I made myself some lunch and walked out to the back deck to eat. It was peaceful being alone and enjoying the view of the water. My mom planned on leaving tomorrow afternoon but I hadn't given much thought about it.

I ate my sandwhich and scrolled through my socials on my phone. Zach had already changed his profile and even posted a picture with a new girl.

"Hey. What are you doing?" Topper walked out and pulled out the seat on the opposite side from me.

"Just eating some lunch. I'm surprised you're not off with Sarah somewhere." I laughed.

He sighed. "Yeah well I could ask you the same about Rafe."

My smile fell and I looked down at my empty plate and slowly looked back up at him. "I guess you could."

"So..when exactly did you two..ya know?" Toppers eyes looked around. He wanted to know but I could tell it made him uncomfortable.

"Do we have to talk about this? I don't ask you anything about Sarah." I tossed my hands around.

"Look, Rafe's my best friend Ken. I know how he is. You could do so much better than both of them. I don't think Rafe's a good idea for you." Topper went on. Truth was, he's probably right.

Rafe and I are total opposites. He drinks, parties, does drugs. His family life is much different than mine and he can definitely influence me if he wanted to. But Rafe is also kind, and he's respectful, and treats me better than anyone i've ever met.

"Okay Top. If it bothers you that much I won't go near him anymore. I mean i'm leaving tomorrow anyways so that's it for us, alright?" I stood up and grabbed my plate from the table and walked back inside and headed downstairs into the kitchen.

"Hey honey! Are you okay?" My mom looked up from her laptop. She sat at the bar of the kitchen.

I shook my head and faked a smile. "Just so glad I know what I'm doing with my life. I think I'm gonna go down to the beach. Can I take your car?"

"Yeah sure. Just be back tonight to pack!" My mom handed me her keys. I nodded and grabbed my backpack.

I couldn't tell her where I was actually going and I really only take my bag if I'm surfing so I had to make her believe it. I was actually driving to Barry's.

I arrived at the rundown trailer and parked close in case I needed to get away. Barry wasn't exactly the most trusting person.

I took a deep breath before walking up the trailer. Nothing but addicts sat around the porch. I looked around staying quiet anytime I talked. "Um...is Barry around?"

"In the room." An older guy who had some spike to his hair gestured inside the trailer.

I walked past them and made my way inside. My nerves were everywhere. I hadn't been to a dealers house since I got out of rehab.

I walked in the room and immediately stopped in my tracks. My eyes went wide...busted.

"Ken? What are you doing here?" Rafe's brows furrowed when he saw me.

"I-um...I just need some weed barry. Got any?" I ignored Rafe and turned my focus to Barry who stood confused with a smile on his face.

"I don't got any sorry. I'm not doing business with a bitch who thinks I'm some bitch." He looked me up and down.

I laughed. I've always been confrontational when I neeeded to be. I was used to talking to dealers as intimidating as Barry, I was just a little rusty. "You think I don't know how you guys work? I just paid you enough money the other day to cover enough supply for this whole damn house. You owe me."

I could see on Barry's face he didn't like what I said. Rafe stepped in between the two of us. "Here. I got it alright? Just give her what she wants and we'll leave."

I smirked. I didn't plan on Rafe stepping in but I somehow knew he would've.

"Here. Take your shit and get out of my fuckin house man." Barry tossed a small bag at me and I smirked turning around and walking out.

"Ken!" Rafe shouted after me. I turned around as we stood outside of the trailer. "The hell are you doing here?"

"I just needed something to take the edge off. Topper got on my case earlier and the whole thing with you and Zach has just been a lot for me." I looked into his beautiful blue eyes. I swear I could get lost in them forever.

"You know you could've come to me?" He starred at me taking in every inch of my face.

"I could've but I'm learning to be independent. I don't need to rely on anyone unless it's my mom." I shrugged and walked to open my car door.

Rafe came behind me and shut it. I turned around as he stood in front of me with his hand on the door and his arm outstretched beside my head. "Not with me around."

I bit the inside of my cheek and turned around opening my door once again and getting in. Rafe joined me in my journey. I drove to the beach and found a spot.

Rafe pulled out a small bagey filled with the white powder he's been addicted to since I met him. I felt my anxiety rise and my hands start to shake.

"Are you sure you wanna be doing this?" Rafe sounded concerned but he truly wanted me to do it.

"As if you out of all people know what I should be doing with my life." I laughed and took the bag from his hand. "Teach me. I've never done coke." I looked down and back up at him.

A smirk played on his lips. "Take your shirt off."

I looked at him confused. "What does taking my top off have anything to do with getting high?"

"Just do it." Rafe rolled his eyes.

I sighed and slipped my top off over my head. "Whatever."

"Lay back." He demanded. I followed his instructions and laid back on my elbows. I watched as he grabbed his wallet and pulled out a card and poured some of the powder onto my chest just above my bust.

He neatly lined the powder, then proceeded to grab a dollar out of his wallet that had already been crinkled indicating it was probably the same dollar he'd always use.

He was focused. It was as if he were performing a magic trick. He leaned rolled and placed the dollar just at the entrance of his nostril and inahaled. His face lit up with his perfect smile. I couldn't help but smile when he did, because it was rare when he did.

"Oops left some on you." Rafe starred at my chest and leaned down. His tongue touched my skin and sent goosebumps all over. "Got it."

"Okay now take your shirt off. My turn." I smiled.

Rafe smiled back and used both of his hands to slide his shirt off over his head. He laid back in the same position I was in. Except I poured the powder on his perfectly sculpted abdomen. His body had the perfect tan and lines in all the right places.

I leaned down and snorted the powder I had just poured. I poured out a tiny bit more and did another line.

"Hey...maybe chill out?" Rafe suggested. "Just one lines enough alright?"

I ignored him and licked the excess of just as he did to me. As I lifted my head his eyes made contact with mine. We starred at each other and he pulled me in for a kiss pulling my body onto his.

"You're trouble Kennedy." Rafe smirked.

"I know. Shit I gotta be home." I grabbed my shirt and Rafe and I took off.
