Missing my earphones hours.
New chapter though.

"Okay, that's it for today. Don't forget the homework for tomorrow!" The teacher dismissed right before the bell rang.
I sighed in relief, dropping my head on the table.
School is so hard and Reki is acting weird...he just skated past Langa and I today....is he day dreaming?
He normally doesn't...There must be something bothering him...
"I did not get anything at all..." I whined into the table while students were leaving the classroom to go home.
"I'm done for today...." Reki also said, standing up and grabbing his bag.
"It was hard." Langa added, also standing up and grabbing his bag.
I raised my head, standing up and throwing my stuff into my bag.
"See you tomorrow then..." I smiled at them, putting the bag over my shoulders and walking towards the door.
"Yup. See ya!" Reki smiled.
"Till tomorrow." Langa also smiled, waving me goodbye.
I nodded and jogged over to the door, stopping before going out.
"It seems like today will rain. Make sure to take an umbrella or stay home, I don't want you to get a fever or something!" I smiled brightly, leaving them without any more to say.

"Miya. There you are!" I smiled as I jogged to a park after school where Miya is waiting with my skateboard.
"Took you long enough. Now. You wanted to practice your Casper Slide, right?" He jumped up from a bench, giving me my skateboard.
"Adam taught me....." I looked to the side. "But I never used it, so it's rusty." I put my bag down on the bench while the sun was now slowly setting.
"Let's just try." Miya said, taking out a bottle of water to hydrate himself.
I nodded and walked over to a ramp, getting ready to do THE slide. The one Adam is famous for. The one Langa mastered in only a day.
Good thing I'm wearing shorts under my school uniform.
I breathed in deeply before pushing myself forward with speed.
I quickly flipped the board on the tail and moved my center of gravity just right for the board to stay and slide in that position.
I smiled widely, happy that I can still do this kind of thing.
I triumphed too soon since I slipped and fell right on my side.
"Ouch..." I whinced, grabbing my arm.
"You okay?" Miya jogged over to me, kneeling down to examine my state.
"Yeah..." I whispered, slowly standing up and taking another deep breath.
"Almost got it." I laughed which made Miya smile.
"Yup. Looked pretty cool."
I nodded eagerly, standing up to try it again and again until I made a perfect Casper Slide. Meanwhile Miya corrected me and gave me helpful tips.
I sighed in relief as I landed steadily.
Miya then started clapping, jumping up from his seat again.
"You got it." He complimented, making me nod.
"Finally!" I dropped to the ground, leaning on the ramp while the sun was almost completely gone.
"We should go now. You coming to S?" He said as he looked at his phone.
"Oh...you're right. I'm not sure yet. You know...Reki is acting kinda...weird lately. I think....I think there's something on his mind....I don't know why though. I feel so bad..." I looked down, feeling guilty that I can't figure out why exactly he's like that.
"I don't know if it has to do with Langa or anything...I just want him to be happy..." I continued, silence overtaking us.
"I-I will see if I come. If Reki is going, I will too." I broke the silence, standing up and dusting my skirt off.
Miya nodded in response, being deep in thoughts himself.
"Thanks again, Miya. Seriously, you're really kind for helping me. I owe you! I will never forget that!" I laughed while walking to my bag and picking up my board on the way.
"There's n-nothing to thank for...." He shyly looked down, trying not to show his happiness.
I chuckled at the middle schooler and took my phone out to look at the time.
Shoot! My mom will kill me!!
"Okay, Miya. I better go!" I yelled before vanishing into the darkness, quickly skating home before my mother will behead me....
....
After jumping on my bed, my phone beeped, making me take it out.

Reki said he has things to do
Tell me if you're coming, I will pick you up.

I sighed, turning my phone off and face planting into my pillow.
Reki...I know there's something going on.
I will have to see myself then.
I unlocked my phone again, typing a reply and sending it before planting my face back into the pillow.

Langa❄⛷
I won't be coming either, sorry!
Take care!
____________
I guess I got no time to waste.
Let's get ready, Y/N.
I grabbed some jogging pants, a hoodie and a cap and put them on.
...
After changing and eating something, I ran out to Rekis, skating as quickly as possible.
...
As I finally made it there I jogged to the door and rang the bell.
The door opened, revealing his oldest younger sister.
"Oh? Y/N nee-san!?" She gasped, taking a popsicle in her mouth out.
"What are you doing here at this hour?" She tilted her head sweetly, making me smile.
"I'm here to see Reki. Is he home?" I asked nervously, biting my lip.
"Hm...yeah he is in his room." She nodded, stepping aside.
"I will tell my mom you're here!" She added before closing the door and jumping into the room she came from earlier.
I cleared my throat and took my shoes off before walking inside.
Walking down the hall felt like hours.
The floor was creaking every few steps
The place was dim lit and the heavy silence was killing me.
There it is....Rekis room.
I knocked on the door of his room, looking down nervously.
"What is it?" I heard Rekis voice call out tiredly.
I gulped and grabbed the handle, slowly opening the door to be met by his dark room.
My eyes took some seconds until they adjusted to the darkness before I walked in, closing the door behind me.
"Y/N?" Reki shockingly sat up a bit, putting his phone down on his bed.
"Reki...." My face softened as I saw his expression...he looks so.....hurt...
"Why are you here? Aren't you going to S?" He confusingly watched my figure come closer until I sat down on his bed.
"Reki....Langa said you're not going, so I'm not going too. You would never miss an opportunity to skate, Reki. And it's not likely for you to do work when you can go skate. Are you....okay?" I softly spoke, looking at his glowing eyes.
His pupils twitched, showing that he's not.
"I'm fine...." He softly talked, looking away from my eyes.
I chuckled under my breath and climbed up a bit so that my back was also leaning against the wall next to him.
"What were you looking at just now?" I changed the topic to try to comfort him.
"Just...videos..." He stuttered, still avoiding my eyes.
I nodded and looked around his room randomly while my fingers were playing with each other.
Silence overtook us for a while, both lost in our own thoughts.
How do I talk to him without hurting him...
Reki then broke the heavy silence with a calm tone in his raspy voice.
"You didn't have to come...."
I immediately turned myself to him.
"Reki...." I don't know what to say...
"Are you--"
"Don't ask..." He sighed, looking outside.
"Is it.....about Langa--?" He cut me off by turning to me and grabbing my shoulders.
"I said don't ask...." He quietly comanded, making me widen my eyes.
He's in so much pain....just what is he feeling?...
"R-reki....I'm sorry...."
I stopped but continued after a deep breath.
"If you have the feeling that you're not good enough....you are, Reki. You're amazing. I have told you many times, haven't I?" I smiled softly at his face which was really close.
His face didn't change, but his hands fell down while he leaned back on the wall.
"I'm sorry." He mumbled.
I watched his expression change from sad to worried to fearfull.
What is he thinking about...?
"I'll just stay for a bit if that's alright...." I asked, slipping closer to him in comfort.
I hesitantly put my hand over his shoulders, patting him gently while he stared into the darkness, his thoughts going places.
Rain started pouring down, the droplets of water vanishing into the grass outside of Rekis room.
I'm so sorry Reki....I hate seeing you in pain....
I took my cap off and put it on his head.
"You were there for me when I needed you the most, Thank you. Now you need this cap. You put it on my head just like that, right?" I softly talked while he lowered his head even more, humming in response.
Reki didn't say anymore.
We were just sitting, in the dark room.
My hand caressing his shoulder.
The clock was ticking, and so was my heart.

"Reki! You didn't do anything to Y/N-nee, did you?!?!" His sister yelled while we were drinking some water in the kitchen.
Yup...we fell asleep next to each other last night.
We woke up in a rather...weird position.
But gladly it's not a school day today.
We're just going to hang out with Langa today.
"AS IF!" Reki yelled at his sister, water spilling on the ground by that.
His mom knelt down and quickly wiped it away.
"Oh, Y/N-chan. Don't worry, I told your mom that you're staying overnight yesterday!" Rekis mom winked at me weirdly after standing up.
W-what's that supposed to mean!!
This was our first 'sleepover'.......weird that my mom agreed...
Or did Rekis mom blackmail her or something?....
Anyways, Reki has been acting even weirder today.
Did I hit a spot I shouldn't have?...
"Thank you." I smiled, putting the glass of water down on the counter.
"Everything for you!" She jokingly said, pushing Reki to the door.
"Now. Go, go. Your friend is waiting, right?" She said.
I nodded and walked to the door, putting my shoes on along Reki.
"Let's go then." I quietly announced, taking my skateboard.
"Watch out, Y/N! Okay? Skateboarding is dangerous, don't forget that!" She smiled, already waving at us.
Reki didn't say anything. He just grabbed his and walked out, me following.
"Thank you for having me!" I gave her a quick bow before catching up to Reki.
We quietly skated down the road until we spotted Langa, going down and slowly walking to the blue head looking down on his phone.
"What are you looking at?" Reki asked as we made it to him.
Langa flinched and lowered his phone.
"Huh?Oh..." A smile replaced his shocked expression while Reki was looking down.
"Adam showed up yesterday, and--" Before Langa could finish his sentence, Reki cut him off.
"I don't wanna hear it." He looked to the side, avoiding his gaze.
I worriedly watched Langa and Reki, feeling like something is about to come.
"You know how much I hate him, right?" Reki added, making Langa look down thoughtfully.
"Yeah..." He simply replied, silence taking over us.
...
"Langa..." Reki then spoke up, making me look up at him.
"Can you do that thing again?" He asked randomly.
Langa was confused but nodded, jogging down the street.
We followed, walking down to the big bridge above us.
Langa stopped before us and skated down the hill to jump of a 'ramp' and slide up a pillar of the bridge like he did the last time.
He brushed the star once again before landing.
"Is this good?" He innocently asked Reki who was just staring at him.
I haven't said anything yet....but what should I say....
"I....if you jumped ten times, how many times can you reach..." Reki started, making me furrow my eyebrows.
Is this all because of this...? Reki...
"Huh?" Langa tilted his head, making Reki realize what he said.
"Sorry! It's nothing!" He scratched the back of his head while looking down.
He tried sounding cheerful but failed.
His smile didn't look sincere.
No.
It was sincere.
But pain was hiding behind that.

I plumped into my bed and took my phone out to check for messages.
Dry...
I'm so full. My mom made so much food, I just had to eat a lot.
I closed my eyes for a second before feeling something vibrate next to my head.
I opened one eye to glance at the ID.
"Langa...?" I mumbled, taking the phone and answering it.
"Y/N. Do you know where Reki is? I just went to his house but he's not there either."
"Hmmm...I don't know. Just wait there, maybe he'll show up." I sat up, playing with the tip of my hair.
Then I heard rain pouring again, reminding me of something.
"Wait, do you have an umbrella, Langa?"
"Hm....no."
I sighed and stood up.
"I would say go inside but that would only worry his mother. I'll be right there." I quickly said before hanging up, not waiting for his response.
I grabbed an umbrella and knocked on the door of my mothers room.
"Mom, I'm going to the convenience store real quick, okay?" I asked through the door.
"Okay! Take an umbrella and be ready to beat up a kidnapper!" She jokingly said.
"Will do!" I added before hurrying to my shoes.
I stepped outside, opening the umbrella and looking up at the sky.
It looks like a storm is coming...
