"Kim, can we talk, please?" Adam asked when he spotted her in the bullpen, he could feel Helen's eyes on him.

"At home Adam, not here" she told,him her voice cold and sounded angry, "this isn't the place for what I need to say to you"

She turned and went back over to Phil and Helen, "try not worry Adam, she's just looking out for her nephew right now" Kevin told him, "she can't stay mad at you for too long."

Adam laughed, "that's what you think"

Helen folded her arms, "does Adam think Trey did it?" She questioned Kim, she watched as Kim glanced in Adam's direction "he does, doesn't he?"

Helen marched over to Adam's desk, "you think my son killed that girl don't you?"

Adam stood, "Helen, I don't know" he said and it was the truth, he didn't know. He hoped to hell that Trey didn't do it but the evidence was stacked against him.

Helen sucked her teeth, "you bastard!" she spat and slapped his face.

Adam was stunned he brought his hand to his cheek, "Helen I---"

"Just shut up Adam! My son isn't a killer" she went after him again, Kim frozen in place shocked that her sister in law had just hit her husband.

Kevin stepped in front of Adam, "Mrs.Burgess, you need to calm down or I will have to remove you from the building" he told her struggling to keep her from attacking Adam again.

"Helen, let's go" Phil told her, "they won't let us see Trey today so let's just go home. I'm sure Declan and Charlie would feel better if you went home"

"Fine" she told him, as she walked by Adam she glared at him, "I will never forgive you for letting them lock my son up as if he was a criminal"

Phil grabbed her elbow, "let's go"

Kin watched as Adam sat at his desk and buried his face in his hands, she wanted to reach out to him, but it was hard to see past the fact the he thought her nephew was capable of killing some one, it hurt her.

"You okay?" Kevin asked placing his hand on Adam's shoulder, "that had to be rough"

"I'm fine, just worried about Trey" he desperately wanted to believe that he was innocent but it was hard to argue with the evidence. "Have they found the murder weapon, yet?"

Kevin shook his head, "not yet, ME says it was blunt force trauma"

Hank emerged from his office, "have any of your heard from Roman at all today?"

"No, why?" Adam asked.

"I just got off the phone with Kara, he's in the wind" he told them, "she said he hasn't been himself for a couple of days and now she's hasn't heard from him in hours and he's not answering her calls or texts"

"Those bodies we found in the woods, it seemed to rattle him, he puked at the scene. He was pretty quiet too" Adam explained remembering how odd Sean acted, he chalked it up to being the first serious crime scene he had come across. Now, he wasn't so sure.

Annie couldn't believe the amount of news vans that had gathered in front of the house, she quickly dialed Kim's number.

"Hello?" Kim answered.

"It's Annie, you guys need to get home, the media is here. Like all of them, they keep ringing the doorbell and they won't leave"

"We're on our way home now, they wouldn't let us see Trey" Kim explained.

Sean watched as the waves crashed on the shore, he had made it in record time to New Jersey the ocean could always calm him. He had already stopped at his parents house and grabbed his surfboard, they didn't even question his arrival. If he was surfing it was because he needed to clear his head, they knew he would talk when he was ready.

Linda was tired of this place, she wanted out in the worst way but it would be at least another year. She stared at the ankle monitor, she knew she wouldn't be able to get far with that damn thing on. Her 'buddy' Kay was the biggest pain in the ass, she was far too chipper for Linda's liking and everything was 'God's will', Linda had given up on god a long time ago. The night her son decided to eat lead to be specific, she put the cigarette out on the bottom of her shoe and went back inside.

It was well past midnight when Adam arrived home, he found Annie's bedroom empty, and it didn't shock him, he figured she stayed at Helen's or had gone to their father's house.

Surprisingly, Kim was still awake, "hey, I'm surprised you're still up" he told her as he undressed and pulled on a pair of sweats, "are you angry with me?"

She put the magazine she had been reading down and looked at him "I don't know if angry is the right word Adam" her voice soft.

He climbed into the bed, "I don't know what to say, I don't want to think Trey did this but the evidence Kim it's bad" he rested his head on the pillow and closed his eyes, he wanted this all to be a bad dream.

"They wouldn't let us see him, and they transferred him to a detention center Adam, he's a good boy, he wouldn't do anything to hurt anyone" Kim could feel tears spring to her eyes, she didn't even bother to fight Adam when he pulled her into his arms. "I'm sorry Helen hit you" she said softly her hand caressing the cheek she had hit.

"I'm fine" he whispered bringing her hand to his lips and kissing it, "Spielman is a great lawyer, he can help Trey" he ran his hand down her back, "my sister, where is she?"

Kim ran her hand down his chest, "she's scared and angry, she said she couldn't stay here. She went to your dad's for a few days"

"Great" he said sarcastically, "I hate what this is doing to our family, you know that, right?"

"I do"

"Something else happened" he knew he needed to tell her about Sean, "have you spoken to Roman at all?"

"No, why?" She asked.

"He's in the wind, left Kara this morning and hasn't heard from him since, she's worried about him"

"Could this day get any worse?" She asked.

Adam smiled softly "let's not tempt fate"

Zeke couldn't contain his excitement, he was hungry for another target.

Annie couldn't sleep, her mind wouldn't stop racing. She grabbed her earbuds and phone and laced her shoes, she needed to go for a run. She quietly slipped out, knowing her dad would freak out if he knew she was going out at this time of night. She knew running would clear her head, and she needed it cleared in the worst way.
