DAPHNE POV

I yawned as I walked downstairs to the kitchen "Morning Dad, Kat and Casper" I said sitting down

"Morning pumpkin" Dad said grinning at me

"Good Morning Daphne" Casper smiled

"Hey Daph" Kat said taking a sip of her orange juice

"I reckon you wanna get dressed before school don't you think?" my dad asked

"Yeah right I'll be back" I said

I ran upstairs and put in something simple (outfit above :)) good enough as soon i came back downstairs i heard laughing. i just assumed it was just my family

"okay im dressed do you think i have time for breakfast?" I asked looking at my dad

"No we gotta go like now but you could just eat at school" Kat said getting up from her seat walking past me to the door

I groaned and followed after her grabbing my backpack that was by the door

"Looks like you have a visitor" I could just hear her smirk

I looked up to see the one and only Vic De Phillipi standing at my porch "Morning Daphie" he said

I closed the door behind me "Hey wonder boy"

"Your gonna come with me" he said pointing to his bike

"You know you have a way of not letting people know plans their supposed to be included in" i said giggling

"You know now I'm sure Kat's gonna be fine you can walk home with her after school"

"Yeah Daph I'll be okay plus he came all this way" Kat said giving me a reassuring smile

"You heard the lady chop chop" he said jogging down to his bike

I followed after him as soon as he got on his bike I hopped on the back wrapping my hands around his waist

i felt butterflies rush in my stomach as he rode off to school

"so daphne i was thinking last night" vic said

"about?"

"are we friends? like officially now?" he said i could tell he had hope in his voice

i thought for a little, he had been trying so hard to befriend me the least i could do is become one of his many friends

"sure.. we're friends" i said

after a while we were at school in homeroom listening to our homeroom teacher mr. curtis telling us about our upcoming assignment

"class i've been thinking about our next assignment for a while and we're going to be doing poems" he said pacing around

"it could be about anything, school, life even how you want to spend your summer break doesn't matter this is due a week after our special halloween dance" he kept on going

"so hopefully you guys take the time to really think about this" mr curtis said before the bell rang for my next period

the school day was normal nothing new. i couldn't believe the party was just in a few days i didn't even have a costume yet
