Now, don't get me wrong. I absolutely love Bleach. But after the initial thrill of finishing the anime, I started to realise its shortcomings. These things are rather nitpicky so I apologise in advance to any fangirls or fanboys which I offend. This rant purely contains my options and if you disagree or have answers to my questions, please feel free to tell me your opinion. But don't comment before reading the entirety of this rant.

Flaw No. 1

Character Development

Now Bleach has some pretty solid character development on most of its characters and I really don't care about some of the minors ones, but you can't give me info on useless people and not give me any on two main characters. By which I mean Aizen and Isshin Kuroskai. I mean, Aizen's development literally begins and ends with "I'm a traitorous bastard who's incredibly smart and looks good without his glasses."

Seriously, I would not have minded if he was just one of those evil characters that are evil for no damn reason but then at the end of Arrancar Arc, Ichigo just had to go and sympathise with him. So for like two minutes I was thinking, "Maybe he's just misunderstood." And then they cut to the scene with him being sentenced and he smiles. He freaking smiles that smile that says, "I'm going to break out of prison and murder each and every one of you with a cunning plan that none of you idiots saw coming. Also, I'm an evil bastard" smile.

I wouldn't have minded sympathising with him, really. But when you show me that he's just an evil bastard after making me sympathise, I'll hate you. Ichigo talks about Aizen's past and now I kinda want to know about it. You can't just tell me that he has a lust for power because as I've seen thought the series, Ichigo is able to understand the motives of the villains and understand the villains themselves. So why would you make the "Ichigo finally understands Aizen" scene so freaking confusing that I now need some bloody back story.

Speaking of back stories, Isshin needs one. I honestly need to know:

1) How did he became a Soul Reaper if he's still living?

2) Is he still a living person or in a gigai?

3) What made him give up being a soul reaper and become a doctor?

4) Is he a substitute Soul Reaper?

5) How old is he really if he's a Soul reaper?

6) How did he meet Misaki?

7) If it's supposedly uncommon for half Soul Reaper children to be born, how is Isshin Ichigo's father?

8) What is his backstory?

Speaking of backstories (again), I want one for Byakuya and Hisana because that isn't really explained. I'm not saying it's necessary but it would be cool to know.

Unexplained things

There are some things in Bleach that are pretty unclear.

Now I don't to hear any one say, Go and read the manga. Because if you do, I will find you and cut you.

Listen here, I'm all for using an anime to advertise a manga. Eg) Pandora Hearts, Vampire Knight, Kamisama Kiss, Ouran Highschool Host Club, Kaicho wa Maidsama and Jellyfish Princess to name a few. But do you know what these animes have in common? They are all under 30 episodes. So I shouldn't, I repeat, I shouldn't have to go read the manga of an anime that is freaking Three hundred and Sixty Six episodes long. I mean, I have already wasted god knows how much time of my life watching the anime and know you want me to read the manga?!

However, I do love manga so don't misunderstand. It just hard for me to watch something first and then read it. But they have enough to time so explain things and they should've done that instead of putting in useless fillers.

Stuff like:

What happens to soul reapers when they die?

What is the Soul King?

Is Grimmjow really dead?

Did something happen to Orihime when she was in Hueco Mundo?

If people in the Soul Society supposedly can't age, why is it that in the flash back in season 11 Byakuya is shown as young?

Weak Female Leads

Now Bleach has some pretty badass female characters eg, Yoruichi, Kukaku, Soi Fon but if they're so bloody awesome why the hell are Rukia and Orihime, the main girls, so freaking weak. I mean even Momo Hinamori does some bad assery towards the end of season 14 and Kuchiki and Inoe are just............blergh. And thats saying something because Momo wasn't exactly my favourite character. Orihime wasn't high up on my favourites list either but I liked Rukia. In the end though, they were just really weak. Also, I ship Ichigo and Rukia but in most of the ending themes they hint at Orihime and Ichigo ending up together.

But Rukia seems to only win by luck and she's only good at getting Ichigo out of his depressions. And that is it. At least Orihime can heal severe injuries and stuff.

Unnecessary Seasons

The seasons after the Arrancar arc were just unecesacry in my opinion. I mean that would've been a great ending. The ending of season 14 was just amazing in my opinion. The feels, the feels OMIGOSH the feels in that last episode. Rukia and Ichigo and just *dies*.

Season 15 was freaking stupid. What did we learn from that season? Absolutely nothing. Well other than the fact that Ichigo is the second substitute and the badges are like tracking devices and monitors. That's was pretty much it. So I ask you, was it necessary? I don't think so. I know that the producers had to do the whole "Ichigo gets his powers back" thing but couldn't they have made it more entertaining? Like I dunno, add in an actual plot that ties into the previous seasons. And stuff that actually matters throughout the whole series. Not "OMG the badge was not just a badge". I mean really?

Every season there's been a great and unexpected plot twist and this one was just like, "Oh the evil guy isn't evil. The guy who's good is actually evil and they're basically father and son."

Flaw No. 5

The Ending

I am just going to tell you the ending. Ichigo just says something like,

"See you later."

And that's how it ends. I'm not even joking.

Now, do you see a problem with this ending? Because I sure as hell do. It is so anticlimactic. That's usually how I end conversations with people I hate. Wait, is this the creators way of telling us that he hates us? You know what, never mind. It's just that after watching such great endings for previous seasons, I had high expectations for the ending of the series. And Tite Kubo hasn't disappointed me. Ever. Well, until now anyways.

But on a better note, the ending of the manga is waaaaaayyyy better than the anime ending. (According to a friend of mine)

So have any of you watched an anime that you have loved so much but it came with a disappointing ending. Some of mine were Kaichou Wa Maidsama, Legend of the Legendary Heroes (the thing was more like a prologue with an ending like that) and of course Bleach.

But of course some Animes have great endings. And some Animes I'll love regardless of how many flaws that they have.

See you later,

Kuro, out!

(And yes I just did what I got mad at Ichigo for doing. But I don't hate you guys, just trying to be ironic. I love you guys.)
