Maybe he should have asked for more advice on a gift, as in more specifics. Having to make actual right decisions was to hard for Grimmjow. Earlier on, he had a hard time trying to decide what chocolate to get you. Who knew there was a variety of them!? Now he was having the same problem with flowers... who knew there was a variety of them!?
"Can I help you sir?" An elderly aged woman with a warm smile asked, peeking her head outside the door. Grimmjow only gave her a plain look, wondering if he should answer the lady.
"If you're looking for flowers for a special lady, I can help you." The lady offered. She didn't seem scared or intimidated by Grimmjow's scowl, what a surprise. Taking the lady's offer, Grimmjow followed the lady into shop.
Looking around, Grimmjow was surrounded by more flowers. Grimmjow wrinkled his nose in an unsatisfying way, the smell was so strong to him. Did females really like this disgusting smell?
"See anything you like?" The lady asked, that same smile on her face. Grimmjow had wondered if he raised his reiatsu just a bit, he wondered if his aura alone would kill the poor lady. Then again, he was trying not to get in trouble. And she was being nice to him...
Looking around, Grimmjow noticed a bouquet of pink roses, or so that's what he was told what the flower was called. Eyeing it carefully, he remembered the pink handkerchief that was wrapped around his bento. Grimmjow wondered if pink would be a nice colour to pick for you. He remembered your favourite colour was pink because it reminded you of Yachiru. But then again, he noticed a rather odd coloured bouquet of roses: blue. Without thinking much about it, he asked for the bouquet of blue roses.
"What would you like the card to say?" The lady asked, as she had already wrapped the flowers in a floral patterned paper.
"Does it matter?" Grimmjow asked annoyed.
"Yes." The lady answered pleasantly. "It's always nice to address who the flowers are for." The lady mentioned.
"Fine." Grimmjow gave in, just wanting to get out of the nice flower smelling shop quickly. "Just write 'Kagami'."
"Alright. Would you like me to put who it's from?"
"No." Grimmjow answered keeping his cool. He figured he didn't need to say who it's from, since he was planning on giving it to you in person.
"Alright Sir, here you go." The lady said, placing the card on the paper, and handing Grimmjow the bouquet.
"Yeah. Thanks." Grimmjow mumbled, not use to using manners. Hopefully the lady didn't hear him, he didn't need someone else to think he was soft.
"You're welcome Sir." The lady answered with that same smile, and then left to go to the back of the store.
Grimmjow walked back to the Urahara Shop, a box of chocolate in one hand, and a bouquet of flowers in the other, balancing it on his shoulder. Checking the time, Grimmjow had realized it should be close to dinner, meaning that he had timed everything perfectly.
Walking into the store, Grimmjow could already smell your cooking, he could even hear you... yelling?
"Ahh! I said watch it!"
"I was watching it!"
"I said watch that one, not that one!"
"Hisagi is the one who is supposed be watching it!"
"You burned it!"
"It's not burned... it's just black."
"That means you burned it..."
"You can still eat it."
"Get out of the kitchen! And get me Yumichika!"
Grimmjow could hear you scream along with two other male voices. Grimmjow grinded his teeth, whoever was with you in the kitchen, he was going to kill them. Grimmjow placed the chocolate and flowers on the table in the living room, getting ready to walk into the kitchen and start some shit, but his cellphone rang. Quickly, Grimmjow looked at the I.D.
"Shit..." Grimmjow said to himself as he ran out of the store, not wanting anyone to eavesdrop on his conversation. He had forgotten, he was supposed to meet up with Hana tonight.
"Grimmjow where are you?" Hana whined into the phone.
"Something came up babe." Grimmjow lied. "Family shit." Yes, this was definitely a lie.
"Oh, anything wrong?" Hana asked worried.
"No..." Grimmjow answered slowly, trying to think of his next lie. "My damn dad has guest over." Grimmjow said as he referred to Urahara as his so called 'dad', since that was the lie he's been telling since he arrived in the world of the living.
"Oh, alright then." Hana said rather disappointed. "I'll see you tomorrow then."
"Sure." Grimmjow answered, and hanged up.
While that conversation was going on outside, Yachiru was passing by the living room to get to the kitchen. She obviously wanted something sweet to eat, which she was constantly told she wasn't allowed until after dinner.
Heading towards the kitchen, something sitting on the table had easily caught Yachiru's eye. Making her way over, she had noticed a box wrapped with a blue ribbon, and another package in floral paper. Taking an even closer look, Yachiru read the card.
The card had read 'Kagami' in neat hand writing. Yachiru knew exactly who the gifts were for, but not who they were from. But Yachiru didn't care for the name of the sender, but was only interested in seeing what Kagami was getting as a gift.
"Mimi- chan!" Yachiru called out as you and Yumichika were cooking, Renji and Hisagi already kicked out of the kitchen for burning food. "Look what I have!"
"Uh, what is it?" You asked as Yachiru handed you both gifts.
"It's for you." Yachiru said happily.
"You got me a gift?" You questioned, wondering when Yachiru had time to even get you a gift.
"No, I found it outside." Yachiru answered innocently.
"Yachiru, then how do you know these are even for me?" You scolded.
"Cause it has your name on it!"
"My name?" You asked as Yumichika picked up the card on the bouquet.
"She's right." Yumichika answered. "Your name is written on here."
"Who is it from then?" You asked.
"Doesn't say. Just says your name." Yumichika said as he showed the card to you.
"Open the gift Mimi- chan!" Yachiru said excitedly, jumping up and down.
"Alright alright." You answered with a small laugh.
Opening the box first, you were slightly surprised to see a box of assorted chocolate. And then to see a bouquet of blue roses.
"Ah, a secret admirer." Yumichika said happily.
"Secret admirer?" You questioned back confused.
"Yes." Yumichika replied, he often wondered if you grew up under a rock or something. "It's from someone who likes you, but prefers to remain a secret."
"Oh." You answered surprised. A secret admirer... there wasn't anyone she could honestly think of. Unless she has a stalker... she really needs to stop being so nice to people.
"They're pretty Mimi- chan." Yachiru commented.
"Yeah..." You answered slowly, staring at the blue roses with a smile. "Too bad there's no name from the sender."
But you of course, already had a feeling who it was as you stared at the blue ribbon.
Coming back in from his phonecall, Grimmjow was ready to give you his gift. But looking upon the table, they were gone. The choclate and flowers he had spent his time picking were gone, and he was now pissed off. Pissed, Grimmjow searched the area if someone had decided to hide it, and if someone did hide it, he was going to find who did, and kill them.
Getting even more frustrated now, and ready to cero anyone who dared come near him, he decided to ask Urahara if he knew anything about it. And if not, maybe Urahara would be able to find out who took his things.
As Grimmjow went to find Urahara, you went upstairs with a vase of water, the bouquet of blue roses sitting inside of it. You had brought them to your room, and placed them near the window for sunlight. You smiled at them. They weren't your favourite colour, but you loved them either way. Pink was your favourite colour, while blue was Grimmjow's favourite. He never changes, always giving what he enjoyed the most to those he cared about. It sounds like a greedy idea, to give others something that you like instead of what they like. But if you were to think about it, Grimmjow was technically giving his favourite thing in the world, the colour blue in this case, to you. Meaning that he would give up his favourite thing in the world, just for you.
"Damn it! Where the fuck is it!?" You heard someone scream from downstairs.
"Grimmjow?" You asked yourself as you could hear his voice. You quickly made your way downstairs, noticing the blue haired espada screaming at Urahara frustrated over something. Yup, he never changes.
"Calm down Grimmjow." Urahara chuckled, finding it slightly funny that Grimmjow was getting all worked up by a missing bouquet of flowers and box of chocolate. "We'll find what your looking for."
"Fuck!" Grimmjow yelled in frustration. "That was a fuckin' gift for someone."
"A gift?" Urahara asked surprised. "For who may I ask?"
"None of your damn business!" Grimmjow yelled.
"Why are you yelling?" You asked annoyed. Grimmjow turned around to stare at you, he had bought a gift for you, but now it was missing. Damn it. His plan was going down the drain.
"Grimmjow is looking for something." Urahara mentioned playfully, covering his face with his fan. "A gift I believe that was sitting on the table."
"Oh! The gifts that were sitting on the table here? Nicely wrapped in a blue ribbon?" You asked surprised, pointing at the vacant living room table as you did.
"You know where it is woman?" Grimmjow asked, trying to keep his anger down.
"No." You replied plainly, then went back to the kitchen to help Yumichika with cooking.
Grimmjow only growled at your response, he was pissed off at you now.
"Well then," Urahara started. "Will you be staying for dinner Grimmjow?" Urahara asked.
"Yeah, fuck whatever." Grimmjow answered, still pissed off.
"Kagami- chan! Prepare an extra plate! Grimmjow- san will be staying with us for dinner tonight!" Urahara yelled into the kitchen.
"Does he want it in his kitty bowl!?" You yelled back.
"Fuck you woman!" Grimmjow yelled back, obviously hearing what you had said. Grimmjow would have walked into that kitchen and beat you, but hearing your laugh calmed him down slightly. He missed that, he missed hearing the sound of your voice, the sound of your laugh.
End.
