"You're joking, right?" Ichigo didn't answer. "I am not going to the Soul Society!"

"Hannah, you have to," Ichigo said.

"I don't have to do anything."

"It's your own fault, you know."

"It is not!" Hannah shot back.

"If you hadn't exposed yourself like that then you wouldn't be in this mess."

"But if I didn't that Hollow and Soul Reaper would've killed me!"

"You shouldn't have even been in that area!"

"Well, it's not my fault! I should be free to walk around freely in my own town!"

"You could've just run away!"

"I was curious okay! And it's your fault too for not letting me know what was going on with you, then I wouldn't have gotten in this situation in the first place!"

"Don't blame this all on me! You're going, and that's final!"

"You can't make me!"

"If you don't go then the Soul Society will hunt you down!"

"I don't care," Hannah pouted, arms crossing over her chest and leaning back into the couch.

"Well, you better start caring, Hannah, 'cuz you just took down a Captain in the Thirteen Court Guard Squad. Kenpachi Zaraki for crying out loud, and he's the hardest one to beat!"

"Whatever," Hannah grumbled. "You know, I don't even remember what happened really, okay? One minute they were battling and coming at me and the next they were lying on the ground."

Ichigo sighed, calming himself down. "Well, you have no choice but to go to the Soul Society. Just give them the information they need and you'll be back soon."

"Fine," Hannah pouted. "But if I get killed, I'm blaming you, and I'll come back to haunt you, Ichigo."

He chuckled, ruffling his best friend's hair. "You're going to do fine, Hannah."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

"So you are Hannah Terry?" Yamamoto asked. She stood before the Captains and Lieutenants in the meeting room.

"Unfortunately," Hannah grumbled, earning a chuckle from a few.

"You attacked a Captain while he was out on a mission."

"It was self-defense. They were coming at me and I did it to protect myself."

"Care to explain what that was?"

Her shoulders shrugged. "Don't remember. I kind of blacked out. Everything was a blur."

Sighing, the old man tapped a finger on his cane, trying to figure out what to do. "Very well, until we know what kind of power you have and the size of your spiritual pressure you will stay in the Soul Society until further notice."

"Perfect..." she groaned.

"And to make up for what you have done you will be living in the Eleventh Squad under Captain Kenpachi Zaraki's watchful eye."

Hannah groaned again, eyes landing on the smirking Captain. "Can you please just kill me now?"

"No."

Kenpachi walked up to Hannah, stopping in front of her. "You're with me, woman."

A vein pulsed on Hannah's forehead. "I have a name you know," she said darkly. Kenpachi chose to ignore her.

"Wow, you're the one who hurt Kenny?" a child asked from Kenpachi's shoulder.

"It was an accident!" Hannah yelled, waving her arms around. "I swear!"

She jumped down onto Hannah's shoulder. "My name is Yachiru, Grumpy."

"Grumpy?" Hannah asked.

"Yeah! That's your name until you cheer up."

Hannah looked up at the large Captain, wondering if this was serious or some kind of joke. One look told her this wasn't. "This is the worst day of my life," Hannah muttered from under her breath. Kenpachi threw back his head with a laugh upon hearing her remark before picking up Hannah from around the waist and rushing off to his Division.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Sunshine!" Yachiru called. Hannah turned in her spot, watching as the Lieutenant came running towards her. "What are you doing today?"

Once Hannah cheered up a bit, she received the new nickname. Depending on her mood Yachiru would call her either or of the two. Two weeks had already passed since Hannah arrived, Ichigo visiting once in a while. "Nothing much today, Yachiru. What do you have in mind?"

"Sparing with Kenny?"

Hannah cocked an eyebrow at this. "You face the Captain?" She had never seen that before.

"No silly, Kenny and you!" Hannah knew it. "He's waiting in the training grounds by the barracks and wants to know if you want to spar."

"Fine," Hannah sighed. "Not like anything's going to happen."

Hannah spared against many Soul Reapers, but none could bring out whatever power she supposedly had.

"Kenny!" Yachiru called when they walked up. "I found Sunshine!"

Kenpachi glanced over at them, smirking wildly at Hannah who in turn rolled her eyes. "Ready, Terry?" Kenpachi asked, drawing his zanpakuto.

"Fine," Hannah answered lazily, hopping back and forth on the balls of her feet.

Though Hannah had no weapon she was fast and used her hands and feet to hold the Captain at bay. Many were surprised at this, seeing as that most Soul Reapers in the Eleventh Division couldn't even do that. Also the fact that she was a woman.

Hannah threw back her body in an arch as Kenpachi's zanpakuto came around. She snapped back up before twirling out of the way. This continued on for a good twenty minutes, drawing a crowd. "Fifty yen says that woman wins," some bet.

"You're on!"

Hannah pushed off the ground, jumping into the air. She spun in three circles before smacking her right foot into Kenpachi's cheek. The Captain stumbled backwards, regaining his footing. There were 'Ooo's' and other jeering noises that came from the crowd.

"You've got spunk, woman, I'll admit that," Kenpachi said with a grin as he wiped the blood away from the corner of his mouth. "Even without a zanpakuto or other form of weapon you're a fierce fighter."

"I'll take that as a complement, Zaraki," Hannah answered.

Kenpachi rushed forward, lashing out at the young woman again. She moved faster, dodging attacks left and right. Then Kenpachi caught her, his zanpakuto coming in from the left and Hannah ducked, rolling between the Captain's legs. When she stood again the zanpakuto was coming around the other way, aiming for the right side of her neck. Hannah's eyes widened, watching the oncoming blade. She had two choices: throw up her hand in protection and possibly losing it or a few fingers, or having her head removed from her shoulders.

Hannah went with number one, throwing her hands around in defense. The sound of clashing metal rang through the air, the scrapping noise sending chills down some of the men's spines. Kenpachi's smirk grew crazier, seeing Hannah's weapon in her hands. It was in the shape of a cross, the ends angling into a point with two holes on each branch so Hannah could grip it in different places. The weapon was as tall as her body, width matching the six-foot one-inch height.

"Well now, this is interesting," Kenpachi grinned as Hannah's eyes skimmed over the weapon in her hands. "Now we're talking!" The Captain pushed Hannah away from him and she slid backwards.

Hannah threw around the weapon again, clashing with Kenpachi. Cheers came from the crowd as the fight intensified, earning the attention from the other Squads that happened to be passing by on errands. They came to watch as well. The young woman jumped away from Kenpachi, spinning in a circle. She released the weapon and it spun through the air, heading right for Kenpachi. The Captain pushed against the blade that threw him backwards and into a building. Squad members scrambled out of the way just in time.

Hannah rushed over to the wreckage, pulling her weapon from it. "Zaraki?" she called into the destroyed area, the Captain's body not in sight. "Kenpachi Zaraki, you better come out of there right now, this isn't funny!"

"You think she killed him?" Yumichika asked Ikkaku from under his breath.

"If she did, she's one scary chick," Ikkaku muttered back.

Hannah stomped her foot. "This isn't funny!" she yelled. "Get your ass out of there right now!"

A dark chuckle came from the darkness before Kenpachi sprang from his hiding place and coming head on at Hannah. His hand wrapped around the neck, forcing Hannah backward. Her back slammed into a wall, the man's body looming over her. Hannah gripped her weapon tightly, throwing it towards Kenpachi's side, but he knocked it out of her hand.

"Are you done?" Kenpachi asked.

"For now, yes," Hannah managed out, hands wrapping around his big hand to try and pull it away. "But never."

Kenpachi smirked. "That is enough," Yamamoto ordered, walking forward. The man released Hannah and she gripped at the area to try and ease her sore throat. "We now see what your power is and your spiritual pressure."

"Then you know that I meant no harm, right?" Hannah asked with hope.

Yamamoto nodded. "You may return to the World of the Living when you're ready."

Hannah nodded, seeing that her weapon had vanished into thin air. She then left the grounds quickly, going to her room, closing the door behind her. Hannah sighed loudly in relief, pressing her back against the door before sliding down the wall to sit on the floor. "Jeez..." she muttered, running a frustrated hand through her short brown hair. "What a pain in the ass."

Hannah looked around the room she had been living in for the last few days. "Hannah?" Kenpachi's gruff voice asked from the other side of the door. It made her jump in surprise. He never called her back her first name.

"Yes?" she asked.

Kenpachi was quiet for a few seconds before asking, "When are you leaving?"

"Uh... I don't know... maybe after dinner..."

There was silence between the two for a while before the Captain said, "You know, we could use your skills in this Squad."

A smile tugged at Hannah's lips. "Thank you for the complement, but I'm a human, not a Soul Reaper."

Kenpachi scoffed. "That hasn't stopped you these past few weeks."

"Yeah, but that's because I just wanted to get this over with."

"So what's stopping you now?"

Hannah stopped to think for a minute before answering, "Fear I guess." Kenpachi laughed. "Don't laugh! I'm confused, okay! When I got here, I didn't want anything to do with the Soul Society. But now..."

"But now what?"

"But now I've grown to enjoy living here... more than when I lived in my world."

"So what's stopping you?"

"I still have a life back home, Zaraki."

The door was pulled open, Hannah falling backwards. Her head landed on Kenpachi's feet and she looked up at the Captain. "And what about here?" he asked, looking down at her.

"I just came here! I don't know what to think," she groaned the last part. Hannah sat up, crawling back into the room. Kenpachi walked in as well, closing the door behind him. Hannah then flopped back onto the floor, looking up at the ceiling. Kenpachi took a seat beside the young woman's head.

"You don't have to go," the man pointed out, making Hannah look up at him. "Like I said before, you could stay here."

It was silent in the room for a good five minutes. Kenpachi didn't look down at Hannah, who stared up at him. "Do you want me to stay?" Hannah asked in a whisper.

Kenpachi leaned over, laying his lips on hers softly. The action shocked Hannah and made her blush as well. "Yes, I want you to stay," Kenpachi answered, pulling away. He didn't meet the human's eyes, staring at a wall. There was silence between them again, Hannah thinking about the situation. She then smiled softly, looking up at the back of Kenpachi's head.

"If you want me to stay then I might need a little more convincing." Kenpachi turned his head slowly, looking down at Hannah's form. A smirk slowly came to Kenpachi's lips, amusement in his eyes. This time, the Captain bent down, tangling one of his hands in Hannah's short hair and kissed her harder. Hannah kissed back, grabbing the front of Kenpachi's haori.

He moved, hovering over Hannah's body as his free hand ran down her side, roughly gripping her hip. Hannah groaned into the kiss, turning Kenpachi on. The human ran her hands over Kenpachi's covered chest before pulling them closer. When the two broke for air they looked each other in the eyes.

"So... will you stay?" the Captain asked in a hoarse voice.

Hannah, still breathing deeply, answered, "Yes." Kenpachi grinned, his hand stroking Hannah's cheek. "You know you might have to fight Ichigo over this," Hannah mumbled. "Even though I am older than him and can make my own decisions."

Kenpachi roared with laughter. "Good! I've been waiting for my rematch with him for a while now."

Hannah laughed lightly, looking up at the man above her. "You're crazy, you know that?"

Kenpachi's grin turned into a smirk before Hannah's lips kissed him again.
