Everyone admired the feast that you and Yumichika had cooked, it had taken awhile since both you and Yumchika kept getting distracted, Yachiru being the main distraction.
It was awkward eating dinner though, especially for Grimmjow. For most of the time, you and Grimmjow had tried to make minimal eye contact, which caused an awkward silence between everyone.
You and Grimmjow had decided to sit on opposite ends of the table, everyone looking back and forth between you two, wondering what was going to happen next. Everyone had known something had happened the two of you, due to the fact that you had stopped going to the World of the Living for some time. However, no one pressed on asking since most were scared that if something bad did happen between you two, they didn't want to be the target of Grimmjow's rage or your crying. Even Zaraki didn't bother to ask. As long as you didn't come home crying, then he didn't have to kill anyone. And Yachiru... well Yachiru was out of the loop most of the time.
And this was how dinner went on for the rest of the night. An awkward silence, everyone waiting for either you or Grimmjow to say something to each other. But nothing happened. You had slowly picked at your food, as if you were nervous, while Grimmjow wolfed down his meal, clearly enjoying it, and even politely asking for seconds. Wtf?!
Dinner had finished, Grimmjow being the first, and excusing himself from the table.
"Where are you going now Grimmjow- san?" Urahara asked, curious onto what he was going to do. Usually Grimmjow is never home in the shop, so having him there is awkward, especially with you around now.
"I'm going to sleep." Grimmjow answered irritated. "That fucking food made me sleepy." Hearing such a comment, you shot a cold glare at Grimmjow. Which everyone immediately noticed, due to the fact you had cooked dinner with Yumichika's help. But the comment didn't seem to bother Yumichika at all.
"It was good." Grimmjow finished, stretching his arms up as he walked up the stairs with a yawn. Your glare eased, and you were quite surprised by the comment. You had just remembered that Grimmjow usually took naps after a good meal, and if the meal sucked, well he went on and found something else to eat.
Your cheeks were flushed a slight pink at Grimmjow's comment, but to keep everyone away from looking at you, you helped Tessai clear the table. However, Zaraki knew better, and instantly caught the colour on your face. He couldn't help but let out a small chuckle.
"What's so funny Ken- chan?" Yachiru asked, looking up to her fatherly figure with her big brown eyes.
"Nothing brat." Zaraki brushed off with a grin. "Go get Kagami and take your bath now."
"Alright." Yachiru answered with a smile, and raced off to the kitchen to go get you.
Grimmjow walked into his room, the second futon always being the first thing he sees. He had to remember that you also slept in the room at times, so he tried to keep the room as clean as possible. Which highly irritated him since he isn't known to clean after himself.
But as soon as Grimmjow walked into the room, a silhouette on the window sill had caught his attention. A murderous and joyous grin appeared on Grimmjow's face, his woman was a liar. There on the window sill, sat a clear vase with blue roses sitting in it. He had only wished he had saw your expression when you had opened the gift, but other then that, he was happy you had gotten it.
"Yachiru you have to get ready for bed." You said in a harsh whisper to the hyper active small child who was running around the room in only her underwear. You would have screamed, but you didn't want to wake up an angry espada.
"Yachiru please be more quiet." You asked in a whisper. "Grimmjow is sleeping in the other room."
"Okay." Yachiru quickly agreed. Just like you thought, she was out of the loop about you and Grimmjow. Usually, she would be the first to ask, the first to know, and the first one to tell everyone else.
"Come on, onii- chan won't like it if your still awake." You said with a smile, tucking the small girl into bed.
"Can you stay with me?" Yachiru asked sweetly.
"Sure." You answered with a smile, sitting down beside Yachiru's futon. "Just till you fall asleep."
Grimmjow woke up to the alarm on his cellphone. Looking at the time, it was time for work. So Grimmjow got out of bed with a groan, he really didn't feel like going to work today.
Looking towards the window, Grimmjow smirked at the flowers once more, and noticed the empty box of chocolate laying not to far from it. Turning to the side, Grimmjow's smirk grew even more as he noticed you sleeping soundly, your chest rising up and down with your breathing.
Grimmjow slowly and softly crawled towards you, sitting down beside you, watching you sleep. It was peaceful. Looking you over, Grimmjow picked a up a piece of your hair, running his fingers through it. He had forgotten it was cut short, but it was growing. It was at a medium length now. Grimmjow loved your hair long, and how it was tied at the bottom so it wouldn't fly around. But after that incident with his female fraccion Yana back in Hueco Mundo, it was cut short. A bit too short to his liking.
Quickly, Grimmjow left the room to get ready for work. If he stayed any longer, Grimmjow may give into his needs in wanting you. That, and he was going to be late.
It had suddenly become a usual thing for you, you were unsure how though. It had been several days now since you had become the soul deliver of Grimmjow's lunch.
You would wake up, have breakfast with everyone, play with Yachiru, then suddenly, Tessai would ask you to cook lunch and deliver some for Grimmjow. Of course you didn't argue, you felt like it was the least you could do since Urahara was letting you stay in the shop. And you had to admit, you enjoyed going out all the time. It's just that being the one to deliver to Grimmjow was annoying. So quickly, you got set to cooking lunch for everyone as Yachiru watched on the side, colouring in her new colouring book. You were glad she didn't want that strange game anymore, you figured she would break it anyways.
You had cooked lunch, packed Grimmjow's bento, and then went out for your usual delivery. You were actually surprised Zaraki wasn't stopping you, or sending Yumichika or Ikkaku to escort you. He must be taking his usual nap or training.
Grimmjow sat in the office, getting easily bored with Hana now. Hana would usually visit him at work now, bringing him bento lunches she would cook herself. Her cooking wasn't that bad, but Grimmjow preferred your cooking. Grimmjow was hoping for your usual delivery. What even prompted you to deliver lunch to him, was still a mystery to him.
"I was so bored last night without you. I was thinking of calling you last night, but I figured you were busy. So I decided to text you, but you weren't answering. So I waited..." Hana continued to ramble on. Unfortunately, Grimmjow was tuning out her voice as he barely payed attention to her story.
Grimmjow was presented with checking the stock of games in the back, as well as paper work that Daichi insisted Grimmjow do since he didn't want to leave the office. It was only fair.
This day just seemed to get even more boring for Grimmjow, he couldn't help but groan, slamming his head onto the desk. He would have forced someone else to do it, but Jiro was busy with cashier, and Kiyoshi had a day off today. Darn it!
"Grimmjow, you look rather nice today. Something special happening?" Hana asked, apparently she hadn't stopped talking all this time.
Grimmjow looked down at his outfit, it was simple. A brown sleeveless shirt, a belt to match, and dark jeans. The leather jacket he had decided to wear was hanging behind on the back of his chair.
"Do I now?" Grimmjow asked with a smirk, his question making Hana blush.
"Umm- um yes." Hana stuttered out, her cheeks growing redder. Hana couldn't keep her eyes off of Grimmjow's arm muscles, they were huge. Yes she had seen them before, but this was the first time that she had taken notice of them.
"Are you suggesting something..." Grimmjow said in a soft seductive whisper as he approached the crimson faced girl. "... Hana?"
"N- no. I'm o- only say- saying." Hana replied, feeling uncomfortably aroused by his presence. Grimmjow's face was inches from hers, his lips close to gliding over her own. Grimmjow was close to taking this woman now, but a sudden aroma, although very faint, stopped him. Grimmjow paused his actions, Hana giving him a weird look. She wanted Grimmjow to continue what he was doing to her, but he had paused. The entire time, Grimmjow was trying to pin point a smell that had entered the shop, and it was driving him crazy trying to figure out what it was.
"Hello!" You called out happily as you entered the game store. For some reason, you were really happy, you felt like today was a good day.
"Oh 'Mimi- chan'!" Jiro and Daichi called out at the same time, big smiles on their faces.
"You know, you can call me Kagami." You said with a smile as you approached the cashier
"Kagami. Such a beautiful name for a beautiful lady." Jiro commented with a pleasant smile.
"Funny, that's the reason my brother named me 'Kagami'." You said with a smile. "Sorry to bother you again... Umm..." You said, pausing in the end as you couldn't remember the names of the workers.
"Oh, my name is Jiro." Jiro said with a smile. "This is my manager Daichi, the other guy is Kiyoshi, he's off work today."
"Oh, well hello Jiro, Daichi." You said with a smile. "Sorry to bother you, but I have something for Grimmjow again." You said with a smile as you placed another bento wrapped with a pink hankerchief. "You don't mind giving it to him do you?" You asked sweetly.
"No problem." Jiro answered with a smile.
"Thank you." You said with a smile, and left the game shop the same way as you had entered, happily.
A knock came to the door, bringing Grimmjow back to his senses. It felt like it has been hours since Grimmjow was trying to figure out where that smell was coming from, but in reality it was only a few minutes.
"What?" Grimmjow answered the door forcefully.
"Kagami passed by, wanted me to give this to you." Jiro replied, holding up the bento box in another pink hankerchief. That's the smell that Grimmjow was trying to find! The smell that was making his mouth water, and distracting him. Your cooking!
"Yeah, thanks..." Grimmjow answered slowly in a small mumble, making Jiro's eyes widen slightly. Grimmjow never says thank you. In fact, he never uses his manners.
"What is it Grimmjow?" Hana asked curiously, peeking over Grimmjow's shoulder.
"It's nothing." Grimmjow answered, placing the bento on his table.
"Oh..." Hana answered, her eyes never leaving the object that Grimmjow has received. "Well I better go now. Don't forget to eat the lunch I brought you." Hana said with a smile, and then gently kissing Grimmjow on the lips.
"Yeah." Grimmjow answered back plainly. He didn't even bother to kiss Hana back or even walk her out of his office. Which surprised her, but she brushed it off.
"Umm, bye." Hana said, finally leaving.
"Yeah." Grimmjow replied.
Grimmjow waited awhile, until he knew for sure that Hana was no longer in the area. When he was sure, he left the office, carrying the lunch that Hana had made for him.
"Here." Grimmjow said, placing the bento on the cashier in front of Jiro and Daichi. "I don't want it."
"Again?" Daichi asked confused. He often wondered why he didn't just tell his current girlfriend that he was seeing you, but decided he didn't want to get into such matters.
"Yeah. I have lunch already." Grimmjow answered, which Jiro couldn't help but smile at.
Jiro found it funny that everyday Hana came to spend time with him, and even spent the time to make him lunch. While you only came in to drop off lunch you made for him, and then leave without seeing him.
"Jiro!" Grimmjow suddenly called out, snapping Jiro out of his thoughts.
"Uhh, yeah?" Jiro quickly answered, trying to make it look like he was paying attention.
"What's another gift I can get that woman?" Grimmjow asked seriously, waiting in anticipation for Jiro's answer. Jiro seemed good with woman, yet for some reason he didn't have a girlfriend. Was he gay?
"You mean Hana?"
"No! Kagami you idiot!" Grimmjow yelled in frustration, not like he ever got a gift for Hana in the first place.
"Oh. A bear I guess." Jiro answered thinking about it.
"A bear?" Grimmjow asked. He began to wonder where he would get a bear, he only knew that they were in something called a 'zoo'.
"Yeah. A stuffed animal bear." Jiro mentioned. Well that cleared up the misunderstanding of Grimmjow giving you an actual bear.
"Tch. Fine." Grimmjow replied, and went back inside to eat lunch.
You were back home, had eaten lunch, played with Yachiru, and had then decided to take a nap. Zaraki was doing it, while he had claimed he was watching Yachiru. Why couldn't you? So you layed down on the back porch, and took a nap for the rest of the day. Well, until you were bothered to help Tessai cook dinner.
Grimmjow walked home feeling stupid. In his hand he was carrying a light blue coloured bear, a light pink ribbon around it's neck. He felt as if he was a child carrying a bear, like he was weak. The sooner he gets rid of this bear out of his grasp, the happier he be.
Once again, Grimmjow had only written your name on the card, planning to give it to you in person. But once again, Grimmjow had found out you were busy in the kitchen cooking dinner. Grimmjow thought to himself if he had made plans tonight, but couldn't seem to remember. Oh well. Grimmjow decided he would have dinner back at the shop again.
Leaving the bear on the table once more, Grimmjow went back to the other room to take off his shoes. And once more, a very curious pink haired child had found the gift, read the card, and immediately took it to you.
"Mimi- chan! Look! I found another one!" Yachiru called out as she held the bear up to you.
"Another one?" You asked, looking over the bear, and noticing the card. It was indeed for you.
"Mimi- chan who gave it to you?"
"I'm not sure. It doesn't say." You answered, but you knew once again who it was.
"Mimi- chan, do you have a secret admirer?" Yachiru asked happily.
"Maybe." You answered with a smile. "Here, stir the pot for me while I go put this away. Ok?" You asked with a smile.
"Ok!" Yachiru answered, taking the big ladle from you and began to stir the pot, with help from Tessai.
And once again, the gift that Grimmjow had left on the table was gone. Just as Grimmjow was about to curse to himself, the kitchen door opened. Quickly, Grimmjow hid, not wanting to be seen by you. You left the kitchen with a smile, a small lump of blue fur sitting in your arms. Grimmjow watched as he noticed that the gift he had wanted to give to you was sitting in your arms. What made him smile though was the fact that you yourself were smiling, holding the blue bear tightly in your arms. Grimmjow smirked, this time, he was able to see your reaction.
End.
