Sean wasn't sure how long he had been driving but he needed to be as far away from Chicago as possible, he didn't even bother to tell Kara he was leaving. He knew once she woke up and realized he was he gone she would call Voight and sooner or later everyone would know.

He didn't want to see the look of pity on their faces, or hear the 'poor Sean' bullshit, so he left. It killed him leaving Kara, he truly loved her and always would he just needed some time alone.

"Mom, what's wrong?" Declan put his lacrosse stick in the closet, "you like you've been crying?"

"Sit down, honey" she patted the couch, "it's about your brother"

Declan felt his knees go weak, "is he alright?"

Helen wiped her eyes with a tissue, "he's been arrested, the police think he killed that girl he was seeing" she told him.

"Did you call Uncle Adam, he will tell them Trey didn't do it, and they'll have to let him go, right?"

Kim opened the door, "Helen! I just heard, where are you?" She yelled as they went inside, she had already called Phil and he was on his way.

"We're in the living room" Helen told her, thankful she wasn't alone anymore.

"Aunt Kim, you need to talk to Uncle Adam, he will help Trey" Declan pleaded, "he will help him, right?"

It broke Kim's heart but she knew Adam wouldn't be able to do a damn thing, "I'm sorry Declan but Adam can't help" she wanted to scream, she couldn't understand why he was  so quick to believe Trey could do something so horrible.

"My brother is being an asshole" Annie spat, "We need to help Trey"

Hank sat opposite Trey, he watched as the kid picked at the last few potato chips, "tell me happened, did you have a fight or something?" The kid's eyes never leaving the plate, "you tell me the truth and maybe we can help you Trey"

"Where's my uncle?" Trey asked, he needed to speak with Adam, "I want to talk to my uncle Adam"

Hank shook his head, "that's not happening Trey, but let me help you"

"I didn't kill her" Trey told him.

"Maybe you didn't mean to, you guys just had a fight? Maybe things got a little rough, an accident maybe"

"No, nothing happened. When I left her she was alive and had gone upstairs into her dorm room"

"Don't lie to me Trey, we have surveillance video of someone wearing a hooded sweatshirt with your name on it dragging Mallory away" Hank leaned into his face, "we have the video you sent Mallory's friends, did you really think they wouldn't bring it to us?"

Trey leaned back in the chair the handcuffs rubbing his wrists raw, "I don't know what the hell you're talking about" he couldn't believe it "someone stole my phone!"

Hank rolled his eyes, "sure kid" he stood and left the room, he wanted to let him sit.

"Annie, will you watch the children?" Kim asked after hanging up with the attorney "I need to go with Helen and Phil down the 21st, the attorney is meeting us" she grabbed her purse.

"Of course, please call me when you know something.Trey didn't do it, Kim we need to help him"

Kim hugged her, "we will, I will be back as soon as possible"

"Trudy, can you buzz us up, this is my nephew's attorney" Kim said as they entered the 21st, the last person she wanted to see was Adam but it couldn't be avoided.

"Absolutely" Trudy told her as she pushed the button granting them access to the bullpen.

Adam wasn't at his desk when they arrived, "Erin, this is Benjamin Spielman, he's Trey's attorney, he would like to speak with my nephew"

"Of course, right this way" Erin led him to the interrogation room, she opened the door and told him to go in "you have two hours"

She went to the break room, "Adam, your wife is here, with your in-laws"

Adam sighed, he wasn't sure he wanted to see Helen or Phil and he knew Kim was furious with him, "she pissed?"

"A little bit, she brought in Spielman. She isn't playing, huh?" Erin told him, she sat in the chair opposite him, "you have to understand her position Adam, she doesn't know what we know"

"Thanks. She'll know soon enough." Adam stood and went to see his wife.

"Trey, my name is Benjamin. You need to tell me everything" he said as he sat down and turned on his recorder, "how long have you known Mallory"

Kara couldn't wait any longer, her numerous calls to Sean's phone had gone unanswered as did the thirty something text messages she had sent, it was time to call Hank Voight.
