~Chapter 18~

"XANA has been silent for 3 days, that's not strange at all." Jeremy spoke, pushing his spectacles up his nose.

"Hm, do you think...?" Aelita asked, looking at Jeremy with a worried face.

"XANA's planning something even more scarier than before." Jeremy confirmed Aelita's worry.

"If she managed to start a earthquake in our school before, what else do you think will happen this time?" Jenny asked.

"I don't know..." Jeremy frowned.

Odd groaned, Yumi and Ulrich gave each other worried faces.

"I can't believe-" Sissi cut Jenny off.

"Hi Jenny! I think you should join me at our lunch table there. You should hang with the cool people, not losers like them." Sissi gave a disgusting fake smile and then quickly turned to Ulrich, "Oh Ulrich, you're not a loser like them, you should join us too."

Sissi tried a flirty wink, and it so wasn't working.

"It takes one to know one, Sissi." Yumi said.

"At least i'm not ugly like you." Sissi said, putting her hand on her hip.

"Thanks, I was trying to look like you today." Yumi smirked.

That sentence sent Sissi hopping mad, her face turned cheery red, you could see smoke coming out from her huge nostrils.

"Jenny and Ulrich, let's go!" Sissi said and turned around, it took her a few steps to realise that Jenny and Ulrich weren't behind her.

She turned around and looked at the two of them, urging them to come over.

Jenny just rolled her eyes and sipped on her drink while Ulrich stood up, walked over to Sissi, leaned towards her ear and said,

"If you say things like that to my girl one more time, you'll really regret it."

He moved back, smiled at her and walked back to the table.

Sissi couldn't even comprehend what happened, she had this dumb expression on her face as she walked back towards her table.

"Nice." Jenny said.

"What? You could hear what he said?" Odd asked, full in disbelief.

"Yes. My ears are sensitive." Jenny winked at Ulrich.

Ulrich blushed with embarrassment. His "my girl" meant Yumi, and Jenny knew exactly what that two words mean.

Yumi took the blush as a whole different meaning, she pretended that it wasn't bothering her. But it sure was.

Odd too, took the wink as a whole different meaning. Instead of pretending he wasn't bothered, he expressed it clearly that he was.

Odd's face was a little grumpy and he refused to speak to Ulrich afterwards.

In class, he was extremely quiet and ignored every single question that Ulrich asked. Leaving poor Ulrich confused.

But Ulrich couldn't ask him why because XANA launched another attack.

"Students, please head back to your respective dorms as there seems to be a hazardous smoke emitting from the Chemisty Lab. We advise students to stay in your dorms until further instructions."

The Principal announced through the PA system. Everyone quickly made their way back into their dorms through the teachers' instructions.

The gang knew what was up and texted each other about the situation. They all agreed to meet at the factory in an hour by themselves.

"Aelita, how are we going to get about this?" Jenny asked, sitting on the bed.

"We should get masks and try not to get caught." Aelita replied, shutting her window and sealing it with duct tape.

Jenny nodded and stuffed a wet towel in the gap between the door and floor, making sure the gas would seep through.

"I guess that's it." Aelita said, clapping her hands together.

The both of them sat down, waiting for the noise outside to subside down. The evacuation was still in progress so they had to wait before escaping.

"Did you find out more about your sister yet?" Jenny asked.

"No..." Aelita sighed, "There are many things that requires passwords and the security on them are super tight. It's impossible to hack through."

Jenny patted Aelita's back and smiled, "You'll find her."

Aelita grabbed Jenny's hand and placed it on her lap.

"I'm sorry I thought you were my sister and went crazy over it."

"Nah, it's okay. I know how you feel, it must feel pretty great when you think you found your family."

"Thanks."

"Hehe, it's fine."

The both of them smiled at each other.

"Well, i'm happy that you're my roommate. I was supposed to be with some Betty girl. She's awful, i've seen her. Eugh!" A mere thought of Betty sent shivers down Jenny's body.

Aelita chuckled at Jenny's reaction.

Minutes passed, the two of them got ready and put on masks.

Jenny's hand on the door knob, Aelita counted to 3 and the two of them rushed off.
