THE BOYS NEVER WANTED TO BREAK INTO JULIE's ROOM EVER AGAIN.

Olivia had sat them down on the couch and shouted at them for going into a girls' room without permission, and taking her private stuff.

The poor boys sat down terrified and with their mouths shut as the small girl stood scolding them

After many apologies and promises never to do it again, Olivia finally decided to let them off with a huff and sat down on a chair with her guitar.

She was sick and tired of Luke's ignorant behavior lately and the way he was always dismissing her even if it was for his own good, Luke had been let down so many times before and Olivia had seen firsthand how upset he would get after how hard he worked.

She hated seeing Luke get let down cause she knows how hard the boy works not just for him but for the other guys too, it was one of the things she loved about him.

He thought just because people could see them right now that that was gonna get their music careers back on track?

Olivia knew better than that and she wished she could get Luke to see it too.

She was consumed by her thoughts she didn't even see Luke make his way over and sit beside her on another nearby chair.

"Penny for your thoughts? Your not still mad are you?" he asked the blonde gently and she sighed

"I'm not I was just... Thinking about our lives right now.." the girl trailed off

"Tell me" luke pressed gently, and the girl stopped strumming and turned to face the brunette. She stared into his hazel eyes and his heart did flips at the intensity.

"I don't know, I'm worried you're getting your hopes up I mean, yeah people can see and hear you guys play but are we really sure this is gonna last in the long run? We can't possibly keep depending on Julie to be seen, someone gonna find out sooner or later." the girl stressed.

Luke sighed and frowned " your still on about this? Olivia we're gonna be fine, we'll find a way . I don't know why you're so against this, don't you want us to perform again? To go on tour ?" The boy said slightly hurt, Olivia was always on his side, or the band's side, but she kept shooting down his dreams lately.

Olivia's eyes widened and she quickly grasped his hand, " oh no no no, it's not that. Of course, I want you guys to continue performing and go on tour! I just- I'm just scared that if this doesn't work out your gonna get let down again and I just don't want that to happen to you, to any of the guys." she sighed

Luke felt guilty, he should've known that Olivia only said what she did out of care for the guys, for him.

he shouldn't have assumed it was just because she didn't want him to be happy.

God only knows how much Lukes's happiness meant to her.

Luke gave the girl's hand a squeeze before pulling away to tune his guitar

"don't worry, this isn't gonna be the last time. It's all gonna work out I promise" The boy grinned at her and the girl forced a smile back, there he went again, brushing off all her concerns and living in his dreamland.

It was getting annoying

Olivia gave up and just joined Luke in working up a melody and the chords for Julie's poem, Reggie eventually joining them to help with the harmonies.

"Guess that means im buying lunch that day, I know all your secrets you know all my deep dish. Guess that means somethings never .." Luke sang, testing out the melody Olivia and he created for the song, Reggie was hitting the tempo for the song against the piano before he interrupted Luke

"Wait so when she says "deep dish", is she talking about pizza or ..? " Reggie asked confused.

"Man I could go for some Chicago deep-dish pizza right now." Olivia sighed from where she sat on top of the piano, beside Luke.

Just as Luke opened his mouth to respond, Alex poofed onto the piano and sat between Luke and Reggie.

"Oh! Hey, man where you been?" Reggie asked with a smile

"Yeah Alex, where have you been?" Olivia teased with a knowing smile, Alex blushed ever so slightly and rolled his eyes at his sister.

"Uhm, kind of everywhere. Yeah I met a new ghost friend!" he said beaming at Reggie

"For real?" Reggie asked with wide eyes.

"Yeah he answered a ton of questions," Alex responded.

"Like whether Julies gonna join them or not?" Luke asked sarcastically which caused Olivia to roll her eyes at his frustration.

"Uhm.. well we didn't really get to that but I think I know why we're here. Ok, all ghosts have like unfinished business. So we need to do our unfinished business so we can cross over." Alex said.

Olivia started to think about what their unfinished business could possibly be before luke spoke up again

"Why would we do that?" Luke snapped slightly, Alex looked at him slightly hurt by his tone and he immediately looked away guilty.

"I- I'm just saying, this is our second chance. All we need to do is get Julie to play with us." Luke stammered and Reggie nodded in agreement.

"Yeah not only can that girl sing, but she can also write too," he said and Olivia pointed at him in agreement.

"Olivia and Luke made a killer melody to one of her lyrics," Reggie said and Luke passed him the book for Alex to see.

"oh, without your drummer. Cool." Alex said monotonously.

"Drumming is so 90's ok? We're just gonna stomp our feet now." Luke said, imitating a cute stomping action that made Olivia break out into a small smile.

"Ok, you know what else is so 90's? Being rude, alright. Get woke, these are sensitive times." Alex said offended, slamming Luke's book against his chest causing the boy to yelp.

"I learned that from my ghost friend," Alex whispered shyly to Olivia and the girl giggled at her brother's bashfulness when it came to Willie

"Woke," Reggie said as if testing out the word and Alex and Olivia laughed.

"what does it mean," Reggie asked Alex

"no clue" he responded back with a small smile as Olivia laughed.

Julie bursted into the garage looking desperate and Olivia raised a brow

"what's up" she asked the girl.

"I'm gonna need you guy's help ." The girl said.

The 4 ghosts and Julie spent most of their afternoon on the poem, which they decided to call "Flying Solo" and practiced it to smoothen out the song.

Luke and Julie took lead vocals and Reggie, Alex and Olivia harmonized in the back with Olivia taking some main lines in the pre-chorus, and as usual, they sounded amazing.

Olivia was going to be performing with them and when Julie first asked her if she wanted to the girl said no but with encouragement from the guys she gave in.

It definitely made it easier knowing that it was just going to be Flynn watching but they couldn't be more proud of her finally stepping out of her comfort zone and if Olivia was being honest, it was about time she started giving performing in front of people another shot.

When the time came, the 4 ghosts were already in position.

Olivia stood beside Luke and near Alex since Reggie liked having his space to jam and they respected that.

Julie nervously fiddled with her mic stand and Olivia smiled

"hey stop worrying, she's going to love the song, and once she sees us there's no way she's not gonna believe you okay?" Olivia told the girl and the boys nodded along.

A knock on the garage door cut off the Latino's response and Julie rushed to the door, opening it to reveal a bored-looking Flynn.

"thanks for coming, we just wanted to rehearse the song to make sure it's perfect, which it's not but whatever," Julie said

"what she talking about, this song slaps," Luke said which caused Olivia to laugh.

"no, if I'm gonna hear a song from your imaginary ghost band I want it to be perfect so get back in there. All of you, you too" Flynn sassed and pointed into the garage where she assumed the ghosts were standing and Olivia whistled.

"she's a stubborn one," she said to Alex, the brother nodded.

Once Flynn was in the garage Julie looked at the ghosts

"Alright guys, you ready?" 3 of them nodded but Reggie let out a whine.

"can you ask her to move, she's cramping my space and I need space to rock out. I don't wanna walk through her" he pouted and Julie chuckled.

"actually can you go over there? Reggie needs space to rock out and he feels kinda weird walking through you" Julie told Flynn and the girl laughed.

"Boy, when you create a world you really live in it." Flynn mocked Julie but sat in the chair Julie provided nonetheless.

"if you notice, there's no equipment that will produce a hologram. Feel free to look around." Julie said but Flynn just flicked her hair.

Julies walked back over to her keyboard and started playing a few synth beats on her beat pad, she placed the beat on replay and started singing into her mic, playing the keyboard as she did.

"if I leave you on a bad note leave you on a sad note means I'm buying lunch that day." Julie sang.

As the song progressed, Olivia could tell Flynn was slowly warming up and jamming to the song, dropping the cold act she had on earlier and the blonde tried to shake off the nerves as her part was coming up soon.

"When I look at you it's like im looking at me." Julie sang and that was their cue.

The 4 ghosts materialized out of nowhere and started to play with Julie and Flynn jumped back, stunned.

"my life - my life will be real low zero flying solo, ohh. " Flynn watched the ghosts with her jaw dropped but the 4 ghosts couldn't care less.

Olivia moved towards Reggie and the 2 of them shared a mic as they harmonized with Julie, both of them jamming out on their guitars with grins on their faces.

Luke moved towards Flynn with a smile singing and shredding his guitar as Julie moved over to Olivia and the 2 girls jammed to the song together.

"my life- my life will be real low zero, flying solo"

"ohh"

"my life -my life will be real low zero, flying solo without you"

The 4 ghosts rocked out hard as Julie brought Flynn over to meet them, Luke moved over to Olivia and the 2 of them shredded guitar riffs on each of their guitars, both of them head banging to the music.

Julie led Flynn over to Olivia and Luke where they sang along to the song, Olivia sending the girl a wink while Luke slightly jumped at her playfully when they sang "hey!".

Flynn walked over to Reggie and placed her hand right through him, her expression shocked.

"weird right?" Reggie said as he smiled at the girl.

"their ghosts!" Flynn exclaimed, finally coming to terms with what Julie had been trying to tell her all along.

"we prefer musician spirits," Alex said from where he sat at the drums.

"Julie, does this mean you're joining our band?" Luke asked with hopeful eyes but just as Julie was about to respond, Flynn cut in.

"Um actually, I think you're joining her band," Flynn said as the 2 girls wrapped their arms around each other.

The 4 ghosts grinned.

"hell yeah, I like the sound of that," Olivia said and the music started up again.

"my life -my life will be really low, zero. Flying solo without you!"
