When Logan came back from that night's party, he didn't notice anything odd until he was about to climb into bed.
That's when he noticed the piece of paper laying on his pillow. He cautiously clicked on the bedside lamp to see the words, written in Lewis' signature green pen.
i'm not feeling good, i might've caught a cold from one of those meet-and-greet kids. sleep in the other bed + keep some distance from me tomorrow, okay sunshine? don't want you getting sick too. -plantboy
Logan sighed and turned to look at his sleeping friend. The boy didn't look good, his face overly heated and a slight rattle in every breath he took. Another piece of paper caught his attention then, this one stuck to the collar of Lewis' shirt, and read 'open me, dumbass'.
So that's what he did.
and don't use the healing thing on me. i'm fine. i might ask for some soup or a hug or a face mask thing or something, but i'm fine. go to sleep.
It was almost reluctantly that Logan did as the notes said, clicking off the lamp again and getting in the other bed.

In the morning, he was woken up by a rattling cough, and what had to have been Lewis almost falling out of bed. When he opened his eyes, he saw his bandmate writing something down on a page of the hotel's stationary.
Logan closed his eyes again when Lewis got up. Footsteps got closer, and something was put down right next to his face. Then, the footsteps went away and the door clicked closed. Another note was laying there, this one in black ink.
i'm gonna go ask someone to find cold medicine. woke up with a sore throat + no voice so you NEED to stay away from me today. if you get breakfast while i'm gone, can you please get me tea instead of coffee? thank you, sunshine.
These next few days were going to be difficult.

"Bailey, I am fine. If-"
"Chase, I love you, but you need to get back in bed. You sound horrible, and you look like you didn't sleep," Bailey replied calmly, standing in front of the door so Chase couldn't leave the apartment.
"But— I need to meet Ezra- If I don't-" She seemed to panic a bit at that, her hands nervously twisting the tissue she held.
"Him and Ronnie have the baby at home. If you go around any of them, you could risk getting Rosaline sick and you don't wanna do that." He reached out and grabbed her shoulder, then gently started pulling her back down the hall. "I'll make you some tea. Just get back in your pajamas and get comfy, okay?"
She sounded defeated when she mumbled, "Fine. Just because of the baby."
"Whenever you get changed, come out and lay on the couch. We'll watch movies or something, I'll make that soup you like, and you can make fun of some of my clients' ideas with me." Being the affectionate guy that he was, he pulled her in for a quick hug, and kissed her forehead softly before he let her go. "And you've got a fever so you need medicine."
Before she could reply, he walked off down the hall. Having a guy like him around was always a nice thing.
