"Izuru, have you seen your Third Seat today?" Renji asked, walking into the Lieutenant's office.
"She was here earlier..." Izuru said in thought. "But then left in a hurry. Something about leaving something unlocked."
Renji shrugged his shoulders, sitting down. "Then I'll wait. My Captain asked me to give her some paper work."
A few minutes later they heard someone yell, "GIN ICHIMARU YOU ARE DEAD!" The force behind the shout made the earth shake, and scared the Lieutenants out of their seats.
"I-I think we found Erin," Renji stammered.
"Y-You t-t-think?" Izuru answered in worry. "She may be small, but the Captain is crazy with the way he messes with her."
Renji chuckled, shaking his head. "I'll still wait. You're Division at the moment has become very interesting."
Soul Reapers moved out of the way in respect when Gin Ichimaru flash stepped past them. However, it was another matter when they saw Erin Ine barreling down the road towards them. They pressed their backs up against the wall fast so they were not in the path of the young woman's destruction.
"Damn it, Gin!" she yelled, still chasing her Captain. "Come back here and face me like a man!"
"Language like that is very un-lady like, Ine," Gin said back, his grin ever present on his face.
A vein pulsed on Erin's forehead in annoyance. "Like I care! Give me back my zanpakuto!"
"You mean this?" Gin taunted, holding the sword in his hand.
"Yes that!"
"You should've a) locked your door, or b) had it on you. Will you ever learn?"
Gin's taunting made Erin's blood boil and she picked up speed.
Gin and Erin, went back, having grown up in the Rukongai District with Rangiku. The reason Erin could curse at her Captain and not get in trouble was because they were very close friends. Gin, even as a kid, loved to tease her. It wasn't in a mean way, but a playful one. The girl learned valuable lessons through Gin's tricks because some of them she did not want to experience again. This was another one of the man's many lessons, one Erin kept on forgetting, sadly.
The Soul Reaper groaned. "I promise I'll learn Gin, now please give me back my zanpakuto."
"Hmm..." the Captain mused. "No." Erin's hopeful face dropped. "I think I'll hold onto it a little while longer."
The young woman growled, spiritual pressure rising. As she rushed forward, she released a small burst of pressure. Erin slammed into the man's back, making the two fall to the ground. She snatched her zanpakuto from Gin's grasp halfway down.
"Ha, ha!" she laughed, holding her prize in hand. "I win!"
Gin sighed from his position, propping himself up. "I don't remember you being so fast, Erin." The woman stuck out her tongue at Gin, who's spine she was currently sitting on. He chuckled at her childish demeanor. "Are you done or are you going to let me sit up?"
"Hmm..." Erin said in thought. "I'm debating..."
The Captain pushed himself up, making Erin roll off to the side. "So, what have you learned from all of this?"
Erin sighed, standing up. "Make sure to keep your door locked when your zanpaktuo is not on you, or have it on you."
Gin grinned wider, standing as well. "Very good," he said, patting the top of her head. "Shall we return to the office?"
Erin smiled. "Izuru's probably worrying his ass off wondering if one of us killed each other."
Gin laughed. "More like he's wondering if you killed me."
The Soul Reaper rolled her eyes. "Well I can't help it. You're teasing gets me going."
Erin didn't see Gin's expression change slightly. He shifted closer to the woman, bending down. "Really now?" he asked, breath caressing her neck.
She jumped, not realizing how close he was. "Yes, really," she retorted. "And you've know that for years, so don't try and pretend like you don't know," Erin then added, pointing an accusing finger at her Captain.
Gin chuckled, getting closer to the Third Seat again as they walked. "You're so much fun to tease, Erin."
It was times when Gin said her name a certain way that made a shiver run down her spine. However, she made sure he never saw it. "Aw, shut it," she grumbled, arms crossing and looking away.
Erin could feel Gin's breath getting hotter on her skin, making her face heat up.
"Ine!"
Her head whipped forward, watching as Renji walked toward the two. Gin was standing a foot away again, like he had originally been when they had started walking. "Glad to see that she didn't kill you, Captain Ichimaru."
The man chuckled. "That would be a sight to see. Now, what did you need Ine for?"
"Oh, Captain Byakuya wanted me to give you these papers," Renji answered, handing them over. Erin looked through them. "Said to get them sighed as soon as possible and then take them over to the Head Captain."
Erin nodded. "I'll do that right away. Thank you, Lieutenant Abarai."
"No problem," the young man answered, giving Erin a loose salute. "I'll see you around." He then flash stepped away.
"So, what are they?" Gin asked in interest, looking over Erin's shoulder at the papers.
"The Head Captain wants me to sign off on a few papers regarding my last missing with the Sixth Squad," she answered. "This will only take a moment. I'll see you later, Captain." Erin then took her leave as well.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
When Erin returned to Squad Three the sun was setting. Izuru was the one to greet her in the office. "Ah, there you are Erin. Where have you been?"
"Eh, here and there," Erin answered, sitting on the edge of his desk. "Had to finish some paperwork from the Sixth Squad, hunted a Captain... All in all it was a very successful day."
Izuru laughed. "Yes, I was very surprised when the Captain came in with no injuries on him."
Erin shrugged her shoulder. "Meh, I went easy on him... this time..." she then added, grinning evilly.
Izuru shuttered, making the young woman laugh. "Anyway, the Captain wanted to see you before you retire for the evening."
Erin coked an eyebrow. "Oh? What for?"
He shrugged in response. "Don't know. All he said was for me to tell you to go and see him."
"Alright-y then. I'll see you tomorrow, Izuru."
The Lieutenant waved to the Third Seat as she left.
Erin lightly knocked on the door to Gin's room. The first three times there was no answer, so she entered on her own, only finding a lit candle in the room. She sighed in annoyance, hands resting on her hips. "Nice, Gin," Erin mumbled, taking a step in. "Tell me to come and see you and you're not here..."
The moment those words left her lips the door behind her closed and locked. Erin whirled around, trying to get it open again, but with no luck. Then the ribbon that held up her hair disappeared as well, letting her orange mid-back locks fall freely. Erin growled lowly before the lit candle went out.
"Alright, Gin, I know you're in here." His chuckle resonated in the dark air. A hand lightly touched her right hip, and Erin whirled around, face flushed in embarrassment. However, during that time he had managed to pull her zanpakuto away from her left hip. "Damn it, Gin!" she yelled, looking around in the darkness. The Captain only chuckled again.
Erin listened closely for any noise, the sun no longer present in the sky, sending the Soul Society into darkness. Gin's hot breath touched Erin's neck for a moment before disappearing, making the young woman whirl around. "This is harassment!"
Gin chuckled. "This is teasing, my dear," Gin's voice answered quite frankly.
Her face flushed. "You are so dead when I catch you, Gin."
Arms wrapped around her waist, pulling Erin's back up against the man's chest. "Well, it seems that I've caught you," he spoke in her ear, startling her. "And I said to myself that when I caught you I was going to give you something."
Erin swallowed the lump in her throat, no longer angry. The chills in her spine were back. "What?" she dared to ask.
Gin's breath moved to her cheek where his lips lightly touched the skin. The two froze in place, the Captain waiting to see if Erin ran away.
The young woman grew brave, whispering, "Is that all?"
She felt Gin's lips curve up into a grin. "Only if you want it to be."
Erin was silent, thinking. "Say it out loud, Gin... What do you want?"
The Captain turned her around in his arms, ice blue eyes looking into brown. "I want you, Erin," he answered, kissing her.
The Third Seat pulled him closer by tangling her hand in his hair, kissing back. Gin, liking Erin's reaction, wrapped his arms around her waist tighter. His tongue lightly touched her lower lip, but Erin didn't give him the satisfaction of letting him in. "You little tease," he mumbled, making Erin bite her lip seductively.
She laughed, whispering in his ear, "Payback."
Gin grinned mischievously. "Oh, I have ways..."
Erin squeaked, knowing he wasn't lying. In the blink of an eye, the man had pinned her against a wall, kissing her neck slowly. It made her groan, head craning back. He smiled against the skin. "I think I've made my point."
Erin moaned. Gin snickered at the reaction, kissing her again. They pulled away, Erin wrapping her arms around Gin's neck, nuzzling her nose into the crook of it. "How long?" she whispered.
"Since I first laid eyes on you," he answered, hugging her back.
Erin grinned. "Well then, we're a bunch of idiots."
Gin chuckled. "I teased you for a reason, Erin."
She scoffed. "Please, you already had me hooked. You're teasing only fueled my like for you more."
The Captain cocked an eyebrow. "Well then, I wonder what would happen if I continued to tease you now."
The young woman pulled away, looking Gin in the eye with a mischievous look of her own. "Oh please, find out," she answered seductively.
Gin pulled Erin closer, their lips almost touching. "I intend to."
