OLIVIA WAS GIDDY. THE GOOD KIND OF GIDDY.

The moment they poofed off stage and onto the sides of the joint she was immediately crushed in hugs from the different boys.

Reggie crushed her into a bear hug and lifted her off the ground slightly making Olivia laugh.

"You were incredible! I've missed playing with you, oh you were amazing!" Reggie exclaimed but before Olivia could thank him she was then stolen by her brother who hugged her tight as well and whispered in her ear.

"Look I know you were nervous about it at first but man Livia, you rocked out there! I couldn't be more proud of you." Alex whispered and Olivia nearly teared up at his words.

Olivia had looked up to her older brother her whole life, praises, and words of reassurance from him were everything.

Then finally after Alex let her go, Luke grinned at her before lifting the girl in a hug and spinning her around causing the girl to shriek.

"Luke! Put me down oh my god!" The girl yelled despite her laughter.

When Luke set her down, his hands never left her waist as he stared into the girl's bright blue eyes that shone just like stars

he felt like he could take days to map out all the constellations.

"I am so so so proud of you Ol you have no idea. You were amazing god I couldn't be more happier or prouder." Luke said tenderly as he gave her waist a slight squeeze and Olivia smiled widely.

It took everything in her to stop her heart from doing flip.

God she loved her boys, she adored them. At that moment she thanked the gods that she always had them, and that they always had her.

"Thank you guys" She sighed with slightly damp eyes, the boys had teared up too from the amount of pride they had felt seeing her on stage.

Olivia looked around the joint and spotted Julie and Flynn over at the spot they were at before the performance, she signaled to the guys and they all poofed over.

"You were incredible!" Flynn gushed at Julie and the girl bashfully smiled.

"Yeah, we were!" Reggie said from where he leaned against the counter. Alex, Luke, and Olivia sat on the counter with Olivia sitting between the two boys.

"Hey! Whoever Carrie was trying to impress is coming this way!" Luke exclaimed, they all turned to see the manager lady Carrie was talking to walk in their direction and Olivia felt excited flips in her stomach.

Was this finally it? Were they finally going to get the big break they had all been dreaming about?

"She looks all business," Alex said in awe.

"Wait, who should do the talking?" Reggie asked excitedly, Julie gave the boy a deadpan and he raised his hands in surrender.

"Right Julie."

"You got this" Olivia said gently when Julie turned around to give the ghosts a nervous look. She turned back around just as the lady walked over and stuck her hand out for Julie to shake.

"Hi I'm Andy Parker and I would like to -"

"Julie!" A voice snapped from behind, cutting off whatever Andy had been trying to say.

Julie froze and they all slowly looks up to see Ray, Julie's dad, staring at his daughter with a stern and disappointed face.

Olivia's heart dropped, Julie was so screwed.

"Dad." Julie breathed nervously.

"it's time to go."

the 4 ghosts all sat in Julies living room, Olivia in between Alex and Luke yet again on the couch and Reggie in the armchair. Olivia's legs rested over Luke's lap and he traced soft gentle patterns onto her bare leg sending a soft shiver down her spine.

None of the other two boys thought anything of it, Olivia had always been close with Luke and it wasn't abnormal to see them act affectionate like that.

They watched as Carlos tried to search for the ghost he strongly believed was in the house, not realizing they were sitting on his couch.

Carlos jumped when his Aunt turned on the living room lights and scolded him about ghosts not being real.

"Typical adult. Do you remember when we were kids and they never believed what we said?'' Reggie scoffed.

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's just a 'you' and Olivia thing," Alex said.

"Uh excuse me?" Olivia asked with a frown as she faced her brother.

"Livia, after you watched Peter Pan you believed in fairies for years."

"And I do still believe in fairies!" Olivia huffed childishly as she crossed her arms and placed her legs back on the ground.

"Shouldn't we be more concerned about Julie? Her dad just busted her and is probably making her quit the band." Luke sighed with a frown.

"Well there's not much we can do about that now but...we can still help Carlos," Reggie said as he pointed to the small boy who was still trying to convince his Aunt that ghosts were real.

"Adults not believing in children ends tonight. Showtime!."

Reggie then turned around and switched off the lamp. The light went out and Carlos and his aunt looked up.

"If ghosts aren't real, explain that," Carlos said amazed while his aunt rolled his eyes.

"Light bulbs burn out all the time Carlos."

"Wrong answer Tiรก explain this," Reggie said, he went over to the blinds that were covering the window and pulled on the string, causing the blinds to open and close furiously as he played with them with a smile.

The remaining three ghosts watched him with annoyed and tired expressions, Olivia rolled her eyes as she leaned back on the sofa. Without either of them noticing, Luke had subconsciously shifted closer to the girl, causing their knees to touch.

Luke tried to slow his beating heart as she subtly tried to slide his fingers over Olivias, Olivia kept a straight face as the tips of their fingers grazed and rested over each other.

This boy was driving her nuts.

Carlos and his aunt were now watching the blinds, Carlos with a grin on his face and his Aunt with a face of fear.

"Maybes it's my mom!" Carlos said but his Aunt wasn't having it as she gripped his shoulders in fear.

"She knows I haven't been replacing the toilet paper." He added, which caused a soft laugh from Olivia. The sound of her voice made Luke smile.

"Your mama would never scare us, this is the work of a demon!" Tia exclaimed. As soon as she said those words Reggie stopped playing with the blinds and pouted with a heartbroken expression.

"Hey, words hurt."

"Wait! I got to get it on video." Carlos said, swiping across his Ipad.

"Yeah you do, time for an old classic." Reggie grabbed a white sheet from one of the couches and placed it over himself, making himself look like the kind of ghost kids dressed up as for Halloween.

To the 3 ghosts sitting on the couch, he looked stupid and made Olivia snicker, but to Carlos and his aunt, it genuinely looked like a ghost since the sheet to them was floating in mid-air.

Carlos watched in awe as his aunt started wailing in fear, quickly pulling the child away before anything else could happen.

Reggie laughed as he removed the sheet and fell onto an armchair looking proud of himself.

Olivia watched as her brother and Luke gave him a glare with folded arms.

"Do you have any idea what you've done?' Alex asked but Reggie was quick to respond.

"Yeah, I do! I've defended every kid whos never been believed. Some might say I'm a superhero" Reggie said with a proud look, Olivia raised a brow and his smirk immediately fell.

"We should hide before Julie finds out huh? Reggie asked. The boy immediately ran out of the living room in fear of Julie's wrath, Alex following him with a sigh.

Just as Olivia made a move to stand and follow them, Luke grabbed the girl's hand and pulled her down beside him. The girl faced the boy with a raised brow and Luke gave her a sweet smile.

"How did you feel about performing for the first time?" Luke asked tentatively, rubbing small circles on the back of Olivia's hand which he still held.

"I mean at first, I wasn't sure what I was doing. I sorta froze when I saw the huge crowd and I mean I knew there were a lot of people but there were a lot of people. I was terrified I was gonna repeat the panic attack incident but then Reggie made some stupid face and I remembered: I was gonna be okay, cause no matter what you boys would be there right by my side if anything went wrong.

Then when I started playing I just couldn't stop, the music just flowed out of me, and god Luke it felt incredible, I hadn't felt that way in a long time. I didn't realize how much I missed performing for you guys, I much I missed the thrill or the adrenaline rush. I love music, I don't think I could ever live without it." Olivia gushed, Luke gazed at the girl with so much love as she spoke.

Olivia Mercer was never going to be able to comprehend the deep love Luke Patterson had for her from the moment he met her. He could watch her for hours and not get bored, and he watched as she spoke about music with stars in her eyes. Olivia made Luke's heart swoon and pound in ways he had never felt before.

It drove him nuts, she drove him nuts.

"Thank you," Olivia said quietly, they had moved closer to each other during the conversation. Heir faces mere inches apart.

"What for?" Luke whispered.

"For believing in me."

Luke squeezed the girl's hand.

"Always"

~~~
"Olivia walk faster!"
"Oh I'm sorry Mr 5 ft 8"
Luke laughed at the girl as he continued to drag her along the halls of Julie's school.
They both decided to visit the girl since they had nothing to do. Olivia wore a yellow floral sundress that stopped a hand above her knee, she wore the same heels from last night and her long blonde hair hung over her shoulders loosely with a braided crown on her head which Luke helped her do that morning.
The teens laughed as they dodged the many students along to corridors, their hands never separating.
"This reminds me of all the times we used to sneak out of detention." Luke laughed, and Olivia made a face.
"Correction: when I used to help you sneak out of detention. I swear you got into so much trouble back then." Olivia laughed as they reminisced about the times back in high school, when they had to run along the halls quietly to avoid alerting the teachers in charge of detention that day.
They finally spotted Julie by her locker and Luke grinned, pulling Olivia along as they stand behind the girl's open locker door.
Olivia raised a brow but the boy just held a finger to his lips, telling her to be quiet. They let go of each other's hands as they wait for Julie to finish collecting her books.
Julie closed the locker door and jumped at the sight of the 2 ghosts.
"Hey" They grinned while Julie yelped in surprise.
"Normal people don't do that and ghosts definitely shouldn't." Julie sighed but smiled at the ghosts nonetheless.
"What are you guys doing here?"
"We need to talk about what song we're gonna play tonight. Olivia and I were thinking "Great" " Luke said as Olivia nodded.
Julie warily glanced at the other students around her and pulled out her phone, pressing it to her ear.
Olivia understood what she was doing but Luke, not so much.
"You just gonna take a phone call in the middle of talking? You know how rude that is-"
"Hey! Thanks for calling otherwise people might think I'm talking to myself." Julie cut Luke off with a sarcastic smile.
"Right, nice" Luke grinned as Olivia laughed.
"I think 'Great' is a great choice." Julie chuckled at her pun.
"Sweet, well that's pretty much what we wanted to talk to you about so.." Luke mumbled, causing Olivia to elbow him.
"Tell her what you really wanted to say." Olivia pressed as Luke rubbed his ribs with a pout.
"That hurt."
"Luke!"
"Okay! Okay, look I know I'm not the easiest person to work with but I-I wanted to tell you I think you make us better writers." Luke said with a bashful.
"We don't think, we know," Olivia added as Julie gave them a grateful smile.
"I think we all make each other better."
"Hey, Julie!" A voice called from behind Olivia and Luke, they all turned to see a blonde boy walking down the hall towards them with a grin on his face.
Luke stared at the boy slightly confused whereas Olivia whipped around and faced Julie with a wild grin.
"Is that Nick?" Olivia squealed, Julie gave the girl a tight smile as Luke faced them.
"Whos Nick?
"Gotta go bye" Julie quickly spoke into the phone as she faced the boy she had a crush on forever. Olivia smiled wildly as the 2 of them talked about the dance they had to do for class, now and then Luke mocked the boy while Julie expertly ignored him.
Once they left for class Olivia sighed.
"You know, we never got to go to prom," Olivia mumbled.
All the conversation about dances between Julie and Nick just reminded her of the prom she never got to go to.
Sure Olivia wasn't always the biggest fan of dances but you only get one prom your whole life. Olivia looked forward to dancing in a nice dress, with a boy who would ask her with a sweet proposal.
She had hoped that boy would've been Luke.
Luke watched the girl's sad smile and grinned, taking her hand.
"Oh no, I know that look. You're up to something Patterson." Olivia teased with a smile.
"trust me, you'll love this idea"
