grimmjow had skipped his night outs, and ignored calls from both Hana and the new girl. His life had become boring. The only excitement he ever got was when Jiro would hand him a bento, each time claiming it was from you. Grimmjow was sure he had made you cry, especially with the way he was confronted by Urahara and Zaraki about it. Yet, everyday still, you would cook and bring him lunch. In a way, he felt like he didn't deserve it, cause he didn't. But that didn't stop you from making him one.
"Grimmjow, your 'woman' is here." Jiro commented in a low voice as he let Hana into his office. He wasn't expecting her to come in today, oh well.
"Hi Grimmjow." Hana said with a smile as she quickly bounded towards Grimmjow sitting at the desk, giving him a kiss on his cheek. "I brought you lunch." Hana said cheerfully.
"I already have lunch." Grimmjow answered plainly, him never lifting his eyes from his paper work.
"Oh, you do? Where is it?" Hana asked as she looked at his table, looking for this so called 'lunch' Grimmjow was claiming to have.
"It's coming." Grimmjow answered.
At that moment, another knock came to the door.
"Come in." Grimmjow called out.
"Grimmjow, Kagami- san's usual lunch is here for you." Jiro said as he placed the bento on Grimmjow's desk, and left.
"Who the hell is Kagami?" Hana asked almost bitterly.
"My woman." Grimmjwow answered as he began to unwrap the pink handkchief around the bento boxes.
"So what happened to to the lunches I made for you?"
"I gave them to Dachi."
"You gave my lunches I made for you, away!?" Hana yelled. "Grimmjow that was a gift to you!"
"Oh fuckin' well. I like Kagami's cooking better anyways." Grimmjow answered as he began to eat, uncaring to Hana's presence now. With that comment, Hana threw a small fit of rage.
"Last time you were saying how much better I am then this Kagami person." Hana growled.
"Tch." Grimmjow almost laughed. "No one is better then my fucking woman. Especially not you."
"Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez! We're fucking done!" Hana screamed, stomping her way out of the shop.
"What the hell was that?" Daichi asked as a pissed off Hana walked out of the store in a fit of rage.
"Here." A sudden voice said, throwing a bento lunch onto the cashier table towards Daichi. "She forgot her lunch."
"What happened?" Jiro asked still surprised. "Did you just dump her?"
'No." Grimmjow answered. "I just told her she's shit compared to Kagami." Grimmjow said, before walking back into his office to eat.
Jiro watched as Grimmjow walked back into the office, and couldn't help but smile as his current actions.
End.
